I used to come here all the time with my kids, and we got out routine.. that and the $4 cups gets old. But, Tuesday, we came with the kids and enjoyed ourselves!! Went there with my wife today and got one small bowl of ice cream and two smoothies. The guy had no idea how to make a smoothie. He spent 30 minutes on two smoothies and couldn't get the runny texture required to pour it into our cup. He had to blend it 8 different times. By the time I got our smoothes they tasted like orange. Check out the sign. 3 different sizes come with a hand rolled waffle cone. That is, until you choose the Best Value option. Then they tell you it's too much ice cream for a cone so it comes in a paper cup. It's gonna cost you extra for the cone it's supposed to come with. The manager confirmed I was reading the sign correctly but refused to budge. If I want the cone, pay extra for it. Five minutes later, after she watched me take a picture of the sign, she offered me that cone at no charge. Kudos to the mgr for finally doing the right thing. Shame on the owner for misleading patrons and putting your crew in an awkward position. Take the sign down or get a new one cheap skate. One other note, the store is gross and dirty. read more

Came in to order a whole cake. The two girls working were more interested in chatting it up than customer service. Did not bother asking if I had questions when I was looking at the cakes. Once I picked one she just grabbed it and tossed it not so gently onto the counter, rang it up and asked for the money. Her attitude was horrible. This rating is for the service we just received from the manager at this location. Absolutely horrible! What a bad example. Attitude from the start as if we are a bother. Told them it was our first time and they didn't even bother to explain the menu. The other young lady working with the manager was nice. She served me. My husband unfortunately was served by the manager. He asked for extra snickers and she shrugged no and continue to put whip cream without adding the extra snickers. This place is like any other ice cream shop like Marble Slab or Baskin Robbins, with the fun mix ins and what not. So this review is based on the shop itself. It was very clean and the staff welcomed us with smiling faces. They were patient and willing to let me try as many ice cream flavors as I wanted before deciding (Sorry to the people that were standing behind us). I finally went with the sweet cream mixed with fudge, strawberries and cookie dough - which was very good! I only wished there were more seating available. Maggie Moo's has some good iced cream and cones, but I always seem to leave irritated with the service and crappy attitude of the servers. I'd be happy to never go there again. I don't know who the owner is, but the servers there seem to not understand basic concepts of customer service. AND they are SO so chincy with things like ice, water cups, cones, etc. Call me old-fashioned, but if I spend $11 on 2 cones, I would appreciate it if they could float some ice in my water, but they don't. If I ask for water, they refuse to give me ice and give me a tiny little cup (about 6 oz.). The first time I asked for water the kid behind the counter was like, "Uh ... did you want a bottle of water?" "No, I'd just like a cup of ice water." "Well, I can give you some water, but it's ... er ... tap water." Like I'm supposed to be ashamed to drink tap water or something. I'm new here -- is the tap water dangerous? Or is this kid just spoiled by plastic bottles? Tonight we were there and they served my wife a cone with no bottom (the bottom inch or so of the cone was broken off). I went inside and told the teeny-bopper server and asked if they could give me another cone because my wife's cone was missing part of it. She refused, "Well, we don't have any more of those chocolate cones...but I'll give you this paper cup." Seriously? No more cones? Also, my cone was fully perforated and thin (defectively thin). The iced cream just poured out the sides. In short, the customer service there is miserable. =========== ADDENDUM============ I just got a "compliment" from an employee there. Here's what Twinkerbelle wrote: "I work at MM's, and I am NEVER rude to a customer. I get compliments on my attitude on a daily basis. And by the way, we don't have any ice in the store. Or we would gladly put it in your tap water. Or you could buy $1 bottle of water." What do you think of the attitude? Seriously ... an iced cream parlor and they can't make ice? What happened? My wife and I loved this place years ago. Had a Birthday cake or two. It's been several years. Today I went to get some ice cream for a little after Father's Day dinner treat for the family. I gave up and walked out 20+ minutes and drive to a great place by Lakeline mall due to: 1. Sewer gas, sulfur, poop scent coming from back of store in the only waiting line area which was compressed by the below. 2. Water dripping in to buckets by the poop scent line. 3. Complete lack of customer service by the "senior" staff at the counter who interrupted me to tell me that I was only "allowed" to order one item at a time so the guy could follow me among other numerous issues. 1 choc qt. 1 vanilla qt I have no intention of ever returning to this store. Would advise others to do the same until they at least take care of the stench and attitudes. read more

I love Maggie Moo's ice cream. The flavor is delicious and clearly high-quality without being so over-the-top as to make it ridiculously expensive. So, a great treat without breaking the bank! I generally would give any Maggie Moo's a 4-star just for quality, options, creativity, and not skimping on toppings. The service at this location, though, gives me pause. Not very friendly, but not outwardly rude per se. I get that it's a job the kids (and the adult one time) don't really want, but ice cream is supposed to be fun. Another guy appears from the back, and despite us asking him to please help with the line, he simply disappears back into the back, leaving the girl alone again to do all orders and the cash register. I went there for the June ice cream special today: June 7th, 2012. The June ice cream special, Mango Fusion, which is advertised on a large poster in the window, includes the following: Mango lychee ice cream, mango chunks, strawberry chunks, and strawberry topping. When I didn't see the mango lychee ice cream in the case, I asked about it. The clerk simply said they didn't have it. When I asked why not, since it was the month of June after all, he just shrugged his shoulders. OK, so I decide on a different type of ice cream, but still expect the other three ingredients: mango chunks, strawberries, and strawberry topping. As I watch him make it, I notice that he skips the mango chunks. I asked him to put in the mango chunks, and he said they didn't have mango either! It's at this point, that I realize that I'm not getting anything close to the Mango Fusion. He had neither the mango lychee ice cream, nor mango chunks. Why then is the poster in the window advertising a special that is not being sold? I asked if he could give me a discount, and he completely ignored me. Thinking that perhaps he just didn't hear me, I asked again at the register. He said that he could not give me any sort of discount, and instead, charged me full price for something that was obviously not even close to described: $6.50! Completely shocked at his poor customer service, I asked this teenager to speak with a manager. He said there was none present. I refused to pay for this dessert, and left. This is not how a business should be run, and I will not be returning. read more

I'm saddened to be the first to review Maggie Moo's. We always get the unhealthy large containers of ice cream. I always get chocolate and banana swirl, and sometimes with fresh bananas added. The wife always gets the cotton candy flavor. It tastes EXACTLY like cotton candy! But, be warned, it makes you poop blue! I'm serious! They also have regular changes of flavors, from red bull to twizzler, and they're all so good. I wish it was cheaper, but it's the same at all the other custom ice cream places too. read more

I generally don't eat ice cream, but Maggie Moo's is always a good idea. I don't know what diet you are trying to follow, but this place is worth cheating for. The line can run out the door sometimes, but it moves along at a reasonable pace. There are little tables inside and out. The interior is colorful and cheerful, but I actually prefer sitting outside (unless it's winter, obviously). I always get the $5 cup with toppings, but I ALWAYS have a hard time deciding on a flavor, because they're all so good. Ask for a sample of a few different ones, and you will have the same impossible decision to make. Many flavors, some of which are pretty uncommon. I've got to say, though, the Mexican Vanilla blows my mind. Now, you may be asking, "Why would you go to a place with all those different flavors only to have vanilla? You can get that anywhere!" Not like this, you can't. There are two flavors of vanilla here, and Mexican Vanilla is amazing. I would say that one is definitely my favorite. read more

Maggie Moo's is an acceptable alternative to Amy's Ice Cream. The two are undoubtedly comparable, considering they both have my favorite stand-by flavor - Mexican Vanilla. The greatest difference between the two are the texture of the ice cream and the rotation of flavors. Maggie Moo's ice-cream is far softer and creamier than Amy's. For me, this texture is preferable, as it allows for more efficient eating, mixings, and generous scoopings. I'm more of a soft-serve ice cream type anyway, and there's something frustrating about not being able to get a spoonful out of your bowl after the ice cream's been scooped. Additionally, the mixings are just as good if not better than Amy's. My usual combo at MM's is the cotton candy and gummi bears. Their gummi bears are delicious on their own, and they're a huge treat when you come across one in the mountain of Superman-blue cotton candy deliciousness they manage to squeeze in to a child's cup. They offer some seasonal special flavors. My favorites have been churro, egg nog and peppermint. Maybe not as 'exciting' as Amy's, who changes their flavors every day, but it's nice to have reliability when you have a hankering for something sweet and comforting. All-in-all, this a favorite dessert spot for me...it's not as fun as Amy's, but the cotton candy/gummi bear mix always brings me back. read more

Ice cream tasted great. Nice toppings. Nice staff. But...the place is not so clean. Tables and chairs were all sticky. The kids' highchairs looked like they had never been wiped. It's really a bummer that the tables all look out the big window to...the garbage. It's pretty unappetizing to look at trash puddles while eating ice cream. We would've eaten outside but none of tables had any shade. I started going here because my bank gives my kids gift cards on their birthdays, and I am pretty sure I spend more in birthday gift-cards than actual cash. It is is a great little place for ice cream. The staff is friendly, the flavors are great and the mixins are very enjoyable as well. If you are here with kids, I recommend the kid's cup -- it's not on the menu and it's only $1 less than the small for half as much ice cream, but it's just the right size for a kid. Unless you're going to share, I think it's the best way to go. My kids enjoy the bright blue ice cream. Actually, I think my kids enjoy being able to pick out their ice cream, and the fact that it is ice cream. They also enjoy mixins, especially the sprinkles. My wife loves the coffee flavored ice cream. I personally... you know, I don't even like ice cream that much. I just enjoy raiding the place with my kids, because they think I'm the best daddy in the world and know they're loved when I treat them here (especially my 4-year-old). They have a sign on their register that they don't accept $100 bills, and I know it's tacky but every time I check out I tell the cashier I don't have anything but 100's, just to check their reaction. So far though, ice cream received post-lotsa-extras-added has always been perfect. For those who want lots of options for your ice cream, this is the place to go. Their red velvet cake is pretty darn accurate to the original cake flavor and once you get some fudge and caramel and brownie mixed into it, it passes beyond sinful. Cost is a little more than you'd spend at some other places, but I assure you it's well worth it. Best Ice cream cake we ever had. Bought Pecan Perfection ice cream cake for 30 people but first 20 people came for the party ate all the cake. Had to order some other cake at that moment to feed the rest 10. Everyone liked the cake a lot that took the photo of the cake and the box for the Company name (Maggie Moo's). I will definitely recommend to the friends and family and I have already recommended everyone in the party. Will definitely buy for the other parties. FINALLY- They fixed the door. For several months, there was a tie (literally a string) on the door that you had to pull to open the door because it was broke. How the locked the door, is beyond me. Any who, we went here last night. I LOVE Ice Cream and it's always our go-to for desert treats. We Moved here around Jan of 2014 and have been here several times. Around summer time, it started to really go down hill. The door broke, the wonderful manger started to be NO WHERE IN SITE, and these little kids in this ship obviously have problems with us AND their co-workers. As we were putting our mix ins, one girl PURPOSELY bumped into the girl who was mixing my fiance's ice cream. When the girl who got bumped said excuse me ( very politely) the other girl said " Well you shouldn't be in my way". We saw this happen and immediately felt bad for the girl AND felt really uncomfortable for her and ourselves as well. While the young lady never said or did anything wrong to us, it made us feel very uncomfortable. We are not okay with bullying and i really hope that this girl doesn't have to put up with this at work. I think that if the manager spent more time at the actual store, this place would be in better shape and the presence of leadership would prevent any bullying like this again. Of course, we have no names of the girls who were there (no name tags) but i really hope that since the door is finally fixed, that means someone is playing attention. I have come here before were the ice cream is GREAT and once when it was freezer burnt. I asked for a exchange and they refuse. That's why we haven't been back until last night. I'll keep this short and simple: I came here for the strawberry cheesecake ice cream.. Got strawberry cheesecake soup instead.
