We still hadn't decided on a dinner spot when our Uber driver arrived. He recommended Maggie Bluffs and we were feeling adventurous, so we asked him to take us there. It wasn't perfect, but overall it was a good experience. My veggie burger was delicious. My companion said her salmon was not as fresh as it could be, but was still good. Service was slow. The view, however, made up for any of Maggie Bluffs' shortcomings. We watched the glow of the sunset reflect on Seattle's skyline and the maria's boats. They gave us blankets when we got cold. They had outdoor heaters (though they weren't working the night we visited, prompting a move inside after dark). read more

I don't think we've ever had a worse breakfast (or in this case, several bites of a breakfast). Our server was great, the location was nice, the coffee and water were good, but the food was awful. Maggie Bluffs has just six things on their "brunch" menu -- those six things should all be good. Everything on our plates was lukewarm. The "housemade" buttermilk biscuits were tough, rubbery, flavorless and felt like they'd had been microwaved (but they still weren't hot). The poached eggs I ordered were more like an undercooked egg soup. My husband's scrambled eggs had no seasoning, but conversely the potato cubes were intensely overseasoned and salty. The "housemade" sausage was gray (not browned) and not hot. I don't know what town the "Hometown Breakfast" was from, but I definitely do not want to go there. read more

Whaaa? $25 for a 64oz growler! You have GOT to be kidding me. They offer growler filling in these COVID days, but then they poured the beer into a jug, and from the jug into the growler. So, it was 1/5 froth anyway. Irritating. read more

Had a perfect lunch today with my wife. Blue skies, great service and terrific food. I especially liked the new tables and chairs on the patio. Much better. The blackened ahi club is superb. Great value! Go there often and will be going many more times. read more

We took another couple from out of town to dinner at this restaurant on a Sunday night. Called and do not take reservations. Arrived and a 30 minute wait was available. No seating while waiting. Stood outside in the wind for 30 minutes. The restaurant was empty and clearly understaffed. Was seated after 30 minutes. Ordered wine and dinner was served before the wine. All the doors and windows were open at 6:30 in the evening so it was freezing inside. Dinner was aweful. Service a 2. And the hostess delivered the food. The location is below Palisades Restaurant a $$$$ property. Used their heated restrooms, what a treat. Never going back, even for the spectacular view of Seattle. read more

This is our last day in Seattle and someone told us to check out this place. I had the hot crab & artichoke sandwich & clam chowder. It was great. Also tried the key lime pie it was very good and not tart at all. Please give them a try. read more

Cool little Cafe with great views! Is this a fine dining establishment? No, but it has a great, family- friendly menu selection and a delicious open face crab and artichoke melt! Moderate prices, and a lovely patio overlooking Magnolia's salt water marina, as well as Rainier and West Seattle. A favorite on a sunny day. Good happy hour drink prices, too! It's a neighborhood gem, and I don't get the 3 star rating, so had to chime in. read more

Me and the fam just went there today for a little lunchy munchy. Great for outdoor seating during our great Seattle summer days! Had the Pulled Pork and it was good. Not Flame good ...but good. Piece of advice: They use a small baguette for their Pork Sandwich and it is a little tough. Ask to have them use a regular hamburger bun because 1) it just tastes better and you won't cut the roof of your mouth like the baguette would and 2) the bun is bigger and that means they have to put more pork to fill it! I also love the fact that they top the pork with coleslaw as that is the way to eat em. Other places you need to order on the side. Their buffalo wings are tasty too! I recall in the past that they usually use only drumettes which make for an easier time to eat "wings" but this time around they actually used wings. read more

I think we're done here. My wife and I have been going to Maggie's since they opened. Fantastic setting - especially on a sunny summer night. In the past, the food and service was great. We loved going there and my kids did too. In fact, that's where one of my daughters wanted to go on her birthdays. (Just setting the table here) Well, something changed. It's been on a slow decline over the years. We stopped for happy hour tonight and left extremely disappointed. We ordered the happy hour nachos. We should have read the menu a little closer. Instead of cheddar cheese, the nachos were topped with cheddar cheese SAUCE. I couldn't eat it. It was as if they doctored up some Tostitos cheese sauce from the jar. It appeared to make the chips soggy too. Cut corners much? How about a "How were your nachos?" from the waitress? Nope. Despite this, I wanted to order another beer and enjoy the sunny marina. I waited so long that I got up and ordered from the little bar instead of waiting for the waitress. When she brought my beer she didn't bother to ask my wife if she wanted another glass of wine. She just put my beer down and picked up the plate with nasty cheese sauce and soggy tortilla chips. Deja Vu from the other place I reviewed with crappy service. In a week, my father is coming for a visit. The first place he likes to go to is Maggie's. I had to break the news to him that we are going somewhere else. There are so many other options in Seattle to get good food and service. Not wasting my time or money here anymore. Sorry Maggie's. We're out. read more

It's hard to comprehend how much this place pisses me off. I live in Magnolia, and our restaurant selection is limited (the awful Village Pub, an OK Thai place, the Mexican place, Szmanias, Rudy's, the Greek place, a couple of pizza places, and the Teriyaki place round out the options). When we want something less fancy than Szmanias, but fancier than Nikos, we usually grunt and head to Maggie Bluffs. This is the place beneath Palisade's - one of the priciest tables in the city. Owned by the same people - this is where the similarity stops. Some good things: great view of the city and marina. Funky interior. Full bar and reasonable prices for the drinks. Food isn't super expensive and is pretty tasty when it comes. The rest: Service: It's one of those places where we actually comment when the service doesn't suck. Expect to have teenagers who literally gossip within earshot of you as you wait for your drink. Food: They have recently reduced their menu size, which is a bummer. They used to have some good pasta dishes in addition to the burgers and sandwiches - no more. Their house salad uses Sunflower seeds (what decade are we in? the 70's?) which gives it that rancid taste. Half soup/sandwich is gone now, too. JFC. Kids menu: $6 for a bowl of mac and cheese? A little steep. To add insult to injury, they recently changed their kids desert from an ice cream sundae to an icecream bar. What a crock. It unfortunately seems like they are optimizing for low-cost, low-skill workers. They've simplified the menu so anyone can make it, and cut corners without cutting prices. Such a shame - it used to be a fun place to go. I literally have to order a drink when I walk in now else I won't have it for 20 minutes after I've been seated. It's like they've nuked the bartender or something, so your waiter serves as waiter and drink maker. This is just stupid since this is the place where they make all their cash. Improve or die - although they don't have to since they have the marina right there with no other good options. Pisses me off. read more

Not sure what the hell was going on with the weather yesterday in Seattle but it was fuckin' awesome! Just when you think the shit season has begun and it's time to start poppin' the vitamin D for another 8 months, the rain stops, sun pops out and the temps climb to a near-comfortable level. This rare occurrence calls for drastic measures to ditch work, school or whatever and get your ass outside! After hitting a bucket of balls at Interbay, lunch at Maggie's was so on. No doubt about it. The thing about Maggie's is, regardless of how crappy the food can be at times (don't order the BBQ pork sandwich, even if you are tempted by the sweet potato fries!), the beer is good, the service is good, you can't beat the scenery and when the sun's out all sins are forgiven and I know there's a reasonable chance I might not be going to hell afterall. BTW - I discourage bringing kids to Maggie's, purely for selfish reasons, they haven't lived long enough to commit enough sins to warrant stealing a necessary religious experience from me. Outside seating is limited, so you've got to earn it, sorry but life sucks you little groms! read more

I really enjoy this place when I'm in town. My girlfriend and I grew up going here. She lived down the beach, so we'd walk along the water when the tide was out, and head over to Maggie's for lunch. As an adult, I still find this place charming and serving very good food. Of course, dessert comes from Palisade itself, so that's usually the best course. :) If you want the view, but not the prices, this is a very good secondary option to Palisade. read more

Casual, diner-esque atmosphere with a great view of the marina from their large back patio. Being a tourist in Seattle from the very land-locked Denver, I had to order seafood while I could, so I opted for the clam chowder for lunch. It was so-so and didn't wow me; the ratio of potatoes to clams was a little high and so I think the potatoes absorbed too much of the flavor. The french fries, however, and especially the sweet potato fries, were fantastic. read more

After reading another review about the Tiny's Chicken Sandwich I had to give it a shot. It was good, not great but good. The flavors were there but the sandwich was a little messy. The sweet potato fries were excellent! I think this place deserves another review when I get a chance to experience on a sunny day. The attraction of this place is the view, especially when seated outside on a nice day. The food while nothing exceptional is fine casual dining fare. Went here for lunch with my parents when they came in town last spring. Great place for enjoying amazing Seattle spring/summer weather on the patio overlooking the sailboats in the bay. Decent food...not impressive and nothing special, just typical bar food and moderate portions but also not expensive.I love the hot wings at happy hour with the margarita but avoid the nachos that have a cheese sauce, not real cheese and skimpy toppings. Very mediocre at best. The crab/artichoke pen faced sandwich was horrible. A Hinton crab and artichoke and a small slice of tomatoe on a small piece of sourdough bread. Never again, and we've enjoyed this restaurant for years! read more

It's been 3 years since I did my last review of this place, so I figured it was time for an update. I finally ventured back here recently in hopes that it may've improved over the last 3 years but it's somehow gotten worse. I don't know how this place is still open, honestly. It was a nice day and it was steady - but not slammed.. quite a few open tables outside. We were seated and I knew we were going to be in for it the first thing we heard were the people right next to us getting served their food and the waitress asked "is your drink better" and the lady responded, "yes, it's a little better and it taste like maybe they put some alcohol in it this time" the waiter then put their food down and asked if they needed anything else in which the guy then responded, "well.. yeah some silverware or maybe some napkins would be nice?" At this point I'm looking at my BF and saying "I told you think place hasn't changed", but I try to stay positive. It takes a while for someone to come by, she eventually takes our drink orders, and that's when I hear the lady behind us again -- she's pissed now. She's flagged the waitress down and says, "you know what, we waited a REALLY long time for our food and it's cold. Can you just give us our check and take the food back, we don't have time to do this". GREAT. Another table gets seated next to us and is asking the waitress about happy hour drinks --- wait, it's happy hour? No one informed us or gave us that menu. Why is that not advertised? Once we find this out my BF orders a drink off the happy hour menu. He takes a sip and realizes it's def not what he ordered.. waitress apologizes, brings him the right drink and proceeds to serve the drink my BF just took a sip of to the guy a couple tables away. That sucks. We FINALLLLLLY get our fish and chips a mere half an hour later and surprise - not only does it look like something you'd get at a shitty food court on the ferry (honestly, I've seen frozen boxed battered fish that you can cook in your over at home that looks better) but shocker it's barely lukewarm. That lady behind us was right - what the literal F. How does food take that long and come out COLD? To top it off it took the waitress an extra 10+ mins to run our card cause she "dropped all the cards she took" and the next day after checking our bank account found that they charged us twice and we had to dispute it with the bank. To think this whole experience was close to $60 blows my mind. I never wish bad upon businesses, but I hope this place shuts it's doors and that someone who can run a restaurant opens something better in this prime real estate. This place has been riding the struggle bus for years and it's unacceptable at this point. read more

Complete crap. After experiencing this travesty of a restaurant and reading other reviews, I recommend the following: close this place down and open literally anything else. Anything would be better. I don't understand this place. Attached to Seattle's fantastically ritzy Elliott Bay Marina, one would expect dining options catering to those with money, taste and standards. Unfortunately, Maggie Bluffs does not fit the bill. I'm here on a long weekend with my boat. I'm not feeling particularly inclined to venture far for food, so Maggie's entices me as a captive patron. In the future, I will hail an Uber to escape this food desert. First off, quality is subpar. My burger is a prime example.... "Brioche bun," refers to nothing more than a Kaiser roll here. The meat, advertised as high grade Angus beef tastes grainy; cheap. French fries? No, just oily, soft potatoes. No seasoning. No french fried crunch. Worse yet than the food is the service. Before ordering my food, I sat with a coffee ($3.29 cup of folgers) which I was begrudgingly served. Desiring to read the news, I inquired about what paper they receive: the waitress, who likely hasn't a clue about world events, looked at me strangely and suggested that I go somewhere else to find what I'm looking for. I don't think she understood the question. I let that one slide along with the cappuccino priced cup of crappy joe. I arrived early, right before the noon lunch rush. I figured that, seeing as no one else was dining, I'd be privileged with speedy, unfettered assistance from the four or five waitstaff milling around inside. This estimation could not have been more inaccurate. I sat with a menu wondering if they expected me to write a book report before ordering. It was pleasant sitting on the patio, don't get me wrong, but there was no reason why I should continue to wait for waiters who were not waiting on ANYONE ELSE... and then, as if it were an afterthought, a waitress passing by asked if I "want anything." I did chuckle at her occupational naïveté. I ordered a burger, explicitly rare. 20 minutes later--still the lone patron--I receive a WELL DONE, sloppy and sad sandwich that was barely more enjoyable than the waitress' cluelessness. Look Yelpers, I've resisted downloading the app and reviewing eateries for ______ number of years--no establishment has yet to make me miffed enough to do so. But alas, Maggie Bluffs inspired me. Don't dine here. Don't drink here. Don't expect to be pleased if you do. read more

I have to disagree with the other reviews. I think this place is just okay. The food is mediocre. In fact, I find the fish tacos to be cold and bland. Some of the pastas are better. The service is good, and the staff are very polite and customer oriented. Of course, the view is fantastic if you are into marinas and city skylines (I am). My favorite time to eat here is on a hot summer evening midweek. The location makes up for the weakness in food. Parking can be a little difficult if not impossible on Fridays during summer. Most parking spots are reserved for boat owners. However, midweek parking is no problem. read more

THE BEST RESTAURANT IN SEATTLE! This place was awesome. We have five kids and generally walking around Seattle people look at us like we are from another planet. Here are the reasons why this place is awesome: - Location - the location right on the water is amazing and offers an incredibly beautiful view of downtown Seattle, amazing sailboats and the bay. - Price - This didn't cost us a whole lost more than going to a fast food restaurant. - Quality - The food was fantastic and we were all stuffed after going there. - Service - The entire staff was super friendly. Seriously, why does anyone think it is acceptable outside of sports stadiums to use "cheese sauce" on nachos? That $#!& is gross. And I guess adding more than 1.5 grape tomatoes and two slices of avocado to the salad would have been an unreasonable expectation. I can see why you decided to not give me any radishes. That would have driven your food cost through the roof. And then to top it all off, when my 4 year old realized on the car ride home that you forgot to give her the dessert that was supposed come with her meal, that melt down really made the meal feel extra special. read more

Came here for lunch, and the server was abrupt and didn't make me feel welcome. The Crab sandwich that I ordered had an overpowering mayo flavor, so I hardly could taste the crab. I was really looking forward to trying this place, on the advice of a friend who used to work in the area. Unfortunately, the service was so awful we didn't even have a chance to sit down. Upon walking in the door and waiting patiently at the entrance, we were ignored by the entire staff, most notably the manager on duty, who walked by half-a-dozen times without even attempting eye contact. We weren't alone. The group of 3 in front of us had been waiting awhile, and were wondering whether they should just try and sit (there was a clearly visible sign that said please wait to be seated). When they finally got seated, I figured it would be our turn shortly. No dice. The manager proceeded to carry on as if we weren't even there, answering calls, taking out orders, and ringing up bills. They did seem to be missing a server, which is fine. I get that - it happens, and service will ultimately be slower, so no big deal. But not even a simple "Hello", "I'll be with you shortly", or "Sorry for the wait, just a few minutes please"? I don't ask for much, and am generally patient, but when it's obvious you're ignoring customers, it's time to go. I'll probably try it again at some point, and likely upgrade the review, but others (especially the manager) should see this as an issue that needs to be fixed. read more

Maggie Bluffs - Seafood Near Me - Seattle, Washington

We have been going to Maggie's for 11 years. Up until the past year or two, we have enjoyed Maggie's to where we would go usually 1-2 times monthly on the weekends. We enjoyed the ambiance; the relaxed environment and nice view. Occassionally we would have poor service; slow and inconsiderate, but it was very infrequent and typically the food was fine. The restaurant was always packed which made it nice to be a part of. Within the past couple of years clearly things have changed; the food is awful - my daughter and I split nachos last night and ordered prime rib chili on top...we were told later that they didn't have any chili. Really? On a cold winter Saturday evening - no chili? When we left last night (remember, a Saturday night when you would expect the largest crowd of the week) at 7pm, there was one couple in the entire restaurant - very sad. A year or so ago, my wife ordered fish and immediately became ill when we arrived home. Our kids used to get sundaes as part of their meal - no more...a lame ice cream sandwich if you remember to ask for it. We kept hoping that they would get things straightened out and bring back the good 'ole day's - no luck. We won't be coming back read more

My husband and I were out enjoying our boat on Saturday. The plan was to stop mid-day for lunch and drinks at Maggie Bluffs as they were listed on a "dock and dine" website I had researched. We docked our boat in what looked like the restaurant area of the dock. I stayed on the boat while my husband went in to confirm that we had indeed docked in the correct place. He asked the hostess and she was rude to him and said, "how am I supposed to know where you should dock your boat, maybe you should anchor and swim in". She and her fellow co-worker then openly laughed at him and made other rude comments. He came back to the boat, told me what happened and we left. Very disappointed in this establishment. There are not many dock and dine options in the area, sad this one turned out to be so unwelcoming. We had planned to spend a lot of money on a nice lunch and wine. read more
