Lamb Burger
Benjamin W.

After going on this quest of trying to find the absolute best burger in the greater Seattle area my girlfriend and I keep coming back to this place. I think it's the best burger in town. We have tried almost all of the burgers on their menu but I keep coming back to their more plain regular Buckaroo Burger. Think of it as a fancy version of a Big Mac and I love it. The burger sauce is perfect one of the few burgers I will eat without even having to add cheese. I can also highly recommend their lamb burger very well executed and their tator tots are some of the best, crispiest ones I know in town! The staff is always kind and efficient and their drink selection is fantastic also. Think things like draft Kambucha, Draft Root beer, bottled Mexican coke and various beers on tap. They also have gluten free buns available! Give this place a try you will not be disappointed!

Greens, Sauces, Kids, Ice Cream and Sides menu at Giddy Up Burgers in Seattle.

As Kramer on the sitcom "Seinfeld" would often say "Giddy Up!" and I am proud to bring that catchphrase back after trying the burgers, fries, and shakes at Giddy Up Burgers! Located on the corner of Leary Way Northwest and Northwest 46th Street in the Frelard neighborhood in Seattle, Giddy Up Burgers is the brainchild of owner Paul Mendez who wanted to bring a "family-oriented" craft burger spot to the Emerald City and found the perfect location by totally gutting and making over a former convenience store and gas station in a area north of downtown. What brought a group of diners and I to Giddy Up Burgers was the fact that we were sightseeing in that particular area of Seattle and many of us had a hankering for hamburgers for lunch hour. Of course, we got our smartphones out and checked on our Yelp app and looked up what burgers were being served nearby and what would popup on all of our phones but Giddy Up Burgers? With a consensus we decided to go, especially since the menu prices looked reasonable and there seemed to be plenty of parking in the area. Upon walking into Giddy Up Burgers visitors will notice the barn-like structure of the restaurant with plenty of outdoor seating, which faces the street in which they are located. It's fast-casual ordering where you order at the counter and they bring your food to your table. The menu at Giddy Up Burgers is separated into categories including their Signature Burgers, their smaller burgers, extra toppings, Speciality Sandwiches, Greens, Kids, Ice Cream, and Sides. Among the orders in our party included multiple orders of their Onion, Mushroom, Gruyère (OMG) signature burger which was a 1/3 pound patty topped with caramelized onions, sautéed mushrooms, gruyere cheese, lettuce and aioli served on a house bun. Another diner ordered The Big Cheese which was a 1/3 patty topped with bacon, cheddar cheese, lettuce, pickle, tomato, onion and their signature Giddy sauce served on a house bun. Myself, not being too hungry I decided to order their Buckaroo Burger which was a 1/4 pound patty topped with lettuce, tomato, onion, pickle and their signature Giddy sauce. Our group also ordered a regular size of French Fries and two of their milkshakes. Our total bill was $95.10, which was after tax was added and before gratuity and since we had for up to eight people, our amount was relatively reasonable. It wouldn't take too long for our food to be brought out on individual metal serving tray and the signature burgers are so large that they were big enough to be split among two people and my Buckaroo Burger was the perfect amount of food sold at the perfect price of only eight dollars. Combined with a few fries and sips of my milkshake, I was in burger heaven. I am so happy that places like Giddy Up Burgers are thriving within the Seattle dining scene, as the area doesn't necessarily imbue an atmosphere of being a hamburger haven. But with some of the juiciest hamburgers that I have had in quite some time, topped with some of the freshest toppings, I consider Giddy Up Burgers a must-visit when I happen to be traveling through the Emerald City. With a lovely serve yourself soft-serve bar they seem to have it all at Giddy Up Burgers! Here's to their continued success and here's to hoping that an expansion into other neighborhoods is in their plans for the future because more Emerald City denizens should be able to enjoy these tasty burgers for themselves!

Brought my family here for dinner. Option to order at the kiosk or the counter. We chose to order at the kiosk and it was very straightforward. Food came really fast. I love how kid friendly it is and lots of open seating. The ice cream bar was also a fun touch!

I'm currently on the quest to find the best burger in Seattle and whenever I googled for burger joints to try out in the city, Giddy Up Burgers always showed up. So of course I had to check them out! I came in with a friend during a late afternoon and it was pretty empty, only a mom and their two kids were there. Quiet ambiance during that time, but I have a feeling it gets more energetic at night. Looking through the menu, the Lamb Burger really caught my eye so I had to order it! First impressions when the server came to bring the burger I thought "wow this is a pretty looking burger!". First bite was pretty tasty, but nothing impressive. Midway through eating the burger, my tray eventually became engulfed in a pool of juice from the burger and my hands were dripping. As good as the burger is, I wasn't expecting a wet mess. Giddy Up Burgers is pretty good for what it is and a place I would try it out again when I have a chance. If you're in the Frelard area I would recommend yall giddy up on over there!

ate there for dinner and got me a cheeseburger with fries and a chocoate milkshake . Burger was pretty good and milkshake had good consistency but fries in another hands tasted very much like Mc Cain frozen french fries .Very relax ambiance and not too crowded which was amazong and people behind the counter and waiters were very friendly .

Omg Burger and Brussel sprouts absolutely delicious

Brussel sprouts were to die for. Absolutely loved them. The burgers were so juicy and flavorful.

I must say I'm going to start this review off on a positive positive note, but it will end on why I gave it 2 stars. We came here after going to the Woodland Park zoo with 2 groups of friends because it was close and had great ratings. My son had chicken strips and fries, I ordered the giddyup burger and fried cauliflower and then we ended the night with their ice cream bar. Service was quick and friendly and the ambience in this place was fun. I was super hopeful that the food was going to taste great. It is $$ for burgers and sides. Which are all Ala carte fyi. Nothing but the kids meal comes with fries/tots. The food was delivered quickly and tasted great. However, within two hours of eating there everyone who ate my fried cauliflower (3 of us in the group of 10) were really sick. Nausea, vomiting, and followed lastly by diarrhea in a bit. That's how we narrowed down who ate what and who was sick. The only common denominator was the fried cauliflower. I was so sick that the next day, even that one of the girls in my group had to call the restaurant to let them know that somebody had gotten ill from their food. I wasn't offered even an apology let alone a refund. Shame shame.

This place came up when googling dog friendly patios in Ballard and I'm glad we came! A sunny Sunday with warm casual good vibes. The food was all tasty and fresh, the tots are the perfect amount of crunch on the outside! Burgers were tasty, and I liked that there was a lot of hot sauces around to try. It was a little expensive but I was just happy to be warm and inside with my dog. Lots of folks enjoying the Seahawks game, big screens around with out overpowering the space. Best part, easy parking in the lot!

Grilled onion, mushroom, Gruyère burger = drippy yummy goodness
Tracy M.

One of my top criteria for a burger: is it juicy & gooey enough that once I pick it up it's impractical to set it back down? Bingo! My onion mushroom Gruyère burger was a delicious mess. Hubby was very pleased with his Giddy-Up burger w/ bacon, cheese & jalapeño. Got 2 generous sides of fries & shoestring onion rings, both tasty. While we prefer thicker onion rings, these were fine since they tasted like actual onions instead of the inside of a Costco freezer (if ya know what I mean). Loved the warm wood walls & ceilings, large spaces & lotsa south & western-facing windows. Giddy-Up could benefit from sound-absorbing ceiling panels, but the noise level on a packed Weds evening was acceptable. Very kid-friendly place, lots of little ones scampering about tonight. I don't mind kids, just a heads-up if a) you wanna bring your kids or b) free-range kids bug you.

Indoor seating area with tv
Harley M.

Giddy Up Burgers is a fun space to get dinner and drinks with friends. They have lots of indoor and outdoor seating with big tables fitting for groups. Lots of parking available on the street next to the restaurant. Burgers are around $10-12 without sides. Burgers are very juicy and come with tons and tons of yummy toppings. Mine came with a roasted poblano pepper, cheese, pickles, lettuce, and a house made sauce. I got a side of onion rings and they were very crispy and came out piping hot. I'll have to try the cauliflower bites and the fried chicken sandwich next tiem

Once you pick up this sandwich, you can't put it back down. Physics, I think.
Mark T.

This place is awesome and I want to come here again [and again]. We had the Kickin' Fried Chicken sandwich, slaw and chili. Check out the photo. The food tastes great, the service is friendly and fast and the covid protocols are top notch. The tables are huge and some of the seating is on saddles. I appreciate extra touches like that. Nice beers on tap and there were no crowds when we visited. Giddy Up on up to Giddy Up!

From the moment you step inside, the atmosphere captures you: modern décor, intimate lighting, and a warm vibe that feels both upscale and inviting. Everything is immaculately clean and thoughtfully designed, setting the tone for an exceptional dining experience. If you're a bourbon lover, this place is paradise. Their collection is incredible, but what truly sets them apart is the service. The Bourbon Curators, Ms. Hannah and Mr. Tommy, along with our amazing waitress Ms. Sassy, make you feel like a VIP from start to finish. They welcome you with open arms and create a personalized bourbon journey -- teaching you about flavor profiles, history, and how to discover different palettes you never knew you had. It's not just a drink menu... it's an experience. And the food? Michelin-worthy. We shared the Autumn Chicory Salad and the homemade Autumn Mushroom Pasta -- both beautifully crafted, rich in flavor, and perfectly paired with the bourbon experience. Every bite showed off the kitchen's talent and passion. We were actually recommended this restaurant by strangers we met at the Seattle Space Needle -- and wow, did they steer us right. Finally, we tried to order dessert and were told they were out of the item we all wanted. This place is a ripoff with terrible service.

This dining room, beloved for both its wall of menus and its shining penny floor, is a favorite place to break bread with loved ones, and plays into the restaurant's blend of nostalgic and contemporary design. The restaurant was designed in collaboration with Sean Sifagaloa of KRFTWRK and local builder Mike Marian, owner of Marian Built. What I ordered: Wishing to sample a little of everything, we were served, family style, two orders of Bread ($9 each) - buttered with salt and pepper; Fritto Misto ($12) - assorted, lightly fried and pickled vegetables with tarragon aioli; Smashed Burrata ($19) - snap peas, preserved lemon, mint, basil, sherry reduction; Carrot & Tahini Dip ($16) - caramelized garlic, feta, pistachio, crudite; two orders of Heirloom Tomatoes ($21 each) - melon, chevre, crispy quino, soft herbs; Crispy Potatoes ($16) - whipped feta, hot honey, mint; Mushroom Agnolotti ($34) - roasted maitakes, chanterelles, whipped ricotta, miso butter, thyme; Roast Chicken ($42) - chickpea, berbere yogurt, marinated cucumber, mint gremolata. To finish off our meals, we shared the Olive Oil Cake ($14) - basil yogurt cremeux, strawberry gel, and the Chocolate Tiramisu ($16) - mascarpone, rum, amaretto, candied hazelnuts. What I loved: Oh man, every dish was delightful. I found something to savor and repeat in each of the dishes we were served. From the sweetness of the heirloom tomatoes, to the creamy burrata, from the crispy potatoes, to the fresh peas and everything in between. Our least favorite, at the table was the mushroom Angnolotti, inconsistent from bite to bite. The presentation of the Carrot & Tahini dip was a bit haphazard compared to the rest of the dishes served, but the flavor was still lovely. Why I loved it: The service was unparalleled, comfortable yet professional and quick to offer recommendations for our larger party. The decorations and quaint spaces truly welcoming, and the food, excellent. Cost: High ($40+ per person)

I had their breakfast sandwich and it was tasty and of the right size. Their bread pudding was tasty though it was more of a French toast in a sweet gravy vs a gooey pudding. Interesting twist and it worked. Overall a great place. The service was exceptional and 2 people that took care of us were outstanding. I've been adopting a lower tip approach in Seattle owing the increase in minimum wage, and would like us to get to a European low tip or tip optional situation. I came in super curious about this scallop dish they had. Now I've had scallops every which way possible. Scallops are so yummy they are next to impossible to ruin. But this dish called "oven fired bay scallops" changed my mind. It's basically scallops baked in cheese sauce. I took one bite of this thing and spit it out. I never thought I would hate a scallop dish but this is it. This is an absolute hot mess of a dish that should be taken off the menu and never be made again. The baking basically overcooked the scallops to the point that they are like rubber balls. On top of that all that cheese overpowered the subtle taste of the scallops to such a degree that I couldn't even taste the scallops. Then I tried their prawn appetizer. the chef made this one spicy. There was so much spice on it I could barely taste the prawn. I had to scoop it off the prawn before I could eat it. Those prawn were actually tasty and fresh and perfectly cooked. It really needed nothing more than some lemon juice. Then I had their rigatoni which was ok but the sausage that was in it was also a little spicy. What is this chef's obsession with spice? another thing I noticed was I was trying to find something light but they don't really have anything light. all of their pasta has a traditional tomato sauce or a cream sauce. All their salads are bit and full of cheese. Their pizzas are sizeable and full of toppings. This menu seriously needs to be redone. add a few light dishes and ditch some of the heavy ones. Overall food is decent enough for 4 stars but I am deducting a star for those two terrible appetizers. This is clearly the result of a young chef trying too hard. This chef needs to learn that sometimes less is more.

I ordered their signature dish: the crow lasagne. I am picky about lasagne and appreciate all combinations. This one did not quite hit the mark. The marinara sauce was bright and flavorful, but barely lukewarm. It was hard to tell whether this was deliberate. The lasagne itself was good, but the consistency was odd. It was almost as if the noodles were made of gnocchi (potato) dough. The ricotta and sausage had a nice flavor. I had debated whether to order the chanterelle pasta. One of my dining partners did, and after seeing it, I was glad I did not. The pasta looked as if it was cooked properly with a variety of mushrooms;, but I did not see any chanterelles. I would have been disappointed. The salmon filet and grilled vegetables were presented nicely. The clams in miso broth were an unusual presentation; the stark white shells and plate contrasted sharply with the brown broth. The broth was tasty though. The desserts were also a mixed bag. The ganache on the German chocolate cake was rich and delicious. The pumpkin basque cheesecake did not have the consistency of a typical basque cake, but had a good flavor. The sweet cream mousse topping on both desserts was a perfect accompaniment. A solid restaurant and definitely worth stopping in.
