The drag brunch here is world famous, and rightly so. They really put on a show and they have it down to a (sexy! outrageous!) science. The level of production reminded me of top-notch drag shows in NYC. And you can see it right here in Seattle. It's joyous. It's hilarious. It's glam. It's an EVENT. (Bring cash to tip!) Also, the food is really good and not overpriced, which really is rare. Treat yourself!

Dreamland is a dreamy and happenin' place in Fremont that features a large bar, plenty of seating a stage to welcome live music and a bit of space to stand and get your dance on. Of course, they serve food here and the menu has a selection of eye-catching entrees. Came here with my friend for his belated Birthday and he picked it out as we both were looking to try something new. We started off with the 'Mystery Unicorn cocktail', what is it? It's a mystery! It was sweet and strong, like a fruit punch, tequila concoction I'd make. They came in these title creature cups. After sipping on these we got to business. To start we split the Queso Mac & Cheese - Cavatappi pasta, velvety queso, a kick of Jalapeño and a sprinkle of crispy Panko. We added Short rib on top because you gotta. (Not really, at $6 extra, but it was good). This might've been the best thing we got though, the cheese was so melty with a little kick. I recommend as a shareable for 2 -3. Add Braised Short Rib got the 'Big Daddy Cluck' chicken sandwich - Brioche roll, fried chicken, bacon, jalapeño slaw, pimento cheese, for a side I kept it simple with Fries. The sandwich was good. Just the right amount of crunch, spice from the jalapeno flavor and tendernous. My friend got the shrimp & grits which cited as being flavorful as well. Everything was solid, but high. I've had many chicken sandwiches in my time, but this Daddy can't match them. Seattle Biscuit co. has one that blows it away for about the same price. The foods good, atmosphere and service check out but just didn't send me soaring for similar fare I've had. Still though I'd recommend but just watch out a couple drinks and an app and entree can fairly easily get you close to 3 - $$$'s quickly. I'd love to try happy hour here.

My colleagues come here quite a lot and finally dragged me here. It was better than I thought. Got here around 630pm on a Thursday. It started with 5 of us and then it ballooned to 15 people. We sat in the back which has one long table that fit 10 easily and the others stood or we rotated. I had the chicken and waffles but wished I order the big cluck sandwich because it was phenomenal looking and fit the huge appetite that I had going in. The waffle was a bit dry. And the chicken could have used more seasoning. I should have asked for more syrup or maybe hot sauce. I ordered the passionfruit old fashioned which was simply okay. A little bit to juice like for my tastebuds. It was the only drink in the menu that looked interesting. I stuck with beer the rest of the time to avoid disappointment. I had all local beers including a lager which was refreshing. Atmosphere and ambiance was legit though. It was a lot of lights and just gave a nice overall feeling. The waitress we had was on it. She had the bill sorted. She didn't freak out when there was a bunch of us. She was attentive and flying around. She alone made this experience enjoyable.

Great spot for brunch during my trip to Seattle! Fun vibes and delicious food! Would definitely recommend.

Happy hour is the place to be! Burger for $12 buckeroons? Honking plate of nachos? Crunchy wrap? The deals are great, and they have a great covered patio. Honestly a banging burger, not the hugest fan of the crunchy wrap, and the nachos do do the job. The covered patio offers natural light, heaters when cold, and is doggo friendly if that's your vibe. Every server I've had there has been super chatty, funny, and kind. I would 100% come from some solid food and good time. I always bike past when they're hosting drag brunch on weekends, and it sounds like a freakin' hoot. Will have to come back for then.

This is a fun spot to have lunch in Fremont. Staff are welcoming and the food is delicious. MB2 and I shared the mushroom scramble with hashbrowns and side salad, and the mortadella sandwich with a side of mac salad. The hashbrowns were nice and crispy and the mac salad was flavorful! We learned they make their own pastries onsite and are coming out with a new pastry item. I hope to come back on the weekend for their drag brunch.

One of those places you just gotta check out for yourself. If your in a lively mood. There seems to be a party room connected. I didn't ask, but from the looks and sounds of it, a holiday day/dance party. Either way just be ready for the high energy. The service is nice and does it's best to keep up with the demand. It didn't take as long to get our food as it did to wrap things up. Either way they for sure we're hard at work. Also I was impressed by how fast our food was ready. I dug the interior design as it matched the fun and loud vibes. Don't expect anything fancy. I wouldnt come here for a first date or anything but maybe a birthday or a date with someone your fairly familiar with. Let's not forget about the food. I'll be honest, wasnt 5 star or anything, maybe not even 4 stat, but was more than passable for the occasion. Luckily I came during happy hour so I was able to save a few bucks because half the food I was planning on ordering jist so happened to be discounted for happy hour. Overall i would recommned this place to others. I also plan on coming back. Won't be rushing to come back, but I still look forward to my next visit. I mostly want to give a few of their other food options despite half the food I did order being somewhat bland in flavor. Specifically the mac and cheese and the birria dip that came with the crunch wrap. The birria dip didnt exactly taste bad, but idk if I'd call it biriani. Lol.

From the moment I walked in I felt so welcome. The whole team greeted me like they knew me and it made me feel so comfortable. The food and drinks were delicious. Sarah (not sure how they spell their name) was a ray of light. I will definitely be back my next visit in Seattle. What a lovely place. Also, the fries are wild. ORDER THE FRIES.

I was barely acknowledged. Cold. I work in customer service and for the prices yall can do better. It was slow and it's Monday. Yall could've made an extra $50 out of me but I wasn't acknowledged... Won't be back. But it looks cool inside that's about it. The margarita is good. The shot was not worth it at all. But yeah. Do better!

Friendly and engaging host and servers, including others not working our table, stopped by to admire our toddler son, who was enjoying all the lights and colors. My wife's delicious Monte Cristo (with frosted flake crust) was a welcome take on the classic, and somehow, thankfully, not overly sweet. Meanwhile, I had the Crunch Wrap Supreme, which looks almost exactly like the Taco Bell version, but with actual fresh ingredients, and no sawdust to be found! One of the best brunch items I've had in recent memory! There was a rowdy drag show brunch just outside in the covered courtyard, and the performers passed by our table as they made their way there, so we got a little preview of the action. Seems like everyone in there was having a blast! Oh, and Dreamland is dog-friendly, inside and out, so that's a plus as well. In short, our brunch at Dreamland was anything but a drag!

Came here for weekend brunch at 1030am and was able to snag a table for 4 with no reservations. They allow dogs inside the restaurant which is super cool. We got the French toast and birria burrito which were both tasty although I liked the French toast better. All the staff were sweet and fawned over our dogs. Our dog even got a free biscuit treat. Definitely want to come back for drag brunch!

I researched this place for chicken and waffles. I had an appointment nearby early in the morning. It was a great spot with lots of seating and a nice environment. I did get the chicken and waffles and my partner got pancakes with sausage and scrambled eggs . Both dishes were generous in proportion. I must say that I've never had such juicy fried chicken in my life and I've only had chicken waffles combo a couple times. The pepper jam was sweet with a slight heat behind and dipped in syrup was delightful. We had lots to take home and next time we are in the area fish and chips look awesome to try. Thanks Annie for your great service and attentiveness!

Had a great time at Dreamland! Stopped over for brunch around 11:15 on a Sunday and were seated right away without a reservation (4 of us). All the employees were great and the Halloween decor was amazing! You can tell they don't spare any expense when it comes to decorating for the season. We got a biscuit to share and it was incredible! Soft and fluffy on the inside, with a nice crunch on the outside. The butter and jam made it a perfect sweet treat before our entrees. I got the eggs Benedict and, even though I came hungry, there was still quite a bit left over! They certainly don't skimp on the portions! Hashbrowns were crispy, delicious, and not oily. Salad was simple and fresh. Overall we had a great time and everyone was happy with their food. Can't wait to go back to Dreamland!

Is it better to sit inside or on the patio in the wintertime? Are there outdoor heaters?

Heaters, yes. Better? Depends on your tolerance.

Are ticket reservations refundable? Every time I plan something with friends, tickets sell out by the time I manage to get headcount

Is this place ok for kids in the evening?

I wouldn't recommend it- it's more of a bar atmosphere.

    Do you take reservations?

According to the website, they are not taking reservations right now due to Covid so it's first come first serve.

Can people under 21 come in for food?

Absolutely. It's a diner so kids of all ages are welcome

The place is decorated in a fairly elegant and old school manner, so you are somewhat transported away from the outside reality. We got the Tobe's Thique Mint and Garden Party. I loved the creaminess and cinnamon afternotes of Tobe's Thique Mint, and it also looks somewhat pretty. It is quite a heavy drink, so one was enough to fill me up. The Garden Party was a bit of a miss since as much as I tasted the orange and grapefruit, it was a very light drink and tasted a little watered down. The biggest plus is that the drinks are fairly affordable compared to the greater Seattle area, priced at $14. I liked how their menu says 14 for $14, as they have just 14 cocktails to choose from and the drinks seem to rotate seasonally. For us, we went just in time to still have the spring menu, but they will change to the summer menu on June 20.

We ordered munchies and drinks while we waited for our table at Delancey. The bartender / server knew we would be headed to Delancey in 40 minutes or so, and handled things well accordingly. We got a plate of olives (tasty, great finger food) and drinks. The Yonder cider was good, not too sweet. The Martini was tasty. I had two quibbles: The first was with the pricing: the martini was charged as two separate items: 1) gin (I suppose the charge varies by the kind of gin or vodka in your martini) 2) martini (which is apparently the non-vodka or or non-gin part of your drink) While I'm sure this makes it easier to track for the bartender and inventory, as well as for charging, as a customer, it's a little odd to have a mixed drink be a two-part charge. The second was the included 20% automatic gratuity. I don't object to the concept of a standard service charge, I just wish it had been more prominently displayed so that I wouldn't have added a 20% tip on top of that (and my tip was on the amount that included tax, service charge and drinks / food). So, buyer beware ... the service is good, the ambiance is nice, the food and drinks are good -- but the payment / billing is non-standard, and can cause unexpected surprises.

Our server said they "ran out". How does that happen? I stalked a departing table to take their rechargeable lamp. Anyway, my expectations were likely too high going in, and I was annoyed before even ordering, turning on our cellphone light to read the menu. The food is pretty good, though not mind-blowing good like the reviews suggest, and we had one bad dish. They offer varied Khmer dishes beyond noodle varieties, which is a plus. The menu doesn't say so; the server didn't mention it. Luckily, by this time of the meal, we have acquired the little table lamp, which enabled me to see the long fish bones that had not been removed. FIVE of them. The noodles are a pathetic overcooked limp pile. The best part is the turmeric sauce. Do not order this dish. Epilogue: I happened to walk by Sophon this past weekend. I was surprised to see a sign saying they are temporarily closed to resolve internal issues. (See photo) That is never a good reflection of management. There is now a GoFundMe for the unpaid staff who had to quit their jobs.

My boyfriend and I had a great time reading our books and taking cute aesthetic pictures for our Instagrams. The only thing that kind of threw me off is that fifteen minutes before we were about to leave, a couple on a first date was seated adjacent to us and were talking super loudly. But I was still able to lock in and finish my book and I had a great time, my boyfriend and I definitely want to come back for more reading dates.

The inside is so well decorated and it's like a library x bar. There were a lot of people just hanging out - reading, crocheting, etc and it was a very pleasant vibe. We both got drinks and a couple of flatbreads to share. I got Daisy's Downfall, which was the perfect cocktail imo and just the right strength. We shared the asian pear & proscuitto flatbread as well as the cauliflower curry one, both of which were really yummy! I loved the soft crust and crispy edges a lot. Service was super attentive as well. Overall, a great place to hang!

The service was amazing, our server walked us through the dishes and helped us choose. The chicken came out looking a little unseasoned but it was the table favorite because it had the most flavor out of everything else. Looks can be deceiving lol. That potato's are amazing and a good side dish! They have a little patio as well with heating!

Type of cuisine: "We never tire of talking to our guests about how we got our quirky name. Inspired by two British drinking terms, Brimmer & Heeltap seeks to celebrate the moments that exist between the first sip of one's libation and the last drops lingering at the bottom of the glass. Since late 2013 we've delighted in creating an environment that is inviting, lively, and comforting. A sense of playfulness is present in everything we do, from the inventive dishes our culinary team prepares, to the friendly, genuine hospitality we provide. We're a bistro that takes pride in being a neighborhood place - the kind you can escape to at day's end for a delicious meal shared among friends." Ambiance: "Located in the former Le Gourmand space in beautiful Ballard, Brimmer & Heeltap offers an intimate, cozy atmosphere complete with an open kitchen, full bar, and multiple sections to drink and dine in. Our garden patio is one of the best-kept secrets in the city, offering a dreamy place to dine outdoors during Seattle's spring and summer months. We also have a tucked-away back studio that offers the perfect setting for special, private gatherings year-round. Just how many pennies does it take to cover a floor? Just ask Brimmer & Heeltap's proprietress Jen who collected tens of thousands of them from family, friends, and the community to help execute the vision of a cool gathering placed dubbed, naturally, the "Penny Room." This dining room, beloved for both its wall of menus and its shining penny floor, is a favorite place to break bread with loved ones, and plays into the restaurant's blend of nostalgic and contemporary design. The restaurant was designed in collaboration with Sean Sifagaloa of KRFTWRK and local builder Mike Marian, owner of Marian Built. Light, texture, metal, wood, and floral elements are all at play here. This historic building possesses a playful, familiar charm that we wanted to preserve in its latest incarnation." What I ordered: Wishing to sample a little of everything, we were served, family style, two orders of Bread ($9 each) - buttered with salt and pepper; Fritto Misto ($12) - assorted, lightly fried and pickled vegetables with tarragon aioli; Smashed Burrata ($19) - snap peas, preserved lemon, mint, basil, sherry reduction; Carrot & Tahini Dip ($16) - caramelized garlic, feta, pistachio, crudite; two orders of Heirloom Tomatoes ($21 each) - melon, chevre, crispy quino, soft herbs; Crispy Potatoes ($16) - whipped feta, hot honey, mint; Mushroom Agnolotti ($34) - roasted maitakes, chanterelles, whipped ricotta, miso butter, thyme; Roast Chicken ($42) - chickpea, berbere yogurt, marinated cucumber, mint gremolata. To finish off our meals, we shared the Olive Oil Cake ($14) - basil yogurt cremeux, strawberry gel, and the Chocolate Tiramisu ($16) - mascarpone, rum, amaretto, candied hazelnuts. What I loved: Oh man, every dish was delightful. I found something to savor and repeat in each of the dishes we were served. From the sweetness of the heirloom tomatoes, to the creamy burrata, from the crispy potatoes, to the fresh peas and everything in between. Our least favorite, at the table was the mushroom Angnolotti, inconsistent from bite to bite. The presentation of the Carrot & Tahini dip was a bit haphazard compared to the rest of the dishes served, but the flavor was still lovely. Why I loved it: The service was unparalleled, comfortable yet professional and quick to offer recommendations for our larger party. The decorations and quaint spaces truly welcoming, and the food, excellent. Cost: High ($40+ per person)
