Chicken caesar wrap
Monica M.

I'm assuming this is fairly new-ly opened, since I've never heard of this bar in Ballard (in the old Ballard Pizza spot). We stopped in to visit our friend gigging from out of town and if it wasn't for the friend group I don't think we would have stayed very long. The upstairs area is cramped but there's a tiny stage with mirrors for "go-go dancers" and a second bar. We ordered the Hugo cocktail (St.germaine, prosecco, soda, mint, and lemon $13), Chicken Caesar wrap ($16), and Roaman Fries (website says $10 but I remember being charged $12 idk). Hugo cocktail was very watery, almost flat and tasted like lemon slice water. Would not get it again. Roaman Fries... I get the idea but the execution is really poor. Whole roasted cloves thrown on top with whole fried rosemary leaves for bar food is a no. The cloves get stuck in your teeth, as well as the large rosemary leaves are hard to keep on the fries and you're left struggling to eat it while not getting everything stuck in your teeth. It would be so much better if this was all chopped into a nice rosemary aioli dip instead of the strange brown aioli served in a much-too-large ramekin. (Either use a smaller aioli container or increase the portion size) The chicken caesar wrap was ok. Tortilla was cold/not pliable so it fell apart within a few bites, Ordered a vodka soda and it came in a highball glassed chock full of ice. If we go back again I will stick to bevvies that come in cans or bottles. I like the theme of this bar but there's a lot of room for improvement. The bartender was killing it, handling the large crowds chaotically trying to order drinks. So kudos to him!

This place is cool and one of the few local spots that plays house music, which we love!

These are the best cheese curds ever bc the batter isn't heavy like other cheese curds I've had. It's tempura battered so it's light and you can taste the cheese more. The jalapeño strawberry dip and ranch are good dips, but try them together and it will blow your mind. The fried green beans were okay. They did have a heavier batter on them and I wish they had the same batter the cheese curds had. The spicy dip was good! The rosemary popcorn was delicious! It had just enough butter and the perfect amount of rosemary where it's not overpowering. Once you get to the bottom, there's tons of butter and you just dip and soak it up with the popcorn. Also, PATTI was AMAZING!!!! She checked in on us throughout the evening. She's very sweet and I will be back bc of Patti!

I visited on Super Bowl Sunday, about 2-3hrs before the game to get seats. This was a good idea because there was only a handful of seats available. We were lucky enough to get a table for 4 of us. The hosts were very welcoming and go us seated at the bar when it was only two of us. When we informed them about an hour prior to kick off that we needed two more seats, they did their best to get us seated. It was very kind of them to even look around, let alone actually find us space. This was very much appreciated. The first hour or so, when there was only two of us, we had a few beers, the cheese curds and the chicken fried steak with potatoes. The beers were exactly what you think they would taste like and they weren't terribly expensive which was nice. The cheese curds were a great shareable item, good flavor and a fair amount of them. The chicken fried steak was good, nothing crazy, but not below average. Portion was good sand it was cooked right to have that nice crips on the outside with the gravy poured over top. I think the only thing I wasn't that big of a fan of was the potatoes, I should've opted for the tots or hash potatoes instead, but I'll have to try it again. Yes, I would recommend this place. Seems like a good place to meet with friends for a game and meet friends. I almost forgot to mention they have an outside area in the back was is covered so there's more than enough space to maneuver and enjoy your time.

I made a reservation ahead of time, but when we got there around 8 pm we realized we probably didn't need one because it was seat yourself and still pretty open. No complaints though, it made it easy to grab a table and settle in. The vibe was cool. Definitely a sports bar feel with TVs around, and as the night went on the DJ started getting set up which I can imagine makes it a fun spot on a Friday night for people meeting up after work or hanging out with friends. We decided to share a few things so we could try a little bit of everything. We ordered the catfish bites, lemon pepper wings, garlic parmesan wings, and macaroni and cheese. I'll start with the positives because the service was great. Everyone we interacted with was friendly and helpful, which always makes a difference. Food-wise, it just didn't totally hit for me. The catfish bites had a really tasty batter, but the texture threw me off a little. I personally like my catfish cooked a little harder, and these were a bit soft for my liking. The lemon pepper wings were a little too salty for me, and the wings themselves weren't cooked quite the way I like them. I tend to like my wings cooked a little harder, so these felt a bit soft and bulky to me (if that makes sense). The garlic parmesan wings were okay flavor-wise, but still similar in texture. The macaroni and cheese was okay. Nothing bad, just pretty standard. The menu itself has a good mix of comfort food and bar favorites like chicken and waffles, shrimp & grits, burger & fries....so there are definitely options to try. Overall, the service were great, the vibe was cool and I can definitely see this being a fun spot once the DJ gets going and the place fills up. The food just didn't quite land for me personally this time. I gave it 3 stars, but if Yelp allowed half stars it would probably be closer to a 3.5 for me. I'd still be open to coming back and trying a few other things on the menu.
