Tobe's Thique Mint, Garden Party - IG @bougiefoodieboi

This is a fairly small, hole in the wall, neighborhood bar with speakeasy vibes, though it is fairly easy to locate the bar since the name of the bar is painted in a large wall. We walked in as a party of 2 on a Thursday around 9pm and it was not too busy - probably half the bar was occupied. We opted to sit at one end of the bar because the bar seats are where the vibes are at. The place is decorated in a fairly elegant and old school manner, so you are somewhat transported away from the outside reality. We got the Tobe's Thique Mint and Garden Party. I loved the creaminess and cinnamon afternotes of Tobe's Thique Mint, and it also looks somewhat pretty. It is quite a heavy drink, so one was enough to fill me up. The Garden Party was a bit of a miss since as much as I tasted the orange and grapefruit, it was a very light drink and tasted a little watered down. The biggest plus is that the drinks are fairly affordable compared to the greater Seattle area, priced at $14. I liked how their menu says 14 for $14, as they have just 14 cocktails to choose from and the drinks seem to rotate seasonally. For us, we went just in time to still have the spring menu, but they will change to the summer menu on June 20.

This place is so cute and quaint! It's small but a great vibe and the staff were wonderful and friendly. I've lived in Greenwood for 13 years and never stumbled across this place until recently. It's a hidden gem. Decent drinks but don't except to take a gang of people with you. Perfect for a couple! I'll be back for sure!

The ambiance was cozy. We loved the lighting fixtures that seemed like turn of the century pieces. It definitely serves speak easy vibes. We would've stayed longer but the drinks were lackluster. The bartender had to pull up a recipe for everything he was making. Maybe with more seasoned and experiences mixologist this spot would be more enjoyable.

Very cool bar near Greenwood with delicious drinks. The bartenders are absolutely amazing and keep the vibes up in the already neat atmosphere. They went above and beyond to make each drink special. Comfy seats, clean bathroom, and various snack options. It is a small venue so better for groups of 4 or less.

Best teeny-tiny bar in Seattle! Super drinks, decor and customer service. I always have a good time at Ruby's.

We arrived right at the opening time and there was a line, but it moved pretty quickly and we got our food in about 30 min. As for the food quality, these were some of the best steaks I've had in Seattle at this price point. $15 for 4 oz steak frites is a great deal, and they really load you up on the fries so you get full even with just a 4 oz steak. The steak is cooked perfectly edge to edge pink since it's sous vide. They get a nice sear on the outside so you still develop a good crust and deep flavor. It's super tender and I love the fat cap adding a beefier richness. The best sauce by far was the Sichuan Au Poivre. It was creamy, rich, and had a light citrusy peppercorn flavor. The highlight was this sauce with the fries. The sauce soaking into the beefy tallowy frites was amazing. My only complaint is I wish it had a stronger peppercorn flavor. I also liked the duck breast with the au Poivre sauce (maybe even more than the steak).

We came right when they open and was 14th in line. The guy took our orders and then we find a seat and wait for our food to come out. It still took about 10-15 minutes before food came out so it can be a wait for those that were still in line. The place filled up fast and it was busy and lively. I was actually very excited to try the duck, but they said there was no duck available at that time so I was already disappointed, even though it was on their updated menu.... We decided just to order the 8oz steak frites with chimichurri sauce. Presentation was good, but food was mediocre at best. The steak was chewy and tough, it was bland. The fries were fine, but nothing extraordinary. The sauce didn't do anything. My husband, usually doesn't like sauces had to use ketchup and mayo to "season" the dish... We ended up didn't finish and pack the rest for home and went down the block to get something else to eat. Maybe I came on an off day but it was not worth the 35 min drive.

On Fri-Sun from 7-9 is open mic comedy; karaoke from 9-1am. Come on a Thursday for live music. Parking sucked. We were two blocks away before we found a spot. So happens we caught the comedy show and there are some very funny up and comers in Seattle. Fair warning: it gets a bit raunchy and personal. However, the regulars seem to really dig this. We did get our chance to sing and it was a bit wild, in a good way. Great singers/horrible singers, most importantly, a supportive crowd. Pro Tip: Show up early and get your request for karaoke in. It started getting busy about an hour in, then you're looking at a long wait. The drinks are well made and not too expensive. The food is surprisingly good. A friendly bartender also helped make for a fun night!

A bar that plays metal but won't let us karaoke a barely metal song.

Definitely not my fave martini in the city but could not beat this price and it was enjoyable still. - Mezcal drink (I think it was the Sea Senora) $18, I had this and loved it. I'm a fan of mezcal and this was no exception. Great flavors. - Lamb Crepinette $17 on HH, we all enjoyed this! Not too "lamb-y" if that makes sense. - Point Judith Squid Salad - $14 on HH, I really enjoyed this salad as it reminded me of Spain/Portugal, which I'm a huge fan of. The squid was really tender and went well with the beans and olives. Super cute vibes inside and everything is really aesthetic but also great flavor/execution. I already want to go back to try more.
