We stopped by Elliott Bay Marina to look into getting a slip for when we bring our @pacificpearlyacht north, and after chatting with the harbormaster (Brice--super nice and helpful), we decided to grab a quick bite next door at Maggie's Bluff before heading back on the road. The restaurant was clean, quiet, and inviting--perfect for a relaxed stop. Since it was a cold day, we both ordered the clam chowder, and it could not have been a better choice. It was warm, comforting, and honestly one of the most memorable clam chowders I've ever had. What made it stand out was how many clams were actually in it. This wasn't a thin, milky soup with a few clams floating around--it was thick, hearty, and loaded with clams. The color was more natural and gray rather than bright white, and the flavor was outstanding. Our waitress was very sweet and kept recommending the crème brûlée, which sounded tempting, but we decided to pass this time. Still, the food, service, and location earned an easy five stars. If you're at Elliott Bay Marina, Maggie's Bluff is a must-stop.

After a long decision of picking where to eat, we decided to come here. This was our criteria: - A restaurant with a view - Outside seating - Fish and chips - Easy and free parking Maggie Bluff checked all those boxes for us. No reservation was needed, and we were seated right away. We reviewed the menu and picked out a couple of items to share: Maggie's Classic Burger ($15.70) and Fish & Chips ($19.20, three pieces). Placing the order was a bit difficult since it took a while before the waitress arrived. I saw another couple sit down and then leave after not receiving much service. They might have been short-staffed, even though it wasn't terribly busy and not all the tables were full. We didn't leave because we were hungry. Haha. We enjoyed the view while we waited for our food to arrive. The sun was shining, and the view was stunning. However, after a while, it does get a bit chilly, so bring a jacket! We were so excited when our food arrived because we selected tater tots (my fave) and sweet potato fries! We shared everything and I thought everything was delicious. The fish had just enough batter to coat the fish, and I can still taste the fish. Yay! The burger was a little plain, could probably use a couple of pieces of bacon. But as the name suggests "classic burger" - I should not be expecting anything more from it. I would say decent portion size and pricing. We could use a little more service for a water refill, which would probably be our only complain. However, not bad, Maggie Bluffs, not bad. Cash or card accepted. Plenty of parking in front of the main restaurant, Palisade. Outdoor seating is great for people-watching on a warm, sunny day.

Had an amazing meal with a view at Maggie Bluffs! The service was amazing, the food was the best ever with fresh ingredients and great portions! We had been there years before and it wasn't so good, so glad to give it another try because it was so delicious!

Blackened coho salmon tacos

Maggie Bluffs is right below Palisades so it shares the same spectacular view albeit on the ground level, which is best enjoyed outside on the patio when the weather is nice. The menu is somewhat limited basics like burgers, fish and chips and tacos, Tried the burger and blackened salmon tacos (nice alternative to fried), which were both decent. Prices are very reasonable and the service was solid. Overall, it's a nice stop with a view, and while the food won't be revolutionary, you won't have a bad meal or pay an arm and a leg.

HOT CRAB AND ARTICHOKE DIP

Cindy the server makes the dining experience a real treat. After one visit and a month later she remembered what I had to eat and my name from previous visit she's a true server pro. My hot crab and artichoke dip and toasted bread (crustini's) have been the one main item I get and it's enough for even the hardiest of eaters like me not to mention it's really a two person meal. Come Sundays at 11:30am for the restaurant opening and you get waterside seats and a great place to watch the games on the many tv sets. Cindy makes coming here a real treat.

One person working front of house doing it all - seating, waiting, busing, bartending. One more person back of house cheffing it up. A 2-person shop! And only two parties in the restaurant when we were here. What has happened to Maggie Bluffs? Perhaps read on... From the menu - which seems much smaller than it used to be ? - We had some clam chowder, the chicken wings, some street tacos and a salmon caesar. Chowder was clam-filled but somewhat pricey - 8.70 for a small cup. The street tacos were a highlight, though the accompanying salsa seemed like it was from a jar. The Caesar salad was somewhat pedestrian though the salmon was excellent quality. The wings were $16.70 - see photo. This too seems pricey... Maybe I don't get out enough and haven't noticed prices have skyrocketed. At least there weren't any tricks like "5% for managers kickback" or whatever. Plus no "3% for credit card". Thus, Maggie Bluffs is still on our rotation of places to go. Just add more menu choices, OK Maggie?

Magnolia yacht club and Maggie Bluffs

Maggie bluffs offers a good selection of pub style burger and seafood with a great view of magnolia yacht club and downtown Seattle and the incoming cruise ships. The service is quick and accommodating, we enjoyed a couple of burgers and fish & chips - the establishment is casual with indoor or outdoor seating and service. I love the strawberry lemonade (adult beverage) & the views. Good for family and friends, relaxing dining or a sunset drink by the

Country Fried Calamari

Came on a Wednesday afternoon for lunch and were told we could sit anywhere because they weren't very busy. Service was good and food came out quick. My friend said the food was pretty good but I have to disagree considering our 2 piece Fish and Chips, Prime Rib Dip, and Calamari came out to about $70 after tips. Although I do understand the fact that the restaurant is right on the marina. Nothing much to write about but seems to be a solid spot for locals or families who want to dine with a nice view but don't want to spend a lot of money in Palisade, right upstairs. Food barely had any seasoning, but I do have to say that the sweet potato fries were delicious! Would I personally come back? No. But it's not terrible, and maybe my pallet isn't their target.

Great food, amazing service, Kathleen was the sweetest and most helpful. Perfect location, especially if you wanna walk the Elliott Bay Trail a nice stop for a break.

The restaurant offers sweeping views of downtown Seattle, Elliott Bay, West Seattle, and, on clear days, Mount Rainier. A stones toss from the Marina, you'll find Pier 91 which serves as home port for Carnival Cruise Line, Celebrity Cruises, Cunard, Holland America Line, MSC Cruises, Princess Cruises, Royal Caribbean and Virgin Voyages. Palisades is spacious, with a bar and lounge area, a visible kitchen, and an active indoor pond and high-end coastal decor. The restaurant also offers outdoor seating and a private dining room for events. A ramp provides accessible access to the restaurants main entrance. But, they really need to work on upgrading their health rating from good to excellent (a rating they've maintained in the past)! My wife and I have visited this restaurant on several occasions; however, this is the second review that I've done since participating with Yelp. This time around we are having drinks in the bar/lounge while waiting for another couple to arrive before dining in the main room. To past the time we ordered a couple Ahi Nachos appetizers and glasses of Sauvignon Blanc and smoked Old Fashion. Our dining partners arrived and we were seated in the main dining space with a nice view of Elliott Bay though it was overcast late afternoon. Our server Brian was great; attentive, welcoming and offering great suggestions! We began dinner ordering the Dungeness Crab + Avocado Roll and Calamari as appetizers, both were delicious. Two in the dinner party ordered the Herb Crusted Slow Roasted Prime Rib (they loved it). My wife ordered the DUNGENESS CRAB + SHRIMP FETTUCCINI which received a thumbs up and I selected the SEAFOOD TRIO which included Dungeness crabcake, salmon, shrimp with Yukon mashed potatoes seasonal vegetable and beurre blanc. My only complaint regarding this dish was the portion size of the salmon fillet (way too small). I did choose to elevate this entree by adding a 5oz lobster tail and additional grilled shrimp. Both were great! Regarding the salmon, I suggest that the kitchen reevaluate the size of the salmon fillet for this dish. As we were celebrating a birthday we ordered a couple desserts (Key Lime Pie, New York Style Cheesecake, and Butterscotch Bread Pudding) to go, and the birthday Red Velvet Cake that was devoured on site!

Mama's Crawfish & Seafood House - Combo II + 1 lb. Shrimp (Head-on) w/ House Special Sauce

Oysters Were Cute, But Auntie Needed a MEAL…read more It was my last night in Seattle and I was craving seafood, so I stopped by the spot I went to the night before to partake in their oyster happy hour. Very cute. Very sophisticated. Very "rich auntie enjoying oysters on a work trip." But who was I kidding? Those oysters were NEVER going to fill me up. So I got back to my hotel, got comfortable, and did what needed to be done: ordered Mama's Crawfish and Seafood House. I went with the fried catfish and shrimp basket, which came with fries, coleslaw, and hushpuppies. Now the catfish and shrimp?! Mama did her BIG ONE. Everything was seasoned perfectly, fried well, and exactly what I needed to close out my Seattle trip. I thoroughly enjoyed both. The sides, however, didn't move me. I love fries BAD, but these weren't amazing enough for me to stuff myself when I had perfectly good catfish and shrimp sitting there. I didn't bother with the coleslaw or hushpuppies either. I know where my priorities lie. Overall, Mama's absolutely satisfied the seafood craving. Next time I'm in Seattle, I'd definitely skip the delivery and go dine in so I can get the full experience. Because apparently oysters and wine are just my pre-dinner now.

Today, I am still a fan of Local Tide's food. I love their collaboration with their next door neighbor Aslan Brewing, which have become a favorite after work hangout lately with co-workers for happy hour. You can order food from Local Tide directly at Aslan and they will bring your food to you. Don't miss getting the shareable Chips with Salmon Belly Dip. That is sooo good and you might have to order 2 or 3 plates. It goes fast because you can't just eat a few, lol. The Salmon Sando and Salmon Teriyaki bowl is of course really good, too. But the surprise for me was their super good Smash Burger that is perfect with their home style fries. Both Local Tide and Aslan are two stellar businesses in Fremont. You can't go wrong patronizing either business. Support both!!! It is worth your time and money!

We loved everything we tried, but the shrimp toast was an absolute standout! I don't think I've ever had shrimp served in this format that was so plump and juicy. The accompaniments elevated every bite, adding even more flavor, but even without them, the shrimp toast was incredible on its own. The shrimp really speaks for itself! The rockfish bowl was another favorite. The fish is prepared like a patty and is SO flavorful. Paired with the bright, fresh slaw and soft, warm rice, it makes for the most incredible bite. Every component complements the others beautifully. We also tried the salmon belly dip, and the textures were fantastic. The chips taste homemade and are perfectly thin and crispy, providing the ideal contrast to the rich, creamy dip. The best part is getting a nice chunk of salmon in your scoop! The staff deserves just as much praise as the food. Everyone was incredibly kind, knowledgeable, and welcoming, and their recommendations were spot-on. You can tell when people genuinely know the menu and want you to have a great experience, and that made our visit even more special. The space is small and intimate, with a friendly, inviting atmosphere. When we visited, it wasn't very busy, but I could see seating becoming a challenge during peak hours, especially since I didn't notice any outdoor seating. Parking is also something to consider, as the area seems to rely primarily on street parking. I'd recommend giving yourself extra time to find a spot during busier periods. I'm still giving Local Tide five stars because our experience was phenomenal. Those potential logistical challenges didn't affect our visit, and I wouldn't want to take away from an experience that was genuinely wonderful. The food was delicious, the service was exceptional, and we left already planning our next visit. There are still so many things on the menu we want to try, which is always a good sign! Local Tide has officially made our list of Seattle spots to revisit. If you're a seafood lover looking for thoughtfully prepared food and genuinely welcoming service, this place is absolutely worth checking out!

My husband and I love Chinooks, and have been going here for more than 20 years…read more However, I have to preface this review with the fact that it has gotten quite expensive. It always was a bit on the upper end as far as prices go, however, it's so high now that we very rarely go anymore. Because most of the entrées are $30 or higher. So it's hard to get out of there for under $100, dinner for two. Even the "blue plate special", which used to be more affordable -and the name of which implies that it should be a good value, is more than $20 now. I don't remember how much exactly. I think it was $23 last time we were there. Their fisherman's bread, that they bring ahead of your order, is always scrumptious. And I do appreciate that there isn't a separate charge for that, because these days there are plenty of places that do charge for a bread plate. I'm always happy if I have a couple extra pieces to bring home; it goes great with scrambled eggs in the morning! So having mentioned the prices, they do have a happy hour, although the food menu is quite limited. But they have the BEST white clam chowder on the planet, and their Caesar salad is also excellent, and you can get both of those at happy hour. (Yay!) By the way, you don't have to order an alcoholic drink to sit in the bar area and have something during happy hour. Just FYI. If you do go for dinner and sit in the large restaurant area, they have a choice of seating between tables with wood chairs that have arms that go 3/4 around to your right and left (important for those of us who are plus sized - not so comfy), or your basic booths. And of course, who wouldn't love the big windows that look out at the marina and all the boats?! The specialty here, of course, is seafood, and they certainly know what they're doing. I've had salmon, halibut, catfish, bay scallops -(something I truly wish they would do more), shrimp/prawns... all excellent! And while I wish they would vary their dessert menu a bit, as it hasn't changed in all these years for the most part, the desserts are yummy and consistent. Personally, I love both the crème brûlée and the Irish cream chocolate mousse. They do also have a seasonal fruit "cobbler"; it has another name, but I forget. They make it with peaches and other seasonal fruit. It is HUGE! So either get it for your entrée or plan to share it with someone. With that in mind, if anyone at the restaurant is reading this, I would like to suggest a classic apple crisp. Now there's something that most people love, and it can be made year round, yet it's amazing how rarely you see it at any restaurant. Honestly, if we could afford it, we would go here probably twice a month. These days, we're lucky if we can do it twice a year!! And again, FYI, there is a large parking lot, but at peak times it can be full enough that you might have to walk the length of an average block to get to the entrance. It is wheelchair accessible by the way. Before I forget, I have to give a shout out to the staff, which is always very friendly and efficient. The wait staff in particular, is noteworthy! So this place is highly recommended...especially if you can afford it! Sorry, no photos at this time. I'll add some next time we go.

Service is never an issue, neither is finding a seat, even on the weekend.
