I went to Macy's in search of a gown for my son's wedding in a few days. I found a salesperson Adrianna and told her what I was looking for. she told me about the free personal shopper service and brought me to Christina. These two ladies were fabulous. they helped me pick out gowns that would work for me and we went off to the private fitting room. I found the perfect gown. Christina then went to find accessories and shoes for me. She would bring several options for me to choose from. They found everything from shoes, earrings and purse that all worked perfectly together. I was very nervous about finding the right gown, but they made it so easy and pleasant. I can't wait to wear it all. They made me feel like I was shopping with 2 friends. I will definitely be back to shop at Macy's. read more

Bathrooms are filthy - most disgusting things I've seen in a long time. Went to 2 to try to find a reasonably clean one for my 3 year old. Tough to justify patronizing a place that disregards such an easily achieved aspect of quality customer service. read more

She slammed the door in front of me twice, kept speaking under her breath and when I asked her to repeat herself because I didn't know what she was saying, she would get all aggressive. Worst customer service! Bought a movado watch and went back to have them put the links back on. I went 2x!!! The first day lady seemed like she didn't want to help me. She even told me to go to one of those shops to have links put back on. I told her no! Why would I pay additional money if I got the watch here. I still stayed then she told me it would take some time for me to go and kill some time . I said fine I went and killed a couple of hours. I come back and then she tells me to come back another day that her "tool" broke.. wow! I take my watch and come back a couple of days later. Macy's is horrible. I have been flagged TWICE while trying to checkout at the Northpark mall location in Dallas using my Macy's card. I have immaculate credit (800+) not even close to maxing out this card, pay off all balances each month. On top of that, I was unable to use my "rewards cash" when they ran me through the ringer and finally approved me over the phone. I am DONE with Macy's forever. Ellen and her partner in the Ralph Lauren women's department were not helpful. Turns,out that waiting on customers is not a priority. Macy's is HORRIBLE! I bought 10 rugs in an online sale. All were of poor quality. I have not spent 3 hours trying to get these returned. The stores won't answer their phones. And when I show up, they won't take the rugs because they don't sell them. The online customer service is being manned by Philapinos that you cannot understand and they cannot understand you. They have lied to me. They have set up my returns incorrectly. They have put me on hold for 30 minutes and then hung up, or transferred me to another person. (Probably because my return will take so much effort and they are rewarded on number of calls.) I'm beyond frustrated at the total incompetence and extreme lack of customer service. I will NEVER buy another item from Macy's as long as I live. I'm now a Nordstrom customer. read more

This store has a furniture store and an outstanding housewares section. I ended up buying about 5 small home appliances for a great price. This store is very clean also. Clothing needs help though. Macys clothing is similar to Ross Dress for Less. read more

This store is really hit or miss. I have found that any visit to the cosmetics department is a good one. Always staffed with great knowledgeable associates. The other departments are hit or miss. I have noticed the store is really understaffed lately. I know Macy's is having financial trouble at this time, but not having an associate to ring up someone is a problem. read more

Pretty much everything at Northpark Center is nice, including this Macy's. They have the same good sales that other Macy's have but this location does other special events also. For example, they participate in the Susan G Komen Race For The Cure event every year. That's a lot of fun. read more

Incompetent staff, need a manager to do anything, manager cannot rum the entire store. Granted we only had to deal with 2 associates but could not change the price of an item marked on sale. Checking out at the register took 20 minutes for a manager to make their way. read more

Damn I hate shopping... around and around I went to find a nice business suit and felt like goldy locks looking for a bed. This was my last stop... I walked in and looked around thinking, damn... these clothes are out dated, old looking... ick. Then, I saw a suit jacket that was ok. But the real plus happened with a sales clerk spotted my frustration and helped me out. She went and pulled my size in like 4 brands and brought them to me in the dressing room. Condescension in the home store! When I presented a coupon to a male manager with horn rimmed glasses (middle aged with greying hair) 10minutes ago, I was informed of company policy, in company language with attached company condescension which explained I could not have possibly had a coupon without an attached Macy's account. I have received coupons in the mail for years. I have not had a Macy's account for over 10 years. I was made to feel inferior and stupid for not knowing the company policy of 15% off in the home store... "Always 15% off in the home store". As if to say, duh! This is a classic example of wretchedly consistent sub par experiences in this store and most other Macy's stores. Well done Macy's. You've created employees with falsely inflated egos that have no idea of what customer service and treating people with dignity looks like. read more

Will never shop here ever again. If you go to their HR office to asked to print out a detailed statement because your house just got robbed and you need the statements to report that to your insurance, they will tell you that you have to bring an officer to do so. What cop will come with to macy's to print out a statement. She still refused to print out my statement after I showed her my police report. Then she told me to call macy's customer service and they can print it out, which I did and they were going to charge me $25 to print out 6 months of statements. My house just got robbed and now macys is robbing me too. Just heads up in shopping at this store. They will not help you, even if you're dying. I like Macy's in general. I only just discovered with this location that the name brands (like Jones New York and such) actually carry plus-size clothes. Hey...be nice to me! I grew up in a really small town 6 hours from the nearest city of any size. So I was super excited to find the selection here! However...I will not let that excitement cloud my judgment. While all the employees I came across were helpful and pleasant, they were clearly overworked and exhausted. One lady was clearly on her way to end her shift, but walked us over to check us out anyway. Thanks! However...disorganization! I know, it was the after-holidays sales, but WOW was this store disorganized! Especially the homegoods and clothing departments. Stuff was thrown EVERYWHERE and not organized by size or anything anymore. It was just chaos. I get it; it was the after-holidays sales. BUT...there was NO ONE organizing or correcting the mess anywhere in the entire store. I have higher expectations than that for you, Macy's, in Northpark no less. Target does a better job at keeping the store organized and clean than you do. read more

This is probably one of the better stores I have been to. They have a huge selection spread over a couple of stories. I was in there picking up so facial scrub and as usual the staff were friendly and helpful. Maybe too helpful as I left spending a lot more than anticipated (LOL). I guess that happens a lot though. We went to the store early the first week of June and bought matching recliners. They were supposed to be in stock for Fathers Day to be delivered out of Houston to Dallas. A couple of weeks passed and nothing but crickets did I hear. So called and were told only one chair came in and waiting on arrival. Emailed another week later and no reply. So we called and someone (other than our salesperson) was short and condescending. I emailed corporate customer service more than a week ago --- again crickets---. I really like this location based on the women's department. They have more of a selection than some of the other locations, and plenty of fitting rooms. I also like that it is easy to park outside of the entrance or in the garage (except for Saturdays). read more

I generally purchase my clothes and suits at Macy's, but do not use their Tuxedo Shop to rent your formal wear. After having to drive back and forth from Macy's on 3 separate occasions because the coat that they selected me had two different length sleeves, they sent me--an adult male--away with a Youth Small bow tie. Upon returning the suit and explaining this, I hardly got so much as an apology. Lots of hassles and frustrations to get the same job done I've had done elsewhere. Typical Macy's...nothing thrilling at this location. Decent Polo Ralph Lauren collection for men...I give it three stars because I neither love nor hate Macy's. If you go to Northpark for Macy's, then you'll probably love it; I'm typically using the Macy's parking garage entrance to get in and out of the mall and nothing more...a purchase here and there, but nothing more than that. read more
