I was dubious as she's pretty low-income but I didn't realize she had an agenda. Her old boots were almost worn out so she was in the market for some new ones. She tried on a couple of pairs of $59 non-Uggs and decided on some high top beige boots that fit her even though they were a bigger size than she usually wears. I just looked around while she tried in boots but I think I kinda fell in love with some lavender UGGS (see photo). Maybe I'll go back and try them on. Meanwhile my friend left happy. The clerk was very helpful and not pushy. There was a bit of a language barrier when my friend specified what she was looking for but it all worked out. The store is spacious, well-lit, organized and clean. They have a good selection of better quality sports shoes and boots, men's and women's. Right before we went in, the string on her sunhat broke and this place had dollar shoelaces so she got a pair of those too. Definitely gonna have to go back and check out those lavender UGGS.

I read some pretty awful reviews about the customer service here, so I wasn't sure what to expect, but I hustled in with my normal jovial jive. Mike kindly greeted me and led me to exactly what I thought I was looking for, Cobian sandals. While Cobian's weren't at all it for me (too tight in the middle of the foot), as I browsed Mike perfectly balanced providing support/giving me product knowledge with allowing me time to try things on slash check things out. In other words, anytime I had questions, which I had quite a few, he was there, but not in a hovery way. He informed me of other products, but really only when it was appropriate. As soon I tried my first pair on, Mike let me know where to find the nearest mirror. I knew I was leaving the store with sandals today, and Mike made that experience a breeze-no hiccups, no funny business, just excellent customer service. The same is to be said for the rest of the lively crew, including the associate who rung me up. Truly, nothing but good vibes here. Thank you to the entire crew! Again, this place was clean!

Macy's is closing, but you'd never know it with how dedicated she's and hard she's working. The dressing room is packed and people just leaving piles of clothes everywhere. She's running everything here. I thought she was a manger because of how on top of everything she is and how everyone else that is working was checking in with her for direction. To my surprise she's not a manager, SHE SHOULD BE. What a gem, seriously. She'd be a huge asset to ANY place she goes to after this. The sale is killer, I got a designer dress for $15! He was also totally disorganized and he took 15 minutes to find my shoes when I came at the appointed time to pick them up. I remember I said nothing to him at the time, but in my mind, I resolved "to never return again". That brings me to Gino's. I need to add some braiding to a leather bag, and my clothing tailor told me I should go to a shoe repair store, since they work with heavy leathers and tailors do not.. I brought the bag in question into Gino's today. Gino greeted me with friendliness. He listened closely to what I wanted and confirmed he could make the additions to the bag that I desired. I provided him with two widths of red and green braiding I wanted to add to the bag. And I pick it up in ten days! Please note Gino has moved his store within Grossmont Center. He formerlly was located next to Stinette Travel. Now he is directly opposite from See's Candies, so you can stop in there afterwards for some lucious dark chocolate creams!

The employee who assisted me was extremely informative, kind, and genuinely helpful throughout the process. After speaking with her for a bit, I learned that she was actually the store manager, Miranda Troncoso. It was refreshing and impressive to see a manager leading from the front and working alongside her team. That level of hands-on leadership really stood out to me. I truly appreciated the way she handled customer interactions, especially knowing how challenging it can be to work with the public--I work in wireless as a district manager, so I understand firsthand. Finish Line has a great leader at this location, and it definitely shows in the customer experience.
