Her attitude came across as cold and unfriendly, and I did not feel like my presence as a customer was appreciated. I understand that employees can have difficult days, and everyone has moments when they may not be in the best mood. However, when working in customer service, professionalism and basic courtesy are important. A simple greeting, a friendly attitude, and a willingness to assist customers can make a big difference in the overall shopping experience. Instead, I felt uncomfortable and almost as if I was bothering her by being there. I came into the store expecting a positive experience and was prepared to spend money, but the way I was treated made me reconsider wanting to shop there. I have visited other retail stores where the employees are much more welcoming and helpful, so this experience stood out to me in a negative way. I hope management takes customer feedback seriously and reminds employees that every customer should be treated with respect, regardless of how busy the store may be or what kind of day they are having. I am sharing this review in hopes that future customers will receive the welcoming and professional service they deserve.

There appeared to be someone suspected of stealing, which I completely understand can be stressful for employees, but the way it was handled was extremely unprofessional and created an awkward environment for every paying customer in the store. Instead of trying to calmly de escalate the situation and maintain professionalism, the employees were loudly arguing and making the entire atmosphere tense. I politely asked if they could open the second register so I could simply pay for our shirt and leave with my family because we were feeling uncomfortable. Rather than helping or acknowledging the concern, one of the employees started yelling across the store saying they had "someone stealing inside." That response was unnecessary, immature, and honestly shocking customer service. Situations like this are exactly why management and staff training matter. Customers should never feel trapped in the middle of store drama or loss prevention issues. A mature and experienced team would know how to handle situations discreetly while still taking care of paying customers respectfully.

As soon as I made it home from work that day, I told her these were not leather boots. We promptly took them back to exchange for a pair of leather boots. Empl# 420647, tried to convince me the Vegan Leather was real leather. I just told him to order me a pair of 1460 Cherry Doc Martens Leather. The return at this point seemed smooth but to my surprise on 10 Jan 2016, the day our family could gather and celebrate Christmas, we discovered the boots that had been ordered by the clerk were the completely wrong boots (R15265601). We followed the return instructions. Returned the incorrect product to Journeys Inc. The RETURN instructions were followed. The boots were sent via UPS Ground (Track#1Z V52 2E3 06 2605 1968) on 11 Jan 2016. The instructions said the product could not be returned to the store and I would receive a credit to my card once received and processesed. RYAN at the Dock in Lebanon, TN received the boots on 15 Jan 2015 @ 1059. I was NEVER credited by Journeys Inc. $169.99....Still waiting patiently for my refund. On 12 Feb 2016, I called customer service on there packing list 1-888-324-6536. Tragically laughable, Journeys Inc prints they incorrect phone number on their packing lists (Picture Posted) I hunted down the CORRECT number somewhere in the internet. It was slightly hidden, but based on the work I do, I feared the small hole would eventually become a bigger issue over time. So I asked Ruben if there was another pair. I didn't ask for a discount, but he offered to see if there was a possibility for a discount based on the small hole noticed, as he had seen it too. He walked to the back to touch base with the MOD, and she came back with what seemed like a dismissive and condescending attitude. She began inspecting the shoe in front of me, repeating that there was no hole. I pointed it out for her and showed her where the hole was. She said "So you don't want them?". I wasn't going to argue with her, but I also wasn't going to waste Ruben's time at his attempt to save the sale, so I purchased the insoles and left to buy the shoe from another retailer. Had she spoken to me like an adult, or just explained for such a minor flaw she could not offer a discount, or offered to order another pair for me, my transaction would've continued. But not only am I a trained seamstress, with a degree in fashion design, and a small business in handmade leather goods, I decided to take my business elsewhere.
