He generously walked me through the troubleshooting process, shared his knowledge, and gave me honest, practical advice without asking for anything in return. What impressed me most was his patience and willingness to explain things in a way that made sense. Instead of jumping to expensive solutions, he helped me narrow down the possible causes and gave me the confidence to make informed decisions about my PC. Beyond his technical expertise, Alex is just a genuinely kind and trustworthy person. It's rare to find someone who's so knowledgeable yet willing to help a complete stranger simply because they care. If you're looking for someone who knows computers, values integrity, and truly wants to help people, I highly recommend Alex. He's the kind of person you can trust, and I wouldn't hesitate to reach out to him again in the future.

It's also the only place where I can keep my haggling skills sharp for trips to China. Eid's has a pretty wide selection of electronics, which is endlessly useful when you don't have the time to wait for an online purchase. Eid himself seems nice, if somewhat gruff, and the price he initially names is almost never fair. But after a bit of lip pursing, hesitation, and mention of "Well, on amazon.com, ...", the price will dip to something quite reasonable. The last time I was here, I wanted to buy a headphone extension. He told me it was $5, and I was actually about to willingly pay up when he said, "No, for you, $3." I smiled, opened my wallet to fish out three dollars, and then he told me, "Make it $2." I left the store happily, but really, if he keeps this up, he's going to be taking half the fun out of the experience.

He gave us a great price for a unit that we could pick up at the end of the week. We pre-paid, they didn't seem to know how to use the credit card machine (hm), and we naively ignored these telltale signs... 10 weeks later, we still don't have our player. A couple of weeks ago, he gave my husband a dusty "loaner" unit, and it doesn't even work. All we want is our money back. We never, ever want to go there again, but unfortunately, we still have unfinished business to take care of.

Apple told me the logic board was bad and quoted me around $500 for a repair. I thought I was going to have to buy a whole new phone. I decided to get a second opinion from My Emergency Guy, and I'm so glad I did. They took the time to diagnose the problem, explained everything clearly, and repaired my phone for much less than Apple's quote. The communication was honest, professional, and straightforward the whole time. They even applied the diagnostic fee toward the repair, which I really appreciated. My phone is working perfectly again, and they saved me hundreds of dollars. I wanted to share my experience and concerns regarding my data recovery evaluation. I am not…read moresomeone who typically writes negative reviews. I'm about uplifting local businesses. However, because I work in the technology field, I felt it was important to share my experience after taking the time to look further into the situation and to help others going through a similar situation. Initially, I did not jump to conclusions. Instead, I sought additional opinions from other professional recovery companies to better understand available options. That's most important. Before posting this review, I reached out directly to Emergency Guy to give them an opportunity to address my concerns and provide clarification. Unfortunately, I did not receive a response. I came to Emergency Guy seeking guidance after experiencing issues with my HDD and SSD. Overall, the staff and technicians were respectful. However, I did have one interaction with an individual staff member who appeared overwhelmed and frustrated - possibly the owner, Phillip? While that affected the tone of that particular interaction, I understand that these situations can happen. It did not deter me from my overall experience, as I continued working with other staff members who were professional and helped improve the overall tone of the communication. I paidfor an evaluation and assessment, including shipping costs. During a follow-up phone conversation, I was asked over the phone whether I would consider increasing my budget to approximately $2,000 so the HDD could be sent to another company. While I was open to discussing available options, I ultimately decided not to proceed. Approximately four weeks later or longer, I was informed that the HDD platters were damaged and that there was essentially no realistic chance of recovering my data, even through another recovery provider. I was also asked whether I wanted the drive recycled, which I understood as disposing of the device, and I chose not to proceed with that option. I sought additional professional opinions. After receiving a second and third evaluation from other data recovery companies, I was advised that the condition of the HDD did not appear to match the assessment I had originally received. This experience raised concerns about the accuracy of the initial evaluation. Since I paid it, I expected a clear and accurate diagnosis of the drive's condition, along with realistic information regarding possible recovery options. My concern is not that recovery was uncertain -- I understand that data recovery can be complex and that outcomes are never guaranteed. My concern is that I was told it was beyond recovery, yet further evaluations resulted in my data being successfully recovered. My advice to anyone going through a similar situation is to seek multiple professional opinions. I chose Emergency Guy because I believe in supporting local businesses, and I appreciate the services they provide. However, when dealing with important data recovery decisions, it is always wise to consult other qualified professionals. If something does not feel right, take the time to ask questions, gather information, and get additional opinions before making a final decision. If someone becomes dismissive with questions - that's a sign to move on immediately.
