All of the techs I've had do a great, clean job with nail painting. Never had a result I didn't like! Most recently came in for a dark polish on my finger nails and she did a wonderful job in 15 minutes. The salon itself is always clean, but it's certainly outdated. Could maybe use a little upgrade in that way, and maybe a little lower on the intense overhead lighting- just mini suggestions on making it a little more spa-esque. It's tucked into a little shopping strip off of Santa Monica, so it could be very easy to miss. Give this local spot on your next mission to get a mani/pedi!

Mine trickled cold water and I sat there for about 10 minutes before a tech was freed up. When I told her the water was freezing she had to fill up a bowl and get water from a sink. Not the end of the world but it made for the right temp to be reached. The whole process seemed rushed and the massages were mediocre at best. All fine since also, the pedicure was $35 when I'm used to paying $45-50. The nail tech herself was friendly and she did a nice job on my toes.

They advertise 10 minutes for the signature pedicure, but they definitely go over that. It really feels like they go above and beyond to make sure you leave relaxed and happy. Ritchie was amazing- not only did he give her a beautiful haircut, he showed me and my daughter step by step how to style and fry her hair so we would have the same results at home. He also provided us with small portions of the same products he used so we could try them at home and told me to call him if we had any trouble. Ritchie has a great personality and is fun to talk to- he had my shy daughter opening up and we all had a great time chatting while he did her hair. The salon was recently redecorated, so in addition to getting an awesome haircut and color, you can relax in a truly beautiful space. They use Davines products which are all-natural, so that's a huge plus if you're concerned about chemicals. Overall, I can't say enough about Brio! I am in Pedicure chair not 10min, "relaxing" hen a younger girl in her (Gilligan's Island) hat comes LITERALLY rushing over to me, with a hand drill and tells me to turn by body in an awkward position so she can start nails while my feet are hanging over to the opposite side and she's piling in layers of polish. Real "relaxing!" Getting a Charley horse in the flank area now, as she proceeds to ask how long and cut off- still in Pedi chair. That sucked bc she went short and filed short-er. They finally tell me to go sit at nail station. The older lady is flying past me with her coat. Still 1.5hr open. Gilligan is now under her desk, asking me for my feet to do additional clear coat. Spoiler alert! Toes messy, doesn't meet cuticle and goopy, sloppy dry. I ask for a whole repolish before I am paying. A guy, he understood the very simple assignment just fine. Gilligan confirms I want pink and white Ombre. She hands me a book. Now, I will admit that my previous nail folks just knew me/my style, I have gotten Ombre since (2019) before it was even ombre! So I never had to choose anything, shades of pink, etc. I didn't want to choose wrong. Didn't matter bc she proceeded to cover the whole nail in the pink gel powder. Then white gel powder layer OVER THE PINK. This gives big, chunky nails, bc it is NOT ombre! Ombre is a SKILLED SERVICE, mesh the colors together. This is not paint with watercolors! I am so tired of these places cheapening service now bc it's just an era for nails right now. Charge extra fees and try to dress up the BASIC services you are actually getting! And don't tell me you have time for services and then have your employees running around the room and bombarding me while I sit in my "relaxing spa and massage chair!" And the reviews all day the same about the prices and the way they bill/treat customers- so I will just end my rant. Jus saying "CONVIENENCE FEE?! $3?!""SHAPING $5 ?!
