First impression was that the salon on is bright, clean, and well-kept. We were kindly greeted and directed to pick a polish from the color wall in back. So many options that it was hard to pick! Ultimately I went with "pina colada" which is a a pale pink. I love it. The service was very enjoyable. I went for the second-tier pedicure, called premium. It includes a foot soak (loved the hot-hot water) , nail shaping, cuticle detailing, exfoliating scrub, callus removing, hot towel, lotions, foot/leg massage (best part), and a polish. It's $49 for this but and additional $15 dollars if you want gel polish. That seems like a steep price for such a small upgrade in my opinion, buuuut of course I did it anyway. I also noticed they greeted customers they knew with pleasant familiarity. The previous owner, I believe, fell ill so her business fell flat but the new owners want to bring life into the business. They have completely remodeled inside and beefed up the number of staff. I see a lot of disappointed reviews from the last two years, and I hope you give the new people a chance. They finally tell me to go sit at nail station. The older lady is flying past me with her coat. Still 1.5hr open. Gilligan is now under her desk, asking me for my feet to do additional clear coat. Spoiler alert! Toes messy, doesn't meet cuticle and goopy, sloppy dry. I ask for a whole repolish before I am paying. A guy, he understood the very simple assignment just fine. Gilligan confirms I want pink and white Ombre. She hands me a book. Now, I will admit that my previous nail folks just knew me/my style, I have gotten Ombre since (2019) before it was even ombre! So I never had to choose anything, shades of pink, etc. I didn't want to choose wrong. Didn't matter bc she proceeded to cover the whole nail in the pink gel powder. Then white gel powder layer OVER THE PINK. This gives big, chunky nails, bc it is NOT ombre! Ombre is a SKILLED SERVICE, mesh the colors together. This is not paint with watercolors! I am so tired of these places cheapening service now bc it's just an era for nails right now. Charge extra fees and try to dress up the BASIC services you are actually getting! And don't tell me you have time for services and then have your employees running around the room and bombarding me while I sit in my "relaxing spa and massage chair!" And the reviews all day the same about the prices and the way they bill/treat customers- so I will just end my rant. Jus saying "CONVIENENCE FEE?! $3?!""SHAPING $5 ?!
