Prices are the same but the little touches make the difference with pleasant music, heated oil for pedicures, a tidy facility, and well-trained personnel. I felt their services were attentive and caring and were reasonably priced. I had a nice chat with the man who did my services and walked away relaxed with a great mani/pedi. I also noticed they greeted customers they knew with pleasant familiarity. The previous owner, I believe, fell ill so her business fell flat but the new owners want to bring life into the business. They have completely remodeled inside and beefed up the number of staff. I see a lot of disappointed reviews from the last two years, and I hope you give the new people a chance. Back to 5 stars. It's still my go to place despite the hiccups from before. The owner is always nice and greets me by name. She's usually more friendly after I'm seated. She's usually busy when I walk in and looks up to ask how can she help. Service depends on who you get as your tech. During summer months, just watch out for young ones working here. I think their kids come to work here sometimes when they're busy during their vacation... Try to go when they aren't as busy. And actually, if you specifically ask them for a more seasoned tech and make a reservation you won't run into getting someone who doesn't know what they're doing. Talk and make sure you're understood. Sometimes they just assume things and do things. Like not ask you what service you want and charge you for the deluxe pedi instead of regular. Or put polish on without asking which color on which toe. Yet despite all these bumps, the place still gets the job done and I'm out relaxed. And pretty toes that lasts several weeks. read more

I called Posh Nail Lounge on Christmas Eve day. I desperately needed to get my nails done. I was afraid they might not be able to fit me in. I was able to get an appointment not only same day, but within 2 hours of my call. My nails were in terrible shape. Helen took her time and in 45 minutes my nails looked like something out of a magazine. She put oil on my cuticles and massaged my hands with lotion. It was top notch spa treatment. I went in on Friday April 14th 2023.....I had been going to this salon from 2014 up to 2019. In 2019 as I was reminded today by the owner I had dip powder done. I totally forgot. Anyway skipping forward. I started going to a totally different salon 2022 post Covid and love them they are awesome professional clean and accommodating. So I had my dip powder done 3/31 at the other salon and things were going great I needed a fill and my current awesome salon was packed so I decided to call Posh to see if I could get in there. I skipped over several other salons in the Bayshore area and went to Posh because I know the owner and she and I had good history. I was there for two hours it was horrible. Anyway bottom line. There was no one in there Red Flag I again knowing the owner felt she would do a great job and we could catch up. Boy oh boy was I in for a shocker!! So Friday I got my dip done at Posh by Sunday my dip was chipped and my nails are not smooth. I called today asking to have this corrected she told me to come Wednesday I said great I'm off at 6 she said no we close early 630 that day. I then said well I'm off Friday can I come back then? She said no she did not have time and was busy all day I said well can we make it right can you give me a portion of my money back? I paid 50 back plus $10 tip she said no. Wow I paid for a service and tipped her. I said this makes me feel sad and that's when she reminded of my last visit there back in 2019. She snickered and she said you said that last time maybe dip is not for you. Condescending a bit!!!! I work hard for my money and I believed she would do a good job. She didn't and it took over 2 hours in her shop. I am going to pray on this. I was duped and laughed at. I know that other reportable places will make time to correct their mistakes or be willing to give you something to compensate. At least give me $10 back. My tip that I gave . I say all this to say. Horrible service and horrible customer service I am really disappointed. Also embarrassed and feeling dumb for going back and patronizing this shop again. She remembered after all these years how she messed up my nails. Located in Glendale and very close to the bayshore mall, this is at a very convenient area for customers to come in. They have manicures and pedicures starting at reasonable rates and on Monday's they have a discount as well. I have done couple manicures here and have had fairly decent experience. The first time around was great but the second time around, the lady didn't quite understand simple things like I wanted the nails shaped round. She just filed them however she liked. Then I showed her how to do it and she got a hang of it. It could have been a language barrier too as I think she wasn't fluent in English. You almost always immediately find availability however I would recommend calling in before to check if there is one. Sometimes they have 10-15 Min wait, which is ok if you don't mind waiting, but in interest of time, it's helpful to call first. They offer you a beverage such as tea or water which is nice to sip on while u get pampered on. They have a huge nail color collection including gel.. the owner informs you if they have got new colors which is nice and keeps you interested in trying something new. I like to try the mood changing colors once in a while which adds so much fun to my nails. I would recommend people to come in on when they have specials and try new and exciting colors. read more

I wish it were possible to give this horrific place 0 stars, but I had to give at least 1 star in order to leave a review. I want to tell you about an absolutely humiliating experience that I just had, in hopes of sparing anyone else from it. I don't use this word often, and I don't use it lightly, but when I tell you it felt like discrimination... That's what I mean. I haven't gotten a manicure in years, I usually do my own nails, but today I decided to try a place in Whitefish Bay called Posh Nail Lounge. I had a 12 PM appointment and arrived on time, although after checking in I was left to sit there for almost 20 minutes before my appointment began. No apology, no "someone will be right with you"... Just sat there being passed by as other customers were being paid attention. When the woman who checked me in finally came over to begin my appointment, I asked how long the manicure would take. She said it would take about 40 minutes. I asked if we could begin soon because I had somewhere I needed to be and my appointment time was 20 minutes ago. She very briskly said "I can't guarantee, you can stay or you can go." I was caught super off guard because I had asked very nicely. I said "Well I'd like to stay, I'm just hoping we can begin soon." Still caught off guard by the rudeness, especially because she had begun my appointment so late. She gave me a bowl of water to soak my nails and came back close to another 10 minutes later. If you're not someone who gets your nails done, that's a pretty long time to soak if you're not removing polish (I had no polish on my nails when I arrived). She came back and pulled out the nail drill. I was really surprised because I have natural nails and they had no polish on them, and I had never gotten a dip manicure done before. I asked her if it was typical to use the drill on bare nails and she said "yes for dip polish". I said "Oh I'm sorry I've never had dip done before, and my nails are pretty thin so I don't think the drill is good for them. Could I just have regular no chip polish instead?" She stood up from her chair and said "You don't like my service, I refuse you business." I was absolutely stunned, almost speechless. I thought maybe there was some sort of a language barrier and that there had been a miscommunication (it was the only thing that made sense to me), so I very calmly and kindly tried again... "No no no, there's nothing wrong with your service I just think the drill would harm my nails, could I just have regular no chip nail polish please?" She repeated " I can refuse your business, I refuse your business. No you can go." I was still stunned and trying to smooth out what I was convinced was a miscommunication- "Miss, no, I think there's a miscommunication... there is no problem with your service. I just want to change the kind of nail polish before we start." She said "I hear what you say and this how I do my service... you no like it you can go I refuse your business." I said "You're refusing my business because I asked for a different kind of nail polish???" She said "Yes, you go now." Even as I'm typing this I'm absolutely mortified. My hands are shaking. I looked around the room speechless, searching for someone who had overheard and was experiencing what I was experiencing. I locked eyes with a woman I had been chatting with earlier while I was waiting and I said "Am I hallucinating or is this really happening????" She shook her head and said "That was uncalled for!" I wanted to verbally rake her across the coals. I wanted to yell at her that she had absolutely no place in business. But I knew if I did that, even though I had every right, it would look like causing a scene and then I would look like the crazy one. So instead I looked her in the eye and very calmly said "I hope the way you treat people, and your business practice improve because this is absurd!" And I left. The lady did not speak English and the communication was extremely difficult. I have long natural nail asked for overlay. The lady was grinding my nails down so much it started to hurt. A friend and I came to get our nails done and at first everything was going well..until it wasn't. They initially set me up in a big comfy chair and 2 nail techs started working on my nails- one doing the pedicure, the other doing my manicure. At that point, I was ready to give them a full 5 stars because everything seemed to be going efficiently and in my book, efficient gets rave reviews. So as someone worked on my toes, I picked out my gel color. After I picked out my color, they set the machine up on my lap. The nail tech working on my manicure cleaned my nails but then he ended up disappearing. So here I am with a clunky machine on my lap...waiting. My pedi got done and I was still just...waiting. Eventually, someone came to finish my mani but she was pretty slow and even though I wasn't super satisfied with my mani, I was too tired to fight it. Although I am a sucker for a good deal and paying $53 for a mani pedi is pretty decent, the service simply wasn't good enough for me to come back. read more

He actually laughs about it, if someone get burned he won't think it's funny then. Communication was terrible, but more-so they destroyed my feet. I used to be in the nail profession and performed pedicures regularly. The one thing never to do is to let someone use one of those cheese grater looking things on your feet. I have nice feet, have always kept them maintained. I just had a baby when I stopped in here to have a pedi since after a c-section I could not do it myself. I was reading a magazine when I just happened to look down to see that she was doing exactly that, using a cheese grater on my feet. Did not ask me if it was ok and it was certainly not necessary!!!! My feet are ruined! I have worked for the last 6 weeks to get them back to normal and it is now impossible! They have never felt this rough and nothing I do helps! Hmmm. I think their name is a bit misleading... it is not a super posh place, but it is nice enough. They offer you a tea or soft drink if you like (even root beer!!) and they have the push-button massage chairs for pedicures. They also have an ample magazine selection so you can catch up on all of your celebrity news like I did! literally had the worst experience my last visit at this salon. I wanted to cry how bad I was treated. This salon does not care about the needs of the customer specifically black customers. I have witnessed the shop owner yell at a pregnant black woman because she wanted him to soak off her nails. He told her she will do what he says "this is his shop." As always, I scheduled an appt prior to coming. This particular day their credit card machine was out of order so I sensed some tension based on how they delivered the message that it was down. I didn't let that bother me. I proceeded to wait 30 mins for the technician to get to his chair (although I had an already confirmed appt). He chose that he wanted to do pedicures maybe that pays him more money. I asked if someone else could wrap my nails while he was finishing up and everyone just stated that he'd be coming shortly. After waiting 30 mins, he wraps my nails and inform him that I have a polish change for my toes as well. He had just done them last week and the color was awful. I'm not sure if he recognized that I was a regular patron of his, but he told me that they were busy and asked if I could come back later. I explained that I have this service on my appt when I originally made it. He then asks the shop owner's wife in their native language did I have this service. She stops servicing her client to check the computer to see if that was true like I would lie. So she confirmed it was so he got up out of his chair started throwing the towels, kicked the stool they sit on to do pedicures then provided me with a dirty used towel to place my feet on. I'm sitting here, nails wrapped, feeling so unwelcome. I had a flight to catch in a few hours so I was almost out of time and options. The technician complete the color change and almost half way through another one comes over and requests that he go to another individual getting a pedicure. He leaves me there to for the other tech to finish the paint job. The other technician that came over did not put alcohol on my toes (process after getting gel polish) to ensure they won't smudge. All of my paint came off by the time my flight landed. I will never patronize this place again and if you are quality service, appreciation, and respect, I will not stop by this nail salon; specifically speaking to black customers I highly do not recommend. I'd started patronizing Posh before the Pandemic and never encountered an issue. However, after they reopened I've encountered more than enough issues with quality of service, customer service and inconsistent hours to have my opinion change greatly. After my last experience I will NEVER BE BACK. I went in on a Friday for a pedi and a gel manicure. I selected a deluxe pedi with paraffin wax. I can't say i know the difference between their spa pedi and the deluxe pedi as i was charged extra for the paraffin wax. The lady who serviced me gave a satisfactory pedi however the polish was a horrible quality and she struggled to give me a clean application. They carry pretty decent brands like OPI but this polish was an off brand I'd never seen. The color was white and appeared to be the only white they had. It was streaky and just didn't perform well. There was polish all over my skin and I had to guide her to clean my toes off even though she a better view of my feet... while getting my pedi another lady started my mani. She was heavy handed and in a rush to finish. She nicked my cuticle as well. By this point I was slightly annoyed. I move from the pedi chair to sit to have my mani completed. I had to clean up the blood from the nick. The lady was literally trying to complete a gel manicure with the blood in my cuticle. Completely UNSANITARY! It took them forever to understand the simple design I wanted. I had selected the color while sitting in the pedi chair but asked if they had something different. The color was showing up bronze but I wanted a true gold. By this time the manger was over helping the lady. She tells me "well this is the color you picked". Yes, I was aware of that but was asking if you have other options. DEFENSIVE. She brings over more color swatches, ones I had not seen... So why was that statement necessary??? As I'm trying to explain the painfully simple design I want she's condescending in correcting my choice of words. I am not a manicurist. I don't do nails. Why are you correcting me, your customer??? You should be helping me. DEFENSIVE. The manger finally takes over and completes the job. By this time I'm past slightly annoyed. The amount of time these services took everything should have been perfect! They were NOT. I pay, leave and once I get home I see just how subpar the pedi was. Still polish all in my cuticles and on my skin and within 3 days its cracking, chipping and on one nail the polish had completely fallen off. For a $60 pedicure?? ABSOLUTELY UNACCEPTABLE!!! I call in to inform the owner of this and requested a repolish. I get there and sit down and she starts to remove the polish, which is essentially all my nails. Instantly she starts by saying she doesn't remember me coming in. Mind you I've been patronizing this business for well over 3 years. Yes, I was there and it was YOU that did my nails. She states that she did not. How DISGUSTING! Implying I'm a liar and can't even distinguish between you and your 2 other employees. I spent well over and hour and $100 in your business just a few days ago. I tell her the polish simply didn't perform well and requested a different color because why would I want the same subpar polish??? She tells me I would have to pay... After spending $60 for a non gel pedicure and have the polish come off entirely not even after 3 days?!?!?! I made the decision to leave. ENOUGH WAS QUITE ENOUGH. As I'm expressing my complete dissatisfaction with the current and past experience she's rebutting everything I say. The phone rings and she simply walks away while I'm still talking. Never again. I wish I could give this place ZERO STARS!!!! Negative stars! They are so unprofessional and now I believe racist! This was my third time visiting them this past Saturday 7/24 and I am completely appalled by the behavior they displayed! I work hard for my money and I would like things a certain way especially when I am having mommy time alone. I normally have the male tech do my pedicure and have had no issues the 1st two visits. However this last visit, I had a lady who had a very messed up attitude and did not want to accommodate the things I was asking for. I asked for hotter water, she wouldn't turn it on, I asked for a dry towel to sit my feet on, she said "later". She was about to clip my toenails without asking me if I wanted them cut down. She was very rough when pulling my legs to position them to get ready for my toes to be polished. She hit my feet multiple times with the gel dryer. When she was done she said "all done" and walked away. She didn't lift the arm rest up to hand me my sandals or my purse. She started to do a completely different client when I had also asked for a fill. Suddenly, the so called manager comes up and says in front of everybody that the lady told her I was "too needy and difficult so she not do yo nail" I didn't want her to do my nails at that point because she was so rude and not accommodating. The tech then asked me "You pay me my money now?" I said excuse me that is no way to talk to a customer. I said my husband is on his way in to pay for my toes. She said its 50 dollar I said gel polish is an extra 10 so 45 she said no 50. I said okay whatever. They both went to the back talking in their language and before I knew it, Glendale police officers were pulling up! They called the police on me! I was not yelling, rude, belligerent, nothing of the sort! Even the officers said so! They said they get these calls all the time from the salons in the Bayshore area! DO NOT GO HERE! Took and hour and half to get acrylics soaked off and the service was terrible. The woman put my sister's hands in the acetone and just left us alone for an hour and 15 minutes. i got my first full set of acrylics here. i paid for gel nails and expected my nails to stay nice for at least two weeks. the whole thing was about $45 even on the 15% off day. I dont have a lot to compare them with but the 2 stars are mostly because my nails got dirty and stained after only a day and one already fell off after one week. some others are falling off and some of the acrylic got on my nail. my friend came with me and also got a set, she gets acrylics regularly and she said she would never go back there. I use to enjoy coming here. Posh was a place I've frequented with my mother. Today changed all of that when I was accused of lying about the type of service I wanted. I was asked if I wanted a gel color. I said no. As I was speaking with the person who greeted me (turned out to be the owner), we were talking about color. I distinctly told her that color last long on my feet. She must have misunderstood, later saying that I stated I wanted gel so it would last longer. I never asked for it, yet the nail tech ended up doing gel color on my feet. Unfortunately, the police was called to serve as a mediator. I don't know if that was suppose to scare me into paying. I stayed calm, knowing that I didn't say what she accused me of. The owner and I both explained our sides and the officer explained to the owner that she couldn't force me to pay for something I didn't ask for... I don't blame the nail tech (who later apologized) because he was told what to do by the manager out of earshot from me. I realize it was just a misunderstanding ... but how the manger spoke to me, basically accusing me of lying and even insisting that I had gel done before (which was not true and that's why I didn't realize a gel "procedure" was being done. I thought the nail tech was just changing the way he did deluxe pedicures). I told them to take the gel off, and give me what I asked for. I've been a few times to this place. But the last time I went made me never want to go back. I liked this nail salon at first because the employees seemed nice, good ambiance and they did a decent job on my nails. But, at my most recent visit, one of the employees gets yelled at in front of patrons; my nail girl did a sloppy job on my nails. The final straw was that they quoted me one price, and I find out on my credit card statement that they charged me an additional $7 without telling me. I gave my girl a cash tip too. I will not go back nor do I recommend this place to anyone. read more

OPI manicure chipped in 2 days- and they charged me extra for quick dry top coat- and it obviously didn't work!

Nice and clean and friendly, but the nail tech, though sweet, was not very good. She zapped me a few times with the dremmel tool, and I had a lot of excess gloop on my hands after the fill-in. Her shaping and polishing were not so great. I'm only in town for a visit, but if I were at home, I'd have immediately gotten out my remover and re-done the whole polish job. I did ask her to fix the worst one, which was bubbling up, and she re-painted, but it still looks not so hot. The owner/manager was standing over her part of the time, but never stepped in to fix her work. Bummer. Otherwise seemed like a decent place. read more
