They do a fab job on your nails and most of the people that stumble in there are from referrals (e.g. coveting friends nails). My trip in yesterday was much needed but kinda pricey in the end ($32 for french pedi before tip). I think the lady got confused on wanted because I pointed to the $22 one but I think she gave me the $25 one + $7 for french. She applied this peppermint scrub + a clay mask. I think the mask had Eucalyptus in it because by the time she was done with both. My legs were so tingly-- I couldn't fidget when she scrubbed the bottom of my feet. All in all just taking away 1 star due to poor communication. But I'll definitely be back! - Massage Chairs are awesome. I kept checking behind my back. Absolutely fell in love with this place not only is everyone friendly knows what they're doing but they take everyone with patience I walked in as soon as they open and let me tell you it is as people describe. Good business keeps bringing back loyal customers. I only have it four stars due to yes I would also like to see sterilization equipment being brought out sterilized in packages or something to that nature but I did see they have the liquid sterilizer everywhere so it kept me somewhat calm in that aspect. I for the life of me can remember the girls name who did my nails only that the first part of the name (it was about four words long) is Y? So she's awesome been there 11 years she told me. And has been doing a great job she had pictures of previous work and was attentive to me comments about how some nails started out a little crooked. She kindly fixed them and filled me in on how she always goes back to fix anything she's asked to. (: I like the atmosphere of the salon itself. I've been a loyal customer at LV nails for over 8 years and I unfortunately will not be returning after today. I came in to get a fill and I showed them what I wanted to do to my nails. We picked the colors and when she finished I went to my pedicure and couldn't help but ask her to change the color on my nails. I've never complained and never had issues before but I just couldn't leave the salon with the nails I had. They were terrible. She then started getting angry that I wanted to change the color, and told me if I want to change the color she's going to charge me $20 extra on top of $28 for a fill just to change the color. After having her husband argue with me in front of everyone, I said fine just please change the color I'll pay the $20 and I'm never coming back. Her husband then said that he's going to do it because she's busy. I went to sit in his chair and she talked shit about me the entire time I sat in the chair with her husband. Her husband then VERY aggressively filed and changed the color of my nails. I told him twice he was hurting me. The new color is better but he did such a Terrible job painting them the corners are already chipping and I have bubbles. I will not be returning. read more

My sister and I walked in without appointments for our pedicures. We were seated immediately, it was a Wednesday mid morning. Lucky timing. I think this was one of the best pedicures I've ever had. Definitely my favorite nail spot! Everyone who works here is so friendly, and they remember you even if it's been ages (they even remember your name, what color you got last time, etc.). Everything is clean, chairs are comfortable, and the best part is that when you get acrylics, they never cut you. I haven't had my skin broken or pain from the file overheating ever at this place. Usually, if I go somewhere else, I feel like I can't relax because eventually I'll get a zing of pain. Never here! They half took off my gel polish and were upset I didn't want them to redo my nails. But my finger were to soar from what they did to them. Waste of time. I have been here twice, both times I came after my full time job and arrived an hour before their posted closing time (came at 4:40 when they close at 6). Both times they were rude and turned me away, saying "they were closed" and "didn't have time" when they have over an hour of business hours left. I totally understand being booked & busy but do not appreciate them being rude when I am simply trying to come in and get my nails done. Attempting to reschedule or simply being nice about the situation would have been a better route than being rude & offensive that I would even ask. I was upset after our first interaction, but thought I would try again today since there was over an hour and a half left before they closed. But the same rude treatment. I recently moved here from Tustin so I have been trying to find a new place so I don't have to drive an hour away for my nails. I was a walk in and they took me in right away for a fill & color change on my nails (gel) and a pedicure with gel as well. The male started on my nails through out this whole time he was answering phone calls and would stop for a good few minutes, I wanted to walk out cause i was so annoyed but I needed my nails done since i was leaving for vacation. I get you want business but I think a physical customer that's in front of you should be priority. So he takes off my previous gel and passes me to a different nail tech I notice some of my previous gel is still on the tips of my nails. I figured she would remove the rest or it would come off with filing since it was small. NOPE! I leave with my previous gel color on the tips of my nails and the full tip of my nail isn't even covered with the new color I picked. It was just done very half ass and yess I was a walk in but If you're going to take a client and rush it and not do the job properly because you don't have time or don't care....don't take them at all. read more

I have been coming here for about 11 years. I used to live in Oceanside so I would come very often. Then I moved to San Marcos and it is hard to schedule time to make it here with work, husband, baby and just life in general. I will say that yes the price may be higher than other places but I have NEVER had a bad experience. I was a walk in at about 1:15pm on a Friday afternoon, they had me wait approx 15 min and took me right away for a pedicure. I also had a gel manicure done at the same time which was great. They were super nice and pleasant. The facility is really clean and as soon as I sat down, both manicurists took out sterilized tools. I'm super picky about nail salons using clean and sterile tools. Prices are decent. While I was there, many people walked in and the phone was ringing for people to make appts but they were booking FAST! Try to call ahead of your arrival to get a spot. I have been an off and on customer for quite a few years. I always ask for Nancy, as she does really good work. HOWEVER, recently I had an UNCOMFORTABLE experience there and will NEVER go back. As usual, I made an appointment. Of all the times over the years I have been going to this salon, I have been minutes late a few times. The time before the incident I will be relaying in this forum...despite being EARLY to my appointment with Nancy, I was kept waiting more than 30 minutes because Nancy had not had time to eat anything or go to the bathroom all day. She apologized to me and I told her "no problem, I understand". The next appointment I had was on a week day at rush hour. I work in Sorrento Valley...and traffic on I-5 can be unpredictable. Despite my best efforts, I could see that I would be a few minutes late. As I was not comfortable trying to call while driving, because I would have risked being in an accident while lookng for their # on my cell phone, I did not call...thinking they would be OK since I had always been a good client, non-complaing , and good tipping (never less than 20%)!!!! However, I did get a call from the salon ( owner??, but not Nancy) asking when I would get there. I said five minutes, and was there in 3 minutes. Nancy took me back and as I was about to begin the "relaxing (!?)" pedicure soak...Nancy had the gaul to relay a second time... "you were late". Well, after rushing to get there, being stressed out about being late, I became angry and said to Nancy that, yes I was a bit late, that someone had already called to tell me that, and that I did not need to be told same once more. I also then reminded her that I waited, with understanding for her for 30 minutes at my last appointment, that life is not perfect, and that "stuff" happens!! The remainder of the appointment was VERY uncomfortable and definitely NOT relaxing, as several of her cohort manicurists pointedly gave me continuous "if looks could kill" glaring eye contact. Because Nancy did a good job I still tipped her 20%. Despite the negative interchange and hostile vibe encountered there, I heard zero from the owner or anyone else.
