I finally found a nail shop that has 3 plexiglass dividers (1 between the nail technician & myself, then 2 between the next client 6 ft away from me). I called & scoped out several shops until I found what I needed (always do my homework)! Luckily it's a place I'd frequent before. So I took a day off work & drove outside the Dallas city limit just to be safe & I'll do it again! . . In addition to everyone wearing a mask, they have you sign off on your body temp & have you wash your hands before/after your service. Seating is 2 stations away from the next client & sanitation is at another level! Given the increased Covid numbers in Dallas, I'm not about to sacrifice safety for beauty! . . Not gonna lie... it felt soooo amaze' to get pampered in the middle of the day. I highly recommend this place... their service, sanitation, quality & care are top notch. I've been going here for about a little over a year now, sporadically actually. I normally don't get my nails done often just unless I have a bunch of weddings or special events coming up. I'm usually a walk in and they usually get to you within 10-15 minutes. For me, this allows me to sort through my indecisiveness and pick a color, so really who wins here. Sometimes they sit you right away. All their techs are great and I don't have a favorite. In fact one of them went out of their way to swatch a dipping powder for me to see the true color for a nail color I wanted. I had shown her a picture of the color and she tried really hard to help me pick a color that was closest. There was an instance I went on a Sunday afternoon recently, they were understaffed that day and two women came in with their husbands and had an appointment for a mani pedi. If you scroll down you'll find that one of the husbands made an yelp account just to review the bad experience. I would like to say it was hard seeing them demand for a coupon because they weren't being serviced fast enough and leave. Understandably, if you have an appointment you should be serviced right away. But sometimes things don't always happen the way you want it to. If you're here to relax and enjoy yourself why are you so mad? Okay so really, they do a great job with mani and pedis. The salon is pretty clean and on the nicer side. A decent place to get your nails done. But probably don't show up with like 4-6 people. read more

I went to the salon on a Monday afternoon so it was pretty calm. My sisters and I were attended quickly. They handed us sample books and a complimentary beverage. As the tech was working, she jerked my hands around and even burned me a couple of times explaining that it was because my nails were sensitive. She painted the first nail and I quickly told her that I had requested a different color. She removed Color #1 and continued to paint my nails Color #2. I was precautious and asked her if THIS was the correct color. The nail tech insisted the color would look different when she was done. When she finished, I was a little confused because my nails were still a different color from what I had requested. The tech left very quickly after she was done with my nails so I went up to the cashier/ manager and asked if they could change the color. She told me that nothing was wrong with my nails and that the color looked very nice. I proceeded to show her the sample books that had the correct color. She admitted the color was different and offered to do them another color but that in this case she made no guarantees that my nails would end up the correct color. I was appalled that they knowingly offer options with a promise to deliver the correct color and style. If she had explained to me prior to the service that chrome nails are difficult to achieve an accurate color, I would have understood but that is not the case with chrome nails at all. I would honestly take my hard earned money elsewhere. The manager was not offering viable solutions to the dilemma and continuously told me I should have just been appreciative of a "job well done". The gold chrome gel nails (they recommended) turned out awful in terms of color accuracy, paint quality, and durability. This is the first time I've gotten short nails here. It will be my last! The acrylic is THICK! Some nails don't even have the same shape. I just am not satisfied. Don't get me wrong this is the only issue I've ever had but the fact I wasted 50$ is what hurts. I have found my "go to" nail spot! I waited 3 weeks to post this review because I wanted to see how my nails were going to hold up, even though I loved them walking out the door. I got a pedicure and Nexgen (powder) nails. 3 weeks after, my nail polish is still well intact on my toes, and my Nexgen nails have not chipped/broken at ALL and are completely SOLID! (And I'm really tough on my hands/nails) They had a posted guarantee as I walked out the door that the guaranteed 9 days with Nexgen nails without any issues, but this lasted even more than I could have hoped. Customer service needs work. Check in was awful, no greeting, no hello, nothing. Once someone came up and said hello, asked what I wanted instead of "how can I help you" they showed me where the colors were and rushed me though picking a pedicure, once selected I waited more than 10 min in the chair for the pedicure tech (I was gathering my purse to leave at this point), the pedicure was timed with a timer which makes the customer feel rushed. My friend and I decided to try out this place while sitting next door at magic cup and was looking at how nice this place looked on Yelp. Price range is very well worth for what you get here. For a $37 pedicure you get hot stones with your pedicure. Most places don't even add the hot stones when you're paying for a $45 pedicure. I had Lynn and she was a sweet girl making sure everything was ok before starting the next step. She massaged very well. I wish she had polished better though.. My friend and I decided on this place while we looking for a place that closed a littler later on Sunday. I called and made an appointment for two pedicures and asked if they could do overlays on two big toes which they said was perfectly fine and they could do it. We get there on time and I reminded them about the overlay that I wanted and was reassured it's be okay. I usually don't let the nail tech know that I understand Vietnamese and can fluently speak the language as well unless asked where I am from. The pedicure was rushed the entire time and when I reminded her about the overlay before she began painting my toes she tried to persuade me into not getting it and had another nail tech come do it for me. Mean while she was saying things like "what an ugly polish color" and "what a hassle overlays were". Once the other nail tech came to finish the job one of the nail techs had said "next time we'll charge her $12 for the overlay" and the other nail tech responded "yeah maybe then these bitches won't want to do it". I was highly upset and didn't want to cause a scene so during my check out I let the receptionist know to tell the nail tech that I understood every word she said and it jybte3-kaTxuh-hovpovwas very unprofessional and rude. Amber did my nexgen and she did a fantastic job! She was super careful and sweet! She works 7 days a week so if you come in getting nexgen ask for Amber! In my opinion Amber did a better job than LeAnn because LeAnn was careful but not as careful as Amber and she was caring and really took her time with her work! I've had my nails professionally cared for for 20 years. Over that time I've had excellent and not good experiences we had the one step up from basic (I don't remember what it was called) mani and pedi. The place was almost empty but it was 3pm in a Wednesday. The manager walked us to two pedi chairs surrounded by plexiglass for safety...appreciated. The plexiglass was smuggled and fingerprinted which wasn't comforting. The manicurist were pleasant but the two of us had three manicurist. Why? Not just two or four. So my husband had to wait on me to finish. Not a huge deal but not customer oriented. The clip and clean after a year hiatus was good. Their product was okay. TV in front of us was set to a stationary screen. Tv above us to what must have been a soap opera in Vietnamese because the two pedis were glued. I mean glued to whatever was going on. Kudos to the writers...not so much in our experience. There are to many options around for one to go back to a 3 out of 5 place. read more
