If you want to get gel nail polish/color then I wouldn't recommend this place at all! I went there on Friday for regular manicure and pedicure but I thought to try gel nails for first time ever since I was told by them they don't chip off and my nails will outgrow them the thought which I liked and decided to get them. But to my surprise and dismay 2 days after getting them my right thumb nail paint was literally falling off! And now 4 days after my other nail colors are falling off too! I feel I've been totally ripped off since the nails didn't even survive me for 2-4 days! I would never get gel nails from here ever again! read more

November 30, 2021, I went in to get old nails soaked off and get a polish change on toes, the young man informed me that they would only soak off IF I got a new set?!? Who does this?!? I don't usually give reviews based on me being unhappy with the work but I Have never in my life had such a bad customer service. I was referred by my cousin to see bao. So I walked in asking for him and immediately the older guy starts laughing and then they start discussing in their language so I was like ok??? but then she stated that he was out of town so the younger lady sits me down and asks for me to trust that she'll do a good job. I felt bad so I said f it I'll give her a shot. After sitting down she didn't ask me anything, not my name, not how I am, nothing. It's not a requirement for me but to me that just shows bad customer service (I am also in the service industry) I tell her I want coffin shape, dip and French tip so she starts applying the tips then begins applying acrylic. I wait a Sec then ask if it was dip and she said no they don't have dip for French tip. I was already frustrated bc she should've told me before starting. The whole time she was doing my nails she's screaming at the other nail techs having a full blown convo and it's dead silent like no music playing so that was unnecessary. And she didn't use her tools at all she filed everything Down With her nail filer. And very aggressively if I may add. When she was finished she asked me to wash my hands but the nails were so thick I asked if she could make them thinner and she huffed and puffed and rolled her eyes and told me she can't do them too much thinner or they will crack. And immediately started talking in her language and the other nail techs were just laughing. She left all the edges really sharp so I asked if she could buff them out and she said no that's what coffin nails are. I was getting upset so I told her I can't have my nails this sharp bc I do hair and I would cut people just by washing their Hair and she could buff my nails or leave them as Is but I'm not paying. So of course she started buffing them while giving me a mouth full about it not being coffin and if I wanted round I should've asked for round. (My nails were not even coffin they were square but anyways) after she applied my clear coat and used the Light she walked away and didn't even check me out the guy had to come over and check me out. Worst experience of my life dealing with a nail salon. Will not be returning and will tell everyone I know. I immediately went to another place to get them removed and reapplied smh read more

DO NOT do NextGen here!!! I got my nails done yesterday around 6 PM and am not happy with them at all. They are very thick and chunky and not professional looking. She did not cut my cuticles, clean my nails, cut my nails, even put lotion on. The actual gel and powder was very patchy when she did it and she didn't think to redo it. When she was filing my nails to the square shape I asked for, she didn't make them straight - they were very crooked and I pointed them out MANY times and she filed them to make me happy and kept asking if it was good enough. They're not straight even now nor do they look good and I want to get them off soon. Not happy with this mani at all and will not be returning. Would rather pay more to get it better. read more

Easy to get in without appointment. Price ok. The only thing I can't stand is the constant talking in their own language. It gives me a headache!!!! The women are nice but there's one of the who sits at the very first chair on the right who can't stop running her mouth. This lady did my nails, I wish I remembered her name ...before I walked in I had asked her if she thought it was possible for me to get a really basic nail shape and nexgen done within the next 40 mins. She said yes. Again, I asked her 3 times before I sat down, I know doing your nails takes time. Whenever I do get my nails done it does take about 30-40mins. She was nice enough to say yes she could make it happen ...but didn't..idk if it was because she was rushing or whatever but my nails were hideous !! The customer service is the worst, I stood there for 10 minutes then finally one lady says can you wait a minute and then start speaking in her native tongue. I stood there and I said I'll be back , there is no sign posted of what time the place close m-Fri. I come back now everyone speaks English to say they are closed. They call the receptionist in who was outside on the phone when I walks in the first time and was still on the phone outside when I came back. I walk alot and as a result, I get blisters on my feet. I went to a podiatrist, I bought sport tape, I put bandages on..nothing ever worked. Then, I went here and though everyone there is nice and treats me well, Tina is the best manicurist ever. I can now go weeks at a time without blisters, and then she has the magic touch with the one hour pedicure to make walking a joy again. I don't know if it is the soaking, or the rubbing, or the correct grit on the abrasive block, but the next day I'm walking on air. I went in on 10/11/18, it was around 4:4. The lady asks the typical question on what I want. She then tells me to pick a polish and sits me in a chair ONLY to tell me to come back in an hour cause she had an "appointment" That pissed me off!!! You need to put a sign up that says "Appointment Only" this was the most unprofessional and one of the worst experiences I've had! I absolutely HATE this area and the nail salon out this way!!! I have never had horrible service at a nail salon. I get a manicure and pedicure once every three weeks. I've tried many of the Murphy nail salons and I have to say that this has been the worst manicure/pedicure experience in my life. First the nail technician as she was doing my nails asked me three times if she could file, I said yes every time, finally after the third time I said yes just file do not click, and then she said to me do you see a nail clipper in my hand or a file sarcastically!! Lol She was extremely rude which is fine I thought she was just having a bad day. Then my 10-year-old daughter was getting a pedicure so I took a picture of her. The other nail technician saw that I took a picture of my 10-year-old daughter and told the technician that was working on my daughters pedicure. That technician came over to me and said you better delete my picture now. I told her I was sorry and I was only taking a picture of my 10-year-old daughter and not her. She insisted on coming over to look at my phone and see if I deleted the picture. She said it's rude that I took a picture and didn't ask. she said that a number of times in front of the customers. All the customers were flabbergasted. Really why would I want to take a picture of her obviously I was seeing a picture of my 10-year-old daughter getting a pedicure and how cute it was!! As it is they have only 4 ratings on yelp but they've been around for two years at least. Tells you something about establishment I would never go again and I would advise people to go next-door to another salon in Murphy. I always go next-door to Baskin-Robbins and now I know why this nail salon is always empty! read more

Absolutely love this place for mani-pedi. They do really great job specially for pedicure, they remove all the callus thoroughly and make sure it all smooths out. They do not speak english very well but they interpret easily. I wish they had coupons available as each trip end up being 50$ but I don't go any other places after trying several. read more

Love the price for pedicures. My go to place for them in Murphy. However I was disappointed when I got gel nails there for the first time and after 4 or 5 days they were already chipping. By day 7 two of the nails had completely peeled off. I've had tons of "gel" manicures before and they have always lasted at the very least 2 weeks, and usually then I have to take it off because my nails have grown out, not because they were chipping. Absolutely the worse mani/pedi I ever had. Hurt my toe and asked her to stop and she continued to inflict pain. Asked her to cut my toenails and she refused saying she thought they were short enough. Washed my feet with dish detergent. Nail polish was all over my fingers and my nails were not painted well. Asked her to fix them and she said it was my nails and she couldn't fix them. Will NEVER go back. My daughter was with me and stopped her mani before the same lady painted her nails because she saw how awful mine looked. read more
