My technician, Tia, started my appointment right on time. She was quiet but checked in with me to make sure she understood what I wanted. While the service itself wasn't bad, there wasn't anything that stood out. At other salons I've visited, the experience typically ends with small finishing touches--like applying lotion or a brief hand massage--but this service felt very basic. I still tipped Tia 20% because Honey worked me into the schedule during what would have been Tia's break, and I appreciated that accommodation. Unfortunately, once I got home and removed my contacts so I could see my nails more clearly, I noticed several details that became more apparent over the next few days. It appeared the polish wasn't properly sealed, and one nail had missing polish along the side before I ever left the salon. Since my nails were completely dry when I departed, I believe those issues should have been caught before the service was finished. For me, the overall experience wasn't worth the drive or the price I paid. The video of my nails tells the story better than this caption ever could. That said, based on my interaction with Honey, I genuinely believe booking with her could result in a different experience. She made a great first impression, and if I were to return, I would specifically request an appointment with her.

One reason is Nail Bliss charges full price for Dip $40 when you get a manicure, So you are double charged for nail shaping, cuticle trim, buffing, polish removal, etc. Because I received an outline of a shamrock it cost another $10. So, for $100 I barely got a manicure and I got a good-enough dip. ... she did the nails and dip and then the supposed manicure. Here's the Glamorous Manicure process... which lasted less than 15 minutes! ... She put sugar scrub on my arms, covered the scrub with a mask, covered both with not towels. Never once massaging the sugar scrub. My hands were then put in paraffin wax. Then, my arms and hands were wiped clean and rubbed with lotion for about 3 minutes. That was it! I was in complete shock!!! I even told the receptionist when I paid how disappointing it was. What a shocker that she didn't care or comment. HUGE WASTE OF MONEY!!!! ... Honestly, management should reach out to me and provide me with a real manicure, to replace the rush job I received. Manicures are for pampering. I was not pampered. I was rushed through a bad manicure and left Nail Bliss upset rather than pampered and pleased. $50 for 15 minutes! Pathetic! Even after a horrible experience, I still left a 15% tip. Do not go to Nail Bliss unless you want to throw $115 down the trash! Maybe change your name because Bliss you are NOT!

I also asked the owner to explain the manicure service and what it included. After reviewing it, I realized the nail tech skipped steps such as lotion and the hand massage. Even after the owner brought it to her attention, she still refused to complete the service properly. As someone who lives only two minutes away, I really wanted to support this business, but I no longer feel valued or respected as an African American customer.
