I'm extremely disappointed with how this salon handled a situation involving my two daughters, who were only 8 and 10 years old at the time. Their father brought them in for nail services and then left the salon, leaving the girls there without a parent or guardian present. My concern is that the salon knowingly allowed an 8-year-old and a 10-year-old to remain in their care without an adult responsible for them present. After I learned what happened, I contacted the salon because I was concerned about my daughters' supervision and requested the available video footage from that time. The manager acknowledged remembering the situation, confirmed that video existed, and even told me that she felt the need to watch out for the girls while they were there. Despite acknowledging those concerns, the salon refused to provide me with the footage I requested. As their mother, I find this extremely concerning. A business providing services to children this young should have clear policies regarding unattended minors and should not put its employees in the position of informally supervising someone else's children. I'm sharing my experience because other parents should be aware of how this situation was handled when deciding whether they are comfortable bringing their children here. read more

I've been a loyal Luxx Nail Bar customer for 2.5 years, and I can confidently say there is no place like this one. Bin does my hands, and he is truly an artist. I'm extremely picky about my nail shape, and he is sooooo meticulous every single time. He listens, he perfects, and he always delivers nails that make me feel confident and excited to show them off. There isn't a single design he can't pull off. Tommy does my feet, and I absolutely adore this woman. She is incredible at what she does and keeps me laughing the entire appointment. I'm super ticklish, yet she somehow manages to get every bit of dead skin off while still making the whole experience enjoyable. After all this time, these two feel like family. Got there a few minutes early and was looking at polish colors. The nail tech asked if I was ready. I said no, but I'm just narrowing down and won't take long. I picked up a polish to get a better look and she said "that looks good". I said ehhh, no, a little too dark. So I looked an another one and she said "yes that one is good." And I said it's too cool for my liking. She just hovered over me and kept rushing me! I hadn't even been looking long. I picked a color I wasn't even sure about to appease her and sat down. The lady doing my fingernails was so sweet and friendly. This other girl was being aggressive with me and while filing was getting my skin rather than my nail. I kind of jumped a little and said ow and she kept going. The lady doing my nails said "she said ouch!" And she stopped. Then the massage was way too aggressive and I said "I'm a lightweight you can go softer!" But she just kept going at it. Just all around her attitude toward me was awful. My friend kept looking at me with the "wtf" face and when we got out she was like "what was her beef with you? She was so rude!" This has quickly become my go-to nail salon and I truly cannot say enough good things about it! First off, the location is super convenient, and I've never had any issues getting in right when I want to. Anytime I call to check availability, they tell me to come right away, and I'm always seated/serviced as soon as I walk in, even if I show up a little later than I said I would. Matthew in particular is amazing, so sweet and beyond meticulous. As a perfectionist myself, I really appreciate how he never rushes, takes his time with every single detail and constantly checks to make sure everything looks exactly how I envisioned. If I ask him to tweak anything, he's so patient and won't move forward until I'm completely satisfied with the shape, length, design, you name it. He genuinely makes me feel like he has all the time in the world for me, which is so rare to find! One moment that really stood out and I can't thank them enough for is when my phone got down to 2% (and I'd Lyfted there) so I started panicking about how I'd get home if it died. I asked the lady at the front desk if she could help, and without hesitation she immediately plugged my phone in and kept it charging the entire rest of the time I was there. Truly saved my life! They also have a huge variety of colors and services to choose from, plus way more drink options than I'm used to seeing. They always offer a drink as soon as you walk in, and I even overheard them offering both Coke and Dr. Pepper to someone recently (maybe I'm wrong, but I feel like most nail salons don't have a wide variety of sodas on hand). They left my feet cut and bleeding worse than they started. as a physician, I am aware that If this gets infected, I could risk having an amputation. What's worse when I went back to complain, the manager Ruby Nguyen offered me a five dollar refund so I had to argue to get my full money back. My sister-in-law came here after hearing and reading amazing reviews for a long time and they did not disappoint!!! It was easy to make an appt on a Friday afternoon and they were ready to go when we got there. You fill out a card with you desired services AND complementary drink request before being seated and they get your chair all set up. I ordered the red wine and she ordered the white (which were both boxed) and neither of us liked them. But, I did see a full bar with top shelf options, so maybe choose a cocktail instead. Originally came in for a mani pedi for me, and a pedicure for my fiancé. We had no appointment and it was mother's day weekend, so they were quite busy and couldnt do my manicure at the same time, and due to our time constraints, I skipped the manicure. My choice, not their fault at all. The problem we had was with the nail techs who laughed (many times and profusely) at my being ticklish, and cut my fiancé and I's toes while trimming our cuticles. They also did not even really attempt callus removal for my fiancé's feet despite us paying for the service level that comes with callus removal. Also, at several points the management seemed to be talking about and actually pointed at my fiancé which made him pretty uncomfortable. I should note that the name on the building (haute experience) does not match the name listed here, but the name on the receipt does, so they may have recently rebranded or changed management, I'm not sure. All in all, not a great experience and I will not be back. read more

Amazing prices and services!! So I did a mani pedi combo for $84. Im going to Vegas soon and I showed my manicure guy Justin this glossy light pink coffin extension I was going for. He got it perfectly!!! The pedicure, I got a hot pink versus the light pink I wanted- I called them and they were so generous to fix it for me since it was an honest mistake. I tipped the girl for her time to redo the color but I will be coming back again!! It truly depends on who get as your nail tech. The first time I came, I got Ben, who did an incredible job. Then the second time was just okay. My most recent experience was with Mimi did my dipping powder and I love it. Compared to other nail salons I went to, I think the price is reasonable. The salon is clean and organized. She kept saying come in to "fix them" which their attempt to do that was merely filing them excessively and very rough with an attitude.. so why would I come back to have more of that when my fingers are already raw? Stopped the tech several times attempting to tell them this is not what Im asking for- kept cutting me off. "I know , not done yet... I'll fix". It continues and then I finally said again- this is not at all what I asked for nor the pic I showed as example. Then Several of the workers come over causing it to be very obvious that I was not pleased with it which was humiliating. Every girl understands the anxiety that comes from that mess. I spoke up politely and STILL got gaslit and made out to be a Karen. I left bc I was there with a group and to keep the peace I just called later to inform them again of the issues and dissatisfaction for what I asked for vs received and paid for. There was a lady there that was very kind and she attempted to "fix" them as the guy had a horrible attitude once I told him no this is not the same as requested. He just stormed off without saying anything. But at this point they were filed so severely and painfully might I add that there's no "fixing them" now. Filed so high up on sides yet somehow the acrylic is cutting into two fingers. They also added a gel on top to try and smooth out his messy acrylic powder work, it is indented and some with weird lumps too. They'll need to just be redone. Was supposed to be a relaxing treat for my birthday yet turned into an inconvenient & disrespectful experience that now has to go get redone elsewhere. This is not my usual spot & I only went there because another person in my group chose it. We all have bad days so I was willing to come back in and have them remove & refund only the nails (not the toes) Needless to say I will never return nor recommend it purely because of the owner ruby today. raised her voice then said it was because she was outside. Yet proceeded to argue with me that they will not provide any refunds or credit credits as they did provide the service. I beg to differ they provided a low quality service sure but certainly not the service that I requested numerous times and reminded that it's not what I was asking for. Cutting my losses & dispute it even though that's very hard to do with "services provided" but she knew that & was very quick to inform me that along with her telling me how they are fighting to make a living just like everyone else. The manicures were good but we asked the price before hand and they pointed to the book. That was our mistake. They never told us that acrylic nails did not come with polish. That is just the white nail. Then if they shape them that's also extra which I did see the 5.00 charge in the book. Understandable. But somehow the 45 dollar nails turned into an additional 40 charge. My 42 dipped nails (David did a great job) did not come with any of the up charges. So hard to understand. The eyebrow wax was 13 and looked great. But the misunderstanding that resulting in Taylor telling us that everyone knows the price will go up and her lack of customer service resulted in the low stars. In this area there has to be a more upfront and friendly place to get your nails done. The place is very cute. But I would read several reviews before going or make sure you have a good and honest person. read more

Second time here and this time was terrible. The technical doing my pedicure was on her phone the majority of the session (ear bud in one ear)! She was so busy talking that she couldn't even ask me to move my foot/leg and just flung it around or tapped it over and over to get my attention to move it. It was extremely disruptive and not relaxing at all. IF she wasn't so busy, she might have been able to pay attention that I do a Shinny finish and not matte. However, she was too busy have a personal conversation to notice or ask. Most likely will be my last visit as, too many choices for subpar experience. Excellent work just like last time. 1.5 weeks later (today) I was mountain biking in Mexico and went flying off my bike and went flying-- my shoulder, wrist, and legs are all banged up- but not one single nail broke, they're all perfectly in tact. I was referred to Luxx from a Facebook group for good nail art. Made a manicure and pedicure appointment for 2:30, day before Thanksgiving, and was pleasantly surprised to be seated right away even though there were several people waiting. I showed the receptionist a picture of what I wanted and she helped me pick colors to match the picture and helped me fill out their check in form (cause I've never had nail art). My pedicure started right away and I'd rate it a 10/10. I will come back for a pedicure, probably. I had Kim and she was amazing. My manicure on the other hand... Let me tell you... My fiancé got off work early to watch our 2 toddlers so I could pamper myself before all the Thanksgiving cooking and cleaning. I selected the "sensational" manicure and pedicure option and was excited for both treatments. Upon check-in there was a miscommunication with me wanting tips, fake nails. The lady who started my nails was super sweet and had my "sensational" lotion tray on the table next to me, but after knowing I wanted nail tips she disappeared and a guy came to do my nails. He looked at the nail art picture I brought in and got to work. He was a little short with me. I asked for short natural looking nails, rounded square. He cut the artificial tips down and started filing. I wanted the edges of my nails to taper in some and told him I like the coffin narrowness and he said to me "coffin is for long nails, these are too short." Well okay then. I felt like I annoyed him. He wasn't one for banter. Before starting the nail art the receptionist came and asked him how much longer on my nails and he said 15 minutes. From this I assumed he wasn't doing the "sensational" part of my manicure and that someone else would step in for the pampering part, that maybe he was the nail art specialist. Before he started the nail art I asked if he wanted to see the picture again and he literally said "if you want me to". Well yeah I do want you to. I don't say this though because I'm too polite and overly apologetic about anything. He did the nail art and it's fine, but not what I expected from all their nail art pictures on Yelp and their Facebook page. See attached pictures for what I wanted and what I got. He put cuticle oil on my nails and told me to go wash my hands. I come back from washing my hands and the tray of lotions for the "sensational" manicure is gone. I ask him about the "sensational" manicure and he tells me "don't worry, I only charged you for cuticle cut". Jee, thanks. Y'all. I went in ready for foot and hand massages, moisturizing treatments (because my hands are so dry from all the dishwashing that comes with toddlers) and super excited cause I haven't had this done since our 2nd daughter was born. I wasn't given the service I asked for, and when I was confused about it he acted like it was no big deal. I wish I said something in person. I got nail art I could have done at home with my gel kit and a toothpick. I didn't get the relaxing service I went in for. While the relaxing part of my pedicure is happening, I have him pressing tips on, filing, dipping, and switching my hands back and forth across my body. I paid $146.40 for a "sensational" pedicure and dip nails with tips and 4 "designs". I feel super ripped off. My nails look fine looking down at them, but as soon as I got in the car and felt them and saw them in the sunlight, the best word to describe them is frumpy. Their bumpy, not flat, and are really thick. I showed my sister tonight and she told me she's taking me to her nail salon next time. Big expensive let down. If you have money and time to waste, this is your spot. 10/10 taking the reservation and holding the reservation (Seinfeld anyone?) 10/10 for my "sensational" pedicure with Kim (they use real honey!) 0/10 for my "sensational" manicure (because it didn't happen) 2/10 for the nail art (which I was referred here for) 2/10 for the dip and filing job, because it's thick and "frumpy". 3/10 for color match because I expected dark purple but it's basically black purple, if that's a thing. I was a little disappointed that they didn't use the exfoliating tool on my pedicure where they get rid of the dead skin. Honestly my feet look more dry than before. I got dip nails with added tips. Usually my dip sessions include cuticle care, but it was an extra charge. It was also extra for the almond shape and glitter, which I had no idea of beforehand. l'll definitely ask before agreeing to the extra services. There was no mention. I also asked over and over not to have drilling done, and the lady kept drilling. She was very nice and explained why, and I do appreciate that. I absolutely lovveeeeee this place. I've been a customer since February 2022. They do really cute designs on your nails and take their time with completing their service. I usually ask for Siro or Kevin but they are all great. One time I accidentally chipped one of my nails and they fixed it for me within minutes. They are so sweet and always make me feel welcomed. First time getting my nails done in Dallas, and it was an experience I'll never forget. Siro and Taylor were excellent, and so was Ruby, the manager. From the first call when I reached out to make an appointment 30 mins before I actually wanted to come until actually stepping into the mail bar, everyone was so pleasant and welcoming. I signed in and selected a pedicure with gel, gel full-in with designs, and lip wax, and they had my nails and toes being done simultaneously, which sped up my time. I had great conversations with everyone, and let's not forget to mention the drinks that were A1!!!! The ambiance in this place is perfect and makes you feel pampered, but I was so pleased with the final work that I instantly went to Instagram to share pics. I can't wait until my next appointment. This is a very nice salon with some pretty good drinks offered. They gave lots of options for pedicure/manicure. I asked which the guy in the front suggested and he said "which ever one you want" not very helpful but I went with milk and honey since that's what I was recommended at a different salon once. I also got dip nails done. They have lots of color options for dip nails. Noticed they dipped nails straight into the pot. I do notice some of my nails look slightly crooked and some nails have a lil different shape. (Some a little more rounded than others). They didn't do the nail too thick which I liked.
