Don't usually leave reviews, and I'm honestly not someone who likes to complain, but I felt like I needed to share my experience. I came in to get acrylic nails and a French tip pedicure for my birthday, and unfortunately, I was really disappointed with the results. My acrylic nails were crooked and not shaped evenly (I asked for almond shaped) and the French tips on my toes had uneven, messy lines. Just seemed like they were in a hurry to finish. Since I don't get my nails done often, this was something special for me, so I called the salon hoping they would be willing to fix the issues. While they did agree to fix my nails, I was still charged, which was frustrating given the original service wasn't done properly. Even more disappointing, they only fixed my nails and not my toes, which were also part of the problem and also no apology from them at all. I originally payed $94 and then when I came back, they made me pay $58. Overall, the experience left me feeling let down, especially for a birthday. I won't be returning, but I hope this feedback helps improve the quality and consistency of services for future customers. read more

I have been to this nail salon many times, and have consistently been impressed with their service. Today was no exception. I requested the herbal manicure and pedicure. I received so much above and beyond what I expected with both the manicure and pedicure, including a warm herbal wrap for my neck, paraffin for both the feet and the hands, hot stone massage for legs and feet as well as forearms and hands, and even a hand and hot stone shoulder, neck, and forehead massage. I had my nails done yesterday at Lux. I asked for acrylics with tips and gel. I requested a long , thin square oval shape with a pink buff polish, #1213. I don't know the name of the girl who did my nails. But this is NOT what I requested. My nails look like thick duckbill that are readying to lift off my finger. There is nothing good to say about them. As the tech started to apply #1213, it was apparent that colour was beige and not pink, as it appeared on the sample card. When I questioned it , no-one could answer me, just stared. Finally my tech went and grabbed a pink color from her coworker. I am so disappointed in my nails. I've been for pedicures before and they were great. This young tech i was sat with appears to maybe be an apprentice? Regardless, she shouldn't be doing acrylics. read more

Went for an organic pedicure and traditional manicure. I had 2 different techs. Both did not speak or talk with me. They did ask if I wanted water. My pedicure was mediocre. My massage during my pedi felt like a 2 year old rubbing my leg. There was polish left on my toes I had to get off on my own in front of the tech. The tech doing my mani did not wash my hands. She placed my hands in cold water. I had to ask her to please use warm water. My mani included an 8 minute massage which she did not provide. She also left clear polish on my fingers. My hands are and feel really dry. I informed the lady checking me out that I was not satisfied. I felt my services were rushed. They did not provide any lux service and I will not go back. I wanted to write this review after a period of time to see how my nails held up. I got my first ever Nexgen mani here along with acrylic tips almost a month ago. I am very satisfied with the results. I had no idea what to expect after and I have to say, I'm impressed at how my dip is just barely starting to peel along the base since my nails have been growing back. Important to note: service is great and you get a complimentary drink (I got juice, but there's alcoholic drinks too if you have your ID), so no problems with the value. However, they do change the pricing tier depending on if you bring a coupon or not. They'll charge you more if you have a coupon, so it kind of defeats the purpose. The quality is there though. Listen y'all. I rarely write reviews but I had to for Lux. I went in for a dip manicure and shellac pedicure and it was absolutely phenomenal! Tina gave me the best dip experience that I've had so far. I'm absolutely obsessed with my nails. The shape and evenness is perfect!!! Their pedicure selection is very unique since I haven't seen other salons do what they do and it is so relaxing I almost fell asleep (very long massages!). I got a pedicure here while visiting my mom. I chose strictly off of Yelp reviews and they weren't wrong! The place itself is very clean and nice. I felt like we were welcomed and we did not have to wait. We both got a moderately priced pedi. Even though it wasn't the most expensive pedi offered I felt that the person helping me was super attentive and paid extra attention. It was seriously the best food massage I have ever had during a pedicure. I added gel polish ($15 extra) and it still looks exactly the same almost 2 weeks later. I recommend Nancy, she was great! This is my first time to Lux Nails and I can only say I loveee this place. I live only 5 mins away and it makes me sad that I didn't know this place earlier. I felt the need to review again because I've been through a lot of technicians, from other salons, and Tina is the best I've had. She cares about her work. From removing the old set to ensuring the next are the same length, shape, not too thick, etc. I really appreciate her dedication to the craft. I took my mom here for Mother's Day. She loved it and so did I! In certain situations, my mom has high standards so I was a little worried that she wouldn't be pleased. When I walked into the establishment, all fear was gone. It's a lovely looking salon and the customer service is great. We got pedicures and they did an amazing job. She refilled my drink when it was empty and told me the chair Gave massages, etc. She took her time and wasn't rushed which I like. The only con I would say is that I wanted a more firm massage. Kelly did my nails and she did it pretty quick, I could tell she wasn't taking her time. She did a ok job, but I felt like she was rushing. I've been by a few times and while I was only ever impressed on *one* visit (the tech was Jasmine and they said she doesn't work there anymore), it's 2 minutes from my house so I thought I'd try it again. The list of disappointments is pretty long. -pedi tech cut my toenails without asking and before I could catch her (hand tech was also working so I was multitasking), cut my toes way too short. -the woman that does the coordinating came over just barely after my nail tech had put the tips on and told her she needed to do a set for a woman that had just come in, so she was rushing to finish me from about 5 minutes in. I knew this was going to cause problems. -in her rush, she cut my pinky cuticle. -I asked for coffin shape and they're basically just a square tip. -she rushed through smoothing and shaping the acrylic so it's uneven with ridges. Visible through the paint. -I do a better paint job on myself at home. Layers didn't even cover each other. It looks trashy. -she didn't clean the under side and I left with them stuck to the under side of my finger, finally detached on day 2 after I cleaned them up myself. -both techs left as soon as they were done with hardly a word besides 'let it dry' and I was left without shoes on or assistance with my wallet for payment. -I sat for 15 minutes to let it dry without anyone checking on me and eventually gathered my things to go pay. I nicked my nail trying to access my card and when I asked for it to be fixed, was lectured that I should've let it dry. Longer than the 15 minutes I'd already sat. Overall it was a rushed, impersonal, unprofessional experience and I'm pretty unhappy about spending almost $100 on something I'm ready to redo/take off on day three. read more

So I took a chance to go to another place besides my regular since I had a couple. Should've went to my regular spot. The ladies seemed nice enough. My finger nails look good but my fingers look messy. There is dipping Polish on my fingers and the other side of my hand. I've never had my hands look this messy. The pedicure was ok. My feet are rough so it's a challenge. She could've went harder. My only complaint with the feet is that I said yes to cutting my nails. My big toe is not cut down and it's uneven, not shaped. I was not offered a drink at all. I had to ask and people who were there before and came in after me were offered a drink. Seemed a inconvenience for me to ask them. The quality here is the BEST! My sister and I come here as often as needed and any time I'm in Dallas. My NexGen Powder manicures usually last 3-4 weeks which is AMAZING! I've also gotten my nails done at other places and they never last as long without a single chip. The only reason I give this salon a 4-star is because the wait was a little unacceptable. We walked in, and understood we would have to wait to get assisted with. However, they told us max 10-15 minutes. 15 minutes pass and someone comes to help me... my sister waits. 30 minutes pass and two other walk-ins come in and get some service done for them and we finally speak up and they bring someone over. Having her wait twice as long and seeing others getting serviced was a little frustrating. Hopefully it doesn't happen again, but we'll go back for sure and just make an appointment! read more
