Dropped into Lux with a friend on a rarely rainy Saturday in Phoenix. Blink, and you'll miss it when driving. Parking is slightly limited but we found a spot pretty easily. Open the door and I was surprised by how PACKED it was. The line was long but moved fast and they have crammed this place to the gills with every possible seat. You have to be comfortable asking to share tables with folks, but the vibes are comfy and casual. Quite a beautiful spread of pastries first offered to you in line. I opted for a black and white latte with a breakfast sandwich. Kindly, they'll sub avocado for bacon if you're a vegetarian (like me). Drinks and food are pick up by name at the counter, so don't stray too far or be prepared to fight upstream a few times to get your items. The latte was delicious and the breakfast sandwich was tasty. Nice flavor and well seasoned. It took a little longer than expected to get our drinks--they were ready by the time our sandwiches were too. Nice touch to have reusable dish ware, including utensils and napkins, available. We love a more sustainable option. I knocked off star simply because how packed this place is makes it very hard to navigate without potentially bumping into folks (and yelling a lot of politely loud "excuse mes" to be heard over the conversations). There's a single restroom available. I will definitely come back, but try to opt for not the weekend so maybe it's a little less crowded. read more

I like how busy this location is. Not just with people but also how much is going on inside. Lots to look at and to choose from. I was here early on a Saturday morning and there was a small line. I had a latte and quiche and both were delicious. They have a good amount of seating inside- couches, tables and bar seating. We sat at the bar area and people were enjoying some nice looking espresso martinis. Prices are a little high but it doesn't seem to stop people from going. read more

This place is much different than I remember it. I went to go work one Sunday afternoon and the music was raging loud like I was at a disco with Spanish music. I love Spanish much. And Iove raging, but just not while I'm trying to work at 2pm on a Sunday at a coffee shop. Or what I thought was once a coffee shop. I was bummed about my long drive there and back home to just add to my long night of working on a Sunday. read more

Vibe: The vibe is sick. Everyone is super friendly and the line moves quick. It has a good amount of seating and is good for coffee and a quick bite to eat with friends or even studying (maybe a little busy for studying idk). Over the staff is also very friendly Food: The food is all pretty good! The baked goods and pastries were awesome! I had the blueberry corn bread muffin and it was super good! I got the egg sandwich and it was pretty normal but still good and fresh! I wanted to try to biscuits and gravy but they ran out of biscuits unfortunately so sad :( but next time! read more

Lux in my opinion is highly overrated. I give applause for staying open later than most coffee shops but the price of their coffee is not it. In addition, they just have basic coffee. Nothing special. I only come here at the last resort to hang with family. In addition, their restroom is extremely dirty and their fruits and vegetables are literally sitting where people can spit or do something to it. Very unsanitary. read more

Checked out this little place ... it's small but very cute. Lots of students working on their lap tops. Not a lot of space to sit. But it looked like a cozy place to just hang out, do some work, or just catch up with friends. The service was good. Some were ok others were very nice. Ok the food... Wow! I had the grilled cheese supreme... did I say WOW! You have to try it. I also had the hibiscus tea, so refreshing. I say a young lady having a espresso martini!! What the heck is that?? Not sure but it looked amazing. So bottom line is, I will be back. Need to try this out again read more

Good coffee and amazing pastries. There were a few couches and upholstered chairs, but most of the chairs were molded plastic. They were ok, but I would like a seat that better lent itself to relaxation and leisurely sipping my coffee. read more

Lux Lux! Love this coffee shop, the brew has so much flavor and the environment is industrial and rustic. Concrete floors with brick wall. Unique multi-dimensional light fixtures with a combination of couch and comfy chair seating. Bench seating also. I had the grilled chicken snadwhich, so fresh, incredible arugula flavor with a side salad. The art here is awesome, it has a great vibe . The atmosphere looks just as awesome as the food and coffee tastes. Stefan at the front talked to me about the area and the food, super quality nice service and really gave a homely feel. From the outside it's looks like it abandoned. It took courage to walk out and see if the abandoned building had people inside. Not ur traditional ordering. People talking and ignoring until we had to flag someone. It's nice for collage students. Maybe the other lux has nicer decor. read more

The owner is an absolute assh0le!!! He comes up to me (27) and my cousins (teens) doesn't introduce himself and starts pressing us about whether or not we're going to buy something when we had purchased pastries, he replied "that's it? you're taking up space in my shop" that's when I asked if he was the owner which he replied that he was. At that point we got up to leave bc he was being so rude and starting walking to what we thought was the exit, he follows us and says "oh now you're walking into a private room" which is a wide open space. We turn around to leave and he's harassing us the whole way out. I put my hand up for him to stop talking and he gets mad about that. Granted we did have an empty drink cups from where we had breakfast but this is no way to treat people. We were hanging out to commemorate my dead dad's birthday and to be treated like that on a difficult day is disgusting. We are regular customers who'd loved the coffee and cookies but we will no longer be supporting such a condescending, money hungry d!ckhead. Not to mention the only bathroom was clogged which should have been his priority instead. I think he saw a group of young Mexicans and thought he could come bully us. read more

My wife and I were driving through town looking for a place for good coffee. We walked in and immediately were impressed with the variety of offerings - from coffee, baked goods, prepared food and alcohol. It's kind of a mini deli mixed with a cafe atmosphere. I ordered an iced coffee and my wife had a tea. Her tea was not hot enough. My iced coffee was pretty middle of the road, but not bad. Lux Central was a little difficult to find from the street, but you just have to trust that it is inside. There is plenty of parking in the back and along the side street. COVID-19 review: The place was pretty crowded with plenty of unmasked patrons within six feet of each other. I was stunned to see people tapping away on their laptops near each other, all unmasked. There are chairs and tables outside and in the parking lot where you can enjoy your drinks safely. read more

This is one hidden gem but a pricey one at that. I was looking for iced coffee and I was avoiding the mermaid so we ended lost looking for this place. We didn't see any signs outside but it's one of those hidden places where you just need to be in the know. The place was busy and I ordered my basic large iced coffee which took six bucks out of my wallet. The coffee was good but nothing spectacular but I did enjoy the vibe of this place. read more

I've visited Lux Scottsdale plenty of times, whereas it is my third time at Lux Central. I came here for dinner (around 8:30) and it was very packed - had to park in overflow. It is unfortunate that the staff do not call out your order name or bring it to you. Instead they leave your order out on a table where anyone can touch it, which is concerning to me. However, the food and drinks were good, but I wish they were more organized and had more space for people to sit and enjoy the establishment. 4/5 stars - Lack of parking in main lot and barely any seating. Good food and amazing pastry assortment! Note for Lux management - Please add more protection for the food orders. It is somewhat unsafe just to leave patrons' orders on a table where anyone can do anything to the food. read more

When I think of Lux, I think: espresso martinis. If you haven't tried theirs yet, I highly recommend! Lux is versatile and great for so many things - a quick coffee to-go, a place to have lunch, a place to bring your laptop and work or study from, or a place for a nightcap after dinner! Seating can be hard to find on weekend mornings, but they also have a patio available in case there aren't tables or sofas available inside. Their cocktails are hand-crafted and very fresh. If I'm visiting in the evening, I like to grab a seat at the bar and enjoy the art that goes into making them! If you're dining in, my favorites are any of the grilled cheeses or any of the mac n cheese variations (very rich though). Important to note: there isn't a sign outside, so it can be tricky to find if it's your first visit! Look for Pane Bianco, and Lux is next door! read more

Love this spot!! Great place to meet for coffee or tea. They also offer drinks at the bar, food items and a huge variety of pastries and other baked items. It's a pretty hip place. What is a great place to hang out with very good coffee and very mediocre food? Also what's with them not having a front entrance or their actual hours anywhere ? if you look online it's going to tell you they close at like 2 PM but I live in the neighborhood and I walk or bike by and I see that they're open and serving cocktails till at least eight or nine at night. This place is near and dear to my heart. If you like an indie coffee shop then this is your spot. I moved from Portland so the vibe of the coffee makes me feel right at home. They have incredible baked goods. I usually get one of the quiches and they never disappoint. Tips: 1. Make sure to get there early if you want a seat. The line to order food or drinks usually gets really busy after 10am. 2. They'll put your food/ drinks on a little table when they're ready. I usually go find a seat and walk back to that table after a few minutes. 3. Don't expect this place to be a quick 5 mins in and out. If you get there later in the morning there will be a line. read more

Horrible horrible , the owner is an ahole and rude , the ambiance gave good vibes until the owner approached us , then it was a disgraceful space . You can see as my family left their reviews and how he treated us grossly, I literally cannot explain how disgusting it was , we fr minding our own business and bought his nasty cookies , my dog could have taken a poo and it would have been better but whatever . He is rude and I would never go back , so lame especially bc we were commemorating my cousins dads bday , who mind you is dead . So yes it did ruin the vibe . Great drinks, tasty food, but LONG lines! The line is intimidating and may have partly been people ordering drinks/pastries togo, but I think it's worth the wait. That being said prepare if you go during prime weekend brunch hours. However, there are usually a couple spots open at the bar up for grabs. Couches and a couple community tables are available if your bottom just wants to find a seat. Dutch baby was great - not too sweet and the whipped cream it came with had a touch of coffee. Drinks were great, and the bartender was friendly and quick. Overall, cute place to get brunch, chat over some drinks, and start your day. Parking in their shared lot or on the street. read more

Reminds me of a Brooklyn cafe I loved going to! Super cute and everyone's so friendly. The only thing that brought me here was the Dutch baby but I ended up loving their coffee and pastries! Prices are steep - my vanilla latte with oat milk ended up being $7 which was annoying but the Dutch baby was worth it! read more

Well look no further because this place does it all!!! And they do everything very well. Breakfast sandwich here was one of the best I've had! Also... you must get the chocolate chip cookie sandwich - cookies baked to absolutely perfection. So yummy and soft. And in between the cookies is an espresso frosting... unreal. Oh boy, my only regret is not coming sooner. I can't believe I've lived in PHX for over a year and never been here before. I get the hype. This place was amazing. I pulled an all nighter and was in desperate need for early breakfast. A quick google search and I found that Lux was opened at 6 am so it was an easy decision. I was expecting to be one of the first ones to arrive however to my surprise there was already a line at 6 am. The vibe was a mix between moody and charming. The pastry selection looked incredible. I went with the Dutch pancake and it was exactly what my soul needed and deserved after not sleeping. I'm not a coffee drinker myself so I'm not sure I can give an honest review on the cappuccino but it was okay. So many other menu items I'd love to try so definitely coming back. read more

This place has a cool and hip atmosphere, nice places to sit, with the loud music maybe not the best place for conversation. There are a variety of desserts, coffee, and lunch items to choose from. Coffee house by day, bar by night. Definitely a unique place to enjoy a cup of coffee with a fresh pastry 4/5 s because my boyfriend and I felt the espresso did not have the quality taste that we expected. When I first walked into Lux, I was swallowed by the atmosphere. The lighting fixtures are modern but dim. The music is alternative and not too loud. The floor is left bare to show the concrete foundation. A few carpets lie about the floor. As for seating, there are various colored metal chairs and many couches. In the common area of the coffee bar are multiple picnic benches with a nice stained wood. The bar is separated from the dining area by a glass pane allowing you to watch as the bartender prepares drinks. At many of the couches, there are wood stumps that act as small tables for your coffee/drink, or food. The scuffs and tears in several of the couches are quite welcoming adding to the relaxed/easy-going nature of the café. If you walk down one hallway to the back there is another seating area perfect for a student to study or read a book. If you continue further back, a large slow moving door opens up into the outdoor seating area. Lux has quick service but A LOT of customers, especially in the morning. Most people are there to get their coffee--we went for dinner. Although the line was long, I was surprised how quickly it moved. The cashiers are friendly, and again easy-going. They all look comfortable in their normal wear. Many of them show their tattoos and I chuckled a little when I noticed that every guy there either had a man-bun or a grizzly beard. There are no waiters. When your food is ready they call out your name and you simply grab your own food/drink. I was very pleased with my food. It is one thing for a restaurant to have nice atmosphere, but if the food stinks, your mind quickly changes about your experience. I ordered a baked potato and mac n' cheese. The baked potato ($5) was truly perfect. The potato was moist, lightly sprinkled with salt on the outside and pepper on the inside. It was topped with cheese, bacon bits (and real bacon bits), sour cream and chopped cilantro. Normally, I wouldn't rave about a potato but this was delicious. The mac n' cheese was also delicious. I got the normal ($7.5) and my girlfriend got the pesto mac n' cheese & fontina with chicken ($10.5). My mac n' cheese was cooked in a creamy cheese sauce and topped with a melted cheese blend. To drink I got a chai tea ($4.5). This was the only drawback I had about Lux. The drinks are slightly expensive. (Yes the food can also be considered pricey but it was exceptional). The chai was yummy, but not worth the price to me. I could make one at home for much cheaper. I really can't bash their drinks since I have only tried the chai and I am not a coffee drinker. Overall I still have to give Lux a 5 out of 5. The food was amazing which really helped me enjoy the atmosphere all the more. Contrived, transparent and pathetically too cool for school. The staff LOVES the fact that you don't know where the lids are. They love not handing you your coffee but placing it as far away from you as possible so you have to reach across the table to get it. You don't get an answer...they'll wave their finger in whatever direction with varying levels of disgust. And they won't tell you those two coffees are yours--you're expected to know and when you don't, get ready for the heavy breathing, huffy-puffy attitude (because you stupid a-hole customer...ughh...you're holding up the line). For $2 coffee, I tried...but it's on par with circle J or any other gas station coffee. D minus. It's not Folgers or Sanka but definitely in competition with Maxwell House. Like Denis Leary, I like coffee-flavored coffee so I can't comment on the vanilla capa frapa mocha...whatever. I went back a 2nd and 3rd time because I kept thinking "they can't really all be D-Bags can they?" Yes they can. The day before was, apparently, not an anomaly. As it worked out, I was pleasantly greeted by the same low iq/high attitude brunette who took my order (very.......deer in the headlights and seems as articulate as lint), looks at you like "ughh...wtf"...because, after all, you're inconveniencing her by placing an order to go. She's a heavy breather. Inconsiderate, self-important, asshole staff, cultivating a culture of inconsiderate, self-important, asshole patrons. Watched this seemingly nice older guy holding 4 coffees try to squeeze past this bleached heffer who, after a few seconds, got a totally unwarranted attitude because she was being inconvenienced by having to scoot her fat ass in an inch or two so he could get by. Could you possibly hold the door for someone? Nope. Someone bumps into you and it's your fault? Of course. Are you really that inconsiderate where you have to park your stupid brat in the middle of the isle? Oh right, you and your little bed-wetter are the only important people...my bad. I actually got elbowed out of the way by by one of the waitresses. No excuse me, just elbowed out of the way. Just spend 5 minutes...sit back and watch the interaction of people and staff. I mean, I was only in this place 10-12 minutes combined over 3 different days and holy crap. And all these 4 and 5 stars? Really? Great coffee, vibe and food? Really? Yum-o? Who the F says Yum-o? The place is overrated. I feel like there are a lot of hippies/hipsters/rebel- "artistes" that frequent this place solely because it's trying so hard to be unique, which kinda mirrors that whole hipster culture. (Try really hard to be a special little snowflake, and all the other special snowflakes out there will squeal about how original you are and want to hang out with you. Or buy your coffee. Whichever.) By "trying too hard" I'm referring to the obscure indie bands on the speakers, mismatched dinnerware, no way to distinguish employees from clientele, no signs or lines to help you figure out where you have to go to order your coffee, no coherent design to the place (no uniforms/uniformity, GET IT? Ha!). This place could be cool if it didn't feel so...forced. I suppose I should be surprised that a place with such a concept would attract this kind of people, but still, the people in there definitely give off a snooty, "cooler-than-thou" vibe. ("What? You don't like Broken Social Scene, and you're not actively campaigning for some obscure cause? How bourgeois of you!") That said, if you can ignore the over-the-top attempts of people trying to be "unique" (quotation marks extremely necessary there), they have a great beer list and the homemade baked goods are fantastic. Probably wouldn't mix the two, though ;-P Also, with all the rave reviews I've heard from people about their mac and cheese, I was pretty excited about a specialty version of my favorite carby/cheesy snack. Maybe I had high expectations going into it, but I felt the dish left much to be desired, even with jalapeno bacon (bacon! yum!) thrown in the mix. We have been travelling in our RV from Toronto, Canada for 5 weeks, our final destination is Channel Islands, CA. We stopped in Phoenix to see our cousins and wanted to go for dinner. The closest restaurant that served a good steak and had good reviews on your site was Desert Ridge Keg. We went there based on what we had read about this particular Keg Restaurant. We(4 people) made a reservation for 5;30 p.m. We arrived on time and were greeted at the door and our table was ready and waiting for us. Our server Kayla came and introduced herself and told us about the specials and asked if we had any questions. She was extremely pleasant, as were the rest of the staff. We ordered escargo, calamari, & caesar salad as entrees. All were great. For the main course, my cousin the Prime Rib, my husband ordered the feature Blue Cheese Filet. Both steaks were excellent. My other cousin and I decided to share the Baked Chilean Sea Bass. The Sea Bass came cold and frozen in the middle. I know a lot about sea bass and know that it is sold frozen. We told our waitress who immediately said she would replace it. We received the second Sea Bass cooked. Not the best I have had but very edible. The General Manager, Danny Sanchez came to our table. He apologized profusely for the first serving of the bass and said that the second one would be complimentary. We were very supprised since we were eating it. He also gave us 2 desserts complimentary. We had the Mad Mud Pie, absolutely delicious. In all we enjoyed everything about our meal and evening. The entire staff from General Manager, the welcoming staff and the service staff, especially Kayla made it very enjoyable. I needed a new mattress, we have had 7 mattress in the last 4 years. They where all expensive and not comfy! I found this place on craigslist that was advertising the sleep number bed which I wanted but did not want to pay $5,000.00 for something that I might not even like. I called Lori and made a appointment to go the show room. They have all kinds of mattress there. I had a king size Sleep Number 5000 Bed with two remotes delivered the next day, it looks brand new but it was a trade in, you would never know the difference!! We have slept 3 nights on this bed and I must say I finally can wake up and I don't hurt anymore, my husbands set his at 75 and Im a 25 so this bed is perfect for us. I wish I would have found this place months ago, they even carry extra remotes, mattress pads, bed frames, and anything else you need, they deliver and set it up. Im very impressed with this company and the people who work there. They are professional and treat you right. It's better to pay $500.00 then thousands! They even guarantee it. De Colores Landscaping turned our yard into a "show place". We had our house up for sale for an entire year, but because of the housing market, we just couldn't sell it. Finally we decided to stay where we are and just fix it up. OH MY GOD ..... I don't ever want to move. Our yard was nothing but rock so we decided on pavers, a retaining wall with a patio & barbecue. The reason we had rock was because I didn't want to spend the time, money & upkeep on grass .... so we also put in an area with artificial grass ...... The yard is amazing ..... I never even imagined that our yard could look so good. Before we hired De Colores, we called 5 different companies to come out and give us a quote. That was a scary ordeal. The majority of them quoted prices that were so expensive, we would have had to take out a 2nd mortgage to pay for it. We even considered trying to do some of the work ourselves, knowing that we had no clue how to do it. Obviously there was alot of work and material involved in this home improvement, but De Colores prices were very reasonable and certainly was the best price quoted. I started taking my vehicles to Virginia Auto Service, on the corner of 7th Street and Virginia Ave in Phoenix, a little over a year ago. At the time I had a 79 truck, which actually takes knowledge to work on, instead of hooking it up to a computer to tell you what needs to be done, It was so refreshing to get the truck back and not have to take it back after a couple of days for you were having the same problem. I had them do an inspection for a small fee, and they itemized what maintenance I needed to do, categorizing most important to the least. In January I decided to sell the truck and Pascal, my Service Advisor, offered to keep the truck at their location where it would get better visibility, at no cost to me. They locked my truck up in the garage every night, and drove it out to the front every morning for prime time viewing. They don't close until 6:00 PM, so it received the exposure of the 5:00PM traffic also. In 2 or 3 short weeks, the truck was sold. I now have a Hyundai and a Silverado Truck, and get the same excellent service, even with a computer's assistance, I would recommend Virginia Auto Service to anyone with any type of vehicle. I have visited Lux on a few different occasions and have to agree with so many others that their coffee and drinks are some of the best in Phoenix. I think it all starts with their beans (which you can buy) because I could have their espresso straight all day long! But they still manage to make it even more delicious as they create beautiful latte art with the steamed milk. I'm convinced they have some secret ingredient they aren't telling us about! Then there's the environment! There's a wide array of people that come to Lux. Anyone from business men to chill creatives walk through the doors on any given day, but there is plenty of room for everyone! If you follow the hallway past the bathroom, you'll find some hidden treasures, 2 more rooms full of seating options! There's a spot for everyone's liking. Though it can be difficult to find seating for groups of people as many of Lux's customers are flying solo. However, if you and your posse wander around long-enough, there is probably one nice coffee-loving friend who will give up their lone seat at a table for you! Today I visited Zeta's Grill with my family and had lunch. I am a second generation lebanese and this place reminded me of my mother's great cooking. when we arrived, we were greated by a young hostess and the manager. once we got seated , fresh homemade Pita and wild thyme (zaatar) mixed with olive oil and sesame seed were offered to us (typical lebanese hospitality). We started our lunch with couple appetizers : hommus and tabouleh salad, both were perfectly prepared. The hommus is a must to try , so tasteful !! then we ordered the mixed grill for myself and the chicken Kebob for my wife. Wow, the meat was cooked to perfection and the chicken was so delicious along with the garlic sauce on the side. I must say the garlic sauce exceeded what my mother used to make. the service and the caual atmoshere made us feel like we were at home. On top here comes the owner carrying a selcetion of baklava and offered it to us on the house. Hospitality at Zeta's is 5 stars without any doubt and so is the food and the service. I will let all my friends and family to know about Zeta's Grill. I love it and I will go back again and again. We need this type of cuisine in the West Valley. read more

This happens to me anytime I adventure away from my usual order at lux. This has happened to me here the first time I've ordered the americano, the yogurt parfait, and the scones. The bakers here are legit le cordon bleu graduates from what I hear (and taste). The brown sugar macadamia scone is this glistening golden glimmer of a pastry with a crumbly biscuit texture on the outside and gooey butter cream in the center. When I first laid eyes on the one selected for me I actually thought "she gave me the good one!" It had me asking deep questions about the universe. At times, the line is long but no worries the staff actually is efficient and gets through it in minutes. The only downside is the coffee condiment area is booty to booty with the people ordering & paying. No worries as everyone moves through pretty quickly. The decor and art at lux is perfection: hip coffee atmosphere achieved. Literally, the best people watching with 2 outdoor areas. We've hosted for a birthday party and ordered food for 25 people from PNC Chandler location. I've ordered the food and cake. The food was excellent and so tasty. I've ordered 4 appetizers (Non-veg and Veg), Chicken Biryani as Main Course, 1 Non veg curry and 2 Veg curries, 1 Dessert. Everything tasted sooo nice! The Chef Andy (Anand) is so professional and advised me on how to adjust the appetizers and main course for a group of 25 people. Since it was my daughter's first birthday, I'm very particular about the food. Andy did a very good job in preparing all the dishes and everything turned out so well! Nothing was left and wasted. All the guests were pretty happy! I would surely recommend this place for my friends. If you want to go and sit and have a good time with your friends, this is the place! Massage Envy Queen Creek - Amazing experience. Everyone there is extremely nice and accommodating. I had a little difficulty scheduling on line through corporate office, but once I was in touch with the salon everything was smooth as silk. I am taking the time to write this review because I feel that my treatment was THAT GOOD! Usually when I leave a massage I will feel good but wanted more or needed more in a few spots. However when I left this morning I felt GREAT. I actually felt that I had some really good deep body work done to completion. My therapist Dana Richards was extremely professional and very skilled. She was relentless in working trouble spots,, which she found immediately, until most all of the tension in the areas was eased. I highly recommend the salon, and specifically Dana. Although in all fairness I have not had any other therapist there work on me, if Dana is representative of the caliber of therapist at the Massage Envy Salon in Queen Creek, then they have an amazing staff. A year and a half ago, I had to place my husband, who suffers from Alzheimer's Disease into a memory care facility. Sad as this step was for both of us, we were exceedingly fortunate to find Rock Creek Alzheomer's Special Care Center in Surprise, AZ. The wonderful Administrator, Stephanie Fialkin, is extremely knowledgeable, empathetic and sympathetic - and she is very kind, caring deeply for both the residents of Rock Creek and their loved ones. I know I can come to her for advice at any time - and I will be comforted. She has chosen a staff which, across the board, is experienced and totally committed to making the lives of the residents the best they can be - and they always help families and other visitors, too. Rock Creek is a well-run facility which envelops every person in an incredibly kind and loving atmosphere, and that's one of the reasons I visit with my husband almost every day. So IDK where to even begin with this dump. Should l start with pissy staff OR the poor layout OR that patio? Jesus Christ that patio... I'd rather drink coffee in the bathroom from Saw. Or that hole in the ground from Silence of the Lambs? Remember that,? Where he put the Senator's daughter. Anywho... this place is just plain terrible. If you're standing in line plan on getting knocked around by rude busboys carrying tubs of dirty dishes. God forbid if you ask a question about the menu. You can hear the eye roll 2 blocks away. I've never seen such a rude staff from jump street. Did you ever see that Pop Copy sketch on Chappelle Show? This place is like that. But for the life of me l don't understand that patio. It's like a redneck's back yard. Giant wooden spools for tables and the crappiest furniture. I mean seriously, I've seen nicer patios at 35th Ave and Rosier. Thanks to all of the great yelp photos, the winner of my "tournament of decision" was the Mexican Benedict. From there, I was able to step to the side to order and iced mocha before sitting down wherever we wanted. I think this is a great wrinkle because the food comes out quick and seats for most in line are available, like clock work. No one was standing around waiting for a seat even though the line was to the door when w got there. The Mexican Benedict was amazing, with a spicy chorizo along with the usual. I found myself savoring every bite, and the flavor was consistent. The manager was warm and informative to everyone eating, and we felt so enjoyable while we ate good food. They have some baked treats near the register that I couldn't help but try, so I got the pineapple empanada. They also are pretty large. I really like the side of fruit and how they shred the apples on it.. It's so cute and fun. My friend ordered a chicken sandwich that was phenomenal, as well as a waffle that did not disappoint. The manager was ringing us up at the counter, and was really friendly and helpful as we ordered. We would definitely come again!

Seating is limited inside but there's more outside. The staff was friendly and helpful. The menu had a variety of enticing options, but I went with the staff's recommendation of El Paisano sandwich and my son ordered the El Chicano sandwich. I also got an iced almond milk latte with honey and cinnamon powder and my son got an iced Americano. My El Paisano was very tasty. It usually comes with chorizo, but I requested it without. Without the chorizo, the only protein left is an egg, which isn't enough for me so I should have asked for an additional egg on my sandwich. My latte was solid. My son liked his sandwich and Americano as well. We enjoyed sitting outside, taking advantage of the lovely patio weather we had back in May. They have a complimentary water station which was a thoughtful touch.

It did not look like there were free refills on the drip coffee since they offered large and small sizes, but it looked like their coffee has some award(s), so that makes sense. About a 15 minute drive from me, so won't be a frequent stop, but would recommend. Only knock is that they don't have to go sleeves so I had to double cup.

I like super sweet drinks and read that the chai can be spicy so I asked for it to be sweetened; I might try it without next time because it was plenty sweet and the best chai I've had in Phoenix. Also the best bagel I've had here - fresh, super cheesy, perfect balance between soft and cheesy. The cinnamon roll was because they didn't have cupcakes but it worked out. It was soft and smothered in incredible cream cheese frosting. I live within a block of 4 coffee shops downtown and will happily drive here from now on for my weekend treat. My favorite thing is the bodega bagel - your choice of bagel with cream cheese, tomato, and bacon. It's so nice being able to get a breakfast item without eggs (since I can't eat them) that is filling and delicious. I also love the m&m cookie and get one every time I go! The environment is so welcoming and inclusive, and all of the staff are friendly. The restrooms are not gendered and clean as well! We don't live close, but I love every excuse I have to visit.
