I was in desperate need of a pedicure while in Logan Circle area and stumbled onto this place. The reviews had me a bit worried (especially the older ones) but decided to give it a chance. I was able to get a walk-in pedicure but it seemed like pure luck for me! (So definitely schedule an appointment if you choose to go). I really enjoyed my pedicure experience-- the staff was very thorough, friendly, and calming. I didn't feel that my pedicure was rushed at all and she even did like a leg massage that was nice. And they offered wine or water only which was okay. BTW I can't speak for manicure work but from what I saw you may need an appointment especially if you want SNS nails. Update: My pinky nail popped off today. I called multiple times again to see if they could fix my now 2 missing gel x nails I got done 1 week 1/2 ago. This is my first time having my gel x pop off like press ons. I need my nails fixed, but I think i'm better off going somewhere else for them to last. I originally tried calling multiple times to book an appointment. They never answered the phone, so I just walked in because I work nearby. My first time trying them out went well. My gel x nails lasted almost 5 weeks with no lifting. I had chrome tips which chipped in the first week, but the overall style held up including the 3D design. This service was $120 plus tip. I also got my toes done for an additional $75 plus tip. My second time back Dec23rd around 2pm for gel x again my service was rushed. I left unsatisfied with the color and the quality of the paint job and returned the next morning around 10:30am. My servicer both visits was Jen and when I returned the next morning she wasn't there as of yet. I was told she wouldn't be in again until Tuesday to fix my nails. Tuesday came and she was unavailable again. I made an appointment for the next day Wednesday at 5pm. Once I got there I sat waiting for an hour just for a polish change which I didn't end up getting. I was told in order to not pay for my nails to be fixed she would just paint over what she already did instead of taking off the polish. I asked why and she said if she drills off the polish to reapply she will be charging me but if she just paints over them again she wont. I just agree because now I see the quality of service is not important to her. She painted over my nails and I can still see the previous polish underneath. My middle finger nail on my right hand just popped off today and my nails have been done for only a week. My satisfaction was not met for the second time. I paid $105 plus tip for a gel X set with french polish for my nails, to be chipping and popping off within a week. I tried calling again twice today, with no answer which I expected. I definitely wish their quality was consistent and they had better customer service. This could've been a better review otherwise. read more

I've been going here since they opened in 2021. I was happy until I started wanted designs. I know their instagram is full of nail art, but every picture I brought in they couldn't do. You have to make an appointment, or else they can't take you. However I don't understand why I have to sign in on the ipad if I then have to tell them what I'm getting done. I'd rather not have to touch the common ipad if they can see the reservation system. I finally decided my last time going there would be when I got the man named Wayn. The drill he used on my fingers was so painful I had to tell him to use less pressure. No drink was offered. Then I looked at my nails and he really scratched them up, like he damaged the surface of my nails. There were white scratch marks back and forth on them. I'm not going to any salon that doesn't take proper care in the gentle removal of my nails. Oh and the kicker was he cut my nails too short and had the nerve to blame me for that. How is it my fault when I specifically said only cut a little?!? read more

Went in to a get my eyebrows done and it was only two people in the establishment. One was doing nails, the other was about to do somebody pedicure. Once mentioned to them that I wanted my eyebrows waxed. They spoke in their language and I waited. About 15 seconds later, I was told that they didn't have anybody available. This will be my last time coming to this salon. I got my gel x nails done by Melanie on 8/14. By 8/20 one nail was falling off and another was lifting. I called everyday from 8/20-25 to see when I could come in to get my nail fixed. No one answered the phone nor called back. So I showed up on 8/25 to get it fixed. I was told I needed to come back because no one could do it. I asked when they say tomorrow but not sure what time. So another person says she can fix it. She put on one of the nail and it's crooked. I told her immediately and she said she will fix it when she cuts it and shapes it. She doesn't cut not shape it. So when she starts painting I tell her it's still crooked. She then gets mad and says I need to come back. I said I'm not coming back. If I would bavs left I would've just took all the nails off and disputed the charge with my bank. Now everyone has an attitude and is saying I can't help you. They ended up fixing it but painting my nail one with two coats and the other with three coats I'm over it. I will not be back. read more

He filed down so much of my natural nail, going into my side walls after I said not pointy and showed him this reference photo. I've never had anyone race through a manicure like this one. Don't get me wrong, I get we all have places to be, but really? I think more than anything, I'm giving less stars because they charged me more for removing my gel manicure. I can't count how many times I've had gel manicures (not to mention in more than one country) and I've never, ever been specifically charged for removing the previous gel if I'm getting another one. Over all, for the price that they charge, there are plenty of better places in the area with much better prices and deals. I won't be going back here. read more

They are several months newly opened so I wanted to give them a shot. They also have pretty affordable combo deals. I did gel mani plus gel pedi for $79. The pedicure was awesome! They use a scrub and are very diligent about cleaning the feet and skin around toes. They also offer wine, champagne and water. The gel manicure was just okay. I think the main issue was the guy didn't ask what shape I wanted and went and did a more rounded shape than I would like. My fault for not correcting it early in the process but I couldn't tell until the polish was on. I would rank the pedicure a 4 and the manicure more of a 2.5 to 3 because some of the polish went beyond my cuticles. I will give them one more shot and be clearer about what I want. read more

I get a call that they don't do acrylics but can do SNS and tips and decide to give this place a shot. $110 later I'm left with crooked and wide partial dip nails. I say partial dip because they decided to use a clear dip then put a gel coat on top (that's NOT how dip works). I have quite literally never been so misguided by yelp before - can't wait to file these duck footed nails down to a somewhat normal lumpy shape before the wedding that I am in Saturday. I really wanted to like this place since it's right around the corner; however, the location and convenience don't outweigh skill. My nail tech was extremely nice and friendly but my manicure came out terrible. I requested square shape nails and they are round and the clear top coat doesn't fully cover the nail (I can see uneven layers on most nails). On top of that, I have flaking clear polish all around and underneath my nails. This manicure was pricy-- $18 + $5 to remove gel so $23 total and I have to take it off and do it myself because it really looks that terrible. I'm giving this place 2 stars because of how kind my nail tech Tom was; unfortunately, I think they need to train the techs more. read more

I had a great experience here. I called ahead of time to see if they could fit me in for a mani/pedi and they were able to right away. The space looks super clean and well-kept which I think is rare sometimes with nail salons. Grace was my technician and she did a great job. I also asked for extra foot massage and she was great at that. My toes looked great! Then I got an SNS manicure and it turned out very nice as well. She made sure to ask me how thick I wanted them (how many layers of SNS). The only downside was that they don't have as wide of a selection of SNS colors as some other places I've been to. I've had two great experiences at Envogue since they opened recently in March. Both times I have gotten a gel manicure and pedicure. The space is beautiful and clean, and they offer a free glass of champagne with service (which I always appreciate!). The pedicures were a little faster than other places as some reviewers have mentioned, but I actually appreciate a quick and efficient experience. The prices are totally on par for other salons in the area, and they're currently offering a free manicure with pedicure for their grand opening. I've been to dozens of nail salons in DC, and Envogue is near the top of the list for me. I'll definitely be back. read more

I am writing this review after two unreturned phone calls to en vogue nail bar, and a call to my credit card company. On Friday afternoon I went to en vogue nail bar to have a gel manicure and gel pedicure. Total $83. Pricey but when you consider that you're purchasing fingernail covering for 2 weeks and toes for 4 plus weeks it seems ok. I had my baby shower on Sunday and a baby moon schedule departure on Tuesday, and I really wanted my nails to look good for a while. When I left en vogue I was happy with the service. Fast forward to Tuesday morning (only 3.5 days after service!) when two of my fingernails polish came right off. Then Wednesday when I arrived in Paris and took off my sock my baby toenail polish came off with my sock?! I called them, and they told me the manager would call me. I card them again days later, and again they said manager would call. Now 1.5 weeks from my call and no word from the manager? Today I am still in France with no fingers polished and two random toes undone. Absolutely terrible and disappointing. I do not recommend en vogue, and am very sorry I wasted my money there! read more

Decided to go because it was close by, but I can't believe I paid nearly $30 for SNS removal and a regular manicure that was so sloppy! While the salon it's self is clean, and allegedly offers drinks- I was offered nothing. When I asked for a glass of wine, I was told they didn't have any. However, another customer came in after me and was served wine? Makes no sense. Manicure wise- Tech rushed and very abrasive (used a drill to remove my SNS which is a HUGE no no) and sloppily painted my nails and ordered me to pay before I could even say my nails were filed unevenly. They basically got the job done without any frills. My nails look good and the service was very fast and efficient but lacked the spa quality that I personally love about getting my nails done. I had an appointment which was prompt and didn't have to wait to be seen but I definitely didn't feel pampered and didn't really get any massage. I had the pedi special with a free mani as per their opening special. Their prices are comparable to other salons but personally I want the massage and spa experience so would probably go elsewhere. Quick, efficient service and quality nail painting. Gave champagne. Massage chairs. Cons: No massages, nothing special with the basic regular nail polish manipedi. Not even a simple calf squeeze when they lotion up your legs - possibly because they were trying to move quicklythrough the several people waiting. So really not a spa experience. Understaffed (though likely due to the fact that they are new). They should definitely use smaller glasses or small flutes for their champagne, as they barely filled a quarter of the chinet cups with it and it gave me a cheap feeling. All of the technicians I have had at En Vogue Nail Salon have been very sweet and always take their time to make sure I am happy with how my nails look. We were headed to our usual spot for my husband's birthday and saw this new place that offered a free manicure with the purchase of a pedicure, so we decided to try it. MISTAKE. My husband got a good tech- an older woman named Jane who was kind and did a fantastic job. I unfortunately got a man who would not tell me his name. I learned from the receptionist that his name is Tom. He did not appear to enjoy working here. The place was empty when we arrived but he was in a huge hurry and skipped over portions of my pedicure. I have a ton of dead skin from the winter but he did not scrape it off and when I asked about it he insisted that I didn't have any dead skin and then started complaining to his colleagues in his language. He was clearly talking negatively and angrily about me. He proceeded to shave my dry feet (you are supposed to do it while the feet are wet and dead skin is soft). He was so put out and angry that I didn't want to ask him to wet my feet to do it the right way. But, I did it anyway and as expected, he made a huge deal of it and sprinkle my foot with some water. Not sufficient! I told him just forget the whole thing and paint my toes with the dead skin cake to the bottom of my feet as it has been all winter. This was a mistake and I won't come here again or I will ensure I Request Jane. read more

I went to this new place in March when it opened and the experience was ok. The mani/pedi was average for above average prices and then i wanted to get my eyebrows waxed but they didn't have any wax on, so after I was laying on the table waiting a few minutes they finally told me they couldn't do it. I decided I'd give them another try because they're conveniently located and the place is nice. Today I called to see if I could get an appointment for a friend and myself, they woman said oh sure come now! I said ok we are on our way, two manicures and two pedicures. We walked straight there and when we arrived we were told that only one of us would be taken and the other would have to wait at least twenty minutes. I expressed that we had called for appointments and they said yes but you took too long to get here so we put others before you--mind you we got there within 20 minutes of the call! They were unapologetic and downright rude making excuses for how it was OUR fault. We walked right out and will never go back and I will tell everyone I know to avoid the place. read more

Wonderful experience! The salon is clean, beautiful, and bright; the massage chairs are brand new and super comfortable; they generously served me a glass of sparkling wine; and the staff are super friendly. I had June, who gave me a perfect gel manicure and gel pedicure. I definitely enjoyed this salon experience more than the other nearby nail bars and will be coming back. Be sure to make an appointment! They only had four staff members on hand, at least when I was there, and thus could only work on four people at a time.
