Had a great facial and massage from two amazing professionals. The scheduling and customer service were a nightmare. I had an appointment booked and was called the day of -- 4 hours before my actual appointment, to reschedule because they double booked. Had to cancel my plans for the evening to make it to the only late appointment available for rescheduling. The person who contacted me was rude along with the person who checked me out. I expected more from a spa that has a strict cancellation and rescheduling policy. Also, completed forms in advance that aren't used to inform the appointment. My package came with a beverage that I was never served. I had to ask about it as I was checking out and ended up just leaving it. It's unfortunate that I will not go back because the aesthetician and masseuse were great. Tipped them well because it's not their fault. I hope the spa improves its customer service and has consideration for client's time & displays appreciation for their business. read more

I completely understand all the one star ratings and echo the sentiment. Nancy is downright defensive and mean because she can never get hair color correct no matter how many chances she is given. And the owner bans clients who are not happy with Nancy instead of firing her. My new colorist and stylist corrected Nancy's damage, is an experienced professional, enjoyable to chat with and I pay less to boot. read more

I always book Cindy for my nails! She's very diligent and gives the best foot massages during pedicures. Hot tip: do dazzle dry for your manicures. It dries fast, stays on longer than normal nail polish, but doesn't put your hands through harsh conditions like gel. The ground floor is a hair salon, the basement focuses on nails, and the second floor hosts massages and extra treatments. Everything is clean, professional, and luxurious (love a good massage chair). The owner of the salon is an empowering female entrepreneur who really cares about her business. This was my first visit to Spa Logic and won't be my last. I had a Groupon for a 50 minute massage, 50 minute facial, mani and pedi. Booking my day was easy and the person helping me book walked me through finding the needed info from the Groupon. My time started there at 11am and I was done by 2:30ish. Spa Logic is a short walk from the DuPont Metro and easy to find. My massage was first and was up on the second floor...such a calming, relaxed space. My massage was excellent - I selected a relaxation massage rather than deep tissue and it was one of the best massages I've had. I very easily could have fallen asleep. Love the aromatherapy and heated towels that accompanied it. Afterwards, I waited a quick couple minutes until I was taken up to the 3rd floor for my facial. It was my first time having a facial. I was walked through the different steps and what to expect. My session included two cleanses and hydration mask. Loved the cooling step the most - afterwards my skin was so smooth and looked so healthy! I'll need to start introducing this into my self care. Next up was nails - which is on the bottom floor. Started with a pedicure in a massage chair and was offered wine or water. After pedicure, moved over to the manicure station. I had standard polish and have been so impressed with my nails - not a chip or smudge after two weeks! Everyone I interacted with were professional, friendly, and great in their expertise. Spoiler Alert "your package is a Groupon, and you should be lucky." Is what I was told. Let me give some context, I spent Fathers Day redeeming my Mothers Day Spa day that my husband reserved for me. I had no idea it was a Groupon until my facial. It doesn't diminish the value but it does make a customer feel a certain type of way. My esthetician Kay did a great job but I would have preferred the products she used listed on a sheet since they're available for retail but not readily available after the service. So this "package" comes with a Massage, Facial, Manicure and Pedicure. The establishment has a hair salon on Level 2, Massages on Level 3, Facials on Level 4, and Nails on the Basement level. The Musical selections on each floor match the services respectively, serine on the upper levels, up beat and top 100 on the lowers. Everything is clean and staff is nice. The use of space is well designed and you would never know what's above or below you unless you frequent often. Thanks for offering a Groupon! Some of the other customers I spoke to today were also redeeming some sort of Groupon. read more

Did the dry dazzle man pedi and the pedi was good but the mani was absolutely awful (different person did it). They painted only part of my nails (totally missed the sides) and then when I called it out, tried to correct it very poorly. Everything was uneven and cuticles a mess. Ended up having to do three thick coats to try and fix errors and ultimately looks terrible. I told the front desk and all they said was that we appreciate feedback. read more

While traveling in DC my feet were sore from tones of walking and I had a gift card from Spa Finder on me so I decided to see which locations on my route from the conference I was attending to my lodging (my friends) I could possibly get in for a pedicure appointment at the end of my 6 day trip. Spa Logic showed up as one of the options and I liked that their one pedicure included a hot stone massage so I booked an appointment online. They are right off the metro just a block away so very convenient and around a bunch of cute shops. The lower level entrance is where the nail services are housed and then upstairs they offer hair services. I really enjoyed my pedicure it was very relaxing so much so I was dozing off at times. I like that there was a fan for drying my polish so I could feel confident about leaving with dry polish since I would be going back out walking in my open toe low heels! Everyone was very nice especially having to deal with the spa finder gift card I had since I'm sure it isn't something commonly used (shoot it's been even just sitting in my wallet for almost a year because I keep forgetting to look up businesses that participate) read more

Well I found this place through groupon, the deal sounded good but of course they were slick with adding extra stuff that I never asked for and they charged me for it. When I expressed I didn't ask for it they said they could remove it when the service took 1 1/2hrs to do it. I was willing to pay for what i asked but not for something I didn't agree on. Also, they had forgot to book my appointment which i was fortunate that one nail tech lady was available but there was another customer who was booked with the same person as I was doing my appointment. She was disappointed. There's definitely wrong with their booking and communication cause I wasn't the only one. The nail tech lady was fine but i didn't agree to a service and I wasn't charged for it. Before the initial appointment i tried booking an appointment but this guy said there was an appointment available; as soon as I mentioned Groupon coupon he immediately said oh we don't have availability anymore. I was a walk-in at Spa Logic to get my eyebrows threaded and saw Parisa. I don't usually go somewhere new for my brows since I get nervous, but I really needed them done and decided to take the risk. It turned out to be such a wonderful experience. Parisa was amazing. She was so friendly and took the time to make sure she knew exactly what I wanted. She asked questions, had me check one eyebrow before doing the other, and really made me feel comfortable throughout. The results are perfect and I'm in love with the final look. The prices were affordable, the service was great, and I left so happy. I'll definitely be coming back the next time I'm in DC and would highly recommend Parisa to anyone looking to get their eyebrows done! read more

I went in for a classic pedicure and it took over an hour and a half to do while also chemically burning one of my feet. I used to go here years ago but the quality had clear gown down. The environment was fine. But the lady I had working on my feet took forever and over did an initial chemical which caused me to have to dip back in the water and end up with burns (see picture). read more

I purchased a Groupon for a spray tan at Spa Logic, hoping to treat myself while navigating grief and caregiving. Unfortunately, the experience left me feeling worse. When I called to redeem the voucher, the person who answered the phone was incredibly rude. She asked for the redemption code, and I was trying to pull it up on the Groupon app--but initially, there was no code visible. While I was trying to explain that I couldn't see it yet, she cut me off with, "I don't know what you're looking at." I refreshed the page, the code appeared, and I apologized--but she interrupted again, demanding the code. I told her I needed to hop off the call briefly to take another important call related to a death in my family, and she hung up on me. I contacted Groupon and got a refund. I'll be finding another place to take my business. If this is how Spa Logic treats potential customers, I want no part of it. read more

I asked for a gel mani - which I received but I left the salon with nails of every length and shape. Although it took nearly two hours, my nails look uneven and cheap. I almost asked for a consult on brows but my nails are so uneven and poorly shaped, I was afraid to risk a mess on my face! I also noticed all the other guests were offered beverages. I was not. Got a classic facial here from a Groupon. The facial service itself was nice (very facial massage heavy which I really liked). It was generally a good facial with one big negative however - the facial was supposed to be 50 minutes and I only got 40 minutes. My service started 10 minutes late and still ended at the original time. So essentially I was shorted 20% of my facial. Just based on that alone, I wouldn't go back. Facials are expensive and I expect to get the entire time I paid for. The other negative, the tech didn't say almost anything the entire time vs saying what she was putting on my face. There is also a small service fee of $3 as an FYI. read more

I've been here 3-4 times, most recently my husband purchased a Groupon to send me for a facial, massage and mani-pedi for Mother's Day. The facials are always superb 5/5. They use good products that are clean, don't have too much smell and I've never reacted. They're perfect with the pressure - it's relaxing- and the extractions are just right! The massage is usually EXCELLENT. I prefer firm pressure myself and have never had an issue. But this time I was in pain for 3-5 days afterwards!! Peter really pressed on my tailbone to the point of pain!! I expressed where my pain was (neck, mid-back/shoulders, and low back) and he spent more time on my arms and calves. However, it was mother's day and he had had 7 high pressure massages before me...according to him. I don't know, I eventually healed from the tailbone bruises and I definitely got relief for all but my shoulder pain but I would not request him again as the massage was not at all relaxing in the way I needed it to be. Too much talking, not enough listening. I've been getting massaged for years, this isn't even really a man thing, but I think I'm most unsurprised that it is a man. Sigh 2/5 The Groupon came with a mani-pedi. I have a regular manicurist and wear my natural nails with sheer dip powder - I did not want or need a manicure. They don't make substitutions so I had to pay extra to remove gel on my toes and get gel on my toes- EVEN THOUGH I DID NOT GET A MANICURE. Cynthia did a good job cleaning my cuticles, shaping my toes, and removing my ingrowns. She really listened. She was also exhausted from a full day of mani pedis and forgot to put the top coat on one of my toes. So now I have beautifully shaped toes with two different color profiles. One is shiny and new looking, the other looks like matte that someone tried to remove lol. I haven't even called because I'm too busy to get it fixed but it was sincerely a disappointment. But Cynthia was great and I know if I'd been the 1-5 customer all would have been well lol. Overall a solid experience every time. I need to try the body scrub here!! read more

This is an update to a review I made over two years ago. it is now June 2025: Spa Logic management redeemed my Groupon without my permission when I called to tell them I was sick with a fever. They claim that they redeem Groupons 24 hours in advance, but that is not true. I have visited this spa multiple times, and there is always an issue. The first time I went there they had sick girls with no masks on doing pedicures. My nail tech dug her instrument so deeply into my toe that I ended up with an infection a week later. Two years has gone by and I thought I would try a massage. I came down with a fever over 24 hours before my appointment. I called to cancel, because I didn't want to get anyone sick. I was told I would be charged a rescheduling fee. Less than a minute after I hung up I received an email saying my Groupon had been redeemed. I've never heard of a merchant redeeming a voucher or taking full payment before a service has even been completed. It's always a hit or miss with this place. This is the last time I will give this business my money. Between showing up one time to find my appointment had been cancelled, to getting an infection, to now having a $200+ Groupon redeemed with no cause, don't waste your money. read more

Last review of the year so of course I had to end it with self care! Please note that there are only 2 spas I would ever go to in DC and this is one of them. Let's go! So for starters, this place is my regular spot for my manicures and pedicures-I loveeee Sam! She has always taken such great care of me..4 years and still going! I decided this time to take advantage of their holiday special which included a regular massage, regular facial, regular mani/pedi. I added a gel mani because the regular polish doesn't last on my nails. Full service was under $200...that's a steal! Staff: The staff is always professional and friendly and checking in goes by pretty smoothly. I did come for a massage in the summer 2021 and it was actually done by the person who did my facial- Fatiha. But we'll talk more about that later on. Ambiance: The place is small but be reminded that we're talking about DC and some buildings are relatively small in size but this place does a great job at upholding ambiance with its pretty and cozy decor. My only grievance at the spa was that the toilet was really messy both times I used it and that's only on the other customers before me who obviously do the same thing at their own homes...FLUSH behind yourselves and wipe the seats UGH! But anywho! Over my rant of nasty people. Let's focus again on the spa. After being led upstairs to the waiting room, I sat in silence and relaxed until my masseuse, Celina, came to get me. Massage: Celina was so kind and spoke softly to get me comfortable, address any needs I had, and checked in to ensure that the pressure was right. I can tell however, that she is new to this but it didn't stop her from making my massage feel divine! I literally fell asleep on the table and woke up feeling relaxed. The massage was soothing and relaxing and that's exactly the goal I was going for. Now, I did want to get some of the kinks out of my neck area but she did what she could to work it out and I felt a little loose, was just hoping for more. Anyhow, that beauty nap led me back to the waiting room where Celina provided me with lemon water and informed me of my next service, a facial. Facial: Fatiha, came next to lead me to the top level floor where facials are done. She had me remove my robe, lay under a comfortable blanket and explained the steps she was taking for my facial. Let me say this...my face has NEVER looked this clean and I try to uphold facials at my own home. I see now why it's important to get a professional facial and include extractions. Fatiha explained some of the things going on and things she had to remove and as disgusted as I was to hear lol I have to say that when I looked in the mirror, I almost fainted because my face looked renewed and absolutely amazing! I had some minor red spots in the extraction areas but as someone with sensitive skin, my face didn't show any other reactions to the products nor methods used. OMG I'll be back to see her in 8 weeks (recommended time for extraction follow up) Following my beautiful facial, I was led to the lower level to see my nail tech, Sam! Of course I wouldn't allow anyone to do my nails but her lol so if you've read my reviews for the nails salon then you know that Sam provided me with top tier service as always and my hands and feet felt revived!!! Overall, this spa day was much needed and so relaxing. For a moment I felt like I left DC and was tucked away in a quiet space. Now, like some of the other reviews have mentioned, the walls are thin and there is a level of noise heard in the massage rooms but mainly when loud guest are walking and talking. I think if people were a little more mindful of their noise level, other guests won't hear much while getting their services done. Aside from that, the price was great for the services done. The services were amazing! And I am entering a New Year, relaxed and ready to continue my self care journey in 2023! Thanks for reading! Now go, book a service or all!!!!! I came here for the Hamman scrub and it was beautiful. It was far more caring/gentle than the scrubs at the K-spa, but it left my skin feeling great. The entire experience was very clean. It started with a nice shower, then continued in the wet bed in the center of the room. You have the option of taking a shower after, but you get rinsed so thoroughly on the table, that you probably don't really need to. It's definitely one of those scrubs where they get all the nooks and crannies while you're completely naked, so if you're not mentally prepared for that, this might not be for you. My stylist was great but the salon has started charging you to pay them -- no fee if you pay with cash, but they didn't bother to tell me that beforehand so obviously I didn't have cash on me. Instead, they charged a substantial fee even though I paid with a debit card (the same as cash) and not a credit card with its merchant fees. I find this type of self-serving profit-chasing to be reprehensible -- just raise your prices, don't make up nonsense fees and trick people into paying them. read more

My favorite spa for body scrubs!! The private room comes with a separate bathroom and shower, and a sauna. Its a perfect little oasis. see pics below :) And they truly scrub you down...no frills. The massage rooms are thin walled and not terribly spacious, but perfectly adequate to get the job done. The spa is a 3 story row house set up, so anyone with any physical disabilities will have a hard time navigating the steep stairs. The main floor is a salon, the 2nd floor has massage rooms and facial rooms, and 3rd floor are the body scrub and body treatment rooms. I think there's also a private room for couple massages, etc. Street parking is a bit of hassle, but manageable. You can also get your nails on the basement level (Dupont Nails). They usually have deals on groupons or you can purchase a treatment series. Spa logic...my best kept secret for body scrubs. read more

My schedule freed up unexpectedly, so I called to make an appointment for a manicure/pedicure with only a few days' notice. To my pleasant surprise, they had an opening which fit my busy Saturday schedule perfectly. Everyone was so welcoming when I arrived. Evelyn did an excellent job with both my manicure and pedicure. She made sure the water temperature was to my liking and took her time. My feet felt as smooth as a baby's afterwards. The hand and feet massages were heavenly. I love how conveniently Spa Logic is located to the DuPont Circle Metro station (just a couple of blocks north of the Q St Entrance). I will definitely return. I just had a 2 hour massage from Celina today. My first time with her was an hour and it was great. I normally do 2 hrs. I finally got the 2 hour window with her and it's exceptionally great. I will never ever ever ever come back here and will tell everyone I know to come here. Incredibly rude service, mediocre services, just all around bad experience (I joked with my partner after that my MRI a few weeks earlier was more relaxing and it actually is true). Here is why. At check in, I told my name and they confused me with someone by the same name - honest mistake. But then I followed the instructions I was given but meant for someone else. Instead of receiving an apology or anything I was berated with questions and told it was my fault. Because of the mistake I was sent back to get a mani and pedi first and rushed through the process of it. The manicurist did a great job - don't get me wrong but the whole time I was doing the "package" it very much became my fault because I was sent downstairs, out of order. Once the issue was recognized, the staff ran me through the changes and told me I would have to wait now in between services - still no apology - basically just them telling me how I am an imposition and this messed up the schedule and now I would be there for an additional hour - but I "could read a book to kill time". I was told and questioned by employees how I messed up and went out of order when I was instructed to do so. A mistake is one thing but claiming the customer at fault is another (and untrue). At that point I was already having a bad time but I continued on because the money was already invested for more treatments. After the manicure and pedicure, I was led upstairs where an employee spoke to me and literally yelled and questioned why I had gone out of order. Again- not my fault. I told the employee I would never be coming back but they continued to forcefully tell me how I messed up the process and now that I'm getting a massage after a manicure, the manicure would be messed up. It did not get messed up but another instance of absolutely no apology, just hostility for their mistake. Luckily, the manicurist was able to point me upstairs to the facialist. While doing the facial, the person told me "my skin freaked her out." This was unwarranted. I go to the dermatologist every year without concern. I told her this had already become a not ideal day and she continued to critique my "freaky skin" and told me I should do another facial that was a $180 up charge! I declined, later told my friends who continued to reassure me, my skin was not "freaky". After the facial, I was told my massage would be happening in 5 minutes by both the facialist and an employee who met us in the waiting area. Instead I waited in the waiting room, in a bathrobe with no offer of water or anything, for over an hour with no details at all nor apology. In that time I heard two employees talking about other employees where I heard them call them bitches, the R word, and other inappropriate things at a very high volume. Talk about creating a relaxing environment... Finally an hour (asking multiple times and was told "they will be with you in a few minutes), after I asked and also cried due to feeling overwhelmed that I continued to be blamed for the mishap, I was let in to my massage that was nice! But did not make up for this day. As I was leaving, still no apology and they just told me they "wish they had noticed the mistake earlier." Again, I get mistakes but there were absolutely no signs of remorse, effort to my experience pleasant, nothing. It was both humiliating and unpleasant. I went to the spa thinking I would be able to relax but left thinking anything else could be more pleasant. Please, take your money elsewhere. Do not fall into the same trap I did. I wish I had spent the time of my life elsewhere. Rudest staff ever. Awful service and even worse experience. Spa Logic - please learn how to own up to your mistakes or at least not make a customer feel like your mistake is their doing. I would suggest you offer that glass of wine the package comes with. I can guarantee you I will not be returning and telling everyone I know not to come here. read more

I got my wedding nails and toenails done here and, let me just say, it was such a great experience. The management accommodated for me and my maid of honor to be able to be beside each other for the whole time even though they appeared a bit short staffed the day we went. Tina is an absolute artist. It was my first time getting tips so I didn't know what to expect, but was blown away by the result. We talked through my vision and she made great recommendations to give me my desired outcome. She paid such close attention to detail, making sure everything was absolutely perfect for what will be a highly photographed hand! She also explained every step so I would know what was coming next since it was my first experience with tips and dip powder. I also loved the pedicure because it was the first time in a while I had a legit foot and calf massage with my pedicure and not just some oil slapped on and rubbed in. For the nails we went with a pink to white French ombré with a shimmer on top. I am OBSESSED and will be going to Spa Logic for my special occasion nails on the future. read more

Probably the worst, non-spa experience ever. You get what you pay for, but actually less and worse than what you pay for here... I usually only do Groupons for trying new businesses, not for going to ones that have been around for a while and have questionable reviews in the past. Somehow, all the rave reviews made me think this place would be okay.... The one star would be for the excellent receptionists on the ground and first floors.... But everything else about my "spa day" here was uncomfortable and disappointing. I booked women with with Yelp recommendations; and, they were not impressive, let alone professional. At 10am, the place smelled of cleaning agents, which made me feel a bit nauseous. They were still cleaning the place, so I could taste the chemicals as I awaited for my masseur. I was brought upstairs to wait in a nice seating area, as the masseur yelled at two women to get out of the room and to be quiet. I took off my shoes and slipped into their flip flops. She had me fill out a form, which she never looked at before proceeding. And even though I articulated the areas I wanted focus on, she ignored and did what she wanted to. To be quite honest, I don't know what kind of massage she was doing... very strange and dangerous in my opinion. For example, you should never press down on someone's ankle. read more

I asked for subtle, partial highlights and I got my hair bleached into haphazard stripes. I don't even think any color was applied when I wanted subtle light brown. Not bleach blonde. I contacted them to let them know that I was unhappy with the color and wanted it fixed and they never responded. Couldn't go out in public like this so just fixed it myself at home and did a much better job with a $10 box than what they did in 2 hrs for $200 UPDATE: To clarify Kathy's comment, there is NO confusion.
