I am so happy to have found Qi Spa! Located above L'Occitane. I have visited many spas and let me tell you, when I want a massage, I do not want to make small talk! (Looking at you; Montelucia Resort, massage envy, hand & stone, W Hotel Spa and Sanctuary Spa and too many more to list here) I have gone everywhere from top tier to franchise and I find time and again the Asian approach to massage although sometimes there are some moments of discomfort, always leaves me feeling refreshed/relaxed/revived and my body definitely shows healing from whatever has been released. This is my new favorite spot and I will continue to return! It's like my Qi is flowing unobstructed, I couldn't be happier thanks to Jason. Did a a side by side with therapists Wendy and Fatia - absolutely amazing. One deep tissue (Fatia) and one swedish (Wendy)...I was the deep tissue and the pressure was amazing - this girl was strong like the Bounty dishtowel guy....an incredible massage...will definitely be back...One comical piece....I have spent a lot of time touring / working in asia - the older woman taking payment runs the place like a mamasan in General Santos City - very matter of fact - and 'all business' - I respect that! read more

There's a language barrier, which makes communication a challenge but my mom and I both had magnificent massages. The scheduler understood that we wanted separate massages at the same time (and did not prepare a couples massage, which has happened before at other places). And the masseuse understood when I requested that she work below the neck, as I don't like head massages. I asked for deep tissue and got hot stone, but it didn't matter. Firm pressure and full body - I did not want to get off the table. My mom traveled to me and pulled a muscle in her back putting her suitcase in the overhead bin and said it was the best massage she's had. Everything got worked out! The ambiance reminds me of an attic and the tables are not heated, so not a spa experience, but talented massage therapists and a great value at $100 for 75 minutes. read more

Hanan was amazing. It's my first massage in years and I've been so achy. I walked in without an appointment and the receptionist was able to take me in for a 50 minute massage right away. I was taken into a room upstairs. 50 minutes, face down only. The deep tissue massage I got left me feeling much more relaxed afterwards! The cost was $80 and I left a cash tip (the receptionist gave me an envelope...bring cash). Just a heads up...Hanan massaged my buttocks which the resort hotel spas often avoid. Wow! I got a one-hour massage from Lily and she really solved my problem. I had super tight shoulders, and my neck was hurting because I had fallen asleep in a bad position. My neck had been sore for days, and Lily gave me a very strong and effective massage. I felt so much better afterwards. Be prepared to climb two long flights of stairs if you book a massage here. I was huffing and puffing by the time I got to the level with the treatment rooms, but it was worth it. Best of all, a full 60-minute massage costs only $80. I asked for the 30 minute foot massage. The masseuse started by giving my back and shoulder a massage and I tried telling her I only wanted a foot massage not my shoulders/back, but she didn't understand me and continued. When it came for the feet, I told her I wanted more pressure but she didn't understand. And I put my timer and got only 24 minutes of massage which also included other body parts which I tried telling her only feet. I felt bad telling her to apply more pressure bc didn't want to be rude to her and tell her more than once I only wanted feet no where else. read more

Please be careful. I went there for a facial with extractions and was not initially told charges. Elena did half the face because she said it was in bad condition and asked me to come the next day when she spent 90 min and I was charged 260 + tip. Was told to come a third day for 60min and while I was laying down Elena said it might take 15more min. After the facial I was charged for those extra 15min too. $40 for 15min without informing me. Was told again to come the next day which I cancelled. I asked Elena number of times what she was using on my face and everytime she had one answer 'special medicine.' Forget the $600 that they charged me in 3 days. My face has scarring all over. Scarring that never existed. I'm planing to call BBB but plz save ur money & do some homework before going here. I went to this salon looking for a quick lip wax ($12). I called ahead and they were able to work me in for about 20 minutes later, which I appreciated. The storefront is easy to miss, but it's essentially next to and right above L'Occitane. I was seen immediately upon arrival. The technician was efficient and did an ok job, but she might have been moving a little too quickly because she got wax on my lips and some was still left after she cleaned the area. Overall, this place is fine for when I'm in a pinch, but that's about it - I will not be making it my regular spot, even though it's convenient. read more

Had a great facial experience (Antioxidant facial from a GroupOn) with their esthetician. I had no problem booking the facial at all, it was very easy, and the front desk staff were friendly and welcoming. The facial felt amazing, and she did a great job assessing my skin and making recommendations. There are quite a few mixed reviews for Qi, but I had a very good experience and would recommend it. The room in which I had the facial was very tiny and had a lot of stuff (i.e. products, etc) in it, so it felt a little crammed, but other than that, I will definitely be returning to Qi for a facial sometime soon!! read more

The Chinese tea they serve is amazing. The staff are friendly and very attentive. The facial was one of the best either of us have ever had! The Esthetician was top-notch. I've had a lot of massages and I can say with absolute certainty that this was the best massage I have ever had! I had a crazy amount of knots and was prepared to be in excruciating pain the whole time to get them out, but Hanaa was able to get them all out while causing me minimal discomfort. I was so impressed with her ability to adapt to exactly what my muscles needed, giving the time and attention to the tight areas of my back that needed the most work while not neglecting to make sure that all of my pain was relieved. To me, the sign of a good massage is that it's sustainable and you don't feel like you need another right away because your knots are actually gone. My husband and I went here for a couples massage around Valentine's Day as recommended by a friend. The price was fair, actually much cheaper than most other places. It's definitely quite hidden in Georgetown - we passed it multiple times before we found the door to enter. I will say the massage was really good, but also painful at times - my husband felt the same way. We probably should have asked for them to dial back on the pressure a little bit, and the over stretching of our limbs. My husband woke up with a pretty big bruise the next morning, which isn't uncommon after a massage, but the degree of pressure would have been our only compliant. She was also quite difficult to understand which wouldn't have been a problem if the massage was good but it wasn't. I had a massage there on Sunday. It was a gift from my husband. I have never had such a terrible experience. My masseur was causing me physical pain. I want so uncomfortable and i mentioned a few times that it was waaay to much pressure and painful. She just continued. I am so so sore today. It's like i was in an accident. Not a relaxing experience-I mentioned the experience to the front desk on my way out and the response was her saying "oh sometimes it hurts. You will be fine tomorrow ". Not the case at all. Scary place. They advertise pre-natal massage on their website. I called ahead and came by for a massage. They told me to come back. When I did, they asked if I could lay on my stomach (???).... No. No I can't. I'm 5 months pregnant and anyone who has a business advertising pre-natal massages (and really any human being) should know that women can't lay on their stomach while pregnant or on their back and are supposed to lay on their side, preferably the left. They said they didn't know about the no stomach thing and they didn't feel comfortable providing this service THAT THEY ADVERTISE ON THEIR WEBSITE AND SAID THEY COULD PROVIDE IN PERSON. What a waste of time. Their lack of knowledge makes me question whether this place even has the certification necessary to perform spa services on anyone. read more
