Kristyn was fantastic -- she listened to my goals for the session and followed through. Love the atmosphere and the customer service was wonderful. But when I called to schedule an appt. I specifically asked for a service + add-on, asked for confirmation, and was told all was in order until I found out after the visit that the add-on wasn't performed. It was a bit disappointing as it was a gift for a special someone, but they ended up having a great experience. I absolutely LOVE this place!! It smells great & their diy Apothecary Bar is really fun!! I did the infrared sauna today & it was AMAZING! Super relaxing & detoxifying. They provided eucalyptus towels which made the experience even more tranquil! I was also allowed to control the temperature of the mat I was laying on & the dome that covered my body. It was THE BEST! Not to mention that while I laid there in pure relaxation, I received phototherapy (light therapy) on my face...O..M..G, what an experience! AND it's affordable. I did 30min for $35! Had a fantastic experience at this massage studio from start to finish! When I walked in, I was greeted by a very warm and friendly receptionist. She confirmed my appointment in seconds and invited me to take a seat and to help myself to some water or tea. The lobby area where you wait is really pretty and there was great music in the background. (The music was really good actually, not the stereotypical waterfall/chimes sounds, but beautiful instrumental). My massage was with Jake, and he did a truly amazing job. He knew exactly what areas to work on and the right amount of pressure to apply. He kept checking in with me to see how I was doing and whether I wanted him to go deeper or to apply less pressure. I met Alison and she did my massage! Come to find out she's the owner! The atmosphere is so calm and the zen is EVERYTHING. Customer service is 100%. I was disappointed, I decided to really advocate for what I wanted because I could tell it was not going to be the massage I was hoping for. Stated I had SI pain and wanted to focus on that and my glute. She did none of that, so I asked to stop using oil and then she said she was going to use a little oil so I said can you press harder then, she did not. Finally being so disappointed I said can you please just focus on my left glute before I go... 2 minutes of that. I didn't come for a Swedish massage, I made that clear. This is meant more for lawyers/professionals who have a stiff back and day to day strain rather than athletes who need serious muscle fiber relaxing/lengthening. The therapist knew all the places to apply pressure and touch but the intensity was not there. 2. Great customer service! I had the beat massage ever in my life with Sandra. SHE IS MAGICAL!!! I almost don't want to say how great she is, out of the fear she will be overbooked. However, her work deserves to be shared! I have had a lot of sports injuries over the years with my knees and am very tender at just the touch. However, she understood how to work with my muscles so I could enjoy the relief of her massage. I've been getting massages regularly for years, and never have I felt the relief in my legs that I experienced with Sandra from just one session. Amazing massage. Alison is very profession and polite. One thing I like about Alison is that she always asks how my body is feeling and if I'm tense or sore any any particular area and then places extra focus on that area. My company has hired her to come to us and give massages every week. Even after giving massages all day she still has amazingly high energy and is always cheerful. Never taught that a massage in a chair could be so relaxing. It totally resets me and relaxes me for the day. I nearly melted off the table I was so relaxed!
