The spa itself is fine. No frills. Clean. The rooms are quiet enough. The bathrooms are very clean. I booked a couples massage. I booked the appointment online and put down the necessary deposit. They were running a special for the month of January- 10% off during weekdays and it included aromatherapy. The 10% off did not automatically apply and I'm pretty sure I didn't get the discount. Parking- street parking if available. We lucked up and got a spot right in front of the spa. No paying a meter was required. My massage therapist was Mike and my husband's massage therapist was Kimberly. The couple's room was tight so I could feel, see and hear every time my husband's therapist talked to him or when she moved. My husband felt that Kimberly just couldn't get the pressure right even though she asked. He also felt like she took a break after every touch so there was awkwardly long waiting periods. He said her touch was often too soft even though he told her the pressure wasn't enough. She was pleasant; notwithstanding, she just wasn't the right therapist for him. Mike also asked me once about the pressure and at the time, it was okay. As the massage went on, it became uncomfortable. In all fairness, I should've spoken up. The elbow and forearm down the back and around the shoulders was the most painful. We got the massages on Monday morning and I'm still in pain on Wednesday. This is the first time I've asked for a male massage therapist and boy could I tell the difference. The pressure alone was intense. The best part was the scalp rub and the lavender scent (although there was something mid-massage that smelled like mildew). When asked what areas of focus before starting, I mentioned that I wanted my mid-back and arms focused on because I have carpal tunnel. Those areas weren't paid any special attention--they were simply apart of the regularly scheduled program - upper left, then upper right, then lower left, the lower right, then flip and repeat and end with scalp. This was the process for both my husband and I though he was flipped front a lot sooner than I was. Overall, I wouldn't mind returning if I'm in the area and trying another therapist. read more

Just had an amazing signature massage from Yordanos. Most definitely the best massage I've ever had. She's thorough and doesn't rush.

We went for 60 minute massages. Hubby had Membi and thought she was great. I had Carlos who was unfortunately clearly sick (sniffing and coughing, not wearing a mask). Symptoms were not apparent until 10-15 minutes in, while I was face down. This made the massage very uncomfortable and not at all relaxing. His phone also started ringing during the massage! I will definitely return but will not book again with Carlos. Bluebell should make sure their therapists are not working while ill and have time off until asymptomatic. read more

I can't say enough good things about Bluebell Spa! Over time I've tried multiple massage therapists there and (with one notable exception) have been pleased with them all. But I am so glad to have finally found Jay because he stands head and shoulders -- far, far, FAR above all the rest. His understanding of human anatomy and use of various massage techniques are simply unmatched! Jay is patient, communicative, respectful, generous, and highly skilled. I have extremely tight hips, and Jay gives an amazing 90 minute massage that really helps loosen them and reduce pain in my lower back, upper back, and neck. He's very communicative throughout the session and encourages clients to do the same so the massage is as effective as possible. I'll start with the positive. The ambiance was amazing with calming music playing throughout the space, aromatics being sprayed throughout, and all being tied together by the decor. My experience took a major left when during my massage my masseuse began rubbing my feet, when i explicitly noted in my intake form that i did not want my feet touched. Furthermore about 15 minutes into my massage my masseuse coughed and i simultaneously felt SPIT land on my back. For personal reasons i did not feel comfortable expressing my disgust and discomfort. Lastly, this was a couples massage and as my partner and I are recapping our experience he said his masseuse provided hot oil and hot stones during his massage. Neither of which I received. Overall it was my first and last time ever getting a professional massage. I'm sure the spa itself is great, unfortunately my masseuse was not. read more

My appointment got canceled an hour before I was scheduled to be there. I was NOT happy about that as it was impossible for me to rebook with anyone else at the last minute. They did try to reschedule but the times simply wouldn't have worked with our schedules since it was two of us going in for service. I don't live in the area and it was supposed to be a getaway trip with pampering and relaxation so it definitely put a damper on things. Sadly they came recommended in a Facebook group so I had to let the group know things didn't work out. I don't write reviews often, but I had to take a moment to give Ms. Yordanos her flowers. The lymphatic drainage massage I received from her was one of the best body treatments I've ever had. She was so thoughtful and intentional in her approach: gentle, but effective. I walked in feeling sluggish and a little off, and I walked out feeling lighter, more relaxed, and completely reset. It wasn't just a massage, it felt like she was helping my body find its balance again. The space was clean and peaceful, and she created an atmosphere that made it easy to fully relax. She explained everything in a way that was informative but calming, and you can tell she truly cares about her clients. If you're thinking about booking, do it. Great spa place in the city! Easy booking online, FREE parking in front of the building and friendly staff. Make sure you arrive on time because they request that arrive 5 minutes early for check in. This place is very clean and have tea and water in the waiting room as well. I ended up getting a sports massage which was phenomenal! I usually go to her for deep tissue massages, but today I tried a lympathic massage for the first time and let me tell you, I'm amazed! Not only was I so relaxed that I dozed off a few times, but I could instantly feel the changes in the fluid around my ankle from a past injury. Mind blown. I can't tell you enough good things about Ella and her level of expertise. My dilemma now, is which massage type to book for my next visit. On to the facials. Bluebell is my go to spa for facials. I started coming here for facials in 2019, and am glad that it's safe to start going back for them now. The entire staff is vaccinated, and they take a lot of precautions to ensure everyone is safe. I used to see Ms. Ana for facials (and one time she gave me a complimentary shoulder and neck massage when I told her I had tweaked it, and I was hurting), and she always got my skin looking perfect. Ms. Ana has left, and so I started seeing Ms. Karina. Ms. Karina is just plainly so good. Even the extractions are gentle. I was so relaxed I was falling asleep on the table. It's a bit on the pricey side, but given the challenges of the pandemic on the spa industry, I will gladly pay more for Bluebell's services to keep them afloat and to continue to support their masterful facials. read more

My husband booked an evening couples massage for our anniversary in late March. The 2 ladies that provided the massage services were excellent. However, in the middle of our massage, the sink in the room which was made of glass exploded. Glass went everywhere and some even hit my husband. We were moved to another room to complete the massage, but that really put a damper on the experience and it scared me. My husband didn't want to make a fuss because it was our special night and honestly we were just ready to leave since we had already missed our dinner reservations and needed to find another place to eat at. But I do think that management should have reached out and compensated us for the inconvenience. I would recommend this place ONLY because of the excellent service the masseuses provided. This place is a hidden gem -- literally, it's so inconspicuous, you'd never know to walk in off the street (which is probably to the benefit of the many avid clients who are regular customers here). The place itself is tiny, but the individual rooms are lovely, clean and well appointed. The staff is friendly as well. My masseuse Almaz has magical hands. I went to her for a regular massage, and she knows just how to find the knots and apply pressure in a way that feels so soothing and therapeutic at the same time. Her default pressure is medium-firm, and it's just perfect for me. But what I am here to especially rave about is that Almaz gives heavenly prenatal massages. She uses one of the bolsters with the belly and breast cutouts, FYI, which I enjoyed after doing a prenatal massage here with another masseuse on my side (Almaz was out sick at the time). The other masseuse was so hesitant to apply any real pressure, and wouldn't touch my feet at all even though I told her my feet hurt. Almaz, however, gave me as wonderful a prenatal massage as a regular massage, and I'm so glad I bought the package so I can treat myself to these heavenly massages the rest of my pregnancy (and after!). read more

For Brazilian they use different wax and I just asked to tell me about the wax, and women got mad on me for my 2 questions (1st I asked if she CAN use Lycon and she said no, do you want to cancel appointment, 2nd I asked to tell me about wax that she gonna use and with huge attitude she just told me what it's hard wax and I'm mot gonna do it, I'm Canceling your appointment). And I was already on the table, naked, and super pregnant m, for me every move it's difficult. She got very short with me, made me super nerves, uncomfortable, my heart bit jump up....
