this place is very dependent on the threader(is that what they are called?) i like this location because of its proximity and plenty of free parking nearby, some of the threaders(yeah im just gonna keep using that term) are good, but some are exquisitely bad. the one today was in the latter category. i have full, thick brows and they look good even when they are NOT threaded(hey i tried to be humble, but ...it...didnt..work..). on occasion, i will get them threaded for a more refined look. the threader today did not do that. one of my brows got hair removed excessively and looked uneven by comparison and there were no sharp lines. i did point this out to the threader(who willl remain nameless) who insisted everything was good. she also applied lotion to my brows without asking me first, which is made my face all itchy and i washed it off immediately. i usually get an astringent like witch hazel, which P.E. has too but the threader usually will ask me first what I want. gee, gosh damn , is that so hard? anyway, once a threader messes up, i do NOT want them to fix it, bc that usually makes it worse...way worse. so i will have to get creative with my pencil and mascara brush. and honestly, im very irritated. im putting my pic from today and one from another salon where i got my brows done before.picture is worth a thousand brows after all. btw, i PREFER the P.E. in tysons corner mall, i have NEVER had any issues there. read more

My mom loves this place but always goes on a weekday. She finally took me there on a Saturday and we were both unhappy with our experience. The woman working on Saturday was a young woman, petite, long hair. The shape of my eyebrow was overplucked, one eyebrow is indented in. You're not supposed to make my eyebrows less inches in length. My mother had the same experience. When the eyebrow person put the final liquid on my eyebrow it stung! When I later looked in the mirror I had a ton of cuts on my skin! I see that Kiora B. sara g. had the exact same experience as me. Bizarre that the business owner would ask a reviewer "which location did you go to in mall because there are multiple threading store" so condescending, we know which business we are leaving a review for. Shape is quite nice, though thinner than the "natural" cleanup I asked for. The person doing the threading was nice, but needs more training. Too firm and threads over and over (unecessarily) on the same place. I thread specifically because it is gentler than waxing. However, it's the next day I have abrasions on my eyelids :( Will stick with Silky in Dupont or go back to Guven Salon. read more

Stay away from this place to save your eyebrows! I am a customer and extremely dissatisfied with the service of a girl named Mina. She is extremely rude, unprofessional, not clean and she doesn't know how to do eyebrows at all. There is another girl who is extremely polite and does an excellent work on my eyebrows but she is rarely there so every time I run into Mina and deeply regret it . Mina did the following: 1. Ruined my eyebrows which takes me weeks to grow back ( charging me $35 for each session) A) first time she apologized that ruined it ; B) second time she said would do it better as she has been doing it for a very long time and again it was a very poor rushed unprofessional service C) third time I came In she totally ruined my eyebrows saying at the end to me that's she sort of hates me and she somehow ruined it on purpose. Is this what you want to hear from a person who just worked on your eyebrows? 2 she refused to give me managers information to leave a feedback and ask for another girl schedule 3 Mina told me that (into my face) my eye brows are ugly and she can't do anything about it . Seriously ? When she was the one who ruined it. I came here recently for a brow and lip wax. I prefer waxing to threading, so maybe they do threading better, but my waxing experience wasn't great. The esthetician asked me to tell her if the wax was too hot. It felt fine at the time, but unfortunately, I now have serious burns on my skin and a small part of my skin was actually ripped off... and some of the hairs are still there! I will not but coming back but PLEASE tell them to lower the wax temperature or blow on it even if it doesn't feel hot. So disappointed. Wasted $$ and burned skin. read more

Don't go. I got a full face threading at the Wisconsin Ave location. The technician injured the skin under my left eye with aggressive threading (painful redness with bumps and burning). When I asked what on earth was wrong with my skin (which looked like a chemical burn), she could barely communicate and simply said that my skin was too sensitive. Although the redness and swelling went away after an hour, I have tiny cuts all along the cheek bone going up toward my eye and under both of my eyebrows. Although she was polite, the technician did not communicate at all or explain what she was going to do, she only gave barely understandable commands and could not answer my questions due to a possible language barrier. Worse still, she overall made my eyebrows uneven (one is now thicker and longer). I'd spent months improving them only to have this set back despite telling her that I wanted to keep them long and even. Never again. read more

After my previous bad experience here I went the Perfect Eyebrows at Springfield Mall. I heard one of the employees from that store also works at this store so I came back to this location. I highly recommend Mina she's really good! Because of her I gave this place a second chance and I am satisfied with my results. Be careful going here to get your henna tattoos done! I went here last Friday, and I was ripped off. I was charged $130.00! The post on the window clearly says $15+. Yes, I have both of my arms tattooed up to my elbows, but why charge a first time customer for so much? Did not even mention anything, about charges until my tattoos were finished. The girl Komal did my tattoos. I even called corporate yesterday, and the guy said there was nothing he could do. Also, she had to take care of other customers, who needed their eyebrows done in between my tattoo session. Yes, her co worker was sick, but that's still not a good look. So instead of my session lasting from 1:30-2:30pm, it lasted until 4:30pm. What the fuck type of customer satisfying type of service is that? I will never stop by here ever again. 15 years later, after coming back from Pakistan, this is what I have to experience? In Pakistan, at least I wasn't charged, plus my tattoos lasted longer than 4 days. My friends are even shocked, that I was charged that much. One of my friends yesterday, said I should have been charged at least $50-70. I can agree with that. Also they only offer a student discount for eyebrows. Are you serious? That's so lame! read more

I never have a reason to write a bad review. However, my last experience here at the Georgetown was the worst. I went on a Saturday & there was a young woman there who did my brows. ( I think the same one who someone else wrote a bad review about) Ive been there a couple times before and my eyebrows looked great. This time though, this woman made a mockery of my eyebrows. I showed her a picture of how I liked my eyebrows to be shaped, and also showed her a picture of my eyebrows when I previously got them done there. She told me I don't have enough hairs on my brows for that and she told me they would be thin & I told her that was fine but she continued to tell me how I can't have my eyebrows shaped like that. I said okay. Then, she does my brows & leaves stray hairs all over my brows and said maybe you can get your eyebrows like the way you want when they grow in. How??? She completely messed up my brows. I haven't been back since and I don't think I would return. Save yourself the time and stress by not even going. read more

Don't bother getting your eyebrows tinted here. While Anita did a great job tinting my eyebrows, they only lasted for 2 days. I got them done Sunday evening and by Tuesday evening all the color disappeared. Worst $20 spent. read more

I came in for a tint as I didn't feel I need to be threaded and she repeatedly told me how bad they were how much I needed a threading. She proceeded with the tint in which she left them on for so long I have rings around the corners of my eyebrows and as I was on the way out proceeded to tell me one last time how badly my eyebrows looked. Wasn't happy with my last threading experience here. The woman finished up very quickly and upon inspecting my eyebrows, it was extremely obvious she left a ton of stray hairs. She did a really bad job. So I asked her to take a second look and she proceeded to thread some more. I looked again and there were still obvious stray hairs. I gave up as she was obviously not going to do a good job and I was nervous that asking her again to fix them would result in her completely botching my eyebrows. Separately, the customer service was horrible and she barely spoke to me. I don't care about that so much as I care about the fact I just paid to have my eyebrows threaded and now have to TWEEZE them at home to finish the job. The owner of this salon needs to know what's going on. This was a bad experience and I won't be returning as long as I see this woman is working here. I can't imagine other women will be satisfied with how this woman is threading eyebrows. read more

I decided to go here today during my break because I noticed they did eyebrow tinting. I had been looking for a good place to get my eyebrows tinted from quite some time. I found a place in Dupont, but the tint only lasted a couple of days. I gave this place a try when the lady inside (wish I had gotten her name) told me it would last 3 weeks. I went with a black tint to match my hair and am quite please with the result. And not bad for $20. If it last as long as she says (or even 2 weeks), I will definitely be back. I want to try threading because I've only done it once and had a bad experience. I'll write an updated review later. read more

I've been here 4 times since they opened, and I regret that this is the first time I've written a review. But hopefully the fact that I'm a very happy repeat customer will speak volumes. Everyone I've seen has a polite and friendly demeanor. I recommend Reshma, but both ladies (that I have seen... there may be more) are just wonderful and definitely respond well to direction. The shop itself is very bright, clean, and organized. It's also very conveniently located in a building with an attached parking garage, in case you need to drive here. And you can't beat the price: $12 is a bargain for this area. I hope they manage to secure a good clientele base here in the neighborhood because I'd love for them to stick around. I've visited this location multiple times and haven't been disappointed. They do a great job shaping brows without making them too thin. Threaders do a great job understanding desired shape and ask permission before trimming or applying lotion. I will continue to visit Perfect Eyebrows. My only complaint is that they are a bit pricey. read more

Really like this threading salon because it's close to home and the staff is always friendly. Only reason I don't give 5 stars is because they don't offer many student discounts, which is surprising given the fact that they are located so close to many university campuses, especially Georgetown, and the surrounding area where many students live. My review is a bit mixed because my skin is sensitive and this is the only place I've had threading done. So it is possible that it is just my skin and that it won't tolerate threading. However, I've walked away bleeding both times I've gone. The first wasn't that bad and my eyebrows were great. However, the second time I had a number of scabs for a week or so afterwards. This review is for Mina. Prior to coming to this location I would get my eyebrows done at a mall and see a different person each time. While my eyebrows would look decent they were never consistent. I visited this location in July and Mina took the time to do a consultation. After threading my eyebrows she informed me that in order for them to be perfect, I needed to wait 3 months for them to properly grow. I waited and came back and am very happy with the results. Mina takes the time to explain your brows to you and offers great advice on how to maintain them properly. I will definitely be getting my eyebrows done by her from now on. read more

I went here last Fri. Sept. 14th to get a Henna tattoo on my hand. Mina was very informative on the types of henna she could do, what would look good, etc. She took her time and explained everything to me in great detail. She really was a sweetheart. The only reason why I give 4 stars instead of 5 is because today (one week later) my entire Henna tattoo is gone! I've gotten it done before and know that they last longer than 1 week. So that's a bummer. I'm not sure if you guys should invest in better henna ink or what. But I would return to see Mina because she was wonderful! read more

I am very sad to report that I did not have a positive experience at Perfect Eyebrows on Wisconsin. I normally go to Shohba in DuPont, but was running errands so decided to give Perfect Eyebrows a whirl. My left eyebrow is botched. I went at 10am today and saw the only woman working. I later found out that she was brand new to threading - a detail I would have appreciated to know in advance. I am very perplexed as to why a newbie was providing services unsupervised. I told her that I was GROWING out my eyebrows so I didn't want to take much off and to clean the stragglers, but not touch the shape. I thought there may have been a language barrier so I also pointed to the areas. She took a very long time on the first brow and when she gave me the mirror I saw that she had take off an entire row my eyebrow. She had removed so many hairs from the base! The shape was ruined. I have never had such a traumatic threading experience. I went back to Shohba and it will take months to grow out. Now I have to spend 20 minutes everyday trying to draw - yes, draw because there's nothing to fill in - some semblance of a left eyebrow. Only silver lining is that I did not let her finish with the right eyebrow. Obviously I will not be back and miss my left eyebrow. read more
