I have the thinnest, widest and most uneven brows ever. When i ask for cleaning, most threaders usually give me block shaped brow (like someone crayoned them in). I stopped going to other threaders when I met Nee-mu (I may be butchering her name). I know she rotates at several DuPont threading locations however she can always be found at the Columbia height location every Saturday (you can always call to confirm her location). When she does my brows, i always feel confident because she cleans them beautifully. Given that our brows are the focal point of our face during this pandemic, perfect brows are a must!! read more

For under $15 this is a great go-to place, no appointment needed and the ladies do a solid job each time. They leave your eyebrows thicker if that is what you desire and you leave minimally red. Easily accessible to Columbia heights area/metro, with lots of open hours would definitely return. read more

This is my go to threading spot in DC. I've only been to the Columbia heights location but I've been several times for eyebrow threading and are always consistent and clean. Eyebrow threading GONE WRONG. Went here because the reviews were good. Got upper lip and eyebrows threaded. Did a great job on the lip. Looked like the eyebrows were good when I was at the salon. After I left and wiped my face and the eyebrow hairs that I assume were brushed into place to cover this gap that was threaded off moved and that is when I saw the gap in my eyebrow (pictured left near the front). I'm really upset as this will take a while to grow back in and is very obvious. Very disappointed that the woman who did my eyebrows brushed my eyebrow hair over it so I therefore didn't notice until it was too late. Wish I could get my money and the piece of my eyebrow back. Will not be going back here. I do not recommend. Extremely disappointed. read more

I try to always give Dupont threading chances and this time my visit was unpleasant. I asked for a clean up and to leave the shape and length and to be careful in the middle because I was growing it out. She shortened my right eyebrow and when I made a comment about it, they tried to excuse it. And then there was a huge spot she missed in the middle. Like I have said, I have tried Dupont Threading numerous times and they still disappoint me. They aren't personable and do not listen to you. It is a shame that there are not more threading places nearby, but I will continue to go somewhere else if I can get what I want. read more

Terrible experience the third time around with eyebrow threading! I called in to make an appointment with someone I had read good review about and they told me to come in. When I arrived the assigned me instead to Natasha, whom I've been specifically trying to avoid since she hadn't done a good job the past couple of times. She "finished the work" under 1 minute in a haste to rush to her next customer and made an apologetic remark that my brows already looked good and that there was not much to do. In her rush, she damaged my upper eyelid skin - I am pissed! Look why she did and it looks even worse in real life. I felt very comfortable getting service as they're taking important precautions to protect clients. My temperature was checked upon arrival, I sanitized my hands, and my tech washed her hands and sanitized the chair before/after I sat down for service. They opened up this location about a year ago and I'm so happy they did! The location is very convenient and all the techs I've had are great. However, Nisha has been the best in my opinion. She works at this location on Saturdays. I had been on the hunt for a good eyebrow spot since I moved here, and finally found it. There's hardly ever a wait and they're quick with their services. Reasonably priced and they don't go too thin with your brow line. I also have sensitive skin and am prone to breakouts, which is why I had to move from waxing to threading. They use rose water to soothe your skin after and I've had no skin irritations after threading. Overall a great spot - highly recommend! read more

This location is much more convenient than the location in Dupont but I wasn't satisfied the two times I went here. First problem is sanitation. They don't wipe the chair after each customer. Last time I went it was covered in hair product from the last women who came in with still wet hair. Ew. She also didn't wash her hands in between customers. The brush they use to wipe the excess hair wasn't clean and the tweezers weren't sanitized either. I know these are small things and probably fine, but really they should make more of an effort. The shop is clean looking otherwise. My eyebrows usually end up not having a defined arch. She also seems to be hesitant to trim them so I end up with scraggly hairs that I have to ask her to cut. I really wanted to like this place but I wasn't impressed. read more

I came here yesterday and gave one of the workers very specific instructions she went against everything I said and now I have the most thin eyebrows. Your eyebrows are the main part of your face and I hate them so much I don't know what I can do to fix this until they grow in and it takes mine such a long time especially since they are paper thin. I have mixed feelings about this place. The location is convenient and the prices are good but it's definitely a no frills establishment with mediocre service. When I came in, the place was pretty empty and two girls were working that didn't even seem old enough to be doing eyebrows however I was in a rush and I still decided to get serviced. I sat in the chair and the girl didn't sanitize or wipe the area before she started threading my eyebrows which was a red flag but I kept going. She was very attentive and definitely listen to how I wanted my eyebrows done and checked in to make sure that they looked how I wanted them to. I left feeling pretty satisfied however later upon further inspection I realized that my eyebrows are pretty uneven and she had cut me. Not a major cut but there is a slice on my brow bone. Very disappointing: I've been wanting to check out this place because of its convenient location. Location: It definitely gets 5 stars for its location but other than that I have nothing positive to say. Rushed: I paid over $23 for eyebrow and upper lip. The person who did it rushed and when I asked her to remove hair in the areas she missed, she argued that she got it. Before I left, I checked the mirror one last time and it looked like I didn't even get anything threaded. Rude: I asked another employee to thread my brows and upper lip, which she kindly did but the employees were rude. The first lady rudely yelled "did I miss something?!" I went in to get an underarm waxing. They get 1 star for sanitary. The woman kept double dipping the same stick in the wax and when we were done she left the stick she used on me in the pot. I love DuPont threading! I have been going here for four years. When I saw they opened right next to where I live I was so happy!! I don't get my eyebrows done as much as I need to because I have to trek to DuPont, and now that they are literally steps away I am so happy. Angeline did my eyebrows and she was great!
