She ruined my eyebrow shape completely. I came in with very thick eyebrows and I asked for them to be a little bit thinner and she was very heavy handed, very aggressive with the eyebrow threading. I have been getting my eyebrows done for years now and I have never needed to stop a couple seconds in due to how bad the pain was. The pain was so intolerable I had to keep taking breaks. After the horrible pain I finally got to see my eyebrows just for them to be pencil thin with zero shape like I had them before. I do NOT recommend. read more

Starting with the good: speedy, walk-ins welcomed, and reasonably priced at $14 for brow threading. The bad: I wasn't asked any questions about the shape or even service that I was there for, she just started hacking away at my brows. Thankfully I was indeed there for brow threading, but the shape & thickness of my brows were compromised. Perhaps it is because she finished my brows at closing time (7pm on the dot) and there was another walk-in waiting to do her brows and sideburns? I walked in with full brows and only wanted them to be cleaned up, but was okay with losing some fullness if the shape improved (not that she bothered to ask). I walked out with uneven eyebrows that are much too thin so there's no option other than to even them out with make up while my left brow grows back in and eventually is reshaped to match. read more

She was quick and painless. This was very impressive because I have not had my eyebrows threaded in about 6 months. Normally after waiting so long I would be clinching my teeth and jaws each thread. Happy Friday! Started off my Friday with a trip to Columbia Threading, and boy what a great experience I had. My boyfriend and I are in DC for a staycation (a great way for a change of environment may I add!) and as we have a dinner date scheduled for later tonight, I figured I would do some self care today. I actually was looking for a hair store to pick up some products, and when I left the store, I stumbled upon this place which was right next door. Its like the universe was looking out for your girl. I went in and automatically felt warm vibes! The ladies there are pleasant, and one of them named Angela, is a sweetheart. We chatted a little bit while she did her work, and she took her time!! Made sure it was to my liking. One thing I really like about her technique is that she likes to keep her clients eyebrows full without thinning it out too much, all the while creating the arch that we all know and love. But quite honestly, I must say after many threading experiences, this has to be the worst eye brow turn out for me. My eyebrows are naturally thick and full so I'm really not hard to please, but I barely look as if I gotten anything done. When I entered there were 3 people in front of me. She moves really fast but usually when that's the case the person does a great job. I looked at one of the brows ladies before me and I didn't really like it but it didn't stop me from getting in the seat. I really wanted to love this place for waxing. I went in yesterday to get my underarms waxed and I got a wax burn. Please be careful. I also got my eyebrows threaded, they were thinner on one side than the other & thiner than what I asked but whatever they will grow out. It is my burnt underarms that I am upset about. read more

After coming home to take a good look at my eyebrows, I HAD to make a post. This is my very first time experiencing eyebrow threading so I didn't know what to expect. So, I made an appointment via Yelp and quickly received a response. Once I arrived, I was quickly greeted by Angela. She was so nice and her customer service was impeccable. Her space is a little hole in the wall right off of Georgia, but I can always find parking on the side streets near it. She charges $12 for eyebrows and has never disappointed. She always checks with you after to make sure you are happy, and he genuinely wants to give you the look you want. If you want any touch ups she is happy to make them. The owner is so sweet, and detailed. She doesn't just ask how you want your brows..she will access the state of your brows and give you feedback before she starts. That put me at ease that she was threading my eyebrows not just based on my request but based on my particular brows and face. She does great providing natural, thick but manicured brows which is my preference and she is quick, and I am not sure if it is just me but it is far more painless than other threaders I have gone to.
