Love Columbia threading! I started coming here at the start of the pandemic. I've been impressed with how they have handled the Covid restrictions and always put customers first. Angela does an incredible job on the brows and makes sure to check in before and after her threading. The place is clean, welcoming, and very accessible. I usually have no problem parking right in front and they are usually very accommodating with walk ins. I used to go to a more expensive, trendy location in DuPont, but got tired of feeling like my preferences were ignored and I was just a number. Angela makes sure to make her customers feel comfortable and heeds to your needs and direction. Your brows are important! Go somewhere you can trust for a reasonable price. I went here about a month ago and I am so upset that I forget the name of the lady who did my wax but I believe this business has two women working there, with both of them equally experienced. I got a Brazilian wax and it was a great experience! She was quick and efficient- I felt extremely comfortable. I have been in DC since 2009 (thanks Howard U!) and have been stuck here ever since. I've been looking for a new brow place ever since my old person retired and Columbia threading did not disappoint! It was super clean and inviting, and Pooja did a great job--my brows look wonderful. And you can't beat the price--$10 is affordable and competitive. I'd recommend! Update: Perhaps it's just me, but when my eyebrows are threaded, it only lasts for a week before they need to be redone. Not sure if this is the case for others, but I think I'll stick to waxing. read more

Heard about this place from a friend. I had never gotten my eyebrows threaded (mostly out of fear of the pain) so I was nervous! However, it was my homecoming and I had been breaking out from waxes so I decided to try. Honestly, I'm a big baby and the "pain" was non-existent. Just wanted to mention that they are also fantastic at doing men's eyebrows as well! I was very comfortable there and she was very responsive to how I asked her to do my brows. She didn't treat me any differently for being a man (which I'm sad to say has been my experience at other places I've gotten threading done). Very, very happy with how they came out, and prices were fair. Cash is preferred, but not totally necessary. I think you just pay a dollar or two more for using a card. I was in desperate need of some eyebrow threading and I was really conflicted about where I should go. Usually I would go to DuPont threading on 18th Street, but I've left disappointed for the last several times. Columbia Threading is a new spot and my tech was AMAZING. I've been looking for a place like this one for the three years I've lived in the area and no other place around here can compare to the precision and technique used here. Eyebrows are everything. I have never been as happy with my brows until I found Columbia Threading. My first appointment here was last year and it was the first time I was actually completely satisfied with my brows! With most brow artists they try to change your arch shape or take too much off. Angela leaves them full and perfectly shaped, considering your natural arch. Went on a mid-day Sunday, and it was quiet - perhaps because it's still new. I planned to wax my upper lip, but Angela busted out the thread and I figured, why not go for it. I didn't think it would be as clean and thorough as waxing, but Angela showed me how to position my tongue from inside my mouth and it came out clean, with minimal irritation (I'd probably get the same amount of redness from waxing as well). I figured by then I might as well clean up my eyebrows, and Angela did her best to make them more like twins than sisters! I'm lucky to have come during a downtime, but I expect it to get busier as more people learn of it. Definitely recommended! read more

I was looking for an affordable threading place in DC since I just moved here! I stumbled here as it looked to be the most affordable. I went in on a Saturday afternoon (around 6pm) and the place was empty so I was seated immediately. The woman who did my eyebrows (didn't get her name) was super kind, quick, and knew exactly what to do with my eyebrows. I told her I didn't want them too thin and just needed a clean up. She left them looking great and I am very pleased with the results. It's a bit out of my way but I'll definitely be coming back. read more

I am new to the area and really wanted to find a great eyebrow threading place in the DMV! I did some research and Columbia Threading came right up and had five stars! My eyebrows were a complete mess because the last place I got them threaded, ruined them. They were uneven, choppy and I was trying to let them grow out. Angela saved my brows! Seriously. You could never tell that I was going through a struggle after leaving Columbia Threading. She was quick, friendly, and the customer service was great. Angela was awesome! I have very thick and curly eyebrows that grow so fast. My eyebrows were threaded, but specifically more "cleaned up". I like them to remain thick and not raked thin, and I appreciate that Angela realized this. She performed the technique quickly and with care. I've lived nearby for going on 5 years and was so frustrated that basically all of the threading places in the city were downtown- making it so inconvenient to get to when you figure in parking. But I was driving down GA Ave one day and spotted Columbia Threading and just knew I had to check it out- and I am so glad that I did!
