I was getting lash removal & a new set of classic/hybrid lashes. I've been getting eyelash extensions for 13 years and this is by far the worst experience I've ever had. They were thin, whispy, pre-made fans that were poorly glued onto only some of my lashes. They started falling off almost immediately, and there were visible white clumps of glue that a friend pointed out because she thought I had crumbs on my eyes. One week later when I went to another eyelash studio, they couldn't even tell I had any extensions on until they put me under the lights. I would've been better off just curling my own lashes & using mascara because mine are thicker & longer than whatever they used. I've never had such poor quality.

She is an expert waxer, it was virtually painless and we chatted the entire time. I've been a member at Sugar + Bronzed for about a year and my first experience was in LA. I joined because it was the best wax I'd ever experienced with very little pain. They are pros. Since the opening of the Georgetown location the wax experience hasn't been as pleasant. It has been very uncharacteristically ROUGH. Like Fox on the chair meme stunned afterward. I'm not sure if it's less experience as Sugar + Bronzed is very new to DC but it doesn't feel like LA or my experience with Bailey. The ladies are otherwise very sweet with great customer service. This must be the worst facial I have had in my (pretty long) life. While the products seem of good…read morequality (the brands they sell are good ones and I assume they are the ones they use), the esthetician I got seemed to be a trainee who just did not know how to do a proper facial. In particular when massaging around the eyes, she would touch the eyelid and get cream onto the eyelids and thus eventually into the eye. She was also wearing a stained uniform and frankly did not seem to want to be there. I am well aware that a single, insufficiently trained employee does not mean there aren't really good ones working there, but there should be a minimum level of competence ensured by the franchise especially for a $180 50 mn service. I certainly will never return to any silver mirror.
