I asked for subtle, partial highlights and I got my hair bleached into haphazard stripes. I don't even think any color was applied when I wanted subtle light brown. Not bleach blonde. I contacted them to let them know that I was unhappy with the color and wanted it fixed and they never responded. Couldn't go out in public like this so just fixed it myself at home and did a much better job with a $10 box than what they did in 2 hrs for $200 UPDATE: To clarify Kathy's comment, there is NO confusion. I've spent two weeks traveling on planes and staying in uncomfortable hotel beds so I was in dire need of a massage. Showed up today at 2:50pm for my 3pm massage and I was not scheduled. Are you kidding me?!?! The male front desk staff member was ridiculously AGGRESSIVE with me. Was he going to physically attack me next? Why was he so angry? I should be the angry and frustrated one! I explained to him that I spoke with him on Thursday to schedule this (he said he recalls speaking with me) and that I'm in dire need of a massage after all this traveling. He said "I accept culpability for not setting up your appointment". I asked what my options were and requested that they pay for my meter since I spent 30 min driving here, parking and then having to drive 30 min back. He didn't want to help me - he became irate and said that he needed to excuse himself. If you cannot handle a simple situation like this then you should not be in customer service. I spoke with the owner and manager and requested a refund for the 2 massages that I prepaid for after this overly aggressive employee. This salon is not capable of getting hair color right. My stylist, Van, could not understand me (language barrier), and I could not understand her (language dialect barrier). Salon Manager Nancy told her, "a smidgin darker" than her existing color (dark blonde/light brown), use 30 lift, and leave in 35 minutes because her hair may be color resistant. That helped me recall that Nancy colored my hair near black five years ago. I thought, given she got involved, she had learned how to use hair color. Not the case. I've come to Spa Logic a few times over the years, usually with the spa day Groupon where you get a facial, massage, and mani/pedi all in one visit. It does feel really nice to be pampered, and the staff does treat you like you're a VIP doing multiple services. The services are all on different floors (it's an old triple decker house) with narrow hallways, so it can be a bit difficult getting around when it's busy. I have been there just for acupressure massage, where you sit in a chair in a communal room and get your head, hands, and feet rubbed and that's always been fantastic. The best part are the nails. I've never had a bad mani/pedi there. It does get a bit cramped as they have a lot of stations crammed into a long basement space so it can be a bit hectic. The facials are fine, I've never really felt like my skin was different after them (whereas I do with other facialists), and they've upsold me on other (ineffectual) services previously. However, the regular massages haven't been great. Specifically I'm thinking of my last visit for the triple service a few years ago. I went for my birthday, and got paired with a male massage therapist (I don't remember his name). When I was going over what I wanted him to focus on, I mentioned that I had been holding a lot of stress in my jaw. He insisted that it was TMJ, despite me, the owner of said jaw, insisting it wasn't. He basically pushed me into sharing more of my own health information than he needed to know, and peppered me with questions during my service about my health conditions once I stopped answering those questions. He also frequently shared his views about things, including that people shouldn't use the term "partner" to refer to the spouse or significant other unless they were also business partners. Why. Did. Although sometimes I'm in the mood for a simple design like this one, she does amazing nail art! Before my trip to Disney World, she created the cutest Mickey nail art and I got so many compliments! Then the masseuse (Fatiha) led me upstairs and down a narrow hallway to one of the massage rooms. The rooms was pretty small and had dark lighting. She stepped out so I could get ready for the massage. She was professional and asked me what type of pressure I liked. The massage was very soothing. I was happy with the service. I have been to 20+ spas in the DMV area and I had a horrible experience with my nail appointment. I had a full set with gel and they were not what I asked for and the language barrier was not an excuse as I showed the nail tech a photo as they pretended they didn't know what I was trying to portray. However, that wasn't the only thing, and my nails came off the next day with the slightest touch. All the nails came off as if they were from the drug store with no effort. Mind you, this was $82 for a full set I paid for and tipped! I am HORRIFIED and I have two nails that have swelled and now have puss coming out of them I will be pursuing charges as the hygiene and service was not clean and rude. I also understand the language as I am bilingual and they were completely rude. Even though they smiled and seemed attentive. I do not recommend this at all. Photos are rather gory and don't feel comfortable sharing until charges are pressed. To include unforeseen charges at the end of services that were not disclosed during initial intake. boy, the quality of the service has gone way down in the last couple of years, which is weird because they're trying to do a revamp. the nail technicians are actually pretty good but the front desk scheduling has been a nightmare over the last year or so. I've been going to Spa Logic since 2020. In the past 4 years I've gotten hair cuts, blowouts, massages, facials, and nails done at the Spa. The place bills itself as a one stop shop for all your beauty services. My favorite hair stylist is Rachel and my favorite aesthetician is Fatiha because they both listen and provide excellent service. I've been paying a $3 service fee every time and it's never been explained to me what it's for. You can ask to waive it but it is all dependent on who you get at checkout. I suggest to management to reconsider the service fee and at the very least provide an explanation to clients what it is for. I'll leave a review for the nails separately. read more

The staff (Alajah did an amazing Facial!) were very friendly and knowledgeable in their work. I had a facial, a full body massage, and a gel pedicure. Everyone was attentive and asked if I needed anything before/after being serviced. I've been here before but only for my nails. My pedicure could have gone more smoothly, one technician started and another had to finish. She might have been new. But, if you need a relaxing and rejuvenating spa experience definitely come here. Disappointed in the lack of attention to detail and overpricing . She cut one toenail too short and at an angle. So in order to correct it, she has to file it down even further. Then tried to convince me that it would grow out more even when it wasn't uneven to begin with. I had to watch her closely to make sure my mani shape was correct and both hands matched each other. Even when painting, I had to ask her to catch the side of the nail. I thought it was just the technician but then the bill comes and their pricing is ridiculous. They charge for taking gel polish off, even if you are getting a gel manicure. Same for pedi. Charges for taking gel polish off to get new polish. If you get any type of liquid gel manicure or gel x or acrylic anything - the actual polish is not included in the price. Overall it's a lot of nickel and diming for average service. First time here but will be my last time too. I got a regular pedicure which they book for taking 25 minutes. I thought that sounded great and efficient. It took an hour to do a regular pedicure - nothing special included. I went to have my nail polish dried and the woman who did my nails never checked in to see if they were dry enough so after about 15 minutes I got up to check out and go. She said I should put plastic on them before leaving (even though they seemed dry by this point). I listened to her and she put the plastic bags on my feet before I put on my shoes to walk to the car (it was pouring rain and 30° out so walking in flip flops wasn't an option). When I got home I took off my shoes and the bags had completely ruined the pedicure. Horrible idea. Now I will have to redo them. That was a complete waste of money. I'm so disappointed. read more

Just had an absolutely wonderful spa day at Spa Logic! I used their Groupon deal and added a couple services on which resulted in an afternoon chock full of pampering. My main esthetician was Fatiha. She is extremely attentive, professional, thorough, and flat out awesome! From the body scrub to the massage to the facial... 3 home runs, she really knocked it out of the park! The establishment seems vigilant and their Covid precautions. My temperature was checked. I was prescreened prior to my appointment and had to sign a waiver acknowledging that I didn't have symptoms. Sanitizer is readily available. Everyone was in masks. & there are plastic partitions between each mani/pedi station. However I splurged on the VIP room for privacy and extra indulgence... #WorthIt. Joly did a fantastic job with my claws. I arrived with a full set done elsewhere and she corrected the hack job they did on my cuticles. She is gentle, detail oriented, & takes her time... very important in terms of nails. I am very appreciative to the entire Spa Logic staff. I'm reaching out to your about the services I received at your salon. I'm a single parent so on the week of Mother's Day I saw the special on the Spsa Logic website for a 50 min vitamin C facial, 50 min. hot stone massage and basic mani/pedi for $255 (still online as of Saturday...screenshot and date stamp can be provided). I really thought I was in for a day of pampering by professionals. While buying the gift card I asked about scheduling the service in the future since the salaon was fully committed on Mother's Day. A gift card was placed on my account. I was able to get an appointment for Saturday the 21st. I arrived 30 min. early to the salon. I checked in filled out the forms and then waited. I was never offered water or better yet the ability to go up to the spa and wait v. sitting by the entrance. At 3:07 I was greeted by the a massage therapist. I asked to use the rest room she point at the clock and told me we were already behind schedule to which I responded I was there early so I'm not sure why we are behind schedule. I return to the room undress and get on the wabbly massage table face down. Another 5 min. later the therapist returned to the room. She began the massage and after 5 min of waiting for her to ask about the pressure which I best describe as light petting, to apply more pressure. She told me to be careful what I wished for and then continued the light petting. Then without asking starting using the cupping technique on me. She also used the hot stones. Sadly they were across the room and each time she went to get one she started humming random beats. She was not pleased I didn't remove my underwear as she mentioned it twice. Unfortunately she only had time to do each leg for 5 min and missed my left arm altogether. After the light petting ended I was told not to tell anyone I had cupping done because it's an extra 40 dollars "but I had to because I don't have the strength to work those out". But forever the optimist I continue onto the next service which I figure might be better since it's a new therapist. I walk up another flight of stairs to the facial room. The esthetician came in and was very friendly. I got situated and she started with confirming that I was getting a reg. 50 min facial but that I may want to consider the vitamin C facial. I said I think my package was for the vitamin C facial. She explains how that could not be possible due to the price of the facial. That there 'was no way that price could cover that service. I say that's what the website says. She responded ok and we proceeded in silence for the next 10 min. When she was done she told me I was glowing. What she meant was greasy. If I touched my face I could not snap my fingers. I thought maybe the product will soak into my skin. The esthetician brings me down 3 flights of stiars to the nail 'salon'. She shows me to the colors and moves on to the next client. While I searching the hallway for colors, I over hear the esthetician telling a tall male nail tech how she didn't believe me about the price of the facial. When she realized I was standing there she went back upstairs. After a 10 min wait I got a cold foot bath and warm white wine. The pedicure was regular except I had to ask her to stop twice because she was hurting me. When we got to the manicure section the nail technician applied 3 coats of nails polish plus a top coat. At this point it's almost 7 pm (I arrived at 2:30 pm). I just want to go home!!! I head back up to the main level. I was attempting to put on shoes with wet nails as they were no where near dry with 3 coats of polish and a nice thick top coat. I see the esthetician and I pull out my phone go to the website and show her the Mother's Day special still listed on the website. She explains what a great deal that is. I explain I didn't appreciate being talked about or questioned. She attempts to justify why she was not in the wrong. Then the front desk lady tries to explain they were all just confused why the price was so low and that they weren't sure what was included in the package and that's why they were talking about me. I said a simple pop onto the spa logic website or google could have resolved this without making me feel uncomfortable. This continues for almost 5 min. In the end I was then asked to leave a gratuity which I did not. On my drive home my face still shinning like I had applied baby oil. Whatever was on my skin began to flake off. Like many others, I purchased the Groupon that included a facial, massage, mani/pedi and "glass of wine." I had the day off from work so I decided to turn it into a bit of a mental health day and use it to pamper myself. This experience is really hard to rate because there were so many moving parts to it; some parts were great and some parts sucked. First of all, they are incredibly stingy with the wine. If you've ever been to a salon like any of the Mimosa Salon locations, they're more than happy to offer refills, especially if you're literally there for 4+ hours having multiple treatments done. Mimosa understands that more wine/champagne = happier clients and better tips. Be like Mimosa. Spa Logic was the opposite. Maybe it's because I did get the Groupon deal, but I had to ask for my glass of wine and they were not at all pleased when I asked for refills. Come on. They're $10 bottles of table wine. You can let your clients indulge in that tiny bit of extra relaxation - again, ESPECIALLY when they're spending pretty much the entire afternoon there. Onto the services, which I'll discuss in descending order. MASSAGE: 5/5 This was the first time I've EVER gotten a massage and been totally satisfied at the end of it. I'm the type of person who likes it as intense as possible. Abuse the stress out of my muscles. Leave me with bruises if necessary. I want it to hurt the next day (and it currently does.) I specified on my form that I wanted a deep tissue with very intense pressure, and my masseuse delivered. He went HARD, and he worked on pressure points in my glutes that I didn't even know existed. (Side note: I wish everyone who worked on me had provided business cards so I could actually remember their names, but that wasn't the case.) In any event, my masseuse, whoever he was, nailed it. FACIAL: 3/5 To be fair, this was my first facial and I had no idea what to expect, but based on my experience it was just a bunch of hot towels and greasy lotions massaged into my face. I think she worked on my blackheads, which was appreciated. I didn't like the hot air from the fan blowing in my face during parts of it. Once she left me to sit with the stuff on my face in the dark room, it was relaxing. My face feels slightly softer today, but it's always kind of soft, so. I probably wouldn't get a facial like this again if it weren't included in a package. It also would have been helpful if she had explained more about what she was actually doing, what she was using, the benefits, etc. because I did specify that it was my first facial. MANICURE: 1/5 I paid an extra $27 to upgrade to acrylics + extra $5 for gel, and the work was just sloppy and rushed. I told him I wanted them super pointy, which he did on one hand, but he got real lazy on the other. One nail on the second hand was still so rounded that I had to ask him to correct it. As shown in photo, he didn't even pay attention to removing, or at least painting over, a noticeable glop of extra acrylic sealant on one nail. But my biggest gripe with the mani was that not only did he, for whatever reason, NOT put my nails under a UV dryer, but he also did not tell me how long to sit under the regular dryer for before disappearing - I sat there for maybe ten minutes, I felt my nails, they seemed dry, so I went to go pay and leave. I then smudged a nail getting out my wallet, which he did come over and tried to fix for me, but even more nails smudged after I left and went into my purse to get my phone. I wasn't going to go back in at that point, but yeah, almost all of the nails on one hand are messed up. PEDICURE: 1/5 I don't even know what happened here. I wanted silver polish, but there was some type of miscommunication where he assumed I only wanted silver on the big toes and the black polish I used for my nails on the rest of the toes? I never asked for or knowingly agreed to this. He then rushed me over to the manicure so hastily that a) I didn't even get a chance to realize the mistake and b) he didn't have me put my feet under the dryer at all - resulting in, again, more major smudges I had to fix the next day. In their defense re: the mani/pedi, I think I threw off their schedule by upgrading to acrylics, and that may be why he did such a rushed and careless job on both my nails and toes. But if they didn't have time to do the acrylics, I would have much preferred them saying that rather than trying to squeeze it in and doing a sh*t job across the board. In summation: I'd absolutely come back for another massage. Probably wouldn't bother with another facial and definitely won't trust them again with my nails. read more

I was visiting DC for the weekend and was craving a little TLC. Checked Yelp for local massages and found Spa Logic. When I walked in, I was greeted warmly. I asked if they had any available appointments for a massage and it was just my luck - they did!! I had the most delicious and delightful massage with Dalia. She is super talented and made me feel at ease the entire time. I asked for a deep tissue massage, but because I have some tender areas, she was able to go lighter at my request. Genuinely so disappointed in this place. Received the worst manicure I've had in YEARS here. Asked for a simple French and my nails are misshaped, cuticles we're not even cut or done, they are thick and bulbous. I just can't express how awful they are. read more

I 100% recommend this spa! It's metro accessible in the heart of dupont and the staff was attentive, everything was clean, and the vibe was great. They offer so many services in just one location. I went in for a couples massage and they made sure to ask all the necessary and adjusted the experience to your liking. My boyfriend came out of the experience in awe of how much he liked it after thinking he wouldn't enjoy a spa. Our masseuses, Fatiha and Sarah, were extremely nice and catered the whole time to our liking. We came out and had a couple of glasses of wine waiting with water. Excited to come back! read more
