My massage with Sarah was so good that I was literally crying on the massage table. I walked in a total mess both physically and emotionally. I've had a rough few months and my body felt like it was falling apart. But as soon as I was led to the second floor and breathed in the delicious smelling aromatherapy I knew I was in good hands. Knots that I didn't even know that I had started to unwind and the tension that I've been holding on to for the past few months started melting away. As soon as I left the spa I was really surprised by how much the massage affected my daily life. I was able to communicate better with my husband, I was more relaxed and I just felt like me again. Days later I was impressed by the range of movement in my upper back that I didn't know I had. I know that being a massage therapist is hard work that gives so much of yourself to service others. I'm not putting this lightly when I say, I really appreciate Sarah for making me feel whole again. PS: If Sarah is not available, I'd also recommend Tim. I had a five minute consultation with him at a Yelp event and I was really impressed with the way he was able to scientifically get into the details of massage therapy. I've been coming here for years to see Vivian while I lived in DC! She is incredibly talented, skilled, and masterful. Her work is always very consistent and I'm always impressed with the end product. I have to give some mixed reviews for Spa Logic. Overall, I love that it's female owned and the ambiance of the spa. They expanded to four floors, and have a nail salon in the basement, hair on the first floor, massages on the second and facials on the third floor. Clearly, they are doing something right! However, I had a pretty awful hair color experience. Massage with Helen My massage with Helen was awesome! I highly recommend her. She instantly noticed the knots in my neck and helped relieve some neck and shoulder pain I had for almost a week. I get massages pretty regularly at awesome spas all over the world, and Helen and SpaLogic definitely stack up to other spas. I signed up for a massage series. The ambiance of the massage area is really relaxing, with a waiting area that's slightly dim and smells like lavender. The massage room was clean and the massage table was really comfy. Haircut and Balayage with Nancy I warn anyone getting color/balayage to steer clear of Nancy. She fried my hair to the point of it turning WHITE. Instead of it looking natural, it was streaky and over-bleached. I've never left a negative review for a hair stylist before, but I definitely think Yelpers should be warned - I'd hate for this to happen to anyone else. I spent a pretty penny fixing the damage and toning it at another salon. My new hair stylist wouldn't touch my hair for a week because it was so close to breaking from the damage, and I had to deep condition for a week+. It was really upsetting! After the damage Nancy did, definitely didn't not trust anyone at Spa Logic to fix my hair. The silver lining is that I found a different hair salon in my area and someone who is an awesome color correction specialist. Hair tip: If you are like me and look at Yelp photos to judge whether a hair salon/stylist is good, be warned that most of the Yelp photos are hair color by Myly, who no longer works there. Not a lot of photos from stylists that currently work there, which should have been my first warning. I learned my lesson of never going to someone without seeing photos of their work. After the damage was done, I did see that Nancy had another negative review where she fried someone else's hair. Wish I saw that sooner. Service: Apart from Nancy, everyone at the spa was really friendly and helpful. They also send helpful reminders for your appointments, which is great. Final verdict: I still give Spa Logic 4 stars because I loved my massage with Helen and the ambiance of the rest of the salon. I like that they do a bit of everything, from massages to mani/pedi to facials, so I like the salon overall. I set up a recurring massage series as I have been looking for a great masseuse in DC ever since I moved here. May consider facials too - I'll update my review if I try that out. Caution: Definitely recommend skipping Nancy if you need to color/balayage your hair. I can't believe she damaged my hair so badly! Really unprofessional work. read more

Yesterday my friend and I used the groupon package to get massages, facials, and a mani pedi. I got my massage and facial by Fadijah who was so kind and asked me what my preferences were. The massage was so relaxing and she explained step by step what she was doing and how it would help my skin during my facial. for years i have been getting my nails done across the street at mimosa, and i dont know how i never even saw the spa logic sign, but now that i have entered this lovely little oasis in dupont circle, there is no going back to the folly of my old mimosa ways! first the nails: they use this super cool hemp based nail polish, they have fun names, cool, hip colors and classic colors, and its healthier for your nails. As a matter of fact, i loved the brand of nail polish they use so much, i ordered it on amazon. the nail technicians are wonderful, fast and friendly. second the hair: from hair cuts to styles for a night out, these professionals know how to make you look your best. my jaw literally dropped as i saw so many women transformed all around me as they were given gorgeous waves or up-dos, and great stylish cuts. The moroccan hairdresser is especially incredible, friendly and sweet. last but not least, Massages: talk about Calgon take me away! i had one of the best massages ever here, i love a good deep tissue and the masseur knew what he was doing on how to make my tired back and shoulders sing. (i wish i could remember his name, i am drawing a total blank, but he was a very handsome african american gentlemen). I also write a lot for work and asked him to massage my hands, and it was exquisite. I literally felt like butter by the end of it. I cant say enough good things. read more

My best friend surprised me with a spa day package from Spa Logic. I was so excited to have some pampering but was disappointed with the services the day of. I started out with a facial which overall was pretty good. I did not love how the technician tried to sell me on all of these upgrades while doing my facial. My eyes were closed and I did not quite understand everything she was saying with her accent. I ended up getting a $10 charge at the end for a 5-minute eye mask that I thought she was telling me that the spa sold, not that she was giving to me. The biggest disappointment was that she took of part of my microblading on my eyebrow that I told her about at the beginning of our session. I asked her to avoid my eyebrows and area around my eyebrows and she agreed. But the she kept hitting them and when I went to my next service, I saw that a good chunk was hit off. When I told this to the front desk person, he said he would tell management but nothing was offered to me by way of fixing the problem. My massage was good, however I was expecting a female massage therapist and ended up with a male. He wasn't particularly friendly but he was good at what he did so I appreciated that. Lastly, I got a manicure and pedicure. To start, the technician was not very friendly and barely said anything before my pedicure. During the manicure she warmed up and was friendly. I had gel manicure on and no one told me that there was a cost to remove it so again, hit with another charge at the end. Overall, my services were good, however I just can't get over the lack of customer service about my messed up micro blading. read more

I just had the best facial from Kathy and an incredible massage from Sara. The spa is so clean and the services are world class / top notch. I am so impressed. They're very thoughtful and intuitive. I was left with a huge blood blister and bruising from a Brazilian today. It was so awful, I'm on ice. I wish I could post a pic...I am thrashed! I also got a bunk two toned spray tan in a dirty room standing on dirty towels, and I look ridiculous. To top it off, they called me back in as I was waiting for my Uber to charge me a $3 Covid fee. I've never ever had a more miserable, painful experience at a "spa". I will never, ever go to Spa Logic again! EVER! Update: just got this response from the owner... Lady, I left your spa injured! Don't tell you the price and completely change it. Online lies about the rate. Told them while booking, the person at the front desk, and the stylist I just wanted flat iron. I have been going to Spalogic/Dupont Nails and Spa for two years now. During the height of the pandemic I wanted some normalcy and I found this salon and my favorite nail tech ever, Tina T. She has hooked me up with the best shape, designs and pedicure I've ever had. My nails last sometimes for a month before I need a refill, although I come back more regularly than that. She is always innovative and accommodating to my needs. I get so many compliments everytime I get my nails done. read more

Management has changed again and this place is back being the McDonald's of spas. In and out with no customer attention and mediocre services (apart from Cindy- who is excellent for wax and nails). Such a shame they treat their loyal clients worse than new customers. It's frustrating when businesses don't understand the concept of treating long-time customers better. I could have brought in so many clients for them. Massage has never been a good experience here. Hair is very hit or miss, depending who you get. Facials with Sadie are amazing. And Cindy is wonderful as noted above. But the rudeness of the management is really what's made it a done deal for me. I will be going elsewhere when I finish my current package. They made me feel very relaxed and at ease. The manicure/pedicure I received was decent, the nail technicians were not as outgoing but mostly left myself and my friend alone while they worked, which was fine. I've been here quit a few times. I initially came over a year or so ago for a Yelp Elite event where they allowed us to take part in mini versions of their service and I later scheduled a message. Overall I like this place and the measure they've taken during the pandemic. So far I had at least 2 massages one of which was a spa special I ordered on Groupon in September. I started with a massage and added hot stones and some the of cooling. I also have received dipping powder (they have some of the best and wacky ones. The yellow was one of my favs with the 3d look of black powder), pedicure (i like to get the add ons that include lavender), facial (recommend as well, I can't remember her name but she very recently moved to The DC area) and the latest Brazilian. Today I had Lee and had someone before and didn't like the results but I had a 2 pack special so I decided why not try someone else. Overall, I like this place and I honestly would have not known pf it if not for the Yelp Elite event. Although I no longer get my nails done here it's still great. I get liquid gel and design and it's not as common and I prefer certain detailed designs. Still my favorite thing about this place is the staff are overall pleasant. I NEVER felt rushed. The staff takes their time to give you the best experience. There's the salon entrance at the front and nail entrance in the back that can be accessed from the front. Spa Logic in Washington DC is a facility that is beyond gorgeous. It's very modern and clean. Mandy is the best nail technician, and Sam is the best foot technician I've ever had. They both do things excellently in their skill craft that I've never seen in any other technician that I have ever had in getting my nails and feet done and I am very picky, and I don't mind paying for services, especially excellent service. They both care and take the time to make sure you're getting what you came for. I would highly recommend anyone to come to Spa Logic, you will not be disappointed. I also would like to say that Max, for whom when you come into Spa Logic, he greets you and professionalism is EPIC. He is very friendly. Max was the one who recommended Mandy and Sam to me. When I came to Spa Logic, I was recommended to another technician there and the wait was long, and Sam was the one who listened to me when I was very upset about another salon, I had been going to in DC their service is awful. Dalal is able to take my totally uninformed ideas about what I want my hair to be and turn it into a cohesive LOOK. I wanted something blonder but still natural that would cover the ghosts of balayage and highlights past. I also wanted long layers with some face framing strands and Dalal delivered. She is also so sweet and is possibly the first stylist I've had that told me I have nice hair! Others always tell me it's damaged and thin which makes me embarrassed. She is so sweet and talented. If Dalal wasn't so good I probably would've given this place 3 stars. I had a lot of trouble booking my appointment. When I first called at 9PM, I was told they were too busy to book me and that they would call me the next day. I didn't get a call. I called again the day after and the receptionist was very rude (read google reviews that also talk about a rude receptionist this past week so maybe this person was having a bad day) but I got so frustrated I couldn't book with them. I called again the next day and finally got booked!... but when I called again to confirm, I was booked for a different day. I bought a groupon deal for 60 minute deep tissue massage. My therapist was sarah and she was really pleasant and informative about different types of massages she'd recommend for people who are not a regular here (me) but I just went with the deep tissue massage because why not? If Sarah didn't lower the pressure specifically for me I think I would've not enjoyed my experience but luckily she was very open in communicating with me on my comfort level. Ever since I started coming to Spa Logic in 2017, I've continued to recommend this spot to friends who are looking for affordable and effective massages. Spa Logic continues to offer great deals on Groupon for many of their services which, as someone on a super tight budget, I truly appreciate. I've been suffering from recurring back pain for years. Despite chiropractors and a lot of massages, I've never learned the cause of my back pain. That is, until this week when I got a massage from Sarah at Spa Logic. Even before laying her soft, magical hands on me, she recognized my symptoms as soon as I described them to her. It turns out I suffer from sciatica, a condition affecting the sciatic nerve (a large nerve extending from the lower back down the back of each leg). I'm sure the condition is a result of my gym workouts and dance rehearsals, especially since I'm not good about stretching afterwards. It was a relief to finally understand the cause of the issue so I know what I need to work on. In addition, Sarah worked out all the knots in my entire back. Before I went in, I was unable to bend over without feeling a shock of pain from my left hip. Within 24 hours of seeing Sarah, I was able to bend over again with only some soreness. Sarah also recommended some stretches for me to do as well as other remedies. I'm already planning on booking my next massage with her again! Although I cannot say enough wonderful things about their massage therapists, I wish it was the same with their front desk staff. I've often encountered issues with them such as not getting the Groupon number correct. Most recently, they were having issues with their credit card machine, so they had to swipe my card twice, and then asked me to send them an email with a screenshot of the confirmation on my card statement. Even after all of that, I received a confusing email from a manager asking me questions about whether my card was charged twice and some background context. read more

Solid spa in the heart of DC. I got Brazilian waxing from here with Groupon. Location: I recommend taking metro since it's in the busier area. You go inside a hair salon and down stairs. A few of my friends had only great things to say about Spa Logic, and I was excited about my first visit! Upon my arrival, I was greeted pleasantly by the Hair Services Manager, temperature was taken and given hand sanitizer. I was taken upstairs to the Hair Salon floor and was so impressed by the level of cleanliness of every crevice. I asked how business wa doing and was told about the spa's owner and all of the good community work that she was doing to help others during the pandemic. My hair was very damaged due to the COVID-19 closures and lack of being able to access spa/hair services. My stylist - Rachel made me feel so comfortable that I went with her recommendation of cutting more damaged hair than I normally would have. Her level of professionalism and friendliness made me feel at ease and the services received of hair cut and partial highlights was refreshing. My hair feels so much healthier now and I have a re-found confidence that was so needed during this difficult time of COVID-19. My hair experience was so positive that I tacked on a last minute massage service with Masseuse - Sarah. She was so accommodating and even stayed 30 mins after the spa closed to finish our massage. I can honestly say that this was the best massage that I've ever had in the DC area! I had completed a 50 mile cycle ride that same day and my muscles were so sore. Sarah recommended a combination Deep Tissue massage with hot stones, worked my back and legs mostly which had the most tension and offered tips for hot muscle stretching. I ended up planning to come back in a week or so to "finish" the treatment and bought a few more sessions to get back on track. More respect for yet another successful visit to Spa Logic! For our 4th wedding anniversary, my wife pleasantly surprised me with a very relaxing visit to her favorite spa. The events of the morning began with Donna and Sarah rebuilding us in a private couples room upstairs. They both managed a couples massage with masterful skill. All necks, backs and legs are not created equal, yet their improvised massages, oils and body bending techniques rebuilt both my wife and me into fully functioning human beings. Well done, and 5-thumbs up to both Donna and Sarah for their team efforts! We'll see you, again, soon! And, the special VIP treatment didn't end there... next stop, a short walk downstairs to another, well appointed private room for an excellent manicure and pedicure. I've moved away from the neighborhood, but I trust the salon, especially during the pandemic that I don't want to go anywhere else. All the staff at the salon for each service have been incredible. They do a good job cleaning the place and personally caring for you, so you feel comfortable, and I always feel pampered. The owner Kathy has also been amazing - every time I see her, she is a delight to speak to.
