He was doing an excellent job removing my callous, moving fastidiously until he took a wrong stroke and scraped my top skin. I had my dip taken off here the other day and it's safe to say I will never go back. The woman who took it off, used the drill a little bit, and then, instead of soaking them and putting foil on, she took cuticle clippers and picked all of them off. It hurt so bad, making me flinch multiple times. I have NEVER had anyone take dip off by picking them off like that. It's been a few days and my nails are still so sore. Oh my god do not go this place is unsanitary ! Beyond the 10 year dust accumulation, the woman working on my nails cut a hang nail too deep and I started bleeding. She then tried to fix it by putting cuticle oil on my bleeding cut and then she put the bleeding brush back in the jar!!! It was then I became highly alert that she never took her utensils out of a sanitary baggie. She just sprayed them with a clear liquid that I assume was rubbing alcohol. It had been a little over a month since the last time I got a mani-pedi, so my hands and feet were in DIRE need of some care. I chose to go to Glamour Nails because it's a short walk from where I live, they've had positive reviews since they were taken under new management, and because they had great prices. I got a gel manicure and regular pedicure and don't remember the last time I've been this pleased with the end result. Upon my arrival, I was immediately taken to a new massage chair and was presented with a plethora of gel nail colors to select from. I was lucky enough to have Jay, an absolute miracle worker, take care of me today. He was so kind, accommodating, and friendly from the moment I walked in! Jay paid close attention to detail when shaping my nails, cutting my cuticles, and painting them. On top of that, he worked quickly and efficiently, gave great massages, and we had great conversations. I was so impressed with my nails and am 100% coming back for my next mani-pedi. This nail Technician by the name of TiTi did her thing for me, The one thing i loved about her and this establishment was that I had the same tech for my feet and nails, i was her number one priority regardless who came in or how busy they were getting, she didn't send me to a different technician for them to finsh what she started, She was my one stop shop! She made my vision of what i wanted come to light, i will be coming back from jersey to D.C. once a month to see my girl TiTi and get my fill and my pedicure done! Awful service! I've had good experiences but many where I have been slighted. These place isn't clean at all but very cheap. They offer OPI but many of them are old. The manicurist I had (shoulder length brown sparing hair) was horrible! She didn't know what she was doing and I could tell as soon as she asked me to pay her before she even started filing my nails! She didn't even coat the nail correctly! The sides of my nails were not covered at all. The nails were streaky, meaning the polish was old and she kept stroking the paint over and over and over and over...it looked like tire tracks. I complained to management and they told me she did me a favorite because "she clean cuticle yeah?" Idek what that MEANS but I'm saddened I paid $20 for a piss poor manicure. My eyebrows however, were good. I have natural full and shaped brows so it doesn't take much to do them well. Overall: I just can't. I've been slighted more times than treated correct...and don't even consider asking for a refund bwahaha what are thoseeeee? read more

Be prepared to wait. They don't have reservations so it's all walk ins and the day I was there, they were very much over capacity but still offered to see me. That's nice but honestly ended up being a headache because she kept leaving in the middle to help other customers so it took a lot longer than I expected (and I could have gone elsewhere had they been upfront about capacity). They do a decent job. They try! But I asked for a pretty basic nail art design and honestly i could have done it myself. Still. And I hear they do decent acrylic, nail artwork, eye brow waxing. I received a gel manicure and pedicure from this establishment exactly one week ago. It was not very crowded and I was able to receive immediate service. My main reason for going there was the reasonable prices. Where else can you get a gel manicure for $25? Well the old saying "you get what you pay for" applies here. Two of my nails are already chipping! I have never had chipping occur within that short of a timespan. Then again, I usually pay $55-60 for a gel manicure and pedicure. Customer service also left a lot to be desired. Before sitting down for my pedicure, I asked to use the restroom. The lady pointed in the direction of the restroom but when I tried to open the door, it was locked. I just assumed someone was using it and proceeded to pick out my nail color. As soon as I walked away from the restroom, another woman came out from the back (she saw me attempt to open the door) and used a key to unlock the door. It was unclear to me why the door was locked. Things that make you go hmmmm. It was also hot as heck in there. When I walked in, the front door was wide open. Keep in mind it was about 95 degrees outside. Shortly after getting settled, one of the technicians shut the door and allowed the portable a/c unit to cool the room (which wasn't very big). I won't be going back to this place and will gladly pay a little more for a gel manicure that will last at least 2 weeks! read more

Now with that bein said... the shop is no frills. There's probably 1 or 2 dudes that come in selling essential oils and detergent maybe some Shea butter but if you can get over that and cpl people asking for coins on the way in then you must go to glamour nails. The facility is no frills, but it's always clean and the owners and staff are ridiculously friendly. My only gripe is that they have a very small selection of OPI colors, but with ten dollar manicures, I guess that's a small price to pay. One thing I always look for at nail salons is wonderful customer service--this place had awful customer service! The lady who did my nails cut my toe cuticle too much and it started to bleed! I proceeded to tell her and she got upset (why, I don't know). She then moved on to "massage" my feet with a stiff brush that hurt me rather than feeling nice. Too make it all worse, she was using a dirty towel on me that had stains on it already. After the pedicure, she moved on to do my manicure and didn't even put cuticle remover when she took off my cuticles.
