I walked in and the place was almost empty and once I finished my service, I understood why. I was not greeted with pleasantness as the older white woman that came in after me. I told the nail tech that all I wanted was Dip Take Off service. She takes the dip off and commences to hand me a ring of gel color polishes (did not listen to what I wanted). I tell her no, and that as I stated when I came in, all I want is the Dip take off and maybe just clear polish. Not once did she say that clear polish was an extra charge. I go to the register to pay, they speak for about 3 minutes about what service(s) I received. Not sure why it needs to be such an in-depth discussion. They say $20. I just moved to Mount Vernon area from a different part of dc. I booked an appointment because it's not far from my apartment. I called ahead to check if I needed cash and they do take ZELLE, VENMO and CASH as tip. They had a wide assortment of colors and options as pictured. I got the Gel pedi for $55 and I liked all the prices I saw. There were a lot of different options for pedicure packages. I had Katie and would recommend her but also I would go again and again. I'm chill when I get my nails done not a huge talker. Everyone is different but she asked me a couple of questions and got my color. Was helpful and when she saw me taking pictures of potential future colors she gave me the current one I have to take a picture of I ever want to get my hands done. The service here left alot to be desired. It felt rushed and my manicurist was very rough. More than once ai had to politely ask her to slow down and be more careful with my nails and cuticles. At one pointed they cut/ broke my nail leaving it uneven and they failed to execute on tasks that they agreed on (eg filing down, cutting etc) and had to be reminded multiple times. Even my hand washing was done in a haphazard manner, with just water swished around-- whereby I am used to washing them with soap and water. Awful. I will not be back. It also felt busy and rushed. I got a gel manicure for $45 despite booking in advance (the 5% pre-booking discount was not applied). It was sloppily done, and it's patchy and dull. All of the gel polishes are COVERED in gloopy nail polish on the outsides of the bottles, so it was hard to find a clean spot to pick it up without getting polish on my fingers. Very basic service for the price, and the lotion smells cheap as well. I was able to get the appointment day and time I wanted. It was just a short wait for a nail tech after I arrived. They have a lot of options of colors to choose from when you walk in but it's a different story when you sit down, every color I wanted was not there, and they made it my job to point out the colors on the wall. After arriving at my scheduled appointment time, nobody acknowledged my presence for at least 10 minutes, (nothing at all!), which was very awkward and not what I look for as in what should be a relaxing experience. Once I was finally addressed, the experience improved somewhat.There was some disorganization about who would do my nails, but the technician who eventually did them did a nice job. I came here for a regular mani pedi a few weeks ago, and everyone was extremely nice, however, I am a little concerned about my results. My nail tech didn't paint the edges of my nails, I asked and she fixed one and there was still a gap. I also had bubbles in my top coat. I got my mani done in the pedicure chair and in a rush. No cleaning of the nails or cuticles just a shaping pretty much. She put the cuticle oil on my nails and toes and just like pretended to scrape it with the metal tool. (Which also their tools didn't seem like they were new every time). She also used the electric buffer on my toes? Which I definitely did not consent to and found weird as I've been doing regular polish on my toes for years and never had a tech bring out this tool. I was there for like 2 hours too so it wasn't a necessarily quick process. Lots of things that weren't prepped like the towels. We spent like 20 minutes waiting for them to heat up. A week after I removed my polish, I had these rings around my natural nails. Again, I did a regular polish mani pedi. Not sure why this would happen but now I have red indents across all 10 of my nails that are still visible with a coat of polish on top. Everyone was extremely kind although slow. I was hoping to find a nail salon walking distance from my office in DC, but this is not it. This salon gets points for a convenient online booking process and friendly staff, but it ends there. My service felt rushed, there was a very small selection of colors for dip powder, and my manicure started chipping after less than a week which NEVER happens in my 6+ years of getting dip manicures (it anything, it lifts off the nail after a while, but it should not be chipping at all). The SNS manicure was $60, which is higher than I'm used to paying in NoVa but may be the going rate for DC, but totally not worth it if it doesn't last. I sadly will not be back. read more

Horrible. I went to get a mani and pedi as a treat from a friend for my birthday. I was greeted at the door and seated. The nail text was confrontational just saying a bit too much. It was a bit weird. Very bossy and even though I couldn't understand what she was saying half the time she was speaking very fast and with an attitude. I let it slide. So after a while 2 Caucasian ladies came in. They were offered sweets and asked if they would like something ro drink and just getting some really marvelous treatment and a whole lot of kee kee kee showing teeth and all. That was weird too since I wasn't offered anything and basically just bossed around. My pedicure was ok. My manicure wore off and chipped after a few days. When I cleaned off my nails it was apparent that I had some nail damage. They used the filer/grinder a bit much and now I have these unnatural ridges in my nails. The customer service and bias from the nail tech makes this a place I will never support again. Plus parking is a pain. read more

Terrible experience - both the gel manicure and pedicure were extremely disappointing. The gel manicure was rushed and painful. During removal, it felt like too many layers of my natural nails were filed off--my nails hurt, red spots appeared, and they've been left thin and weak. About five days later, one of my nails broke painfully in the middle of the nail bed, and two weeks later, it's still not healed. On top of that, the pedicure looks poorly done. I've never had such a damaging and painful experience at a nail salon. I don't recommend this place at all. read more
