100 percent awesome sandwiches and experience. It pays to leave downtown and take a short walk (about 20 mins from union station). There are a ton of choices that are in the market but these reviews don't lie. I'm a big French dip guy and this take with chicken is the best. The bread was freshly baked, the portion of chicken was plentiful. Au jus? Oh yes, so fresh, could just put a couple of chunks from the sandwich into the broth and you could call it an amazing soup. The fried chicken sandwich is stupid good. Ridiculously good. A strong contender for the top in all of Denver. Lunchboxx is located in Denver Central Market. They opened up just a few months ago, one of the first new concepts since DCM's inception. From owner/chef, Zach Spott, Lunchboxx focuses on global cuisine matched with childhood nostalgia. I was incredibly bummed when his former spot, Brass Tacks, closed its doors. If you're like me and loved the food there, Lunchboxx will bring back some of those bar favorites, with an expanded menu. Fried Chicken Sandwich // buttermilk fried chicken, gochugaro honey glaze, cherry pepper slaw, chile lime mayo, sesame brioche bun. Don't walk, RUN. An exquisitely crafted sandwich. The crackly skin, tender chicken, sweet and rich glaze, crisp slaw, and soft bun turns one of the most basic sandwiches into something truly extraordinary. The chicken itself is surprisingly light, not heavy or dense like many of its counterparts. This is a 5-star sandwich through and through, enough for me to hop on here and shout its praises after just one visit. I hadn't been to DCM in a long time. With so many great restaurants in such a close proximity, I felt like those outweighed the options at the market. Not anymore. If I'm anywhere near DCM, I'll be drawn in like a magnet. This lovely place is located inside of the Denver Central Market in the back left corner. My first impression was how friendly the staff was. The employee that helped me with my order was enthusiastic and appeared to really enjoy his job. He helped me decide on the Mediterranean bowl to take home for dinner. I noticed the popcorn chicken while I was waiting and decided I simply must have some. When I got home I was pleasantly surprised to see they served and packaged my meal so that it could be eaten later without any soggy pita or mixing of hot & cold ingredients. I appreciated the extra effort they took to ensure I enjoyed my meal at home! The Mediterranean bowl was delicious. The rotisserie chicken was cooked perfectly & the bowl was busting with flavor! The service was great, my food was ready in no time, & the food was delicious!! I will definitely be back next time I'm in the area. read more

First time at Denver Central Market and I was not disappointed by Lunchboxx. Their food was delicious and FRESH. I enjoyed the fresh chicken and Mac & cheese. I loved the vary on the menu from protein options to the delicious sides. The place is spacious and have lots of sitting areas. We stopped by Denver Central market on our last morning in Denver, and to say the least it was packed out the door. With some maneuvering, we were able to get a table that accommodated our party, and now face the challenge of choosing which vendor to order- omission all on its own. After many tough debates, i chose the steak sandwich from the lunchboxx - it was incredible. They use the freshest and most tender skirt steak, cooked and seasoned perfectly, piled into a delicious sub with arugula, roasted, red peppers, crispy onions and aji Verde on ciabatta - a winner indeed. Given the number of people in line and in the food hall in general, it was surprising that it did not take terribly long for me to get to the front, or to get my food, but be prepared for a standard 20 minute wait no matter how you slice it. The sandwich was big and generous with lots of steak packed in, and I wasn't able to finish it all in one sitting. It even included aside, and they have so many side options, I chose a cold-served bowtie pesto pasta, which was the perfect accompaniment. But really, they had so many options. I can't wait to come back to Denver and try another sandwich at the lunchboxx! read more

I had the chicken sandwich, and it lived up the hype. I salivated over the rest of the menu. Super friendly staff, and everything looked good. I went during a slow time so had an excellent experience. I could see how it could get crowded. I would definitely go back - the soba meal looked great, and all the rotisserie chicken had me almost salivating. read more

I would avoid this place at all costs .. I have been a regular customer here for sometime now. Today I had the most unprofessional experience I have ever experienced in my life at any restaurant . The absolute rudest employee I have ever met . I actually do not know how this place is still in business employing such an individual ... I asked for an item that was not listed on Grubhub and simply was looking to order the patty melt on the menu. I was hung up on and then I went into the restaurant to make amends and speak with the employee about the issue . I calmly stated my case and asked that my situation was handled more professionally . Instead of practicing good business he simply called security on me and told me I was harassing him for having a calm conversation with him about the issue ... I would love for a response from the owner , as I do enjoy your food . However , i cannot believe how inappropriate the man with the pink pony tail and grinch shirt was to me . I am awestruck at the entire situation .. a child would have handled the exchange better than this man . I, myself am a business owner, I would never speak to someone in the manner in which I was spoken to today . I would avoid this place until the staff changes over . I freaking loved thier food but I will never do business with them again ever again ! Not only was he rude to me , he was incredibly rude to my wife , To make things even better I ran into a young couple from out of town who were visiting from chicago and they too confirmed how rude this staff member was to them , and they didn't even see my exchange with the employee ... bad business all the way around ... if the owner does not come forward to speak with me, I will be in contact with Mr. Spott to voice my concerns . I am flabbergasted and incredibly hungry after working a ten hour day and was hoping for nothing more than some delicious food from one of my old favorite spots to eat . This place can meet a variety of tastes for the whole group and is a perfect lunch spot. I went with a Boxx. You choose your protein (I chose the rotisserie chicken) and your "Boxx" type - tacos, Mediterranean, Vietnamese lettuce wraps, etc. The food is GOOD, and filling, yet still light. I went with the lettuce wraps, and the flavors were great. You can also order a la carte off the menu, or a sandwich. You can take it to go or there's outdoor seating next to the market. read more

This place is hard to go wrong with. From the burger, to the chicken salad sandwich, and everything in between I've been impressed with. The food is always fresh and I love their rotisserie chicken cooked right there. My boyfriend Isaiah works nearby and goes there almost daily for lunch so it's always a treat when I get to go too. Entire order cold and I was standing there the entire time. Two fryers full of fries with two people inline. Obviously if you keep selling them for twenty minutes they will be cold. Unacceptable. Spoke to the lady with the pink hair about it and she couldn't care less. I just ate here two days ago and loved it and just that quick they've lost me as a customer. My fiancé is Gluten Free and recently found Lunchboxx- they offer GF options for most of their sandwiches and the GF bread they use is soooo good! His go-to is the Curry Chicken Salad sandwich, it's such a unique and fun twist on the traditional- it comes overflowing with incredible roasted chicken salad, yellow curry, coconut cream, cashews, fish sauce, cilantro, lemongrass and cashews... and let me tell you, this is it! Lunchboxx is perfect for when you want something that's hearty but not too heavy! I got the Vietnamese wraps and my friend got the tacos. Both were really light and refreshing, but filled us up. Get the Market Bento!!! Don't listen to what other people tell you, this is the best thing on the menu. The tempura mushrooms are divine. I had the Med plate with chicken one time and was slightly disappointed and wish I was eating the market bento with the pork instead. I want to return to try the lettuce wraps... Wow! Stopped in for the lettuce wraps with chicken, and the street tacos with pork (see pics). Both were amazing and so fresh - even the next day (so much food we ended up with some leftovers - yay!). The staff were super friendly and service was quick... I was in, ordered, and out the door with all the goodies in less than 10 minutes. I need to head over to Central Market more often, and Lunchboxx is just the place to motivate me to do that. I first discovered Lunchboxx through the Yelp Elite event back in February. Ever since then, I've been thinking about the amazing pork carnitas. This desire to try it again lead to a recent stop at the Denver Central Market location. I got the same Plate again, the Mediterranean with the pork. It was as good as the first time! Lunchboxx is a great spot to grab food, and the location inside of the market is prefect to get a meal, drink, and dessert in one stop! read more

So good. Sooooo GOOOOD! I don't know how, but these guys can make delicious food! My husband and I ordered Market bento boxx with pulled chicken and Mediterranean boxx with pulled pork. Both dishes were phenomenal. Even my 7 year old said "I don't know what kind of food this is, but it's really good". LOL Also, they had daily special breakfast sandwich for $5, and it was delicious, too. I would love to visit again to try other dishes! read more

I wanted to try the fried chicken sandwich but they were sadly sold out :( instead I got the lemon herb chicken salad sandwich ($13) through the recommendation of the cashier and it was really good. I'm not much of a chicken salad person but this was amazing. The bread was also really good too! The sandwich left me wanting some more and I definitely wanna try the fried chicken sandwich one day. The Denver Central Market is very unique and has many options! Lunchboxx is one of the multiple businesses inside that you can get a quick and delicious lunch at! They have 4 lunch box options with your choice of protein (rotisserie chicken, grilled skirt steak, pork carnitas, tempura mushrooms). I ordered the street tacos with chicken. They come with 4 tortillas, cabbage, pickled onions, chiles, avocado, lime and red and green salsas. This box option is $14. They also have 6 different sandwiches and cold deli style side options such as, macaroni, potato, pasta and veggie salad. Additionally, they have hot sides including, fries, elote, veggies, rice. There is also a few shelves with different sauces and dressings that can be purchased. The staff was very friendly and it was only a 10 minute wait for my take out order. I would love to come back and try something else! read more

Yum!!! I normally go to Green Seed when I visit Denver but decided to change it up and I was not disappointed. I tried the chicken salad sandwich with cucumber salad and green beans. Great place inside the back left corner of central market. The person behind the counter that helped me was great - he walked me through the menu options, and made some recommendations. I went with the Mediterranean box - with chicken as my protein. The order came out fairly quickly (less than 8 minutes). The chicken was super flavorful, moist, and perfectly cooked. It comes with grilled pita triangles, baba ghanoush, hummus, and a marinated Greek salad (spicy dressing on cucumbers and tomatoes). It was all very flavorful - right amount of spice/zip, and a lovely presentation. There's counter/bar seats across from where you order, and there's also a deli-style counter with lots of fun things (I.e. beet poke)? I didn't try it - but it looked good and I'm excited to come back and try more of the menu!! read more

I really love Mediterranean food especially when the ingredients are fresh and seasoned well. I got a chance to have the Mediterranean box and it was so yummy. Denver Central Market is a great landmark in Denver to visit for a variety of foods and great social atmosphere. Note, street parking can be a bit challenging. Lunchboxx Is fairly new to the Market. They have an intriguing menu, featuring street tacos with a choice of rotisserie chicken, pork carnitas, tempura mushrooms, and grilled skirt steak for an up charge of $3. I had the rotisserie chicken , which was absolutely delicious. Cooked to perfection, juicy and tender might I add. I also had the hummus, which I couldn't ask for better. My only disappointment was the steak fries. The steak was cooked to perfection but both the fries were cold and the steak was served under a temperature to my liking. They remade the feature and the fries came out over cooked and the steak was made for complainers, bloody and tough unlike the first serving. Total waste of $15. Yes, I would return and try other menu options. read more

The steak sandwich was just straight fire. If you like rare to medium rare steak sandwiches you will love it. I recommend getting an extra side of sauce to make eating it a bit easier. The steak was pretty hard to bite through since it isn't the most tender cut of meat, but flavor wise the sandwich was delicious. read more

I'm convinced Lunchboxx doesn't make a single bad dish. Seriously, I've been here a couple times now and everything I've tried is fantastic. Most recently, I got the chicken curry salad sandwich on gluten free bread. The chicken and curry was phenomenal, I really can't stop thinking about it! It also came with a side of roasted potatoes that I loved. The gluten free bread was a baguette, not some random small slice of Udi's bread (yuck!), and it actually tasted amazing! The last time I went I had the tacos and they were fantastic too. I can't get over how big the portions were too! The only drawback is the price-- it's a bit expensive for a quick meal but it's on par with the rest of the stalls so just be prepared to spend some more for great quality food! read more

The food was excellent, it was so good I didn't even take a picture but next time I will. The service was really great, I made a mistake online and they were able to refund and redo my order. The ambiance is busy but it's also Saturday so that's pretty normal I've definitely been there during the week where it was nice and calm. Definitely going back! My favorite thing was the fried mushrooms, I'm not vegetarian but I love mushrooms and they nailed this. Ask for the aïoli to go with them, it was delicious! My wife ordered a fried chicken sandwich which was super yummy looking and our friend ordered the Bento box which I might consider next time too-it came with a really yummy sauce. Love that they have a solid, INTERESTING vegetarian protein option (unlike most places with a boring tofu or eggs) in the tempura mushrooms. They are deliciously crunchy, but they are just too greasy for me. If they had about half the oil I would definitely try again. Also a bit too pricey for me but on par with the prices of other places in Central Market. read more

this place is delicious!! so many options to choose from as well. i got the lemon herb sandwich and my boyfriend got the chicken dip with chicken jus - omg. we were so satisfied with how our sandwiches tasted and our sides (different options of pasta, potato, and other cold salads) being in the market, there are so many other amazing places to see and ice cream nearby. loved the vibe, food was out quickly, and we got to sit outside and eat! yum read more

Ordered the Chicken Dip for takeout. Sandwich was delicious. Would definitely order again! I didn't use the au jus, so can't attest to flavor of that. Gluten free bread is available - really appreciate the GF options. Took off one star because this place is a bit expensive for a sandwich. read more

Stopped here for lunch our first day in Denver. Absolutely loved the market! So many food and drink options. Someone recommended lunchbox to us and I'm so glad they did. It was delicious! I had the lemon herb chicken salad sandwich with fries ($13). My boyfriend had the fried chicken sandwich with pasta salad ($14). Everything tasted so fresh and the portions were big! I saved half the sandwich for later. A little pricey but I think it's worth it because of the flavor and quality. Definitely try them out next time you go to the Denver Central Market! read more

The food is great here, but it's annoying how the employees act like you are invisible when you are waiting to pick up your online order. It would take three seconds for them to read your name on the tag and hand you your bag, but instead - without acknowledging your presence - they refill the sodas, take a few more orders at the register, call a few more names to pick up their plated food, and otherwise busy themselves while pretending they don't see you clearly waiting for something. If you don't want to deal with us, then place on the online pickup orders where we can grab them ourselves. read more

Super friendly, attentive, and made the whole experience even better. The restaurant itself has a cool, lively vibe.
