Oh no! What could improve? is what I saw as soon as I gave this place only two stars on Yelp. Thanks for the question, my dear Yelp. The answer? CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! The guys upfront who took my order had a straight face with no hello or anything. I was like "Are you mute?" He absolutely said nothing when I said hi to him so service is NONEXISTENT. I like the ambience or decor however. As the store's name says it all, this place is all about lunch boxes. All sorts of colorful boxes are displayed throughout the store's space. It's like stepping into the world of Marvel or some heavily anime-themed shop. Quite fun. And the food? Not bad either. I got the Beet Poke and the German Potato Salad in the small (8oz) tubs for to go. I tasted both of them taking a few bites out of each as soon as I got back to my car and both are/were a solid (side) dishe for sure. But I still couldn't get over the rude service by that guy upfront (he had some sort of a Day of the Dead face painting). This store could be elevated to a whole another level had their service been solid. Some polishing is required in that regard for sure. Unfortunate that the store's image can be ruined simply by one person's misconduct. I will not return for a while.
My 2nd favorite chicken sandwich I've ever had. It was literally perfect. Lightly breaded and perfectly fried with the best crunch. Everything works so well together, the slaw, the chili honey glaze and a bun so soft you can't even cut it. I had the chili lime sauce on the side and applied it to every bite. So amazing together. The chicken was perfectly cooked, juicy and hot, the bun was even able to hold up to everything that was going on. I loved the pasta salad as well, the dressing was awesome and the pasta was cooked very well. Definitely pull up to eat if you're looking for something outside of your typical lunch.
The local I was visiting recommended Lunchboxx out of all the options at Denver Central Market, and he did not lead me astray! This spot in the market is quite popular, which is always a great sign. They have an awesome lineup of diner-esque bites, with lots of handhelds, tons of salads and sides on display through the glass, and hearty American fare favorites. I opted for the smash burger with a gluten free bun and a side of apple slaw. Service is counter - quick and efficient. They call your name when your order is up, which isn't long. We opted to eat outside in the alley surrounded by awesome artwork on buildings. It's quieter than inside and stunning! The burger was a *smash* hit. Pun intended. Flavorful, juicy, and not too greasy. Just perfect!
Great spot for a quick breakfast. The breakfast burrito was really good, flavorful, and filling, and the service was fast which makes it easy to grab something on the go. The place has a cool market-style feel with a lively atmosphere and lots to look at. Overall just a nice, casual place to stop in and enjoy a good meal.
My son and I love this place. Everything is so fresh and clean. It is a little spicy. But we did go for Mexican while we were there not the Mediterranean. They do serve an eclectic menu. This is counter service inside of Central market. They're tucked away in the back, but they're very much worth going to visit. They have all kinds of deli sides to choose from. They have hot rotisserie chickens. They have a seasonal beef right now that goes on a spicy Philly sandwich. I had a taco bowl that had a rotisserie chicken on top. I got a mix of rice and arugula for the base everything and there was divine and super flavorful with big lime wedges on top to squeeze all over everything. My son got a taco plate and he truly enjoyed the seasonal beef that they had going Today. I will absolutely go again. I've had their sides before and everything I've had there has been wonderful.
We came in for lunch and left with an experience! This unassuming countertop sandwich shop located at the back of the Denver Central Market served what may be the single best dish we've ever tried! The Sticky Icky Popcorn Chicken. The vibe is laid back, the service quick and the food boss. They serve tons of sandwiches, burger and salads, but we were just in the mood for something small to tide us over until dinner. Enter, the magical chicken! The lady working the counter was very nice and confirmed our choice. We're glad she did! The chicken pieces are fried to bite (or two) size proportions and then covered in a caramelized fish sauce, sesame and cilantro. They come with lime and some house made pickles. The first bite and we were hooked - I'm a big savory guy and this HITS THAT SAVORY HARD! It was a coordinated dance of crunch, umami, freshness, a little sour and a little bitter from the pickle. It was chew longer food! Straight up, if you can only try one food this year, this is it! Get a second order for your mom! Get it to impress your friends! But most of all, just try it out - your mouth with thank you!
This is a cute spot in the corner of the Denver Central Market food hall! The food tasted amazing! I loved the flavor profile of the chicken, the sauce was sooo good. It's a fish sauce base, so it has that great umami note to it. I just wish it had a specific sauce or came with a slaw or something to help cut the umami and balance it out. I think it would've tasted better in sandwich form with a slaw and spicy mayo type sauce on a sweet bun (something like Hawaiian bread). That said, it was still delicious and I ate it up!! The portions were HUGE though, and I wish I had just split it with my friend instead us both getting our own meals. This came out to $30 so it would've been worth it if I had been able to keep the leftovers (we were off to a museum right after). It was fairly quick too! Service was very nice and very kind.
This spot is located inside the Denver Central Market. Heard great things about the fried chicken sandwich and was in the area so I had to try it for myself. I shared the chicken sandwich as well as sides of roasted potatoes and broccoli and cauliflower with my partner and it was plenty of food. We were impressed with the flavors in the fried chicken sandwich and can confirm that it was delicious! The sides were tasty as well! Would recommend to anyone that loves fried chicken sandwiches.
I got the skirt steak sandy and it was horrible steak! Every bite was chewy and fatty nasty! I coulnt eat the rest of my hoagie. My girlfriend got the chicken Thai lettuce wraps and it wasn't even made for her and it was 20$! The chicken was some rotisserie bs. No seasoning and horrible toppings.
I really wanted to love this place, but we left very underwhelmed. This was actually the first spot we tried after moving to Denver two weeks ago, same day we moved in (so we were very hungry). We spent about $46 on what you see in the photos (minus the cucumber salad), which felt steep for the portion sizes. The mac and cheese had good flavor but was extremely soupy, with very few noodles...more like a soup than mac and cheese. The fries were solid - crispy and well-seasoned. The chicken I ordered tasted good, but the presentation was odd. It was literally just a bowl of chicken, which felt strange. A bento box or better plating would have gone a long way. My fiancé ordered the Vietnamese lettuce wraps with chicken, which turned out to be deconstructed/build-your-own style. They were pretty flavorful, but again the presentation felt off, it was frustrating to eat as the butter lettuce was ripped, and the portions were small for the price. This was also a presented as weird ramekin of chicken. I also tried the cucumber salad (not pictured), but it was overly heavy on dill and too saucy, so I ended up not finishing it. Overall, while there were some tasty bites, the portion sizes, presentation, and value didn't quite hit the mark for us.
The menu here is comfort food on steroids and I felt like the Hulk after eating my patty melt sandwich. When I got to the counter, there was a line, but the service was fast and very friendly. The patty melt is only on their specials menu, but I highly recommend it if it's available when you visit. A thick 6oz patty all beef patty topped with grilled onions, and cheese all on toasted sourdough. The dipping sauce that comes with it was practically drinkable and it sort of like a thousand island sauce. I only finished half of the patty melt likely because I also shared a massive tray of birria fries with my party. Their birria is all beef, which normally birria is made with goat, but it was still amazing. I love the way they add the cheese straight to grill and then mix it with the beef. Then all of this is placed on top shoe strings french fries along with a bowl consomé. Love crispy chicken sandwiches? My friend told me their fried chicken sandwich might be the best in the city and is his go to when visiting here. We took a lyft here, but I did hear the parking can be a nightmare so be prepared and maybe try to visit during a week day.
Decided to snack here while working. It was hard for me to choose between the popcorn chicken or the array of deli salads. There wasn't much of a line around 4 PM on a weekday. The service was extremely friendly! I decided to go for an array of deli salads along with some beers from the nearby bar. There were so many salads to choose from, but I restricted myself and got only four instead of five. We got the beet poke, German potato salad, classic potato salad, and Hawaiian mac salad. Beet poke - I am a fan of beets, but I don't eat yellow beets often. Who had the genius idea to prepare it with the same flavoring as poke? I want to go home and re-create it! This was my favorite item. Mac salad - This is your standard Hawaiian macaroni salad. The ratio of mayo and carrots to the macaroni was good. It wasn't as addicting as the one from L&L, but it's probably because it has less mayo. German potato salad - This was acidic. The mustard flavor popped. The potatoes are chopped up fingerlings and not cubed standard potatoes. It was fun to eat! If you love sour and mustard flavors, this one is for you. Traditional potato salad - This one had a more chill flavor compared to the German one. It was creamy and my second favorite out of the four. It held up the mayo well. It was seasoned perfectly. This kept us full until a late dinner later. We shared it between two people. I would come back more often if I lived nearby!
This place is in a food court like place but more hip. We placed our order at the counter. I was told food will take 15-20 minutes. I had the steak sandwich. Steak was very tender and overall sandwich had a good balance in taste. I had fries on the side and that was pretty good. It wasnt soggy. It was very tasty. My daughter has the Vietnamese wrap and I had a bite. It tasted fresh and refreshing. My mom had the mediterranean and also had a taste. It came with hummus and babaganoush. The hubs and I came to Denver central market with friends and this spot immediately caught my eye. I'm not a vegetarian but I love when restaurants get creative with vegetarian offerings. I saw the fried oyster mushroom lettuce wraps and knew that was going to be lunch. Un. Be. Lievable. So crunchy, perfectly seasoned and just packed with flavor. Our friend doesn't like mushrooms and she asked for a bite. And a second bite. She ended by saying, hey if you need any help finishing those mushrooms, I'm here. The hubs got the breakfast sandwich with sausage and avocado and it was perfectly prepared as well. The sourdough bread was buttery and crisp in all the right places. 100 percent awesome sandwiches and experience. It pays to leave downtown and take a short walk (about 20 mins from union station). There are a ton of choices that are in the market but these reviews don't lie. I'm a big French dip guy and this take with chicken is the best. The bread was freshly baked, the portion of chicken was plentiful. Au jus? Oh yes, so fresh, could just put a couple of chunks from the sandwich into the broth and you could call it an amazing soup. They opened up just a few months ago, one of the first new concepts since DCM's inception. From owner/chef, Zach Spott, Lunchboxx focuses on global cuisine matched with childhood nostalgia. I was incredibly bummed when his former spot, Brass Tacks, closed its doors. If you're like me and loved the food there, Lunchboxx will bring back some of those bar favorites, with an expanded menu. Fried Chicken Sandwich // buttermilk fried chicken, gochugaro honey glaze, cherry pepper slaw, chile lime mayo, sesame brioche bun. Don't walk, RUN. An exquisitely crafted sandwich. The crackly skin, tender chicken, sweet and rich glaze, crisp slaw, and soft bun turns one of the most basic sandwiches into something truly extraordinary. The chicken itself is surprisingly light, not heavy or dense like many of its counterparts. This is a 5-star sandwich through and through, enough for me to hop on here and shout its praises after just one visit. I hadn't been to DCM in a long time. With so many great restaurants in such a close proximity, I felt like those outweighed the options at the market. Not anymore. If I'm anywhere near DCM, I'll be drawn in like a magnet. If this sandwich is any indicator of the rest of the menu, Lunchboxx is the new spot for 5-star noshing. read more
This lovely place is located inside of the Denver Central Market in the back left corner. My first impression was how friendly the staff was. The employee that helped me with my order was enthusiastic and appeared to really enjoy his job. He helped me decide on the Mediterranean bowl to take home for dinner. I noticed the popcorn chicken while I was waiting and decided I simply must have some. When I got home I was pleasantly surprised to see they served and packaged my meal so that it could be eaten later without any soggy pita or mixing of hot & cold ingredients. I appreciated the extra effort they took to ensure I enjoyed my meal at home! The Mediterranean bowl was delicious. The rotisserie chicken was cooked perfectly & the bowl was busting with flavor! The service was great, my food was ready in no time, & the food was delicious!! I will definitely be back next time I'm in the area. read more

First time at Denver Central Market and I was not disappointed by Lunchboxx. Their food was delicious and FRESH. I enjoyed the fresh chicken and Mac & cheese. I loved the vary on the menu from protein options to the delicious sides. The place is spacious and have lots of sitting areas. We stopped by Denver Central market on our last morning in Denver, and to say the least it was packed out the door. With some maneuvering, we were able to get a table that accommodated our party, and now face the challenge of choosing which vendor to order- omission all on its own. After many tough debates, i chose the steak sandwich from the lunchboxx - it was incredible. They use the freshest and most tender skirt steak, cooked and seasoned perfectly, piled into a delicious sub with arugula, roasted, red peppers, crispy onions and aji Verde on ciabatta - a winner indeed. Given the number of people in line and in the food hall in general, it was surprising that it did not take terribly long for me to get to the front, or to get my food, but be prepared for a standard 20 minute wait no matter how you slice it. The sandwich was big and generous with lots of steak packed in, and I wasn't able to finish it all in one sitting. It even included aside, and they have so many side options, I chose a cold-served bowtie pesto pasta, which was the perfect accompaniment. But really, they had so many options. I can't wait to come back to Denver and try another sandwich at the lunchboxx! read more
This place can meet a variety of tastes for the whole group and is a perfect lunch spot. I went with a Boxx. You choose your protein (I chose the rotisserie chicken) and your "Boxx" type - tacos, Mediterranean, Vietnamese lettuce wraps, etc. The food is GOOD, and filling, yet still light. I went with the lettuce wraps, and the flavors were great. You can also order a la carte off the menu, or a sandwich. You can take it to go or there's outdoor seating next to the market. read more

This place is hard to go wrong with. From the burger, to the chicken salad sandwich, and everything in between I've been impressed with. The food is always fresh and I love their rotisserie chicken cooked right there. My boyfriend Isaiah works nearby and goes there almost daily for lunch so it's always a treat when I get to go too. The employees are always friendly and remember us when we go so the vibe is great. read more

Lunchboxx is located inside of The Denver central Market and offers a variety of delicious sandwiches, deli items and other lunch options! My fiancé is Gluten Free and recently found Lunchboxx- they offer GF options for most of their sandwiches and the GF bread they use is soooo good! His go-to is the Curry Chicken Salad sandwich, it's such a unique and fun twist on the traditional- it comes overflowing with incredible roasted chicken salad, yellow curry, coconut cream, cashews, fish sauce, cilantro, lemongrass and cashews... and let me tell you, this is it! My mouth is watering just thinking about it! This spot is an absolute must try in Denver! read more

Lunchboxx is perfect for when you want something that's hearty but not too heavy! I got the Vietnamese wraps and my friend got the tacos. Both were really light and refreshing, but filled us up. Not to mention the meat was so tender and juicy, I couldn't stop eating it! The service was also relatively quick and the servers were super friendly. read more
Wow! Stopped in for the lettuce wraps with chicken, and the street tacos with pork (see pics). Both were amazing and so fresh - even the next day (so much food we ended up with some leftovers - yay!). The staff were super friendly and service was quick... I was in, ordered, and out the door with all the goodies in less than 10 minutes. I need to head over to Central Market more often, and Lunchboxx is just the place to motivate me to do that. So good. Sooooo GOOOOD! I don't know how, but these guys can make delicious food! My husband and I ordered Market bento boxx with pulled chicken and Mediterranean boxx with pulled pork. Both dishes were phenomenal. Even my 7 year old said "I don't know what kind of food this is, but it's really good". LOL Also, they had daily special breakfast sandwich for $5, and it was delicious, too. I would love to visit again to try other dishes! read more
I wanted to try the fried chicken sandwich but they were sadly sold out :( instead I got the lemon herb chicken salad sandwich ($13) through the recommendation of the cashier and it was really good. I'm not much of a chicken salad person but this was amazing. The bread was also really good too! The sandwich left me wanting some more and I definitely wanna try the fried chicken sandwich one day. I first discovered Lunchboxx through the Yelp Elite event back in February. Ever since then, I've been thinking about the amazing pork carnitas. This desire to try it again lead to a recent stop at the Denver Central Market location. I got the same Plate again, the Mediterranean with the pork. It was as good as the first time! Lunchboxx is a great spot to grab food, and the location inside of the market is prefect to get a meal, drink, and dessert in one stop! read more
The Denver Central Market is very unique and has many options! Lunchboxx is one of the multiple businesses inside that you can get a quick and delicious lunch at! They have 4 lunch box options with your choice of protein (rotisserie chicken, grilled skirt steak, pork carnitas, tempura mushrooms). I ordered the street tacos with chicken. They come with 4 tortillas, cabbage, pickled onions, chiles, avocado, lime and red and green salsas. This box option is $14. They also have 6 different sandwiches and cold deli style side options such as, macaroni, potato, pasta and veggie salad. Additionally, they have hot sides including, fries, elote, veggies, rice. There is also a few shelves with different sauces and dressings that can be purchased. The staff was very friendly and it was only a 10 minute wait for my take out order. I would love to come back and try something else! read more

Yummy! So good. Lunchboxx is located in the Denver Central Market. I got the Vietnamese lettuce wraps with rotisserie chicken. All the sauces are so flavorful and the ingredients are so fresh! I would come here everyday if I could. The staff was super friendly and it took about 5 minutes for my food to be ready. I would highly recommend! read more

Yum!!! I normally go to Green Seed when I visit Denver but decided to change it up and I was not disappointed. I tried the chicken salad sandwich with cucumber salad and green beans. All excellent - the light lemon flavor in the sandwich is A+. The star of the show is the creamy, spicy cold queso! I am obsessed! Definitely a must try! read more
Great place inside the back left corner of central market. The person behind the counter that helped me was great - he walked me through the menu options, and made some recommendations. I went with the Mediterranean box - with chicken as my protein. The order came out fairly quickly (less than 8 minutes). The chicken was super flavorful, moist, and perfectly cooked. It comes with grilled pita triangles, baba ghanoush, hummus, and a marinated Greek salad (spicy dressing on cucumbers and tomatoes). It was all very flavorful - right amount of spice/zip, and a lovely presentation. There's counter/bar seats across from where you order, and there's also a deli-style counter with lots of fun things (I.e. beet poke)? I didn't try it - but it looked good and I'm excited to come back and try more of the menu!! read more
I really love Mediterranean food especially when the ingredients are fresh and seasoned well. I got a chance to have the Mediterranean box and it was so yummy. The hummus was fresh and creamy with lots of flavor. The salad was fresh and the chicken was to die for. I cannot wait to go back! read more

Denver Central Market is a great landmark in Denver to visit for a variety of foods and great social atmosphere. Note, street parking can be a bit challenging. Lunchboxx Is fairly new to the Market. They have an intriguing menu, featuring street tacos with a choice of rotisserie chicken, pork carnitas, tempura mushrooms, and grilled skirt steak for an up charge of $3. I had the rotisserie chicken , which was absolutely delicious. Cooked to perfection, juicy and tender might I add. I also had the hummus, which I couldn't ask for better. My only disappointment was the steak fries. The steak was cooked to perfection but both the fries were cold and the steak was served under a temperature to my liking. They remade the feature and the fries came out over cooked and the steak was made for complainers, bloody and tough unlike the first serving. Total waste of $15. Yes, I would return and try other menu options. read more

Stopped here for lunch our first day in Denver. Absolutely loved the market! So many food and drink options. Someone recommended lunchbox to us and I'm so glad they did. It was delicious! I had the lemon herb chicken salad sandwich with fries ($13). My boyfriend had the fried chicken sandwich with pasta salad ($14). Everything tasted so fresh and the portions were big! I saved half the sandwich for later. A little pricey but I think it's worth it because of the flavor and quality. Definitely try them out next time you go to the Denver Central Market! read more

Alright alright alright. I made time to drive out the 25 minutes to Denver Central Market to enjoy Lunchboxx's Yelp event. I'm so glad I went! Normally I stay at the location and enjoy the meal but today I decided to take it to go. As I waited in line to order, every dish that came out looked amazing and made me salivate. Then I stared at the menu for what felt like forever because there's so much to choose from. The staff was super nice and helpful with their suggestions or best sellers and personal choices. In the end I decided on building my own plate: pork carnitas, mojo sauce, smashed fingerling potatoes, and soy tahini broccoli and cauliflower. When I came home and unboxed my meal I thought 'this isn't enough.' I WAS WRONG. I am so incredibly happy as I lounge on my couch after eating that meal. It was definitely enough food! The pork was so juicy even reheated! I was skeptical, wrong again! The potatoes were so incredibly tender, and as a potato addict that's super important. The broccoli and cauliflower side had quite a lot of flower and it was an unexpected twist. Unfortunately I scarfed down my pork without even using the mojo sauce so I can't even review it. I'm sad the meal is over and can't wait to return. read more
