But if it, from the pickled red onion, to the pulled BBQ pork, the delicious ham, pita rounds! I about devoured all of it single handed! Give Rosemary's Baby cocktail a try. So good. Perfectly complemented the Farm Table starter! My main dish I ordered was the Green Fried Tomato BLT sandwich. I ended up eating that the next day because I indulged in the appetizer. But let me tell you that sandwich is flipping delightful! Besides lettuce, bacon, fried green tomatoes, the sandwich is complemented with the most amazing tasting pimento cheese. Who came up with this insane combo of deliciousness? I can't wait to go back and try some other goodies! Like I said, went on a Friday evening with no reservations. I've been here several times and every single time they just don't miss! Like 1 time the brussel sprouts were not charred enough but the waitress was so cool about it & took the whole plate back!! The vibes here are nice. I had the boneless fried chicken with hot honey and it gave a nice flavor to it. The thigh was better to me because thighs always hold their flavor better. Finally made it around to this place after a full year of living here and driving/walking past it a million or so times. Convenient location in Scott's with a very appealing vibe. So many seating options - indoor, outdoor, enclosed patio, etc... and all of it is so uniquely decorated in a very urban-artsy way. Their hodgepodge menu has something for everyone - we went with the BBQ Sundae, which was a great way to essentially sample a million tasty things in one cohesive plate - highlights were the macaroni and the pickles. The fried green tomatoes were topped with pimento cheese and bacon. The breading was crispy, and the cheese balanced the tomato and the bacon. I think they could have cut down on the amount of onions in the green beans for the salmon dish, but overall it was very flavorful and the salmon was flakey. I ordered my food to-go since I was staying in the area and it held up pretty well. My waitress was super nice and was very helpful in choosing what to get. The bartender was very kind and provided opinions and suggestions on various dishes to help us decide what to order. We ordered the espresso martini for drinks, a waffle with country hash and eggs, the brisket bowl, an omelette, and the hummus board. The food was pretty standard breakfast fare, but it was good! It also came with fries which were pretty standard. The service was slower, but it was a busy night, and our server was very attentive! Jugs of water was provided for our large table. What a gem! If you haven't tried Lunch & Supper - now's the time. Lunch, dinner or brunch, all are worth trying. Just a tip, they do not take reservations so give yourself a little window before you are starving. They do have a beer garden that you can grab a drink and hang out it while you wait on your table. In the beer garden they also have tons of plantar boxes full of vegetables and herbs they grow and use. Some of my favorite and most recommended items is the southern charcuterie board (probably not the exact name but the appetizer that's a BBQ style charcuterie), the chicken and waffles - trust me it is so delicious, the short ribs/brussel sprours and any of the brunch bowls! We went to the supper side and for me this was the culinary highlight of our Richmond weekend. We chose to sit at the bar to reduce our wait time. The bartenders gave excellent service despite being busy with drink orders. The food was excellent. We had the wings for an appetizer, 6 buffalo and 6 BBQ. Both sauces were delicious. We also had the spinach salad. Best thing we tried in my opinion. Great flavor combinations. And the Rivercity Smokehouse sandwich. The sandwich was also good. The Mac and cheese is an excellent side and the brussel sprout coleslaw was good as well. The highlight though were the mixed drinks. Service was solid but let's focus on the food. - Chicken & waffles * the waffle was decent: nice & soft * the fried chicken was pretty good (I'm pretty sure it was chicken breast rather than chicken thighs which is always good to know). - Krispy Kreme bread pudding * it was decent but nothing impressive (Side note: my mom had the burger and was very disappointed by it. My child and her friend just wrapped up their two day college orientation and we all decided to stop by for late Lunch . Supper! before heading back home to NoVa since the kids were hungry. Wasn't sure what to expect but we were glad we stopped by. The main restaurants decor was unique. We were seated in the extension side of the restaurant that looks like a walk-in greenhouse and it was comfy as it also has air conditioning. We ordered the appetizer called pork rind nachos and it was amazing!! Who knew you can make "chicharones" into nachos?? This was the highlight of our meal and will definitely come back for more! We also split a burger called the clucker with fries and another burger (which I can't remember ) but it was also good! Service and atmosphere were also great! We came here on a rainy day, unfortunately we didn't have any reservations so we had to wait outside for about 30 mins. Luckily they had a covered area with heaters! I was visiting the RVA area from California and wanted to try some good southern eats...I've never heard of pimento cheese before so I ordered the fried green tomatoes with pimento cheese. Oh my gosh it was soooo delicious! It contrasted and paired well with the fried green tomatoes. My boyfriend and I both ordered chicken and waffles, and I ordered mine with cheese grits. I also ordered my chicken spicy and it was super yummy! It had the perfect amount of kick to it and the cheese grits helped cool off my palate. Also the portions were humongous and we had to take the rest to go. We were seated on the outside covered patio and it was kept nice and toasty.
