The bartender was very kind and provided opinions and suggestions on various dishes to help us decide what to order. We ordered the espresso martini for drinks, a waffle with country hash and eggs, the brisket bowl, an omelette, and the hummus board. The food was pretty standard breakfast fare, but it was good! What a gem! If you haven't tried Lunch & Supper - now's the time. Lunch, dinner or brunch, all are worth trying. Just a tip, they do not take reservations so give yourself a little window before you are starving. They do have a beer garden that you can grab a drink and hang out it while you wait on your table. In the beer garden they also have tons of plantar boxes full of vegetables and herbs they grow and use. Some of my favorite and most recommended items is the southern charcuterie board (probably not the exact name but the appetizer that's a BBQ style charcuterie), the chicken and waffles - trust me it is so delicious, the short ribs/brussel sprours and any of the brunch bowls! We went to the supper side and for me this was the culinary highlight of our Richmond weekend. We chose to sit at the bar to reduce our wait time. The bartenders gave excellent service despite being busy with drink orders. The food was excellent. We had the wings for an appetizer, 6 buffalo and 6 BBQ. Both sauces were delicious. We also had the spinach salad. Best thing we tried in my opinion. Great flavor combinations. And the Rivercity Smokehouse sandwich. The sandwich was also good. The Mac and cheese is an excellent side and the brussel sprout coleslaw was good as well. The highlight though were the mixed drinks. We tried almost everything on the spring drink menu and I would prefer any of them again. The "Don't Lime To Me" was particularly cool since it tasted like a boozy key lime pie. They are very consistent from my experience. I had the wings today and a cup of chili. Both were decent. My only critiques are I got 12 wings and I got one drum and 11 flats. Came in on a cold, very cold, winter day to enjoy lunch with a friend. It can be hard to find lunch options that are interesting/different at a reasonable price point.. I think this place hits the mark for both. It's got you covered if you're in the mood for brunch or a more traditional lunch, but everything is more interesting than your standard fare. The lunch side of the restaurant is small and parking for both restaurants can be challenging if you don't want to pay money lol but it's not too bad if you don't mind a short walk. The small room was a challenge on a cold day though because every time somebody opened the door, you definitely got a draft Service was friendly and efficient, especially when we were undecided for quite a bit and we both ended up very happy with our orders. I got the Rick-fil-A with the aïoli on the side and my friend got the Pickled and Fries sandwich. The Rick-fil-A is a wonderfully elevated breakfast sandwich with chicken save sausage, fries egg, candied bacon, mixed greens, and I switched out American cheese for cheddar because I'm not an American cheese fan. It was so good. I didn't even need the chipotle mayo. And I think the English muffin that came with it is homemade?! The side of cheese grits was also very good even though they got cold pretty fast. We love this place. The beef, mash potatoes and greens never miss. Even though I was given a beef with a lot of fat on it, my waitress Karla took it away and replaced it with a new one. Decided to come here on a Friday night with a group after seeing all the rave reviews. The place was adorable, with great outdoor seating and the service was excellent. The menu has a great variety of options with breakfast and brunch served all day. We got some great cocktails to start, then a range of entrees - massive salads, chicken sandwich, veggie dish, smash burger and a salmon burger. All solid and would order again (special shoutout to the brioche burger buns). To conclude the meal, I'm not a desert person, however we got the blueberry crisp with homemade cinnamon ice and lemme just say it was absolutely delightful! I was visiting the RVA area from California and wanted to try some good southern eats...I've never heard of pimento cheese before so I ordered the fried green tomatoes with pimento cheese. Oh my gosh it was soooo delicious! It contrasted and paired well with the fried green tomatoes. My boyfriend and I both ordered chicken and waffles, and I ordered mine with cheese grits. I also ordered my chicken spicy and it was super yummy! It had the perfect amount of kick to it and the cheese grits helped cool off my palate. Also the portions were humongous and we had to take the rest to go. We were seated on the outside covered patio and it was kept nice and toasty.
