Go here for breakfast! There is inside and outside seating. There is a small parking lot and there are metered spots behind. The staff was super friendly and gracious. Very clean. The banana bread French toast was delicious! (I tried my daughter's.) I had the two egg breakfast with grits and corned beef hash - yum. I love old school "hash from the can" griddled to crispy perfection on the grill. And, I subbed a biscuit for the toast. GET THE BISCUIT - so big and tasty. My husband enjoyed his eggs bene - said the eggs were poached well, still runny and the hollandaise was very good. I personally would need more on mine, but I'm a sauce/gravy lover!!!! Only reason it's not a 5 star is I felt we had to ask for things, like refills. But, we will DEFINITELY be back. Really enjoyed our breakfast. read more

Meh. That really sums it up for me. Maybe it was the amount of recommendations I got for this place for breakfast, or the rave reviews online in general. But wow was I disappointed in the quality of the food itself. I loved the throwback diner vibe and the decently sized patio outside, it really blends well with the modern yet old south nature of the Myrtle Beach strip. Our server was attentive and very knowledgeable about the menu. I wanted to make some additions and alterations to fit my dietary needs, and I was welcomed with a yes and a smile. Then the food came out. I was excited about my side dish more than anything. Grits + the south = a home run. At least that's how it should go, I was highly disappointed in what came across like mashed potatoes rather than creamy/cheese, or classic salt and pepper textured grits. I'm not sure if they whipped them too long or added too much butter but it was a liquified mess. So the main course was the banana bread French toast, our Uber driver recommended it to us as he dropped us off at the hotel. It tasted so bland and unimpressive that I rather it just taste burnt or too sweet...but taste like something. The texture once again stood out to me, it was soft and undercooked with no crisp edges. The banana flavor was nonexistent unfortunately, I had to rely on the walnuts and whipped cream to stomach the soggy bread underneath. Lastly the eggs, I ordered a side because it's not breakfast to me without a few eggs. That turned out to be my biggest mistake, the eggs had a weird powdery taste. I've had egg whites, or those fast food eggs from breakfast restaurants but this was completely different it didn't taste like egg at all. This cafe came highly suggested by our Uber driver but I didn't care for it at all. I ordered a hot water because it was freezing inside and I'm not a coffee drinker but the mug was dirty and cracked. I decided to just get a water instead. My food was not good. The scrambled eggs were awful and had a very powdery taste to them and the banana bread French toast was super mushy like it had been soaking too long. My mom had over easy eggs, toast and home fries and she liked her meal but said the home fries were over salted so she only ate a few bites. My bf had French toast and a side of grits. He ate the grits but left most of the French toast. I think our bill was like $47. This place is convenient when staying at the Hilton and others seem to like it but it definitely wasn't for me. read more

Very retro diner-feel inside Lulu's which was ultimately our biggest driver (that and it being 10 minutes away from the hotel by foot) I'm not a huge brunch fan to begin with and although this wasn't my favorite spot I've been, it's for sure a decent one in the area with a choice for everyone. The food was great. My family and I were here almost every day of our vacation. We had a wonderful southern breakfast with grits, corn beef hash, biscuits smothered in gravy. Food was really Good and the service was great. I came here because my fiancé loves gravely biscuits and I saw they had a chicken biscuit smothered in sausage gravy and we had to try it. I'll give the biscuit a 9/10. I think I would like it with a spicy pimento cheese and eggs. But either way we cleaned out plates!!
