My darling Lululemon. Even in Beverly Hills, the workers here are friendly and helpful. Considering how close they are to Rodeo Drive, you may expect some snobbery. Maybe it's the fact that I always happen to be wearing Lululemon when I'm shopping at Lululemon, but the ladies are always complimentary and willing to find me exactly what I want. If you know anyone that loves Yoga, this would be an easy gift certificate. Their clothes are outstanding, don't lose their shape, and just wear so nicely. I am officially addicted and have been to just about every store in the region. Oh, and what the poster below said is not true. You can return any Lululemon clothes to any Lululemon store (within the country, I believe), as long as the tags are still attached, it's in new condition, and it's within 14 days. The Lulu store in Fashion Island (Newport) is my home town store. Today I stopped in here to see if they had anymore of my fave capris left from summer.... This store is pretty and fully stocked. I found out today that each Lulu store is individually owned and operated. So, if what I bought in L.A. didn't work out, I wouldn't be able to exchange or return it in Newport. Kind of a bummer cuz I came in straight from working out and was pretty sweaty. I didn't want to try anything on and sweaty it all up! I probably won't shop at this one because of that policy. But, if you live nearby check it out....also they don't have a "sale" rack, but I noticed many items with sale prices sprinkled throughout the store. read more

Thanks for NOTHING! Talk about bad quality and customer service! I bought two yoga mats less than a year ago and they've already lost their grip. I only do yoga twice a week and alternate between the two mats. When I brought the mats into the store to show the poor quatlity, the salespeople told me that's just normal wear and tear and I should put a towel down. Kidding, right? That's terrible quality - yoga mats should last at least a full year. VERY disappointed! read more

Great workout clothes! Great friendly staff. The best part about it is when you find things on sale here, they are such a steal (in comparison to full price). I love the reversible groove pants...I have 4 pairs. Definitely note that they stretch and run big. I went a size up because I didn't want them too tight, but sometimes when I am running or working out I am constantly pulling them up which is a pain. I even went down a size on one pair and those do the same. I am tempted to go down another size on my next pair! Be sure to try things on. Sale pieces are final sale and sizes definitely are not standard across all garments. In one style pant you may be 2 sizes smaller than another. Just an FYI. Everything is super cute and comfy. I have to say I love Lululemon! Wether I shop in Vancouver, San Francisco or Los Angeles, the staff has always been more then helpful. They always greet me with a big smile and such enthusiasm, willing to get me new styles and sizes from the dressing rooms. I bought a pair of sweatpants 5 years back, they still have not pilled or faded. You might think $98 dollars is a bit pricey, but for the fit, durability and quality its totally worth it! Everything is really tailored for making a girl look hot while working out. If you buy a pair of pants from them they will do the hemming for you. Now that I've seen the test of time with the quality, I'm slowly adding more and more lululemon to my work at arsenal. Love the clothes! Customer Service at it's best. Returned a top after wearing it a few times. The seam didn't hit me right on my shoulder and it was causing my skin to be irritated. Easy to return and exchange for another item. After telling the cashier that I am a group fitness instructor they signed me up for their R & D program which saves me 15% off off! SCORE! Every time I'm in LA I come back to visit and always end up finding something I MUST have. Their groove pants make your booty look great and the tops are 'uplifting.' Great, quality activewear. The prices are higher than other sport lines, but the quality and the fit make it worth it. They carry both men and women lines. The sales people are extremely attentive and offer ideas and even happily guide guests to sales racks. I'm a Lululemon junkie! I can't seem to get enough of this place. It's definitely pricey, but well worth it in my opinion. The items I've purchased here have helped me through two 50-Mile MS Walks (where you walk 50 miles over 3 days), 20-mile+ bike rides, hikes from here to Timbuktu (okay, not really, but long hikes, nonetheless), rock climbing in Joshua Tree and a 3-week stint is sweaty, humid Thailand. I think my first Lulu purchase was at least 2 years ago (if not longer) and that piece of item is still in really good condition--a testament to its durability. Today I stopped by because months ago (back in September) I purchased some pants with drawstring bottoms. Well, I finally decided that I was tired of the bottoms dragging along the floor, so I brought them in to get them hemmed and the ladies at Lulu were happy to help! Believe it or not, I am really not a brand girl... throw a cheesy name or logo on something and its that much less appealing. And its the same that whenever I see that little yoga symbol on the back of a woman's pant I think... poser. So it took some teeth pulling for me to finally see what everyone else was raving about. Heres the scenario, I was at Equinox getting ready to take a spin class whenI realized that I totally forgot my sports bra at home. I quickly ran in to our pro shop and spotted the cross over bra in a cute kelly green and it seemed like a match. I tried it in class, the material breathed and was comfortable and stayed in place and I loved my little fashion statement-"I wear a colored bra with white tank." Now you have a believer. The Lululemon on North Beverly Drive literally made me go WOW. This is seriously one of the most gorgeous Lulu's I've ever set foot in... it's humongous and their selection is amazing. Love this location! Everyone is so friendly and attentive. Everyone knows their stuff. They have answered all my questions pertaining to the brand and product. Came here yesterday to see what they can do about a bag I bought from here 2 months ago and I never realized that one of the small pockets had a hole at the bottom. They didn't have the same bag in stock anymore, but they told me to just choose another one. I think I like the newer style much, much better! Also picked up some GREAT marked down items. They have a large sale section and I was able to pick up 2 hoodies and a pair of crop leggings for $172 - retail price: $314 for all 3 items. Pretty psyched about this haul. Great Lululemon store! I work down the street, so I pop in from time to time. They are always extremely friendly and attentive and are able to offer solutions even when they don't have the stock in the store. The only reason for four stars is that sometimes they lack stock in the men's department. They mention it can be shipped and will only take a few days, but it would be nice to try it on the store but they are often out of my popular medium size :( teardrops on my guitar. Otherwise, great and attentive store. A large amount of parking garages nearby which are normally 1-2 hours free if you need to just pop in for some new athletic attire. read more

I received the worst customer service from an unbelievably SEXIST AND RACIST educator (sales associate). The educator came up to me as I was perusing the racks asking me what athletic activity I enjoy. When I responded with, "Running and basketball", he responded with, "Wow, your English is so good!" I've grown up and lived in LA my entire life- of course my English is going to be good. When I explained that I'm not from China, he back-pedaled a little and tried to pick at my experience in basketball. He said, "Oh, I didn't know girls played basketball." As a woman who's played basketball for almost 20 years, this comment was beyond infuriating. I tried to hold my cool and explained to him that there are basketball leagues for girls and women in the LA area, many of which I've played in for a significant time. I tried to politely drop hints that he should leave me alone, but it seemed like he was completely clueless. I ended up leaving before purchasing the items I went there specifically to buy. This happened awhile ago (maybe 1-2 years) but I recently drove by and was reminded of the incident and wanted to make sure others are made aware before going in. I've never experienced such horrendous customer service at all the other lululemon stores I've been to, including the one down the street on Robertson. Overall, selection is impressive and they always have the hard to find items that usually sell out the day they're released at other stores. I was here with a friend who was shopping and spending. While waiting for my friend I idly looked through the sale merchandise. A sales person saw me, looked me up and down and walked over to the rack and rudely stated "You're looking at the wrong size! You MIGHT find something over THERE". Freakin' A! I fell off the healthy eating wagon and consumed a box of powdered donuts, an In N' Out burger, fries, a chocolate shake, and 12 fried chicken wings. Oh, and a king-sized snickers ice cream bar. Gawd, don't I feel like a heifer! Saddle bags, chunky thighs, muffin tops beware, Lululemon groove pants are here! Just to clarify things, so you readers don't think I'm secretly afflicted with some binge-order disease, I didn't consume any of the aforementioned items. In fact, I don't believe I have had any of the said items in over a year . . . well, maybe save for the chicken wings. But, I did make up that little white lie to add dramatic flare and emphasis. But truly, having been a seasonal employee at Lululemon, I can launch into my raving review from firsthand experience and an in-depth look into all the company represents. From the outside looking in, the environmentally conscientious and sustainable method touting employees may strike you as nothing more than peace, love and happiness tree-huggers, who flutter around the store promoting all things yoga. But my friends, how wrong you would be. Undoubtedly, the culture of Lululemon is indeed unique, one that would lead many to scoff at and reject at first glance or opportunity. Looking deeper into what that unique, or as some would say odd culture entails, would reveal a powerful ideal that encompasses so much more than workout clothes or yoga wear. The intention of Lululemon is to bring together communities, increase social and environmental awareness, help bring forth fitness, health and wellness, and inspire everyone to tap into the rich vastness of resources that are within each one of us. Clearly, Lululemon's workout apparel is there merely to scratch the surface of something much broader. Okay, I don't want to be serious anymore, so now it's back to the funny business : ) As I was saying, if you are a female and want to look awesome (more like hot!) while working out, and like me, don't care to tote around five extra pounds from a sweat-drenched t-shirt, or wear shorts that ride up faster than Lance Armstrong during the Tour De France, or your running shoes are Adidas and all of your shorts are Nike, or vice versa, then Lululemon is where it's at. Pricey? Yes. In fact, the prices can be quite hefty for some workout pants or a little sports bra. But, you get what you pay for and the quality and care that goes into the Lululemon apparel makes for a long shelf life, or more importantly, a longer time for you to look awesome and hot while working out. Isn't that the point of working out in the first place? To look awesome and hot, and uh, to be healthy. While the most popular pant at Lululemon is the Reverse-Groove pant that comes in all kinds of nifty colors, my personal fave is the hip-pant, which I think is discontinued at the moment. For us ladies endowed with larger thighs (I am forever indebted to kicking that round little soccer ball) or as they say, have some junk in the trunk (mine's all muscle I swear - lol!), the hip-pant is the most flattering. They balance out bodies that are more bottom heavy. Now, if you are not muscularly endowed, then you will surely do just fine with the Groove pant. I mean, I do fine with the Groove pant, but prefer the other. Their wide-legged pants are ridiculously comfy and the assortment of crops are great too. I rock Lululemon's phenomenal tanks too, which are customized for varying levels of support needed or physicality of the activity you are doing. Since most of what I do is high-impact, or rather things that would make my chest bounce, I go for the medium to high support tanks. Just as there are varying levels of support that run through the tanks and sports bras, there are also varying levels of wicking properties to combat sweat. When working out, I sweat immensely. So immensely, you'd think my body was toxic and my sweat was running for dear life. Truth is, I sweat a lot because I'm perpetually nervous. Oops, I lied again. Sorry. But yeah, the clothes are amazing - functional, cute, colorful, fun, comfortable, flattering and well made. The staff is super knowledgeable about the clothes, any fitness classes within the community and other yoga and sport related things. The staff is comprised of athletes, yogis and dancers so they know their stuff and have a genuine interest in sharing their knowledge. I mean, where else can you be perusing the clothes, have a song by Britney Spears come on, and have one of the staff dancers, decked out in a full Lululemon dance outfit, bust out a full routine to the song in the middle of the store? Or where can you be perusing clothes and the staffer next to you goes into a head stand or scorpion yoga pose? Yeah, only at Lululemon. I got hooked on Lululemon gear while staffed in British Columbia. Although it's mostly yoga-centric, I also use their stuff for cardio because of the moisture wicking. It's better looking than the normal Under-Armor gear, with the same benefits. The prices aren't too bad and the stuff seems to last. Half of this store is dedicated to men's apparel, but I don't think I've ever seen a guy decked out in Lululemon. read more

I didn't want to fall into it but I did. I figure okay, why not buy just one yoga pants. Ohhh no, when I got to Lululemon. I could not resist. I ended up buy 2 pairs of pants. I came back a week later and got their tops too. Now I'm set for a whole week worth of outfits. My girlfriends and I love Lululemon. Wish it was cheaper. I love this airy lofty store with lots of great workout clothes, especially the purple-dotted sales items. It can be a treasure hunt since the sale items tend to be double-digits size. But, when you do find style and size you dig, the sales tag will make you so happy. I remember grabbing a gym bag at $59 instead of 90 bucks! Woot!!! Also, I found this location have a lot more stuff than the both Santa Monica and El Segundo. I have been all three of the stores, since I love this brand so much. The staff here are great, I found out some of them are even Yoga instructors. They do know how to suggest items for you.
