I had a very disappointing experience at WSS with Supervisor Wilbert L. I came to return a pair of shoes that I had only worn once. They were in perfect condition -- no marks, no dirt, no damage at all. I brought the receipt, the box, and everything needed, all within two weeks of purchase. Despite this, Wilbert refused to accept the return, saying it was against their policy. Honestly, this felt completely unfair and unprofessional. If shoes that are practically new cannot be returned, then what's the point of having a return policy? I will think twice before shopping at WSS again. read more

It is very bad. Orders on line can only be returned by customer service and it is HOURS before you get a hold of a person. You cannot fix a trade in by getting different size at an in store. Even after you waste HOURS on the phone, I did not get the return label as stated. This means wasting significant HOURS on the phone to get issued resolved. Ridiculous!! read more

I found 2 pairs of sneakers here on the sale rack. I asked the cashier if these were part of the buy 2 get a discount and he said no. I asked for the senior discount and he said let me check. Service at this location is bottom of the barrel. Went to get work shoes and there were a pair on the clearance rack, but then they charged me full price. When asked about the clearance sticker on the box, the lady went to ask a manager about it who ignored her and the looked up at her and said full price. I bought $150 worth of shoes. One pair ($30) was defective. The shoe literally bruised my feet. I just wanted a return. They would not return or exchange. They even went so far as to say my request was ridiculous because I had worn the shoes (which I had to do to figure out they were defective). The manager was so rude to me. I got a pair of shoes on 02/02/2022 and I told the person helping me that I wanted a comfortable pair of shoes. I bought them and I try them at home but they hurt my feet. I went the next day to try and exchange them and the so call manager said that I wore the sole out...I told this dude I walk around the house and that our floor were been done. I even ask the cashier about returning them the next day and told her about my ankles... she said there was no problem. Never had a problem returning shoes at Macy's. I'm no longer going to buy crap from this establishment and I'm sharing this experience with all the people that knew about my injury and the way you run your business. First time shopper here. Bought some high top chucks for $65. I thought they were the real deal but the little circle metal piece is already coming off. I barely wore these shoes. I purchased on 1/19 and worn them maybe 20 times. If they're real Chuck Taylor's the pieces shouldn't be falling off. They wouldn't do anything for me cause it's passed the 30 day return policy date even though they still look brand new. Don't shop here. It's a fake store selling fake shoes. Terrible customer service. Every time I come in I think they will improve. Unfortunately, every time is another worst experience. They always have limited stock and when you ask someone they just answer "we're sorry we just ran out of them." They only have one cashier open regardless if there is a long line. The long lines are not for shoes but for some apparel or parents/child that need something last minute. Ex. A backpack or socks. Seriously, if this store continues open they need to desperately improve! read more

They have LOADS of athletic shoes and not much of anything else. No one around to help unless it's time to pay. I got my friend and myself some matching trainers because we are ridiculous. Really bad return experience here. Bought a pair of Vans that had the wrong size in the box, mislabeled. It was a size to small. Got home put it on, realized the mistake; thought "no big deal I bought these twenty minutes ago I'll just to swap them." Wrong! The security guard told me I couldn't return them because they were now in used condition and pointed out dust on the bottom of the shoe. Why the security guard is processing the returns, I don't know, but long story short I had to file a chargeback with my credit card and now have a brand new pair of Vans I can't wear. It seems like this would have been better for them if they just swapped the shoes as now they've lost a pair, lost a customer, made no money and I'm going to buy them in the correct size somewhere else. WSS is a "Shoe Warehouse" type of place, that offers you all of the brands, and tons of selection at supposed "discount" prices. The reason I've included quotation marks is that they're still WAY overpriced. But they are less expensive than somewhere else (maybe) The Hollywood store is much like their other locations. It's a fairly decent sized building. They have tons of selection, and everything is laid out for you to pick-and-choose. Their selection is out on the floor, so you don't have to go through a mystical "shoe salesperson" to see if they have it in your size. Well, the reason I'm writing this review is because of Cynthia the manager. I stopped into WSS and found a pair of shoes that I liked. They were still too expensive for what I think I should actually have to pay for them, but they were reasonable. Unfortunately I didn't see them in my size. So, I took the shoes up to the front counter and asked the team member if she could look if any of the other locations had them in my size. After a little merry-go-round of her not understanding my question, she told me that they didn't have the shoes in my size. To which I tried to politely ask if she could check other locations. All the while this was happening Cynthia was busy in the phone at the end of the counter talking to someone else, about a problem that was wholly unrelated to mine. Then, Cynthia swooped in, asked the team member what the problem was, looked in the computer (all while still on the phone with someone else), found out that the North Hollywood location had the shoes in my size, put the person on the phone on hold, called the North Hollywood store, made sure they had the shoes (in the right color), and asked them to hold them for me. All in about five minutes! AMAZING!!! Cynthia earned 5 stars today! read more

Wide selection of up to date products. Organized very well, clean well lit space. Lots of easy off street parking, and employees seemed friendly and helpful. My only reason for not giving a higher rating is that I didn't find the prices to be very low. I shop for shoes and sports apparel on a regular basis and the prices here are in line with most major retailers. I also looked at things like Nike Socks and apparel and found it to be full manufacturers price. I would imagine that the items that are marked down and on sale are a better deal, but this is the same as something being marked down at a regular store. So I just don't see the benefit of shopping here as opposed to going to the mall or your favorite shoe store. Plus, be prepared for them to search your purse or anyhting you bring in here upon exiting. I imagine they must have a problem with theft. They were nice enough about it, but like I said I'd rather just go to the mall and not get a pat down when trying to buy shoes. read more

They really had a lot of good deals on name brand shoes, which seemed too good to be true. I had a bad feeling however I still went against my intuition and bought a few pairs because the price was really cheap. Although they looked good, they hurt my feet horribly after a short distance walking. I gave them to a friend, and they also complained of the shoes hurting their feet as well. read more

While the selection is great and the prices are low, the quality, overall, leaves much to be desired. Most of the shoes you'll find are some of the top brands and styles out there right now, but once on your feet, they end up feeling like the castoffs of the assembly line. I bought some nice-looking Fila's which ended up feeling like they were going to come unglued from the front immediately after putting them on. I suppose they are worth the $35- not including tax- I paid for them, provided they last me a few months, but if you care about your feet, or if you suffer from orthopedic issues, look elsewhere. First impression, very clean and with a nice layout. Everything looks like what you would find at a modern style shoe store. The displays are well lit for the more high end shoes like Nike. The place is clean and well maintained. The shoes range from your high end Nikes to your soccer shoes. We came here looking for cleats for our sons baseball games but unfortunately they don't carry those. The selections are pretty decent for kids the range from $20 and average around the $39 dollar mark. All the shoes are well displayed so you see the many different styles they have available. They do have the boxes below the display so you have to search for your size and style. The only thing I didn't see were people working the floor to help answer any questions or even direct you on where to go. We resulted in asking the security guard if they carried what we were looking for. That's something that should occur especially in a shoe store where customer service is key to your sales. read more
