Horrible experience at Foot Locker located at the 8500 Beverly Blvd at the Beverly Center. They refused to give me a paper receipt unless I gave them my email. When I refused, to give them that information, they refused to sell me the item. Called customer service and they pretty much said not our problem.... Deal with the manager at that location! I must give major kudos to the staff at Beverly Center - Foot Locker store. Today was Jordan 4 Retro Breds release day. If you love shoes, you know that means pandemonium. Despite the large amount of traffic and consumer demand this type of day brings, the staff here was well prepared and organized. They had complete control of the crowd, and effectively executed a sort of wait queue where they took down the customers info, and provided them with a raffle ticket. Customers were able to purchase in order of their ticket number. Despite all this, every member of the staff had a smile on their face and treated you as if you were the only customer. It was very impressive and so much appreciated! Aside from major release date success, I still think this one of the best Foot Locker branches. It's a House of Hoops, so it's a lot larger than most other branches and seems to carry more inventory. read more

Considering this is probably as good as it gets for Foot Lockers in the Los Angeles Area, it's just another reason why we should all just shop online. Unfortunately, shoes are such a "try before you buy" product that we all get a little trapped. Located inside the Bev Center behind the 1st floor elevators (you can't see it, but yet, everyone knows where it is), this Foot Locker is one of the coolest set ups you'll see from the store where referees sell you clothes. The displays are always really nice and the store is really neatly kept. But like gold digging women (and some guys, I guess), as you get to know the store, it might not be exactly what you're looking for. Overall, compared to the ministores in malls around the country, it's still really good. **The Bad** One of my main gripes with this store is that a large majority of the clothes, outside of the snazzy Foot Locker brand clothes, are size XL and above. Now I'm not trying to hate on people that are tall and it makes sense because Foot Locker is a good place for people who like basketball to shop, but a lot of us who play sports are not really "made" to play sports, but we play them anyways. Sometimes, we need medium shirts and some of us...need small shorts that we've partially earned after a long battle with our waistlines (that's what she said). So that's a bit of a bummer. Again, I'm not the demo for this anymore, though I was at one time, but I feel like this Foot Locker has such a hard lean towards "urban fashion" that it doesn't have a lot of the basics that you'd be looking for in a sporting goods store. Not a lot of basics like regular Dri-Fit shirts or shorts that don't go to your ankles - most everything here is for people who want to look like they ball on the streets, or Asians that like to get all spatted up before church basketball tournaments (truth!). There are a lot of bright colors and gaudy logos, but I suppose we have The Sports Authority and Eastbay for the boring stuff. And the last time I came here, the person forgot to take the exploding ink beeper off my hat. It didn't explode, nor did it beep anywhere, but it stopped me from wearing it out and attracting tons of ladies. That is the only reason why I am single. **The Good** The people that work here are generally really solid. The shoe guys especially will really do work to try and find you something that you're comfortable with. I've seen people try on like 10 pairs of shoes, then only buy one, and the guy will still hustle. I know that they're on commission, but they will really work to help you out. I went to go buy a pair of shoes here the other day and one of them was missing, and wasn't on display anywhere - the guy searched high and low in the back of the store and found this one lonely shoe and here I am, wearing them as I write this review. They can answer questions, know the products and they are all pretty cool and funny guys. They have a lot of hats here! If Lids has somehow wronged you, this Foot Locker has a lot of hats! They don't have EVERYTHING, but they have most of the major baseball teams that are popular with the kids these days. They also have a lot of jerseys, kids shoes, and girls shoes - much more than you'll find at most Foot Lockers. And it's really clean. Rarely, rarely do you find displays all messed up or shoes out of place. They work hard in here and it shows. It's the best Foot Locker in the Los Angeles area and if you wear big sizes and are still down with wearing clothes from the streets, it's great! For the rest of us, they have a huge selection of shoes and the staff is great, but you might end up ordering a lot of stuff from Eastbay. read more

The staff is always great and friendly, and they always have the latest and greatest styles when it comes to shoes, socks, and shorts. Being that I'm a fan of Air Force 1's (AF1), basketball shorts, baseball caps and warm-ups, Foot Locker seems a legitimate choice for many of my shopping needs. Problem is, most Foot Lockers don't have much of a selection. They usually have one fit from three years ago in XXXL and XXXXL and an extra small nylon jacket that's too old to be cool but not old enough to be retro. Well, this Foot Locker isn't like that for the most part. It's three times the size of any Foot Locker I've been to and they actually have a couple of mediums. Granted, it's still mostly XXL and up. But they have some tight limited edition gear and sneakers. I got me some of the Nylon dunks the other day. The reason this is a good store is probably because it's in the Beverly Center. As such, people are spending more and the store can afford to have a larger inventory. But the people that work there, while very nice, are not very helpful. When I asked if they had medium B-Ball shorts, they said no. When I asked when they would get more, they said weekly. So I asked what day and they said every day. All of that aside, I got some tight shoes and some pretty cool warm-ups. As far as basketball shoe selection, I haven't found a better place other than Sportie LA...but come on, that's Sportie LA! Great looking store, varied service STORE: This is the only House of Hoops that I've been to that actually looks like it was made to be a HoH from the beginning. The store is large and the availability of items is a little better than other stores. Often, Nike will come by and set up a beautiful display in the middles of the floor. For the more popular or limited release shoes however, good luck. While this store may receive a larger shipment than most other stores, they are doing something screwy because I have consistently lost in their "sweepstakes" MUCH more often than at some other locations. I had come here on a mission! I went to LA for business, and was asked to make a pit stop at the Beverly Center to visit the House of Hoops. I had spent 5 hours in the mall, shopping for myself, and when I was about to give up finding Footlocker, I had found it hidden behind the escalators. With so much joy, I ran inside and took pictures of everything! I sent the pictures to a friend, and awaited on his shopping list. After receiving his list, I grabbed a shoe and looked high and low for someone to help me out. I swear, it was about 5 minutes when I spotted someone. I had said, "Excuse me?" He looked at me and then walked away. I was PISSED!! I went to find another person, I had seen a guy who was stalking socks and asked him if he could help me, and he replied, "I'm sorry, but I'm working on stock today. Just ask anyone in the ref. shirts" By then it had been nearly 15 minutes before I found someone to grab a damn shoe for me. When the guy went to grab the shoe for me, I was looking at HOUSE OF HOOPS LA shirts, and had asked one of the girls if those were the only sizes that they had. She said that whatever they had out was all they had. She asked me what size I was looking for, and tried looking for it, she even checked the display to see if was a size I needed. Unfortunately, it wasn't. But I ended up getting the shirt, just not in the color I wanted. When they man had returned with the shoe I wanted, he tried really hard to sell me shoe cleaner. I had told him that the shoe wasn't for me, but for a friend, who was an avid shoe collector. He again, pushed for me to buy it and said, "does he have this? you should buy this. it does this and this yada yada....." and I said, he already had one. Then he said, "oh, well you can buy him another one in case he runs out." I said, "No. I don't need it. Thank you" in a harsh tone so he'd get the idea. Finally, he said he'd drop my items off at the register while I look around more. Aside from waiting 15 mintues for someone to help me with a shoe, there was actually one person nice enough to help me with a shirt. I went to a champs near me and they informed me that this footlocker had the Jordan 1 mid craft I was looking for in my size. I drive 30 minutes over there and I walk in to the footlocker. I asked this worker who was standing next to me doing nothing if they had the shoe I was looking for. He looked at the picture I showed him and said "no", didn't even bother to check. I looked around the store for a bit and saw the cashier looked like he actually liked his job and asked him. He searched on his computer and turns out they had a bunch of that shoe in my size in the back, it wasn't on display so that's why it was harder to find. At least I got the pair I wanted but the first worker was no help and I was almost about to leave. Shoutout to the worker who actually cared about his job. They need to stop hiring unenthusiastic employees who are only there to hoard shoes for their friends and for discounts on shoes. 3 stars for the excellent worker who found what I was looking for. read more

I went in the store in Yonkers New York to order a jacket. The manager said he had it so I can order it. Funny thing is he never even asked me for my name for the order. I had to call customer service days later to figure out where my package was. I was never notified it was canceled I had to call to find out. Man, I would love to rate this place high, but THEY NEVER HAVE MY SIZE!! Of course, I would only go to House of Hoops to get some limited edition stuff, but I always leave this place without anything in hand. Now, if I'm able to score some Yeezy's from this place, I will love it forever......really. It will be the only place I buy shoes, if I'm able to get some Yeezy's in my size, but since I'm not too convinced I'll get 'em there, I feel really confident making that statement. The shop has a really nice layout and it kinda seems like you can get any shoe you want in that place (even though I haven't been able to get a pair yet), so kudos for the layout and selection. Amazing! Bought two pairs of sneakers (same style, different colors) from here last week. They were super helpful in the initial sale (I'm sorry but I forget the saleswoman's name...she was awesome though!). Then, after wearing one pair around my apt for a day, I realized I needed a half size bigger. But I had thrown away the boxes. Well, these guys are awesome! Brittany helped me and was super friendly and cooperative. I didn't have my receipt so she pulled up the transaction from the system and was able to assist me in getting me the half size bigger. Although it has its (minor) faults, I still give it 5 stars because it's the only House of Hoops we have in this area. And it IS great! I love this store! As a sneaker collector, I can honestly say that House of Hoops carries all of the most anticipated releases of kicks. Watch out though, if it's a limited pair, it'll be gone within a couple of hours of availability... there's a lot of sneakerheads in Los Angeles. It's a big store, all walls and shelves are filled with different kinds of shoes for every sport. I go here for the Air Jordans and the Nike Zoom Kobe shoes. They also carry athletic apparel from a lot of different brands. They have a wide selection for kids' shoes too. The people are cool, but I don't like it when people try to sell me shoe care products when I ask for a shoe that I'm looking for by name. When someone knows about sneakers, it's safe to assume they already have shoe care products and will ask you themselves if they need some. The only fault the store management has only affects the people who wait in line for a shoe to be released. I don't see why the store doesn't open at the agreed upon time when they already have the shoes in stock. Wait time from said time of opening will be at least an hour. But hey, if I want the shoes, I will wait. read more

One of the worst footlockers. They are really bad at releases. FCFS was a joke. They really need a better team in handling, especially the management because they don't know what they are doing. They tell people lies about when to get the shoes. They must allow backdooring because they wouldn't give the shoes to FCFS on release day, saying that they don't have it when they didn't open yet. read more

I walk past two employees that only acknowledged me by stopping their conversation long enough to quietly look at me. Best Foot Locker in the LA area - helps when its a House of Hoops and one of the biggest that I have been to. Sometimes you see famous athletes shopping as well, once I saw Cotto getting new kicks with his son. Nice guy. Anyways, the raffle they hold for limited releases is legit, and very fair. They also tend to get more inventory for limited editions (jordans) so check this place before going to a regular Foot Locker. Plus you can clean your kicks while you wait since they demo shoe cleaning supplies at every seating area. Another plus. All the staff is very friendly and helpful too. read more

Employees aren't focused on customers. There was only one employee in the guys shoes section, and she was not attentive. Then I waited in line with 8 people in front of me, and only 1 of 3 employees hanging out at the registers was open helping us. Nobody is managing the staff. I love the House of Hoops in the Bev Center. Located right in the middle of the Foot Locker, the HOH carries many limited edition kicks that you won't find anywhere else. As many said, limited shops get sold quick so if you know that special pair is coming out soon at HOH, you better get there early. The staffs there are great. Super friend and they don't mind shooting the shit with you and ask you what other shoes you have in your collection. Beside shoes, they carry sportswears and other gears. I had to knock off 2 for the customer service. Store: Clean, stocked and stays looking fresh and always updated. What more can you ask for when shopping for kicks....the clothing seems to go pretty quick which sucks but ehhh. Employees: My first visit was alright, although there were a lot of employees on the floor I was only greeted by one and that one was the only one to offer help. I got my kicks and bounced, it seemed cold not that friendly so I was out as quick as possible. I normally take my time but the vibe just wasn't all that welcoming. My second visit was the worse. As soon as I walk in I zoom to the Grade Schools and was greeted by this Latina (11.11.13), super nice at first and I try on the shoe that was on display (6.5) I put it on and it fit big and I let her know and asked her to check if if was in fact too large (I was wearing socks meant for flats) she looked at the shoe looked at me and her facial expression said it all. I was done. I then asked my friend to do me a solid and check the toe gap at the tip of the shoe, as we were talking about my previous visit and the size I purchased....the Employee exclaims "Damn you wear a size 9 in womens", I was BEET RED. Like WTF, I then explained to her that it depends on the shoe and she just chuckles. I was so embarrassed. I asked her for a 6, I look around as I wait for her and bam she brings out a box....they're a 6.5 -.- I let her know that I asked for a 6, she says "yeah I know but we don't have a 6so I brought these" I then told her "I have already tried on the 6.5, that is the size on display" (which she should know because I let her know that I was wearing a 6.5 before I asked for a 6) and I started looking for another employee to help me. I ended up getting a lot of love from this other female employee and walked out with 2 pairs of Jordans. Her service was whack, I will go again of course I mean come on we're talking shoes here but if she's the only one working the floor then my ass is coming back another day. Amazing selection of running and basketball shoes. Also the flashiest variety of elite socks I've seen. The only problem when I went was that they were out of my size, 10.5, for a lot of the shoes that I was looking at. I get that it's a very popular size but I don't like it when retail store is out of stock on the same size for a lot of different models... it gets me thinking like, "come on, get your logistics right!" I don't like driving all the way to the mall just to hear that my size is not available for many of the shoe models, especially when the employees can't tell me when the next shipment will arrive so I know when to come back. I came in on a Friday afternoon with my friend. It was a busy day. But they had enough staff. I was trying those shoes on the display that fits me, and I asked one of their staff to find the size of the specific shoes that I showed her. When she left, Few minutes later, I asked another staff for another pair of shoes, I asked here for the size that I have, and she said she will come back. Actually those staff that I interact with said that they will come back. I was in the same place where I asked for those two pairs of shoes, so they won't have to look for me around the store. An hour later and after my friend bought a pair of shoes for herself, none of those staff that I asked for the shoes come back. And they saw me multiple times and they didn't even remember those shoes, they didn't even come up to me and say to wait or even just say they don't have the size that I want. Honestly this is unacceptable. I waited for an hour for those shoes and they never showed up. And, it wasn't that busy after all. Short-term memory problem? I guess the staff have that problem. Sorry. They just lost another customer who wouldn't mind spending more money on shoes. read more

1st HoH in Cali....but not the best. Service is good, just like the one in Daly City (NorCal), but they don't have the displays like they do in NorCal. This is just a semi-enclosed area inside Bev Center's Footlocker. They have more square footage, and they do carry a lot of "exclusive" stuff, but it just isn't as cool..... minus 2 stars. Don't get me wrong, if you're in LA, or even in Bev Center, you should check it out. But if and when you're in NorCal, check out that HoH, and you'll see the difference.... read more

I took my stepson to go find some basketball shoes on Wilshire. I saw a couple of places to stop at. Unfortunately for this stores I could not visit because of either no parking or a broken meter of just could not get to it from where we were at. So we just kept going on Wilshire. So I decided to just go to the Beverly Center. Well you still have to pay for parking but once we were in the parking just skipped my mind. And we ended up at the foot locker. We looked around and the prices are comprehable to those at the Santa Anita Wesfield or the West Covina Westfield. So I wasn't concerned that being in a Mall that caters to the higher class cliental, we saw some teenagers in the food court wearing diamond studded watches. We were being helped by Elena, not only was she showing us some shoes but she was describing the differences between them. I proceeded to explain to her that my stepson has sprained his ankle I few times with the shoes he has now. So she also took that into consideration and suggested some shoes just to prevent major sprains. She was very good at was she was doing and I was very impressed. Usually at a shoe store just show you shoes and let you be. Not her though she was very precise and knowledgable, she even showed us another way to tie the shoes to reinforce the ankle. I ordered a pair of Nike air max 95 color Purple for my Grand daughter who lives 100 miles away, this was for her birthday. Footlocker sent the wrong color (red bronze & white). I called and they said the usual (I'm sorry and will make it right) but it will take 5 to 6 days (OK) this was on 12 /11/19 , called today 12/16/19 to check on the order because we are meeting our granddaughter 12/19/19. OOPs we didn't place the replacement order! I will do it now but it will take another 5 to 6 to get them!! Really? can Footlocker expedite the order? I asked. No they wont do that even though it was there mistake! I explained to them that the packing list was correct and they even had picture of the right shoe but footlocker put the wrong shoe in the box. so I had to cancel the order and now I have to go to the mall and fight with crowds. This store just has an amazing collection of sneakers. I actually think it has more Nike's than the Nike store itself. Service is great. Well-organized too. When you pick out a shoe they have your size most of the time! However, prepare yourself for a lame insole speech they will push on you. I think the employees are just pushing this a bit too hard. Also, their prices are almost always full retail, so don't expect any sort of deal. So take a away a star for the insoles and the prices. Overall though, if you need a pair of nice shoes you will find something you like here!! read more
