I had a great experience here buying new running shoes. Staff are very knowledgeable, starting with the professional-grade foot scan. I felt well taken care of, and was surprised that prices were lower than I expected would be in Brentwood. Free valet parking. read more

Frontrunners - Women's shoes - Shoe Stores Near Me - Los Angeles, California

I went to this store to buy running shoes. I'm a seasoned runner with 2 finished marathons. The salesperson sold me asics super blast shoes. I dig them at first but developed swelling in my knee after a routine run. I thought it might've been a one off and need to break the shoes in some more however, the knee pain persisted. I wanted to support local businesses but was very disappointed by my experience. I'll go back to my usual store moving forward read more

I'm giving a 5 star review because of the excellent service that I received today from Chad. I had ordered a pair of UGGS online and got a confirmation e-mail that said Frontrunners would let me know when my order was ready to pick up. (Note: these UGGS were sold out everywhere!). I ordered last night but did not get a ready-for-pick-up email. I was in Brentwood, so I thought I'd stop by just in case the order was ready. As it turns out, Frontrunner was not able to fulfill my order as they had very low inventory (no surprise for these boots). Chad, however, found the boots for me and I went happily on my way. Shoes are competitively priced and I will definitely return. Also free parking with a validation for 30 minutes. read more

I had such a wonderful, personalized sneaker shopping experience at Frontrunners. Honestly, I could even go as far as saying Frontrunners changed my life for the better. I've always wanted to get more into running, but I always found myself getting limited by some aching in my knees or back and not necessarily my cardio strength. When I learned Frontrunners does feet diagnostic tests and matches you with specific shoes based on your feet, I wanted to drop by. They had me stand on their monitor device, and in a minute, my store associate knew exactly which 3 pairs of running shoes were the best for my feet and guessed their ranking in comfort (color/aesthetic was not part of the consideration, which turns out was exactly what I needed to do). I was quite stunned when after trying each of the 3 pairs, the ranking of comfort was exactly what she predicted! I got the top choice she recommended, and it's been amazing for me to able to run multiple miles a week without issue, with the only change in my life being the running shoes matched to my feet. Every dollar was well spent on my purchase there. I highly recommend coming to Frontrunners! read more

Misleading on shoe prices. Priced tag $125 and at the time to pay 175 plus taxes. Manager just offered a 10% off for the tag mistake when I tried to buy 2 pair of shoes. I just thought it wasn't enough. But what was enough for me to leave was the attitude of the little guy when I suggested maybe a 15%-20% will make the difference to me for the mistake read more

I had such a great experience at FrontRunners thanks to Sam. He greeted me right when I walked in and was immediately friendly and easy to talk to. I told him I was looking for the same ASICS I was wearing (mine are a couple of years old), and without hesitation he said they had the updated version and knew exactly which model I had. I was so impressed that just for fun I asked if he could guess my shoe size... and he got it right! Sam is incredibly knowledgeable, super friendly, and just an all-around great guy. It's rare to find someone who really knows their stuff and makes the experience feel easy and enjoyable. Definitely ask for him if you go in. read more

Dave provided excellent customer service. Help me choose the correct shoe for me. Dave was patient and knowledgeable. The value and pricing is competitive. Recommend asking for Dave when shopping at FrontRunners in Brentwood. read more

We were greeted with positivity and enthusiasm the second we walked through the door and then were promptly paired with Dave. Dave made this whole process so smooth and efficient, and he was so wonderful to work with! He first examined the slip my podiatrist gave me to see what issues we were working with, and then he had me stand on a machine which scanned my feet. Once the scan was finished, he informed me that my arches were quite low, so he had me try on a couple of different inserts for arch supports. After making sure I had proper arch supports, he helped to find me the shoe that would give me the most support for my plantar fasciitis and low arches. I was nervous going into the store thinking that I would just be upsold left and right, but I felt so incredibly informed the entire time and confident with my purchases. That's all thanks to Dave! read more

I took a dear friend to buy a new pair of shoes for his birthday, and we were fortunate to be greeted by Paige as we walked inside. She was not only incredibly knowledgeable about finding the perfect shoe, but she was also very intuitive in recognizing that he had balance issues so she took great care in ensuring he was safe as he walked in the shoes to ensure a good fit. She even joined me in making him laugh to make the entire experience so joyful. We are both so grateful for Paige's kindness. And he loves his shoes! read more

I realized I developed a case of metatarsal pain. I knew that a shoe insert that padded the ball of the foot could help. I thought about seeing a podiatrist for a custom insert. That would take weeks. Frontrunners had two great salesmen who recommended one pair for my running shoes and a different pair for my dress shoes. Problem solved, my pain is 90% gone in a week's time. I'm impressed!! read more

We just purchased shoes from Dave at Front Runners. He was very respectful. He noticed me right away and took care of my needs. My wife had been looking for help and been waiting a bit. I told her you gotta talk to Dave he knows his stuff so she worked with him and ended up getting a pair of shoes also. Whats neat about Dave? He's been there for many years. He knows his product. He gave us a great assessment. And I would come back to work with him in a minute. Thanks, Dave! Carl and Amy. read more

The past 10 years, I've relied on my local New Balance store to custom fit my orthotics. I've been to multiple podiatrists and have had the most painful orthotics "custom made"...(I literally stopped at mile 10 of a half marathon to rip out the worst orthotics because they were hurting me more than helping). The ones I got from my New Balance store were the only ones that worked and didn't kill my feet Fast forward to a few weeks ago...I walked into my NB store and the custom fitting machine was GONE!! Talk about panic!! The kind associate referred me over to FrontRunners (which by the way, is a 45min drive!) saying that they have the same machine. So off I went! Adam was extremely helpful in sizing me for new orthotic inserts. I got measured on Wednesday and received them in the mail by Saturday. Before I left the store, he promised he would make sure they fit in the exact same shoe that I have, which I really appreciated! Very pleased with my experience and I HIGHLY recommend their customized inserts...they are firm, but have enough give to not kill your arches. read more

Laura is amazing!!! On two different visits in the past year she has helped me find the perfect shoes for my 10K, Half Marathon, and Marathon! She closely listens, asks questions, and has an incredible amount of knowledge when it comes to shoes, different types of feet, and various training needs for shoes, equipment, etc. Today I was there for over an hour trying on different shoes and she checked in on me every step of the way - I felt so comfortable and cared for, and I never felt rushed. I am grateful for such a personal touch to my experience. I will be coming back to this Frontrunners location, for sure! They also have workout clothes, running gels/waffles, and lots of other running needs - it's a one stop shop! read more

Astonishing experience! Laura is a marvel -- she reads the output of the machine that measures feet with incredible understanding of each aspect of the information and uses her knowledge to find the perfect trainers for my particular feet and needs. I waited too long to get new trainers because I knew I needed a lot of guidance and with so many options, it felt intimidating. But Laura made it all so easy! She went above and beyond any expectations I may have had, expertly suggesting a variety of brands and styles that would fit my needs. I cannot recommend her or Frontrunners sufficiently highly! Her knowledge, articulateness in communicating it, and ability to fit my needs with the great number of options made this entire process simple and easy. Shout out to Laura and to Frontrunners for todays' wonderful experience! read more

The low reviews weren't lying when they said the customer service here is horrendous. I came mid afternoon and waited 20 minutes to be helped. They did acknowledge my presence but I ended up being tossed SA to SA with no one to actually take care of me. The customers who ended up showing up after me were taken care of before me. I wasn't happy with the service and just left. If you're a non-white customer, just skip this place and head to Road Runners. Their customer service is unmatched compared to Frontrunners. read more

Went to store for the first time yesterday - it was shockingly busy for a holiday and the store also didn't have a lot of styles in my size available - so the good was customer service and analyzing my feet- I learned some things about my feet that were invaluable. Unfortunately they allow dogs in the store - and I'm talking about large standard poodle and golden retriever type dogs. I'm highly allergic to dogs and ended having an allergic reaction while I was sitting there - and yes hypoallergenic dogs cause chaos to those who are truly allergic and I'm still dealing with the consequences of that encounter. The dogs were in the shoe fitting area and walking all along the shoes on display. I did end up with a new pair of shoes I'm happy with but ultimately will likely pass on this store in the future if they continue to allow dogs to roam free like a dog park in there. read more

Walked in needing walking/workout shoes and insoles; walked out without them. Sales person didn't seem particularly interested in explaining the shoes to me, or in getting me shoes to try on beyond the first two pairs, or in ensuring a good fit, even before another customer came in and took all of her attention away. I waited 15 minutes and called it quits. Seriously short staffed to the point I had to figure out how to validate my own parking. Now shopping for shoes and a new shoe store. A shame because the selection seemed great. read more

The customer service rep was unkind and when I tried to speak with her, I felt very unwelcome. If I hadn't driven across town and paid to park, I would have left. read more

Really poor customer service. Took legitimately 15 minutes to be helped and the sales associate didn't seem to care about making sure my shoes were a good fit, and wasn't able to give any clear answer to any questions I had. Really poor overall, would highly recommend going to any other store. read more

I just had the most amazing experience buying shoes that I've had in my life. Each of my feet has been diagnosed with a different medical condition and I wear orthotics. Thanks to Laura, I found the perfect shoes. More comfortable than I have had in years. She is shoe guru with an extraordinary understanding of feet and an encyclopedic knowledge of shoes. She listened and understood my needs and picked out two shoes for me to try, one of which was perfect. I will never go anyplace else. I cannot recommend her highly enough. read more

The service is minimal, more expensive than other stores &I'm not interested because they don't carry Brooks shoes.

I have been buying running shoes here for over 20 years. The customer service is outstanding and nothing you can find at major retailers or mall. Their selection is also top of the line and they measure your feet with a fancy machine. I drive 30 minutes to get a new pair of shoes every 6 months. read more

First time ever at this store and thankfully Chago helped my mother and I out. He scanned our feet to make sure he knew our sizes and explained what sizing would be best for the type of shoes our doctor wanted us to get. Chago was knowledgeable, informative and most of all patient. He brought out different colors and styles which was awesome because I'm kinda picky but I had options. Overall, thankful to Chago who helped me out and provided us with excellent customer service. If you happen to go to this store definitely ask for Chago, he's the man :) read more

Everyone here is always so helpful I came in and needed a fair amount of help finding the right shoe. The manager answered all of my questions and brought out about 4-5styles. He was really patient and the shoes he helped me pick out are probably my favorite pair I've ever owned. Great selection. Great service! read more

I was in and out in less than 10 minutes. Paige was incredibly nice and informative. She had me stand on this white box which calibrates everything from the size of each foot, the width, where my balance placement was at. It was kind of creepy how accurate that machine was and it pulls up an entire diagram of your feet. She goes back and gets 3 boxes and I try each one on. They all fit perfectly but one pair just felt a little better than the rest. Tried them on and ran a little bit around in them and I knew these shoes were it. Easy and smooth! No speed bumps in the entire sales process. read more

This is a fantastic store to find a good fitting pair of sneakers. Extremely knoweledgeable staff with a machine that can properly measure your feet. They also have a great selection of quality insoles and can advise you which type will work best for your needs. Also - incredible selection of socks. Beats shopping online for footwear 1000 times over. They have a loyalty program - $50 dollars off when you've spent $500. 2nd location in Torrance. Bought a pair of running shoes at the Front Runners store in Brentwood. Incredibly disappointing. I purchased running shoes here, Asics at the recommendation of the salesperson, and after 30 days one of the shoes had a hole in the top near the pinky toe. When I returned to the store to show them I was told to contact Asics directly and that they would handle it. I reached out to Asics twice and never heard back, after about another 30 days the other shoe developed the same hole in the same place near the pinky toe on top. I returned again and was told it was too late for any refund or exchange. He offered to look at my feet again and make a different suggestion for a shoe, however I would need to pay full price for any new shoes that I bought. I won't be spending my money here again given they don't stand behind their products or recommendation. read more

The BEST shoe purchase experience I've had! Started with the convenient location and parking off San Vicente Blvd. in Brentwood, through product variety and availability, finally ease of purchase. Most of all, my outstanding shoe purchase experience was, in the end, the result of Chago, my purchase assistant and resource extraordinaire! THE BEST IN THE BUSINESS! I ventured to Front Runners while on a recent business trip to Los Angeles, in desperate need of new walking/jogging shoes. I am, at 64, in decent condition and move 20-25 miles a week. Hoka brand shoes were suggested to me by my daughter, a suggestion endorsed by Chago, who after a only a few moments interaction, I could tell knew his stuff! (Turns out he has worked at this location for over 2 years and knows product and availability like the back of his hand. His understanding, listening skills and knowledge in all things walking-jogging-running are ery impressive!) Now the good part. After a brief explanation of what I needed and a quick, high tech measurement of my feet, Chago returned with two style selections, and I was in and out of the store with complete satisfaction knowing these new shoes were the best my feet would ever encounter! (They are like walking on a cloud! I've never had a pair of shoes that compel me to walk; these do!) As a bonus, though this store is high-end, I never felt pressured with any upsale vibes. Chago is as authentic as they come and I felt like I got great value for what I bought (later confirmed with an online comparison search after the fact). This experience was so good, I returned 2 days later with my daughter, who purchased her own shoes and inserts from Chago, later confirming the experience was just as good if not better than I had promised. Do yourself a huge favor: if your live or are in the Westside Los Angeles area and in need of athletic shoes, go to Front Runners, ask for Chago and enjoy the run! read more

Horrible service I drove for an hour to get to this place because my doctor sent me here to get special shoes for my insoles but when I got there, I had to wait outside on the sun until someone eventually came to see me. The guy who eventually appeared was very rude and told me that I only had 4 minutes to buy because they close from 2 to 3! I was going to buy 7 pairs of shoes, that's more than $1,500 that I will spend somewhere else! I should have read their reviews before coming here. No wonder why so many people complains! STAY AWAY! read more
