Was having a girls night out last night and haven't been to Luke's in a long time so decided to stop by and have a drink and snacks at the bar with friends.... We were completely ignored when sitting down and we waited a long time before anyone took our order. Even after we got our drinks neither bartender checked in if we wanted food or another drink when our glasses were empty... they had their backs to us most of the time... in the end we had to ask the bar back for our checks.... And we sat waiting for someone to take our cards. So again We had to ask the bar back to close us out. I work in customer service and I understand you get busy but the bar wasn't full and there were two bartenders working... won't be going back anytime soon. It's sad because it is a prime location and could be so much better. read more

Great food and atmosphere. I recommend you check out the delicious menu so much to choose from. I'll be back

We came here during our company outing. It didn't disappoint. I'm not usually a burger person but their special burger is amazingly delicious! Everything they serve is freshly made from scratch! I love the decor and the outside balcony fireplace. Service was on point! read more

The food was so amazing! The steak had blue cheese on top and the pasta had scallops and shrimp. This place was popping with people they said our table was an hour wait so we went to the bar and got served right away. We had two drinks which were so refreshing. The balcony view was super beautiful as well. You had to wait for an elevator to get into the restaurant and sometimes there would be a line of people waiting for it. We went down the stairs which was way faster and not that long of a walk. This place was perfect and delicious definitely going to go for bottomless mimosa next time. read more

The food was absolutely delicious--fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The atmosphere was just right: cozy, stylish, and full of good energy. Service was friendly, Derek makes good drinks. Also the owner Kelly down to earth! One of the best dining experiences I've had in a while. Highly recommend! read more

The atmosphere of Luke's on Front is very captivating! It was the perfect setting my sis-in-law's bachelorette dinner. The food was phenomenal, even their French Fries appetizer! But the dinner entrees are what shined -- I had the BLT Scallops Salad which was perfectly cooked and tasteful, my sis in law had the filet manon which was super flavorful, and everything from the cut of meat to the carrots were perfectly cooked. The service was above par as well, and our server (I forget our server's name I'm sorry) made my sister's bachelorette dinner very special, and remained attentive and engaged with our party throughout the night. read more

We had a party of 10 - everyone's food was excellent from appetizers - Brussels sprouts and ceviche, to sandwiches, burgers and salad. Crème brûlée and chocolate cake for dessert was delicious. Timely and friendly service by Brittany who did a great job taking care of our large party. Always love this place and especially the patio eating. read more

Came here for my birthday and was excited to try this place. They have a good location with a great roof top view. I wanted to sit outside but it was a cold night so we decide to sit inside. On a Monday night it was kind of loud since it was Monday night football. Keep that in mind if you are on a date and want to hear each other talk. Our server was nice, helpful, and checked on us many times. For the drinks they honestly weren't that great. And the food, I enjoyed the scallop BLT, the salad dressing was good. The brussel sprouts had a good flavor but it was super duper sticky, like the bacon was so hard to chew and was getting stuck to my teeth. I wished the brussel sprouts were more crispy. But the menu needs to be updated correctly for the gluten free recommendations. I saw past reviews saying that people with celiac came here and tried their calamari and didn't get sick. They were lucky! I clarified with the waitress and she said that the oil is crossed contaminated with gluten items that get deep fried! Scaryyy for someone like me who gets very sick. So anything with a GF - beware and double check! If it's deep fried it's probably not safe. I hope they make that adjustment because my husband brought me here thinking I had lots of options based off their online menu. read more

We have given this restaurant multiple chances over the years to win us over, because the location is so amazing. But every time something goes wrong. We were there two nights ago and my husband's order was great (he ordered a $22 sandwich plate). I, however ordered the seafood pasta (a $49 plate). I realized after eating some of it, that there was no crab. After two times talking to the chef, the server just claimed "he said it's in there. It's just mixed in." A flat out lie. Well, we again told him there was absolutely no crab in there, and he just stood by what the chef had said. They did not attempt to make good on it at all. So, sadly, we are done trying, and are not going to visit Luke's again. read more

Spent some time in Old Temecula this weekend. Was walking Front Street and saw something new; Luke's on Front at the top of a building. I was with a girlfriend and we were looking for a place to have dinner and celebrate her birthday. We decided to go up and check it out. At first we were a little unimpressed. We had it in our heads that if it was up on the top floor then it must be a high end steak house (you know, cloth napkins, candles, piano player in the corner). But it was more like just a bar. We checked out the menu and saw mostly bar food (burgers, fried stuff, etc.) One the last page, there were three steak dishes and three seafood dishes. We decided we'd have a drink and an appetizer then keep walking around. I ordered a dirty martini, my gal pal ordered a Bad Mom Bellini (she was feeling guilty for leaving her son with a sitter), and we order the beer battered jalapeño poppers. OMG!! First, the dirty martini was the best I'd ever tasted! Just the perfect ratio of vodka to olive juice. The poppers were perfectly fried. My friend said if they can get the poppers right, the other food must be good. We stayed. We both ordered the filet mignon with garlic mashed potatoes and carrots. AWESOME!! I used the last piece of meat to sop up everything left on the plate. Best steak I had in quite a while (Well, since Mother's Day when I had a great steak). The service was spectacular. I think our waitress's name was Karen or Karina (definitely a "k" name). She comped us a Creme Brule with a birthday sparkler on top. Excellent dinner. Will go again and I highly recommend! read more

It's a Saturday at 12:30! In my opinion that's prime lunchtime. Having 1 bartender for a whole restaurant with NO servers, but 2 hostesses is completely silly. There were over 30 people, in the restaurant. The GM and or Owners need to be aware of this. Please do better Luke's! Unacceptable in my opinion! read more

We hosted our company dinner at Luke's in their private room for a group of 40 adults. We LOVED, LOVED, LOVED the following: 1. Room set-up was absolutely clean and beautiful. They also thoughtfully displayed our company logo on the projector and printed out customized paper menus for each person. 2. The food was AMAZING. We ordered the Robins Nest Chicken, Seafood Pasta, Finn's Filet Trio, Salmon, and Stuffed Portobello mushroom as well as the Chef's VIP app platter. They were able to accommodate our dietary restrictions (gluten-free, veggie, and vegan) with ease. 3. We had private access to the fire pit on the balcony and the private dining room is neatly sealed off from the rest of the restaurant so there really is no interaction from guests not part of our event. 4. Communication with Kelly was easy breezy once we were able to get a hold of her (it was a little touch-and-go at the initial inquiry - see below for more on that). 5. There is no room rental fee or a pre-set menu as many other establishments often require for private parties. It was easy to customize the drink and menu options to our preferences. 6. We requested the private room until 9:30P that night, but some of our guests lingered until 10-10:30P. Kelly and her staff were great at letting us hang out a bit longer and didn't rush us out. Everyone was nice and attentive all evening. 7. The built-in A/V system is free of charge and perfect for running a slideshow or presentation for your private event. Below are a few items that could have run smoother: 1. I initially inquired about hosting the private event here via their website. I sent two electronic requests AND called into the restaurant over a two week period of time until I was able to get a response. Totally get that they run a busy restaurant and maybe the delayed response was a fluke this time, but nonetheless, waiting two weeks for an initial response from the Luke's team was a bit long. I started to look at other venue options because of the initial delay. 2. While I understand wanting to preserve food quality by only making-to-order, for a large party, I think taking orders ahead of time would be more time efficient. Our group arrived at 6P and dinner was not served until 8P. We appreciated Kelly running through each of our selected menu items and giving more detail on how things are prepared or sourced that night, but I think this information could have been provided in writing so we can then disseminate it to our own team ahead of time. If the Luke's team knew, for example, that there would be 13 chickens, 15 filets, and 4 pastas ahead of time, they could just time the orders to come out on time. People mingled and drank so it wasn't a big deal to most people, but I know my bosses got a little antsy wondering what was taking so long. All in all, don't hesitate to book your private event here. Despite the two hiccups I noted, if my company is in town again, we would definitely come back to Luke's! read more

Luke's is a beautiful restaurant with fourth floor views of Old Town Temecula. At night when fire places are lit, the ambience is especially nice. Today the nonprofit organization where I volunteer reserved the private room for our board meeting. The room is lovely, with access to the outdoor patio where there is seating and a fire place and more great views of Old Town. The room easily accommodated 29 of us, with room to seat more. And best of all, Luke's provided the private room to us for free! Thank you Luke's! We had one server, along with help that brought out our food, and they did an excellent job! Service was quick, food came out quickly, and they accommodated separate checks for all of us. Unfortunately, the food was lackluster. The chicken in my chipotle chicken wrap was dry and tasteless. Others also mentioned dry chicken in the salad. The truffle Parmesan fries were pretty good. One of the reasons we don't return to Luke's is because the food is just not that great. If I do return again, it will be for a cocktail in the evening, sitting on the patio by a fire and enjoying the view of Old Town. read more

My bf and I hardly write reviews, let alone leave two reviews for the same place. However this place deserves it. We were very impressed and the food was amazing. We killed two appetizers and two entrees. My lobster pasta was to die for and my bfs chicken was also heavenly. Matt and Kate were the dynamic duo of the century when it comes to exceptional service. The owner, Kelly, and the staff have always been great! The food is exceptional and the service is outstanding. We had a small birthday dinner during the week and Kelly went out of her way to add some extra special touch for the birthday girl. The restaurant is on the 4th floor of the building and has a great view of Old Town Temecula. Plenty of seating at the bar (indoor/outdoor) and tables inside and outside. I've been here multiple times, but always forgot to put something on Yelp! I'd give this place 6 stars if I was able to. read more

Amazing ambiance and great owners. Obviously when a restaurant is packed you shouldn't except things to happen quickly. As patrons, we should exercise patience and allow the establishment to do their job. I highly recommend the Burgers and Beers. Wow! Food and drinks were amazing. So good, I didn't even take photos of everything. The Ahi Tuna Taco... hands down amazing and the presentation was on point. I also ordered a side of mushrooms because the Taco wasn't every filling. If you like lamb as well, highly recommend it. For happy hour, try the fries but get a mix of the truffle oil and garlic parmesan. They were able to do it and I don't want fries any other way! My party sat outside at the balcony area and there was a nice mist that they kept circulating. Made the outdoor experience pleasant. Also, our waiter was very attentive and had recommendations for days. We asked, he knew. I would come back when I'm in the area again. read more

We came here for lunch the other day. It was hot, and with the open air atmosphere, the inside of the restaurant was super hot, so we decided to sit outside where it was shaded and at least there were misters. Our food was really good. My hubby had a burger that he really enjoyed, and I had the turkey burger that was excellent. Not at all dry like some turkey burgers can be. Fries were good too! I'm between 3 and 4 stars here. I've been both at night for the nightclub and for lunch. It's a really cool venue because it's a rooftop restaurant/bar so it overlooks the town. At night the remove the tables and it turns into a poppin club. I was disappointed that they only had 2 white wines available at nighttime though, it's wine country! For lunch we got the blackened chicken sandwich and the ahi tuna sandwich and the mushroom fries. The blackened chicken sandwich was ok but the ciabatta was really good. The ahi sandwich was awesome but both sandwiches needed a heavier hand with seasoning. The blue cheese aioli saved them though. I was REALLY excited to try the mushroom fries but I was disappointed when they came out and I saw the small portion of mushrooms on top. My friends ordered the fried artichokes which were amazing though. Perfectly crisp and well seasoned! read more
