Inside, the ambiance reminds me of Nor Cal - SF with a cool neighborhood restaurant where the surrounding area melts away. It's classy yet unpretentious. We took my Yelp friend Lori out for her birthday and we all chose the price fixe meal. The entrance can be confusing only because the front door jams shut and one has to go through the back of the restaurant. You get 4 course plus a bread course and amuse bouche. Let's pause for the bread course. This bite sized piece of heaven is otherworldly. They need to serve more of it throughout the meal. The chef's starter was lovely and then we settled into our meal. It will be European style service so definitely let them know if you need to hit a show or movie. From the four courses we tried a bit of everything: Beef tartar (wonderful and innovative version of this dish), foraged mushrooms, charred cabbage, beet passionfruit salad, filet mignon, duck confit, and the only dessert that matters: charred butter cake. All were stellar!! Not a miss on the menu and all at 5 star quality. We also had tea and a cocktail, again both were outstanding. The service needs refinement though. It's a step below Michelin level fine dining indeed. I brought two bottles of wine, corkage $25 each, and never once was our glasses filled. I filled up everyone's glasses all night. This was irritating as not only did I pay corkage, but they added $10 tip to corkage with automatic 20% tip at end. The server did not deserve that extra $10 although she was lovely throughout the meal except for one more misstep. After the main meal was over, I wanted to have some more of that wondrous bread and was told the kitchen was closed. We were never warned about this. Every restaurant tells the guests at least 15 minutes before the kitchen closes. Other than those minor mistakes, this was a fine dining meal not found anywhere else in this part of S Cal/Riverside County. Highly recommended!!

The next course was duck confit followed by filet mignon then dessert. I usually have pictures for my reviews, but I was so thoroughly enjoying my food I plum forgot to take a picture. Every good and wine pairing was perfect. To be fair I passed this place a few times, but never really knew they served food because of the name. You need this food in your life. My husband and I will be back.

Delivering a draft beer with a thick tall head of foam is ripping off the customer. As soon as the foam settles the beer is down by about ten sips. It's nice that the happy hour reduces appetizer costs by a few dollars but not even one of the appetizers can be considered on the healthy side. Way too many hungry mosquitos on the small patio. Maybe consider placing some sort of mosquito deflectors from Amazon out front.

Having going to your restraurent and bar and having spent about $1000, last night it seems one of your bartender (blond) thought I was taking photos of her with my cell phone, this was not the case because I didn't even take any photos there. She took it up on her self to tell a rather obnoxious friend at the bar as she served him shots I was taking photos, he demanded to see my photo picture which i denied that request because it's not his businees to see my phone, If she was concerned about having photos taken perhaps her attire would want other to do this, I was with a friend and i really don't know if he was the one to take a photo. If she was concerned about photos she should have asked managment instead telling her drunk friend which could have resulted in a physical dispute. She showed very poor judgment and with her friend saying it was his "home girl". When my friend returned from the restroom another bartender (female) came and told us that he was taking photos and it made the blond bartender uncomfortable and asked us to pay the tab and so we left. She apparently was not uncomfortable to have her loud obnoxious friend approching customer. I am a professional photographer by profession and also a credit press photographer and new correspondence. i am weight the possiblilities of doing a write up of this event. I wll never be a customer to this restaurant and will convey this to my friends also. Perhaps you should tell workers not to tell their friend to intervene when their is a possible problem. 4 read more

Pretty disappointed. Luke's is a favorite of mine I go to on special occasions. Unfortunately they have a pretty unprofessional way of handling things more times than I'd like. I called to make a reservation. I was told 800 is too late as the kitchen closes at 830. I was completely understanding, and even said I worked in the industry when I was younger, didn't wanna be the "show up and order late guy". I than suggested 730 so I was not going to make them late. She responded that it was better if I could do 700. I agreed,even though it was a bit too early than we wanted. ( it says they close at midnight on the website?). A few moments later my phone rings and it's the young gal scheduling, saying it's her birthday and can I come at 630 instead. Now I understand it's her birthday, but why not SHE take the night off? Why are you turning away guests 6 hours early for this girls birthday party? I guess it's confusion, as I was trying to be accommodating but she was not appreciative at all, and had an attitude about it? Very strange as I'm the one being screwed here and being nice about it. Well you guys have great food and a decent staff, had some hiccups a few times now though and we aren't jerk patrons. We tip well and we're nice, cmon Luke's. Get your act together, we're back from the pandemic and trying to be out and kind to one another. While we're being cool about it we're being spoken to shortly, just a disappointing experience. read more

Our Valentine's Day dinner at Luke's on Front in Temecula was absolutely perfect from start to finish! The romantic ambiance set the stage for a beautiful evening with the love of my life, and the exceptional service made it truly unforgettable. Our server, Kaitlyn, was simply amazing--warm, attentive, and knowledgeable. She made sure every detail was just right, enhancing our dining experience with her thoughtful and friendly service. The food was beyond incredible! The filet mignon was cooked to perfection--tender, juicy, and full of flavor--while the Robin's Nest chicken melted in my mouth, with the rich and tangy lemon caper sauce adding the perfect touch. Every bite was heavenly! A special thank you to Derrick for crafting a crème brûlée vodka martini that was absolutely delightful--smooth, creamy, and the perfect indulgence. Danny, the busboy, also deserves praise for keeping our table spotless and ensuring we had everything we needed throughout the night. And to top it all off, we shared the most fabulous crème brûlée dessert--a sweet, creamy, caramelized masterpiece that was perfect for sharing. It was the ideal way to end such a wonderful meal. Came here today and ended up staying for a few hours with a group of my very close friends who are here from LA. Not ever being to Lukes we thought we'd give it a try since we were told they had Sunday NFL Ticket. Wow are we glad we did. Besides having the Sunday Ticket they have Frankie (Frank) the bartender!!. (The Russian on Rocky LOL) The guy is awesome!! From the time the 6 of us walked in the door and sat at the bar to the time that Frankie got off shift (he even came around from the bar and told everyone "goodbye and Thank You" before he left, who the hell does that!? So awesome) dude was on point and never missed a beat. Not with just us, not with just the other people at the bar but the way he treated the other staff and the way the other staff treated him, he was certainly leading the way! Pleasant, accommodating, makes suggestions about the food and drinks that none of us would of ever of thought to make. It's been a long time since we we're treated and appreciated by someone in the Industry and if ever. Lukes you found the golden egg. My husband, friends, and I have been regulars at Luke's on Front, drawn back time and again by the spectacular food and breathtaking rooftop views. The atmosphere and cuisine truly set this place apart, making it one of our favorite spots. However, there's one area in need of improvement: the bar service. As a former industry professional, I understand how busy and demanding bar shifts can be. But it's disappointing to see bartenders frequently on their phones, engaging in long chats with regulars while other customers are left waiting. During a recent visit, it took over 20 minutes just to get acknowledged and another 10 to receive our drinks. This has been a recurring experience, and it's unfortunate because it detracts from the otherwise fantastic experience Luke's provides. I kindly urge management to address this issue with the bartending team. Customer engagement and prompt service are essential, and having bartenders more attentive to all guests would elevate the overall experience. This place is a real bummer for me. I am a native of Temecula and it really does not represent my city well at all. It has a snobby vibe, is over priced, and the service is terrible and is close to down right rude. The owners walk around with shirts that are embroidered with "Master". The two "masters" that were there when I was sitting at the bar did not say one word to my mom and I until we paid the bill. It is unbelievable that the owners of a new place were this cold. When the bartender was taking our order she was talking to other people and stopped us half way through our order to answer other questions from people. She gave the vibe as if we are a burden on her. We ordered the bacon scallops as an appetizer. The scallops were very good. The problem was that it was $14 and we got 3 scallops! I don't understand the good reviews of this place. It is missing what any great place has. I hope they turn it around but until then anyone who goes there will be overpaying for the food and the service. Real disappointment. read more

I am so happy this place is still open during covid. I came here for the first time a week ago and the food, drinks, and service was FANTASTIC. When you first walk in the hostess greet you and are very attentive to there guests which is a good start. We had the option to go to the bar and get food and drinks or we can get a table with the same service. Me and my husband went to the bar while we waited for our table (the wait was 10 minutes but we got to our table within 5 minutes) SCORE!!! The food was fantastic we got some appetizers which was the chiefs VIP board. Then we got our dinner, my just and got the "wam bam" and I got the chipotle chicken wrap. everything was so good and filling. Don't even get me started about the drinks. If I could I would have tried every drink on the menu because they were so good. our server was very attentive and made sure we had the best experience we have ever had. The main thing that brought us here today was the patio. Luke's is on the fourth floor in Temecula Old Town with a bar that opens up to the patio and you can choose to sit inside and look out or sit outside and look in. With the gorgeous weather being what it was today, we chose to sit outside. The place was quiet and not very busy, which was expected for a Monday afternoon. Great selection of beers on tap. I ordered their (new to the menu) Crab Melt Sandwich, which was FANTASTIC. Made on sourdough with all the sauces and fixings. I sided it with asparagus with béarnaise sauce. I was overly impressed. My date had Luke's Signature Burger and added bacon and avocado. I am all for adding more and paying extra but at this place that did get pretty pricey. We had the pleasure of being served by the owner. He gave us some insight on the place and was warm and welcoming. Overall, I enjoyed it. Was a little expensive for a Monday lunch. I recently dined at Luke's on Front Street, Temecula, and unfortunately, the food didn't meet expectations. The truffle mac and cheese was watery and lacked the creamy texture I was hoping for. The fries were soggy and had to be returned, and the calamari was bland with no seasoning to enhance the flavor. The ribeye sandwich was also disappointing -- the ribeye was extremely dry, and the sandwich lacked flavor overall. What saved the experience was the outstanding service provided by our server, Jamie. She was incredibly attentive, understanding, and went above and beyond to make things right. Jamie ensured the soggy fries and watery mac and cheese were promptly addressed and handled everything with such professionalism. Her dedication to making our experience better really stood out, and she deserves major kudos for her effort! We checked out this place for date night, and it was a solid choice! It's a rooftop bar and restaurant with a great view of Old Town Temecula. The vibe is nice--nothing too fancy, but definitely not too casual either. The food was really good. It had that fancy look to it and awesome flavors. We tried the seafood pasta and a big burger. The pasta was delicious, and the burger hit the spot, too. The Old Fashioned was a bit sweeter than I expected, though. Overall, it's a great spot with a fantastic view and a nice atmosphere. The owners of this Resturant are amazing. If you knew them and talked to them they have such big hearts and will always try to make things right. I've read some reviews on here and it's just not right. That's why I'm writing this post. This is how our world has gone. If something is not the way you want it complain and hurt others. I have a business and I understand this big time. No one is perfect but I will say Lukes food and the staff try hard and if you just stop them and look into their eyes and talked to them I know you would be happy. Luke's on Front never disappoints! The food is consistently fresh, flavorful, and beautifully prepared. Every dish my girlfriend and I tried has been delicious, and you can tell they use quality ingredients. The service is just as impressive--our waiter Tyler is friendly, attentive, and genuinely makes you feel welcome from the moment you walk in. Tyler goes above and beyond to ensure you have a great dining experience without ever feeling rushed. Went here for lunch yesterday while visiting with friends. The atmosphere is amazing... you are up on the 4th floor overlooking the town with the mountains in the background - all open air and wonderful! Had a salad that was incredibly fresh and they put lots of avocado in it - most places you cannot find the avocado - I split the salad with my husband - and they plated it for us and we both had plenty - and this was a side salad. Prices are great for the quality which is excellent and the portions are nice too. Will definitely put this on my return list. read more

My experience at Luke's On Front was truly amazing! The rooftop view was the first part to an amazing meal with a view overlooking the whole street with all of the beautiful lights. We then ordered multiple different meals recommended by our server Tyler and they were amazing! The ceviche and twisted mac and cheese were truly amazing and all of the food kept us happy and full. Luke's is my favorite place in Old Town! The atmosphere and view are beyond awesome, the food is fantastic, and the staff/owners will make you feel right at home. We have eaten there several times and have tried numerous menu items. Some of the above reviews that claim the food is bland are just plain ridiculous! Don't waste another minute and check out Luke's for yourself! I would recommend the seafood pasta if you're hungry! It is a great place. The views are fantastic. But the food is really, really great! I went there for their opening night and it was packed. You would expect service or quality to be off a little but not here. I ordered the appetizer Ahi Taco and expected to get a much smaller portion that what I received. It was huge and it was great. Came in for lunch for the first time and we have definitely discovered a hidden gem ,the food and service was the best in all of old town . Been there several times. My wife and I had dinner at Luke's yesterday and the service was subpar. Our calamari appetizer was overcooked; we had it returned to the kitchen and requested a fresh calamari plate. Unfortunately, we never received it. Our waitress was not very attentive and she never told us what the day's specials were. We realized there were specials after seeing the sign on our way out. The main course was excellent. It's one of the few late night places in wine country so it gets busy on weekends. There's live music on weekends as well so if you're sound sensitive I do not recommend. It was quite loud but I personally still enjoyed myself and had a good time singing along. The seating is first come first serve so you might have to wait for a table but usually something opened pretty quickly. The drinks were tasty and the service was good. There is also food options available even in the later evening. We tried the carne asada fries and they were delicious. The cheese sauce and chimichurri cream, with very tender meat, yum!

Seated near a window, I found the atmosphere perfect for a Friday lunch, with minimal noise and confusion. Our server was extremely attentive, and the food arrived quickly. The entrees were perfectly prepared, and the beers were frosty cold. Overall, it was still worthy of a five-star rating, and I will continue to visit for my seafood cravings.

The kitchen clearly knows what they're doing, but better attention to cleanliness and consistency in service would make a huge difference.

It was quite a hot day but they do have misters to cool you off. We ordered salmon burger with truffle fries and ceviche. Everyone enjoyed their meal. My friends also ordered the sangria flight which they enjoyed. The service was excellent. Will definitely be back when it's not so hot outside.

It's disappointing when your husband can cook better than the restaurant and he is the king of Brussel sprouts. Everything else we ordered was amazing and we especially enjoyed the unique Desert Offering My aunt brought the bottle of wine in the picture because they're not selling them anymore and her husband passed away so I think she's going through old bottles that were expensive and sharing with us because she's sweet like that and we are loving it!
