First off as soon as we opened the door we were greeted very nicely by a young man who I assume Is the owner who proceeded to squirt hand sanitizer in our hands and sprayed alcohol on our feet and shoes (big PLUS for me). Second they have all stations protected for nails and pedicures and the protection is spotless. They are extremely sweet, extremely clean and efficient. Crystal Nail moved location a little further south but I had heard good things so called ahead, made an appointment for a pedicure, and hoped that it was still the same great service from the previous location. Pro-tip - enter and exit on the Merrick Ave side and not the Merrick Road side if you can - the Merrick Road entrance gets a crazy long wait. This location is really beautiful and very large and bright. There's free wifi, books, tv screens and everything is very spaced out. Their drying bar is elevated so it kind of looks like you're seated at a table for drinks or something. It's cool. They were pretty busy as can be expected on a Sunday. I still waited about 10-15 minutes after my appt. I wasn't in a rush but I guess that's something to consider if you are on a tight schedule. I might go back on a weekday if that works better. The manager or owner was going around trying to make sure everyone was accommodated though and even started doing someone's toes themselves. I decided to upgrade to a spa pedicure since my nail technician Wendy was so nice. I don't think I have particularly rough feet since I'm still mostly just around the house, but the scrub and moisturizing treatment and massage felt great and Wendy was very thorough. The pedicure turned out great and afterwards Wendy gave me the quick shoulder massage while I waited for my toes to dry. It's cheaper to pay in cash so I did.
