I made appointment with Lydia. I did not have her. Ended up with another lady who had an attitude about doing gel and did an awful job. So much dead skin left around my toes and feet. Before she painted I used my nails to scrap off what I could. This seemed to make her more upset because she had to clip off more skin again. The paint job on both my hands and feet was awful. It was uneven on the surface with clumps on one side and not painted well. Lydia obviously has regulars because she attended to them instead of doing me. First time there and when made appointment did not tell my husband was cash only. Had to zelle money. Place was old and run down. Bathroom was like a third world country. Cannot poop or put toilet paper in toilet. Would never go back. read more

Lydia was great and the rest of the staff were also friendly, however if we were to rate via service alone, I would mark it average purely because the man who did my mani pedi rushed through it during Sunday Labor Day (they were about to close at night) Nail bed wasn't filed as much, the paint job could have been given extra care, and a bit more foot scrub would have been appreciated. Top marks for allowing cash, credit and Venmo. Top marks for it to be super cheap too (my mani pedi was $20 and I wasn't sure because he knew that it was a rough job. However I tipped more than necessary as he reminded me of my dad). read more

Made an apt, came there 5 min early and waited for 25 min to actually get service. No apology made. Sat down, boyfriend wanted eyebrow wax, he asked and they said yes, never gave him a wax. Not sure what the point of making an appt was. Place is ok, nail service is ok , one of my gel nails is already peeling after 4 days... i wouldn't go back. Way too many better places in LB. Go to sues nails, it's worth the 5 bucks extra you would pay for a pedicure and gel. read more

As a person who used to prefer to do my own nails, when I actually had to get my nails done at a salon I tend to look to a place with the frills..which this place is not. HOWEVER, the owner is SO sweet and the staff are all so articulate, that I'm breaking my natural/bare nails look and becoming a repeat and regular customer here. I should have had reservations when I walked in and the owners looked surprised to see me. I needed a new set of acrylics and after seeing glowing reviews for this place I decided to check it out. They gave me acrylics- but I should have been weary when the entire place was dirty and unsanitary. It smelt, and the man who did my acrylics made them totally uneven and slanted (my pinky was on a literal angle, my pointer finger had a bump in it, and half of the acrylics were not on the full finger.) I'm not one to not be a gracious customer so of course I paid full price and tipped the man. But little did I know that the $30 I spend on a new set of acrylics would soon go to waste. Within the first week my thumb chipped. Throughout the days to come, the glue would weaken so much to the point that I had to be nervous about what I was picking up because my nails were that fragile. All of my nails broke on the tops, so much to the point where when I would run my fingers through my hair, CHUNKS of my hair would get stuck in between a piece of nail and an acrylic. I went to another place in Long Beach to get my nails filled in because I refused to go back to art nail, and they almost didn't let me get them filled in because they were so terribly done. The whole place is shady (lots of things going on). To top it all off, I have an infection under my left thumb after getting my nails done here because I'm pretty sure nothing was sterile. Lydia does the best acrylics in long beach. Unfortunately I tend to get obsessive if it is slightly shaped A LITTLE off.... But she always does them the way I want them and correctly! Cute place and everyone is nice. read more

Great 10min massages, ill only go to Lydia for my waxing, who is the owner and speaks great English!! No communication barrier what so ever!
