This nail salon is racist again black women. I walked in and asked for a plan manicure at 6:18pm. The woman in the front said sorry honey we close at 6:30pm. I said no problem and left. From my car I called and asked for the same service and the same woman answered and said sure we are open until 7:30pm. Its no doubt in my mind the reason was because of my skin complexion. Foot spa review... $60 for an hour. Approx $15 more than other foot spas. Granted, it's a lot nicer inside than most and definitely has a luxury spa feel to it. I used to come here all of the time in high school, but now I'm never coming back. I got charged 113 for a regular pedi which is about 26 and a fill in which is 50. On top of getting gypped my nails look like trash. One of my nails is not shaped properly and the design looks like it was rushed. I also have bubbles in the acrylic. The difference between what I asked for and what I got is astonishing. So upset I didn't realize all of this until I left. read more

Since then my nails keep breaking and won't grow. The atmosphere was okay but found it odd that the manicurist put the nail polish that I chose on his own nails while doing mine. I requested to take my acrylics off and the manicurist used a DIRTY METROCARD to do this in plain sight of the manager who just laughed. Straight up. NEVER. AGAIN. There's like TWO people that can do designs and a decent job. Good luck finding them. We just spent $200 on mani pedi for both and a GC. Even the girl at the front desk said "they don't have time for me" when I complimented her nails and asked her where she got them done. Her "friend" did them for her. Obviously you can't get a good job done here unless you're chummy. I asked for a new set coffin shaped. I had my phone out with the design I wanted and brought a $2 bill I wanted to put into my nails. Their Instagram has F word real flowers imbedded in nails. You would think when I asked for this she would know what I'm talking about instead of bitching to her manager about it. What a mistake asking for coffin shape. She literally cut the tip into a stop sign applied the acrylic then had to file the shape in. Like what the f!!!!! WASTE OF TIME. Who trained this woman? She's wasting material and my time. Also filing my finger off trying to get the shape done. OW OW OW I've never had a nail tech file into my finger so hard to make me complain. My nail looks like a stop sign. Thanks! Now I have to get my nails done again! WASTE OF $70. I was so fed up watching her I told her to forget the designs and just paint them. She was REALLY happy to not do shit. JJ is just couple blocks away from my house and I love them so much. Jack does an amazing job (i get powder gel dip nails) being that its typically a very long service he does it pretty quickly and almost perfectly every single time. I was indecisive picking a color and Kiki was so patient and even tried on two colors so I could see which looked better. Was looking for a new nail & eyebrow spot since moving to LB about a month ago. I got a powder gel manicure, pedicure, and eyebrow wax with Lina, and she did an AMAZING job on all three. She was thorough, attentive, friendly, and took her time to make sure everything was perfect. I'm extremely happy with the level of detail that was achieved, and the price for it all was incredibly fair. On top of that, the salon itself is nice and clean. So I last reviewed this place 6 months ago & decided to update my prior review. This is still a 5 star salon. They still have the best nail techs, do great designs and are very clean. Since I first went there, I have brought many friends who love it there. BUT I guess they got too busy and recently raised their prices - without updating their posted prices! As a result a simple acrylic fill-in with acrylic polish and a pedi cost me $70!!! There posted price was $40. When I argued with them they said oh the increased their prices. Long story short, they refused to honor the posted sign after all the patronage (and $$) me and my friends gave them. They did not do the right thing by me and I very dissapointed. I will no longer be going there for my regular services. Only when I want special designs. read more

Prices went up substantially. I got gel tips like I have in the past the woman seeming did them good but they mostly broke in the first week. This is prissy but I dont have the time to go back with a young baby and work so I had to wait 3 weeks and just lived with the broken nails. When I went back they said they had to take them all off and recharge me full price again. The girl who did them I know is really good but I had 7 nails left and only one was detaching. I'm not a novice I understand when they need to be re done I was pissed to have to spend over 80$ to get them done again. Even the regular mani pedi (gel posing for the mani) went up to 60$ . honestly I was fine with prior pricing since the quality was inconsistent at time but with these higher prices I will be looking else where I'm not one of the rich people in the three story houses they're building nor am I one of the new city people that have moved here. I didn't catch the girls name who did my nails but I was looking at everyone around me and all of their nails looked amazing too as they were leaving. I'm not one to give reviews, but I just had the worst experience of my life at JJ nails. it started off with them soaking off my gel polish or way too long as well as my friend's. They didn't take it off until complaints that our hands were burning so bad we couldn't take it. I asked the nail tech to make sure she remembered the design on my nails because I wanted the same manicure. She switched me to another nail tech, who had no idea what design I had on my nails before. She asked me what color I wanted, I told her I wanted what I had on before so it might be best for the other nail lady to do them. She lied and said the other girl told her what to do. She then proceeded to give me the worst manicure of my life. Half of my nails are round and the other half are square. the design could've been done by my 4 year old nephew. Worst of all, it cost me FORTY DOLLARS for a plain gel manicure with a shitty design. The girl paying in front of me was charged 25$ for fixing a single acrylic. They tried to charge my friend $30 extra dollars for a design she wanted!! disgusted by JJ, never again. read more

Stopped in here for a regular manicure with removal of gel polish that was done elsewhere. I didn't have an appointment, but they took me right away. Now I know after removing gel the nail surface can be uneven, but this manicure was pretty unacceptable. Not only does it appear rough but it chipped 4 hours later. (This picture is from the same day). Luckily I wasn't getting my nails done for any special event. Also, in general I don't care much about the massages at nail salons but this one lasted less than a minute and the lady couldn't have used less pressure if she tried-- I actually didn't even know if she was massaging my back or just patting my shoulder to say goodbye when she started.
