My gel manicure started chipping after a few days. No massage. Too many nail places, won't be going back

I just had the closest thing I've ever had to an out of body experience. Your girl loves a coupon and I had $10 off on a relax spa pedicure. I didn't read what that included. Started off putting my hands in lotion gloves and putting my hands into a heated pocket- forcing me to put my phone down and enjoy the moment even more. Then this man Jun unleashed ancient massage secrets on my feet during a 25 minute massage while they broke out a steamer over my legs. I would give 50 stars if I could. read more

Great service, friendly & professional. The place is kept very clean and when you walk in the atmosphere it is warm and welcoming. I've gotten my nails done by a few different nail technicians here, and each time, I was pleased. Today, Jenny did my color gel manicure, and I am extremely happy with the results. Jenny is friendly, helpful, patient, accommodating, pays attention to detail (which is a big thing to me), and most of all, Jenny is very good at what she does...nails! I recommend this salon to anyone in the area looking to try a new nail salon. read more

1st time did a great job- 2nd & 3rd- not great & 1 time I wasnt even offered the massage. I like consistency.

Lucy was amazing - great service. Nails came out beautiful. Would highly recommend. Can't wait to return.

I love this place! Amazing green tea pedicure, with that 20 min calf rub, plus it's cheaper than most other places. I've been experimenting with different types of tips and extensions, and they're willing to work with me and try different combos. Gel extensions last a good 3 weeks, been loving my silk extensions with some Hard gel on top. They always remember my color too. read more

Decided to trust these yelp reviews and got my nails done here for my bridal shower and I'm so glad I did! I showed my nail technician, Jackie a picture of exactly what I wanted and it came out to be even better! I got a special gel French manicure (Grew my nails our purposely) and a pedicure and it came out better than the picture!! Most of all, this place was *clean, had new pedicure chairs *Jackie was extremely attentive and kind. Will stop by again when I am around town! Highly recommend!!! read more

Don't go for powder gel. My friend and I went in to get powder gel before going out for a friends birthday. They were nice and sat us right away as I had made an appointment prior to arriving. I looked at the reviews and photos and thought they would be good. I guess they maybe just specialize in manicures and UV gel because the powder gel came out horrible. We both walked out with THICK nails and mine were not smooth at all. I didn't notice until a little later and too late for me to return since I needed to be somewhere. Although the customer service was good and they were nice - I go there with the intention of having nails I love. They weren't filed down almost at all, which I didn't notice because I was talking to my friend. Maybe I'm just too trustworthy, but I don't ever want to be on top of someone while they're doing their job. It's just not who I am. Going to another place. I also filed them myself to be more square and she filed one of my nails super crooked. read more

went back recently to get a gel mani and spa pedi. BEST EXPERIENCE ONCE AGAIN. they never let me down with their services! I live in Queens, so it's a good 35 minutes drive, but it is worth EVERY minute! I asked for their special Pomegranate Spa (little more $ than their popular green tea spa) but HANDS DOWN, the BEST spa EVER in my life. I usually don't get spas (regularly), but when I do, I personally pay a little more for special ones, and so far this has been the best. best out of best. Period. I will be returning for my wedding mani and pedi they do a fantastic job so they earned my trust with my special day man/ped. highly recommend Sue. She's so sweet (quiet), and does her job PERFECT. read more

Ashley is hands down one of the best at Nail House. She always takes the time to do my daughters nails with such patience and love. We absolutely adore her. The nail salon is spot on all the time and they always go out out of their way to help us with anything. Annie who does my nails is amazing as well. She makes my short stubby nails look beautiful. I can't say enough about Nail House & Spa. It's just so relaxing getting a mani n or pedicure there. read more

So bad. Thats all. Going tomorrow for a refund on my $80 gel extensions!! $80!! For xs length when I asked for medium and gel polish that peels. The sides of my nails didn't have any product and my thumb actually chipped. Mind you all I got these done today and this happened within hours. They also forgot to put a topcoat on my pedicure and stated "well do it later". So angry. I have the recipe and will go tomorrow and ask for a refund. read more

I am extremely disappointed with my nails. Not only did they cost way more then I was expecting but my gel polish has ripples in it and 2 days after I got them done my polish started to peel and then a couple days after THAT the gel fill in itself started to peel and break as well. Which is infuriating because the nail technician insisted the gel she was going to use instead of the acrylic I wanted would "last so much longer" and "is so much stronger" - FALSE $50 for my nails to peel and break within 2 days! Would not recommend this place. read more

I was in the area to visit a friend and we decided to go to the nail salon to get my nails done after I had it done a while ago. Flushing nail salons are small or not all that clean but when I walked in here, it was spacious and very clean. The staff was very accommodating and friendly. They acknowledge that you are there and treat you well, they way all customers should always be treated. I would definitely come back when I'm back in the area!! read more

Not thrilled. Visited Nail House about five times and each time I go I'm less satisfied. This time I had a pedicure (with appointment). My pedicure lasted about 17 minutes and I felt like my toes were being attacked with the nail cutter and cuticle pusher. The place is not as clean as it once was, and I could do a better job myself in the comfort of my own home. Glad I brought my own polish color so I can fix my toes later. They reuse the same tools without cleaning or sanitizing in between customers. Drive a little farther away for a more relaxing pedicure or manicure. read more

Had a to go spot for gel manicures with nail art but their prices went up so I decided to look around and came across this place with my in-law. This place is really clean and I loved how they have variety of colors. I wasn't able to get her name but I showed her the nail designs I wanted and she was able do them for me. She really cleaned up my cuticles - which I was really happy with. I didn't feel rushed and felt comfortable. Overall, I was satisfied with the end result and will definitely come again. read more

If I could give them no stars I would. WARNING: DO NOT GO HERE IF YOU ARE A WOMAN/MAN OF COLOR. From the minute I walked into the door I felt as though I was being treated differently and not being taken seriously. BEWARE OF KIM. Not only was she rude and aggressive the entire time, but she RUSHED ON MY $80 NAILS in order to take the next person. So rude and inconsiderate. All the woman that work there are prejudice, and arrogant. I will definitely not ever be going back. No worth the money, not worth the time. read more

So this review will not be long. My initial review I said I needed to come back to give an accurate experience. Well I just left out and am now updating them to 5 stars! When I came in Ashley informed me there would be a 40 minute wait because 3 people had appointments and it's a holiday weekend. I told her I was okay with that and would wait. Within 10 minutes I was seated and my nails were done. Love the service, love my nails, overall I am so loving this place! read more

Came here for mani pedi for the first time. The lady who did my nails did an excellent job on my toes and gave a really good foot massage! . My nails, I wish I can say the same, it was not so great. My nails weren't cleaned properly and my cuticles weren't cut nice. When she applied the paint it wasn't even or neat looking. I didn't say anything at the time because I was in a rush to get ready for a birthday dinner but I would have. I will try again! read more

Great salon. It's very clean and spacious! You can definitely feel relaxation vibes as soon as you step in. All the workers are friendly and polite. They are very organized and really take care of their customers overall experience. I wanted an ocean theme design, and "Ashley" did an awesome job. She has a good eye for nail color. I was indecisive with my colors, and she was able to pick one out that I ended up loving. Her details were impeccable. I got gel manicure and it stayed on for a long time. I don't get my nails done often, but I visited here through a friend's recommendation and got my nails done here for the New Year. My friend and I made a last minute reservation and they were able to accommodate us. My first impression was that the customer service was good because they were expecting us. We were a bit early, but they seated us immediately. The salon is kept really cleanly and they have a huge nail polish selection. I couldn't decide on what exact design I wanted, so I went with my manicurist's recommendation. I seriously got so many compliments at my holiday party. My cuticles usually bleed at other salons, but they were really gentle on my cuticles. I wish I got my manicurists name cause the short, hot towel hand massage was seriously so good. I'm so happy it's located close to my work, cause I think I found one go-to nail salons. I'd definitely go back to get another manicure and try a pedicure/foot massage next time! read more

My wife goes here and is quite happy (and she is difficult to please). Mani, peti and massage. I personally see Kay at least once a week (sometimes more) for the chair massage. Here's what you need to know: The place is clean. The owner/managers speak well. The staff are friendly and pleasant. Parking may be difficult at times but you can always park around back if you aren't lazy. You get what you pay for...I am guessing from the other reviews that the prices are on the high end for these type of services. Did I mention the place is clean? read more

Best gel manicure I've gotten- I've been to almost every nail salon in Bellmore/Merrick. Just came back to get fresh gel after 2 weeks but they stayed in great condition with minimal chipping, could have gone another week if my nails hadn't grown so much. Erica did my nails today and I'll add the photo. My nails look great. They do charge a few dollars over what I think to be normal price... I'd say they made up for this quite well considering I was given a complimentary massage that lasted for more than 10 minutes. This place has more chairs than most places in the area and I have never had to wait. By the way, someone previously mentioned being charged for having their old gel taken off- I was not charged. Really sweet people who work there too. Was previously a regular between C.C. Nails and Fantastic Nails but my nails haven't looked this nice in a long time. I'll be back next time! read more

I came in for gel nails to help my short, torn nails grow back. The pedicure was fine. However the gel manicure was horrible! She painted on the gel way too thick and when told the polish was bumpy she insinuated that it was my nails that we're bumpy!!! There's bubbles in all the polish and there's nail remnants in the thumb nail! Super disappointed as it was recommended by a friend! Don't come here if u want a quality nail job. My mom lives in Merrick and recommended this salon. As soon as I walked in, I was surprised how spacious and clean this salon was. On top of that, the ladies in the front spoke perfect English. Nail House & Spa - Ombré gel nails by June - Nail Salons Near Me - Merrick, New York

The salon is large, clean, spacious and nicely appointed. They have a huge nail polish selection and were immediate to sit me with JUNE (short strawberry blonde hair). June worked very quickly, overlooking my cuticles. She said "pay now" within minutes of starting and stared at me blankly without telling me the price or writing it on a receipt (like most salons do). After paying 10 DOLLARS (shocking) I asked about my cuticles. She gave a quick glance and did maybe 4 of my fingers. When she finished my polish, I showed her one finger (of many that needed cuticles pulled) and asked she fix it. She just stated rudely after rolling her eyes "cuticle after dry" and ushered me away. Annoyed, I sat and dried and was sure to return to her to clean up my cuticles. She was clearly annoyed that I returned, looked at my nails, said "what cuticle?", laughed and complained to the nail gal next to us while nodding her head implying that there was nothing to fix. After experiencing her obnoxious attitude, I went straight to who I thought was the owner and explained June's shoddy work and worse...her offensive attitude. The owner sat and calmly did my cuticles for about 5 minutes & wished me a good night with a smile (no apology) upon finishing. Worth mentioning: In addition to making her customers feel uncomfotable JUNE spoke ill of other customers...laughing/making comments to her neighbor as customers walkied in. I would return here if necessary but never to "JUNE" read more

This is hands-down the best nail salon in the neighborhood. As soon as I walked in, the first to catch my eye was how immaculate the store was! Upon my service request, I was taken in immediately and I had the nail technician named Jackie. I highly recommend making an appointment with Jackie because your girl was not disappointed! I told Jackie I had a baby shower (it's a boy!) to attend and wanted my nails colored blue but did not want just a monotonous color scheme, but also didn't want to steer away from blue! Creatively, she picked out these amazing blue colors and even added an accent nail of shimmer! Once we got the mani started, I was impressed at how my nails were shaped, cuticles were cut (only if needed!) and *drum roll please* the highlight of all my manis--warm towel and hand massage!!! The best! & Finally, the polish! I'm sure everyone can agree with me when I say that from the first coat of color you can already tell if your polish is going to turn out great or not. Jackie was meticulous with the polish and it was so nice and evenly spread out! If you couldn't already tell, I loved every minute of this manicure! & I've been going back religiously since! I have also recommended this place to my friends and I can't wait to go back again with them! Trust me, you won't regret coming here! read more

Beyond disappointed. I made an appointment for 5:45 PM for a mani and pedi. With all my accountability I apologized for being late as I walked in at 5:56 PM. Their website states they close at 7 PM. The pedicure was done in 15 minutes, I timed it as I saw the nail technician rushing through the whole process. My nails were not cut nor shaped nor was I asked if I wanted them cut. The cuticles were not cut nor cleaned either. I was so disappointed that I didn't even get a manicure as I have never been rushed out of place like this before. It's unfortunate because I come here all the time. Unfortunately, this will be my last time. read more
