Indu is always good at cleaning up my eyebrows and not taking off too much. She's always nice and her family is very kind too. She prefers cash but she does have a Venmo option available. Note that she's closed on Tuesdays. She also gives a heads-up when she'll be away on vacation. I am giving five stars but I think others should be aware that it's safer to make an appointment or call ahead because I have stopped by at least three times over the years over an hour before the listed closing time and found that it's already closed. At first I was suspicious of all of the 5 star reviews. How is it possible that a shoe-box sized shop with a very small staff could muster up SO many consistently positive reviews? Walk in on any weekend and you'll see how popular and talented Indu is. She's a sweetheart and will warmly greet you, discuss what shape you like, how much to take off, etc. She shows that shes want all her customers to walk out happy. Indu does not make my brows pencil thin and tries her best to match the funny shapes they grown in. If you go enough, she will also remember how you like your brows. The rest of the face threading is mostly painless, as well. Full disclosure: I used to use this horrible stanky cream to remove my upper lip fuzz but threading is way better and lasts longer. I also don't get pimples from it. I occasionally like to get tint, but I do tend to wash my face a lot and rub my eyes so it does not last more than a few days. I went here a few days ago nervous because I had never got my eyebrows or lip threaded before and she was great about it. I felt like I was spending time with my mom as she was showing me pictures of previous jobs. She shaped my eyebrows since it had been months since I got my eyebrows done. Told me how to hold my eyebrows and push out my lip so it wouldn't hurt as bad. Then she tinted my blonde eyebrows to match my roots. I don't think that my eyebrows have ever looked better. I went to this salon after reading rave reviews on Yelp. The owner, Indu was a very nice person and truly did a wonderful job. Unfortunately, I will not be returning unless safety protocols are evaluated and changed. We are in a pandemic and the owner was sitting in the salon with no mask on when I arrived, asked me to sit in the same chair she was in without wiping it down or disinfecting the area, did not sanitize her hands, put on a mask covering only her mouth and NOT her nose and proceeded to do my eyebrows while breathing very heavily all over my face. I really wanted to love this place given all the great reviews but safety comes first, especially during these times. I have gone to other salons during the pandemic where they took safety protocols very seriously and I will stick to those places for now. I do hope this salon will start to enforce better safety protocols, it would be a shame if anyone got sick over something that could be easily remedied with proper precautions. Update: Given the response that this salon does not seem to believe they are doing anything wrong by breathing over their customers, I have notified the local authorities to inspect and ensure proper safety measures are being taken in order to protect the community. She is patient, kind, and incredibly experienced. She takes her time, and will give you exactly what you ask for, going section by section and even hair by hair if necessary.
