Only been a few times so far but i could never go back to not getting sugared! It is so quick and honestly not as painful as you think. I was more worried about it being awkward because obviously it can be intimidating getting an intimate area done but it wasn't at all! Yes the first time hurts the worst and its not as bad anytime after that. Im usually in and out in 20 mins or less. Front desk staff is always super friendly and Amanda who does the sugaring is the best and makes you feel really comfortableIf you have any reserve about doing it, just go! 10/10 recommend! read more

I just moved to Long Island and was in search of a place to do my eyebrows. I came across Bare Fruit and they did not disappoint. I was on time for my appointment and the woman at the front desk checked me in right away. Amanda quickly took me to the back and began working on tinting and shaping my eyebrows. She was very personable and sweet and even offered me restaurant recommendations in the neighborhood. After about 30minutes I had new brows. They were perfectly shaped to frame my face. I went 7/27/19 & this was my first time getting a Brazilian done with sugar wax. I only had 3 Brazilians done prior and it was with regular wax at EWC & not at a consistent basis. The pain was not as bad AT ALL! & I'm comparing that with the pain I felt with regular wax from EWC. Now that was a whole other level of pain! On a scale from 1-10 I rate the pain of a Brazilian with sugar wax a 7. With sugar wax it was very much smoother and not patchy at all compared to regular wax from EWC. I can't wait to go back & get other things sugar waxed as well! & I wish I knew the name of the lady that did my Brazilian; she was very nice & actually felt bad because my hair was very dense due to the fact that I shaved a few times prior. She also showed me the hair and I even saw the roots! I was very happy with the results & will definitely be going back! read more

This place is simply AMAZING!! From start to finish. Sev (sorry if I'm spelling it wrong) was beyond friendly and welcoming, and explained everything before and after, was not pushy and really cared about my experience. (Sometimes when you go to places they are pushing products or pushing you to return - not here - they are beyond professional) PS- why can't every business have a Sev? Ashley (who I did my sugaring with was BEYOND amazing, she was super patient and made me feel comfortable (which is what we want when someone is dealing with our private area). I literally didn't feel much -which is saying a lot as I've gotten Brazilian's for years and it's always a painful experience, and I kind of dread going back - NOT WITH THIS PLACE - I'm excited for my next appointment. My first visit was today for a dermaplaning appointment with Shari. The space was very nice, clean and modern. I was 10 mins early for my appointment but we started a little bit later than my scheduled time which was fine with me. However, I did feel like my appointment was rushed and I'm assuming that it was rushed because of the late start. I expressed my concerns about 2 things prior to the beginning of the dermaplaning appointment: 1. Hair regrowth and 2. The way that my hairline would look since I naturally have a lot of baby hairs. I was assured that the hairs would not grow back thicker or darker and as far as my hairline, it would be as natural as possible. Shari was professional and everything was clean, but coming down to the end of the process everything felt rushed. I did not even realize that we were done. During my appointment, someone knocked on the door for her and she responded, then left the room. I was laying there for a few mins when I realized that the appointment might've been over. As I got my self together and was putting my jacket back on, she came back to ask me if everything was okay. I said yes and that is when I realized that the appointment was in fact over lol. I would've preferred to be given a mirror in the end to review the outcome and at that point given any feedback or for any questions that I had to be answered. Once I got home, I reviewed my skin with a closer look and I was fairly happy with the outcome. However, my hair line is so harsh and sharp which is exactly what I did not want. I look as if I got a shape up and I hate this aspect of it especially since I expressed this concern to her prior to her doing it. For this reason, as well as feeling rushed I am rating my dermaplaning appointment as 3 stars.
